This review is based off of a drive thru order. Carl’s has been a favorite fast food spot of mine and this restaurant is a great example.I just ordered their “California Classic” on a lettuce wrap, chicken nugget stars and chicken strips along with fries. The burger was delicious and has that In-N-Out taste and the fries were descent. The chicken nugget stars were underwhelming but the chicken strips were excellent. Overall it was a good lunch.I’d definitely come back to this spot again in the future.

Got the bacon Swiss, it was super soggy there was watery mayo (at least it looked like mayo) on both buns, and chicken was burnt. Fries were not crispy. Picture was after I wiped sauce off with a napkin. Kinda difficult to enjoy

My wife and I went to get some Lunch and had coupons to use. My wife had some miscommunication with the staff regarding an overcharge for some items and confusión with the use of the coupons. One female employee who is short, bad truth, and a very, very, very bad atitude had the balls and nerve to tell my wife she and the restaraunt would refuse to provide my wife service on any future visits especially if she had any coupons. I contacted corporate by website in the hopes of speaking to someone regarding this worker and restaraunt. I have also contacted the BBB and will seek a refund and will definitely seek some legal advice of any actions we can take. I forgot to mention were both disabled and this constitutes discrimination. I hope justice can and will be served for my wife and any future disabled patrons who might experience the same treatment. This person needs to be fired. By the way to the manager, name tags, name tagswould be very useful. But I guess by not wearing one, it gives some employees the idea to get away with insulting customers and get away with it. Oh before I end this review, be careful if you do visit this location. They let patrons with crackpipes in backpacks sit in their restaraunt. Thank God Monterey Park P.D. showed up to deal with the situation.

Usually I come here and i have good service but tonight was just not as expected. Maybe it was busy or maybe Im wrong. Let me know if im wrong. But i go into the drive thru because i wanted a grilled cheese. Its 10pm, and the women on the mic tells me we dont serve breakfast at this time like what???? Since when is grilled cheese just a breakfast thing, and whats so hard about slapping two peaces of cheese on bread???? I ended up just going home and making my own even though i been busy working and going to school 14 hours before :(. But seriously i even asked can you just sell me a sourdough bread and cheese? And she was like what? Like trying to make it seem dumb or something. Sorry for the bad review because usually the service I receive is ok just this was not it. Im stuck in drive thru as I write this. Weve been here for about 20 minutes and only had 3 cars ahead of us. Unbelievably slow service.Edit: I got my order without a straw or ketchup and my fry pod was half empty. I ordered my drink without ice and of course, it was packed with ice almost to the top. Their screen is broken and they dont repeat your order here so you cant even tell if they got your order correctly. This has to be the worst Carls Jr. Ive been to.

Ive been coming here every once in a while for years and have almost always had problems with the card reader, on several different cards. Its very annoying to have to get to the point that they have to take my card back to run it on the drive through reader. Im very uncomfortable with that, actually. Had one of the workers just try telling me that nobody else has problems, but I find it very hard to believe that Im the only one when I follow the directions every time.I dont have a tap card, either.

My experience at this Carls Jr. Was like no other experience Ive ever experienced before. Ive been to a few other Carls Jrs in my life. But this particular Carls Jr really left me feeling like a brand new person. I left wanting to pay it forward even though i had nothing to give. I just felt the need. No. The URGE to be a better version of myself than i was before i stepped in to this particular Carls Jr. If someday i should ever find someone to marry me, i want to have the after party at this location. The Chicken Club was delicious however I paid 30 cents more to add onion. Thats highway robbery. The friend with me didnt want onion on her burger but they didnt deduct 30 cents from the price of her order did they. NO!! If I had known theyd charge that MUCH to add a slice (and not a whole slice, mind you) I wouldnt have added it. If the amount showed on the screen when I ordered I couldnt see it because of the glare. OH and this place needs to hire more help. That poor cashier was doing 3 jobs at once, taking orders, filling orders and handing out orders all while were sitting in the car waiting. I was at the drive through today for lunch and ordered a Superstar combo with a coke and 2 orders of their 2 for 6.99 Famous stars. The drive through present gave me my order and gave me the okay that everything was there. When I got home to eat my lunch with my family. I was missing my Superstar Hamburger. I was very upset and called immediately to let them know that I was missing a hamburger. I called the restaurant but no one answered. So I kept calling until someone at the restaurant answered. I dont remember who I spoke to. but she did talk to her service manger to have for me drive down to pick up a new burger. I was really upset to see the manger wasnt there to meet me and apologize for the drive through presenter and runner mix-up. When front counter person gave me my hamburger, it was placed in a brown carls paper bag sitting on a heating area where most of the food is kept warm. I was shocked ever further when they didnt even offer me a fresh made hamburger. Instead I got a cold hamburger and it was still the wrong hamburger. I got a Famous Star again, so what happen to my Superstar!! I was shocked again when I got home wondering why the owner operator would have so many untrained employees working there who dont even know the product. I had to still buy new fries because the ones I got earlier were cold and dry. My drink was water down, and I was surprised with the manger their who didnt even replace my fries for hot fries and my flat drink. I would like for corporation area supervisor to shop this carls Jr. in Monterey Park soon for the bad service I got there. It is really sad to know that this franchise is hurting the carls Jr. name. I did read recent reviews on bad service at this store after I left and wasnt surprised. A zero for Accuracy and efficiency in my book. Wont go there again. Service is horrible !! I had extra time on my hands yesterday and I decided to visit Carl’s with my girlfriend for a quick snack. The manager I believe he was the manager was extremely kind. He made sure we were attended correctly, and I liked how he walked around the tables asking if everything was okay with peoples visits and dining experience like it was a great resteraunt . It also made me happy that he was not one of those mean managers . Several kids came in from a long day of playing skate or sports and he gave them all water cups no questions asked. Keep up the great work.

I went to this carl with some vegan friends of mine who ordered the beyond burger, but they gave us a regular burger with real meat. This isnt the first time this location has gotten my order wrong and not even the first time they gave us real meat when we asked for beyond meat. Carls Jr. in Monterey Park, next door to East LA college, is a busy fast food hamburger joint. Its Famous Star burger is reasonably priced and still better than the Big Mac. Carls introduced me to the lettuce wrap hamburger ( without buns). I find its hamburgers tastier without the bread than with it. They also have great desserts: from cheesecake to thick and creamy milkshakes. Their prices are higher than similar fastfood restaurants like McDonalds and BK. Also, prepare for long lines at breakfast and lunchtime. The place is clean and the workers do their best with or without the long lines. Be patient and enjoy the food.

How does this current manager at Carls Jr know that the EBT card was stolen ? There is no way of knowing . I work for LA county for years Moving along since early 2020. This particular Carls Jr is required to ask for ID over certain amount of purchase and the four digit pin is required It is the responsibility of Carls Jr to keep up accuracy with the clientele to avoid another audit regardless of the situation Carls Jr is responsible, there should not have been any receipt given weather if was paid with EBT or credit card that is the customers confidentiality This current manager is known for allowing EBT customers to use the EBT card without identification She must be manually keying in the EBT information. Urgent request get a new manager.
