This is my 3rd year with Dr. Addy and team. They sorted out everything that needed attention in year 1, since then they make sure that I am in the hygienist chair every 6 months and I haven’t needed anything since. The technology Dr. Addy uses is next level across his business, from annual 3D scans that allow you to analyze changes from year to year, to appointment setting making the whole experience seamless. The staff at the front desk and his assistants are phenomenal too. Lastly, the new offices are very slick! I highly recommend and have done so when friends have been looking for dental services.

Quality of service has never been an issue, but we have had 2 issues with Dr. Addy. 1) We had to move our daughter to a Pediatric Dentist when she had her first cavity (apx. 6 years ago) and Dr. Addy had difficulty in numbing area for filling. After 30 minutes of trying, my daughters appointment was cancelled and we were told we needed to find a Pediatric dentist to treat her. Best thing to every occur, Pediatric Dentist found an issue after x-rays and my daughter required immediate orthodontist intervention or she was at risk of losing an adult tooth. 2) Watch the billing activities, something changed! I was asked to pay for service as I was leaving the office and prior to the claim bring processed by MetLife Dental. Since I forgot my HSA CC, I called the next day to pay the amount requested ($142). The next day my claim was process and I was overcharged (patient responsibility was $79, not $142). When I called office to explain I was not happy being changed incorrectly and being told I had to pay prior to the claim being processed, I requested a refund. Office told me Dr Addy would call to discuss issue. I never got a call, but I did get my refund and a letter withdrawing services from my family. I will end, MetLife told me NOT to pay until the claim was processed and completed, but I paid anyways. While my tone was not nice when I requested a refund, not calling me to discuss the issue and automatically withdrawing services shows me what I need to know. Also, this was not my first billing issue, but was the one that got me to write this review.

Dr. Addy was highly recommended by my endodontist. So far, Ive been three times: once for a free consultation, once for an exam and cleaning, and most recently, to remove the old crown on the tooth my endodontist saved (redo of a 35+ year old root canal on a molar). I go back in 3 weeks for the new gold crown. Ive been very pleased.The hygienist did an excellent job cleaning and polishing my teeth. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The office is spotless and bright. Dr. Addy put me at ease by discussing all of the details with me. He is professional but also relaxed and funny, and he and his assistant work together well. I often have a post-nasal drip, and he was perfectly fine with pausing as often as I needed to cough, blow my nose, or just to swallow. I didnt have any pain, which aside from the postnasal drip is usually a big concern for me. He let me know what to expect with the temporary crown, which he intentionally made very thin to avoid removing any more tooth structure. The temporary crown fits great, and I expect the permanent one to be, as well.Dr. Addys office also has a dental maintenance plan, which is cheaper than getting insurance since I dont have an employer-sponsored dental insurance plan. Im paying I think $35/mo for semiannual exams, cleanings, XRs as needed, and 10% discount on other services. Since I rarely need anything but cleanings, it works out as a reasonably good deal and increases the likelihood that I will actually go for cleanings, and no need to fight with an insurance company over coverage.I plan to get my husband to go see him for periodontal cleanings and any issues he might have with his dentures.

I am unable to give enough stars for the friendly, professional experience I have with Dr. Drew Addy and his staff. Dr. Addy was able to accommodate an emergency appointment within days before I was an established patient. I am now an established patient. He has a quality staff, excellent hygienist, Brittany, and an incredible, bright office with technology that shows every part of any procedure. I just had my yearly exam with Dr. Addy and it was as usual a wonderful experience. He did a full teeth scan besides XRays and a bite check since I am having issues with my bite. He recommended a sort of grinding of surface of molars to adjust pressure areas during bite. He will also restore contact between 2 molars that has become a good trap!! He explains well and gives choices for treatment !! Very thorough!! I love him!!!

Dr Addy explained in detail why I was having some sensitivity when chewing or biting down. He measured the pressure I was putting in different spots in my mouth and I could see how I was not equalizing my bite. It made total sense and there is treatment to fix this issue!

Dr Addy came highly recommended so I traveled from Arizona to see him. I am so fortunate to have found Dr Addy for my dental veneers. He and his entire team are so welcoming and professional.I am a difficult case due to years of orthodontics and a challenging implant. Dr. Addy was not only able to give me a beautiful smile, but he also fixed my bite. He is friendly, willing to listen, so knowledgable with lots of cool technology, and has a great sense of humor. From my past experiences, I was painfully aware that not all dentists were created equal. Without a doubt Dr. Addy and his team at Carlsbad Beach Dentistry are the best dental group I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I went into his office from a referral saying how great he is at cosmetic dentistry and I was blown away at the expertise, care, technology and overall how they treat each patient. I started out with a basic cleaning but was wanting more from my smile. I had braces as a kid but 30+ years later my smile just wasnt up to par anymore. Dr. Addy offered to do what they call a test drive where he makes a very temporary set of cosmetic improvements and how a new smile makeover with porcelain veneers could look. Dr Addy is a true artist when it comes to giving you that perfect smile. Needless to say I was blown away how much of an improvement it was with color, shape, brightness and overall a wider more perfect smile and how much more confidence it gave me. After a day or so of the test drive I was sold and more than willing to do what it takes to get that Hollywood style set of perfect teeth. Next step was to do impressions and prep teeth for temporary set before the actual final veneers are built. No joke the temporary set looked so great that I had too many compliments to count how great my smile looked and how white and perfect they were. Well that was nothing... cause a few weeks later the permanent porcelain set was ready and the procedure to install them was much easier than expected. I had a set of 10 perfect top white teeth now and I cant thank his team enough for the kindness and care that was given. Not to mention I get complements all the time now how great my smile looks. If I could give Dr. Addy more than 5 Stars I would for sure hes the best in the game no joke give him a visit. I hate going to the dentist. Ive had a lot of dental trauma and needs lots of assurance. I came to the right place when I found Dr Addys office. He is compassionate and trusting...and every single person on the team is the same. I have put off the deep cleaning for YEARS due to fear. Ella just recently did my deep cleaning and I feel SO GREAT that I have finally gone through with it. My teeth feel the best they have in years. Dr. Drew Addy and team responded very quickly to my urgent need of a tooth extraction. I live on Maui and he and his team made an appointment during my quick trip to San Diego. When I got to his new office, they greeted me and gave me a tour of the facilities. Amazing modern place with a great location in Carlsbad. Everyone was very professional with a warm welcome. Dr. Addy proceed to address my tooth extraction detailing every step of the way with very little discomfort. I returned to Maui the next day letting it heal naturally. The office staff are super nice and friendly. The office is beautiful and super clean. They are very accomodating and helpful. My husband had an emergency and they gave him and appointment for next day and while he was being seen, I asked if I could be seen also and they made it happen. Dr. Addy is very frindely and takes time to talk to the patient and go over everything and waits to answer all questions. He is a great doctor. The hygenists are very professional and caring. Getting my teeth cleaned was actually a great experience with their high-tec ultra sound equipment.I had 2 cavities filled, some silver removed and a chip filled.I was surprised that it wasn’t painful Dr. Addy did a super job numbing the gums, And waiting until everything was completely numb which wasn’t my experience with my last dentist.I also had my teeth whitened with the zoom laser! I can definitely see a huge difference. Recommend that to everyone if you are considering.

During the pandemic I have needed to visit twice and I am impressed with the careful manner in which Dr. Addy and his staff protect patients. Of course everyone wears protective gear, but they provide patients with gloves and glasses and check you in outside. Each treatment room has a medical grade air purifier. All these precautions are important to me since at 85 I am vulnerable. Of course the staff and Dr. Addy are attentive to patient needs as they always have been, but the enhanced precautions are excellent additions.Dr. Addy and his staff took over the practice of my former dentist and he seems to have established himself as a leading dentist in the area. He is meticulous and thorough with a kind and gentle manner. At 83 I have experienced almost every kind of dental care and personally I would put Dr. Addy at the top of my experience. I’ve been going to another dentist whom I was pleased with but recently moved to North County so I tried Carlsbad Beach Dental on the recommendation of a friend and because of its proximity. This was my second time at Dr. Addy’s office. I went initially for my first consultation and a cleaning as a new patient. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and informative, the office is clean and efficient (especially with covid stuff still in place) and they played great music. My cleaning went smoothly and I was informed I had to come back for a small filling. This was an issue I knew I had previously and they were very accommodating about a timely follow up appointment. I just had my filling done yesterday, and it was as good an experience as one can have (while getting a filling). Dr Addy did everything in a matter of a half hour, from the needle to get me numb to the drilling itself, I hardy felt a thing, another great visit. The numbness wore off a few hours later as they described it would. My wife and daughter will become new patience in the near future and I think we will be coming by here for a long time. I would like to express how thankful I am for Dr. Addy for taking care of my crown that was poorly done by my last dentist! It caused me so much pain from day one, I had to bear through for a whole year with the painful crown!!! I normally dont like going to the dentist. However, upon arriving, the staff made me feel comfortable..and that really matters to me.After being called to the back and meeting Dr Addy and speaking with him, I felt confident I would like it here. Dr.Addy and his staff were honest, profand very welcoming and accommodating to a working parent. He’s exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough with identifying the root of mouth pain. I couldn’t eat anything hard, cold or hot for months after seeing 2 other dentists. I heard about Dr.Addy through a friend and his prognosis worked! I will continue to see him as my regular dentist.

I had my teeth cleaned today an experience I’ve had in the past. This was my first here since becoming a patient. I was seen on time the staff was welcoming and informative. Called in today because my crown came lose. I was referred to Dr Abby by a friend. I Was stoked that they were able to fit me in there schedule the same day! Got and examine and X-rays. Dr Abby went over all the findings and explained everything in detail with me. So happy that he didn’t rush and was open to as many questions as I had! He then went over a treatment plan that suited my situation. After the examine I sat down with an Admin that went over a treatment plan/ scheduling and cost. Great office and staff if you are looking for a Dental office this is your spot!! Thanks again Dr Abby!

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Addy and his amazing team! The entire team is extremely caring, compassionate and you can feel it as soon as you walk in their doors. Before I became a patient of CBD I left a voicemail on a Friday afternoon in excruciating pain. Dr. Addy called me back within minutes to let me know he was already calling around to get me in with a surgeon to remove a wisdom tooth. Dr. Addy is the best, most well trained dentist I have ever had. He is a USC Dental School graduate and did additional training for two years with UCLA. As he practices, he is continuing training to give him unique skills that most dentists do not have. He cares about his patients and his relaxed easy going manner makes me feel at ease knowing Im in excellent hands. He is also the most gentle dentist I have ever had. My 7 year old broke her new front tooth this weekend. I was able to get in to see Dr Addy on Monday afternoon. It was a quick fix. He explained the whole process and made my daughter feel very comfortable. Her new tooth looks great! It matches her other tooth perfectly with mammelons (bumps at the bottom) and everything! We dont have dental insurance, so we were a bit concerned about the cost, but it was very affordable. Extremely happy with the outcome & the service from the whole staff at Carlsbad Beach Dental!

This Dental office represents refinement of technique that is uncommon and noteworthy. In addition to the loving care you will receive I can attest to the perfection of build. In the beginning, Dr. Addy X-rayed then removed my ailing upper molar, he then was intuitive to add bone missing in my sinus cavity due to the length of my root. After proper healing time he referred me to Dr. Cho. Dr. Cho CT-scanned and installed an implant in the bone planted by Dr. addy. These two Doctors are in harmony, Dr Cho, a Periodontist planted the implant precisely at the correct location and angle of orientation. Dr. Cho offiice and staff are stellar. Several months later, after the healing process, Dr. Addy then delivered the crown to my other eagerly waiting teeth. The install was proceeded with a load testing device in which you bite down and it serves a visual computer aided feedback profile. The bite adjustment was flawless. I am grateful. The total cost was slightly under the competition. I and my family will continue teeth cleaning and future dentistry with Dr. Addy.
