I am seeing Dr. Palma after seeing Dr Meyers for years. Both doctors are extremely kind, detailed and receptive to clients needs and questions. I have never had better glasses than the ones here. Much better quality and superb precision to the needs of eyes. This glasses are of high quality and Target or Costco can not even compare. Grandma knows Best :).

This was my first optometry visit in 25 years so I was pretty nervous going in. The entire staff was great making me feel comfortable and showing real care and compassion. The doctor was even better. He was cordial and polite but didn’t waste any time and very quickly diagnosed and suggested lenses. Picking an extremely comfortable frame took minutes and after 25 years I was done in about 30 minutes having two frames on order and all of my questions and concerns addressed.The best experience I’ve ever had at the eye doctor and it’s clear why my wife and kids all drive the extra ten minutes to come here.

The doctors and opticians at Carlsbad Optometry are wonderful. I have been going there since the practice opened at its current location. Dr Witmeyer has helped me with glasses to correct impairments and made excellent referrals to specialists for surgical corrections.The staff is friendly and dedicated to matching the right eyewear for your face and needs. Any questions are answered and issues resolved in a way that lets you know they have your best interest foremost

Dr. Witmeyer is the best! She takes care of my Mom,who has glaucoma and dementia. It is so wonderful to have a doctor like Dr. Witmeyer. She talks to Mom, explaining everything and she is so patient! She so pleasant to work with. I wouldnt trust Mom with anyone else!

Carlsbad Opt was an angel sent from Heaven! My original eye doctor called me the morning of my appt to tell me they were no longer in network of my insurance. They referred me here, and Carlsbad Opt fit me in for same day appointment!!!! Never heard of her!!!! The ladies in the office were so nice and welcoming; and hyped me up when I was trying to find a new pair of sunnies. I hope they stay in our insurance next work forever!!!! Carlsbad Optometry is clearly my goto place for optometry. A visionary in my local community, they have become a focal point for all eye related concerns. When I first made contact, I knew I had peeped the right place. Upon seeing me enter I was provided with top tier customer service. The entire staff is kind, knowledgeable, and caring. The prices are also transparent. I couldnt see myself going to another optometrist again.

Very professional. Scheduling the appointment was easy, the actual appointment was on time and efficient. The people there were warm and friendly. Exam from Dr Millet, was more thorough than I have ever had. Very professional. Office staff was helpful and informative. I selected a pair of frames, and they fitted me for the lenses. Less than two weeks later, I had new glasses. Never in 40 years of wearing glasses have I not needed time to adjust to the new glasses, as far as the bifocal line is. Not this time. The frames fit well, and I do not have any problems. Great experience.

I bought Maui Jim prescription sunglasses way past the two year warranty period. In the past 6 months I needed service for replacement noise pads and today for a broken lens screw. Instead of sending the glasses back to the factory which would take weeks, the staff immediately went to work on them. And it took awhile as it was not easy by any means. I was presented my repaired glasses -- gratis. This is the after the fact type of service that demands my loyalty. Well done.

Love this office! They are always so kind and friendly and go above and beyond for a comfortable and fun encounter. Dr. Millet is fantastic. She is so friendly and helps answer any questions or concerns. She is also accommodating. I messed up with my schedule a little and was a little tight on time and she helped me out. She did my full exam, was efficient, got me checked out quickly, and I made it to my next appointment on time. I will always come back here for my optomotry needs. Thank you!

Phoned this place to inquire an earliest appointment available for a senior citizen and was met with an impatient and unfriendly receptionist. Do yourself a favor and call Ocean Eyes Optometry located not too far away instead. I was able to secure an appointment on the same day and the office manager Hilda is professional and more than happy to help new patients.

I love Carlsbad Optometry! Through an eye exam, they found signs of narrow angle glaucoma and referred me to a doctor for surgery. This would have gone undetected without the thorough testing. Ive just been back for my annual visit and got some new glasses which I love! The optician helped me use my insurance to get the best prices on the glasses. Im definitely a customer for life, and have referred many people who also have been very happy with their services!

All the doctors and staff are experienced, knowledgeable, professional, and wise. They explain everything to me in terms I can understand, they give me lots of options for contacts and glasses, they have state-of-the-art tools, they help with insurance stuff, they always see me promptly and give me their full attention, and their space is gorgeous. My daughter had her first exam at age 6 (as a benchmark), and she felt like a queen! I cannot recommend this business enough.

I did extensive research before committing to a practice. This was my first eye exam in a long while and I didnt want to feel stuck with a poor choice. Carlsbad Optometry exceeded my expectations. The office was very clean and all of the staff members were great to work with. Never once did I feel as though I was just another customer. The processes were explained so that I knew the purpose of everything being done. Regardless of individual needs, I highly recommend this group. Thank you, Dr. Millet.

As a 36yo Ive been wearing reading glasses since high school. Ive never been able to wear my glasses other than reading at the computer or book. After going to Carlsbad Optometry, they told me my prescription was too strong which made everything blurry past a few feet. I also have astigmatism in one eye which Ive always declined to correct after how bad the result was. Ive always only been able to look out the glasses straight out, but when I moved my eyes to the side it didnt work.Fast forward to my visit to Carlsbad Optometry - I finally, in 20 years, got the first pair of glasses that actually worked for me. I never knew before how bad my previous prescriptions were. Im so thankful to have finally gotten a prescription that actually works! Ive had my glasses now for over a year and Im so appreciative every day when I put them on when I sit down at my computer to work. Especially since Im a software engineer. And Ive started wearing them more regularly such as watching TV and what a difference! Thank you!

I love this place! Everyone is very friendly and helpful, the doctors are all awesome, and they have an gorgeous selection of frames to choose from (which makes it hard to choose!). Its also easy to get and change an appointment if your schedule is hard to pin down.

Their eyewear is top designer and therefore expensive, but very nice frame selection. But more importantly, I have a very complicated prescription that is sensitive to every possible variable out there in eyeglass manufacturing.Every optometrist before Dr. Witmyer would have to send the glasses back at least once before it would be correct. After at least a dozen or more pairs of glasses and sunglasses, they always got it right the first time I tried those glasses on, until the latest time when we introduced a prism into my prescription and their eyeglasses extraordinaire Angelica left the office.When my employer was acquired and vision insurance was changed to one where she was out of network, they worked with me to find a suitable arrangement. All you have to be is a loyal customer who treats them fairly and they treat you fairly. Im also always in there getting my glasses adjusted (nosepieces, ear piece adjustments, etc.) and never once have they charged me extra (and Im in there a LOT)!They give me the gift of good vision. There is no price for that. .

Every single person in my family wears glasses or contacts. Me, I am legally blind. Yes. I know. For years I would worry about my contacts, because glasses were so thick I was dictated to wear a certain type of frame. In 2012 we started seeing Dr. Witmeyer. We are still seeing Dr. Witmeyer. We love all of her staff. Sylvia and Lauren are awesome. Fast forward to Covid19, social distancing, things shut down. But I have my special contacts, my life savers because Dr. Witmeyer and her staff made sure she got the order in, mailed to me. Everyday, like no other have I appreciated the efforts made by her, her staff to make sure that I could see and function everyday. Thank you.

Got my prescription wrong the first time. Also my daughters glasses need tightening all the time as it slips off her nose. Had to keep calling to check if the glasses were in. For the price they charge, too much of a headache as you expect better.
