I want to express my gratitude for the Career Launch Method. The experience has been very beneficial in building my professional network. One of the people I connected with was my hometowns City Manager. Since our initial Zoom conversation, Im pleased to say that our relationship has expanded into a full blown mentorship. Weve met in person a few times and Ive been able to hear more about his career path and advice for graduate school. Through him, I was connected with someone enrolled in the Urban Planning Masters Program at UCLA. Considering this is one of my top schools, this connection is an invaluable resource for me as I apply to the program.I have to admit that I was skeptical at first, but the Career Launch Method has led to incredible gains in my network that will further advance my academic and professional career. Thank you for ensuring that, despite the pandemic-related challenges, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone.

I came to college from out of state. I did not know anyone or have any connections to leverage. Seans emphasis on building communication skills and thinking strategically was exciting and drove results for me. I remember one day when Sean asked me to start to build relationships with business professionals from scratch. At first I was dubious… who would want to speak to a college student? Well, as it turns out, applying Seans methods landed me a meeting with the CMO at Khan Academy and then an interview with the Director of Digital Marketing at Apple, and eventually an internship at a hot startup after my freshman year of college.If you are passionate about landing a high-quality internship or job upon graduation, I believe Sean can help you. As I ended my Freshman year of college, I knew I needed to prioritize gaining real world experience with a meaningful and relevant internship after my sophomore year, which is not easy because employers prefer students in between their junior and senior year. Being a college student who wants a rewarding career but not knowing where to start can being extremely daunting. Launch Your Career not only helped me start the process, but also provided insights that helped me all along the way to landing a Software Engineering Internship at Nordstrom and Salesforce the following Summer.Seans program and guidance helped me build my communication and interpersonal skills. I gained the confidence I needed to contact business professionals at the companies I was interested in working for. With his teaching I have established ongoing relationships with employees at companies like AirBnB, Microsoft, Adobe, Nordstrom, Amazon, Lockheed Martin, and Salesforce. The program also helped me start and manage my internship at Nordstrom in a much more effective manner than I would have done on my own. Not a week goes by where I dont utilize one of the skills Launch Your Career taught me.

Career Launch helped me elevate my professional skills in the business world. Being a first generation college student, I had to build my network from scratch and Sean helped me do just that. With the skills taught from Career Launch I was able to connect with amazing people from different companies such as Allbirds, Google, PwC, and many more. As a college student, I spent hours reaching out to countless alumni on LinkedIn who had cool jobs. But 99% of the time, I never got a response. My expectations of getting anything out of networking crumbled.The simple and effective Career Launch Method changed my mindset completely. Using the CLM, I landed face-to-face conversations with professionals at my dream companies (IDEO, Pinterest, Etsy, etc) and learned how to cultivate my network from scratch. I am very grateful for Career Launch and highly recommend it.

The Career Launch method was incredibly impactful in my own job search process. In this day and age, old methods need to go out the window—they just don’t work. The Career Launch method is the best way to build the job and career you want. LYCs networking methods and techniques have helped so much. To be honest, I didn’t go in thinking much of it because the principals seemed geared towards a corporate environment and I want to go into film. What I found is that the program works for students from all programs of study and students from 2-year and 4-year schools. I followed the instructions and reached out to people who I thought were doing cool things. To my surprise, several replied and agreed to meet with me. I learned a lot from the meetings and Ive built a network from scratch in the film industry.

From this program, I learned how to connect with group managers who do the direct hiring, conduct informational interviews, and allow me to truly express my interest to executives in my prospective career field. Programs like this are critical for building up the confidence of students who come from humble beginnings. I can proudly say I am equipped with the tools necessary to compete and succeed professionally.

Not only was I able to use the techniques l I learned at CLA to land a position as a research assistant, but I was also offered the opportunity to apply for a fellowship on campus. I was guaranteed 2 years of funding for my position. This program has taught me so much and I am very grateful for it. I highly recommend taking this program to pursue your career and what you want to do in the future.
