This course not only achieved remarkable success but also set a new standard for career development education. Sallys innovative approach to the course content, coupled with her dynamic teaching style, captivated students and instilled in them a profound sense of purpose and direction. Due to the success of the course, Sally was invited to train me to teach a similar one in a sister program. Sally is a generous leader and a collaborator to her core. Sally knows that one size doesn’t fit all and truly focuses on understanding you in order to get you to where you want to be. Sally took the time to meet me, to understand my background and my capabilities in order to guide me better. From the first meeting with her not only did I feel like my path was more clear but I also felt more confident about having something to offer. Throughout the entire process Sally became more than a guide, she was an ally and made me feel that I wasn’t alone on the difficult journey that job searching can be. With her help, I was able to land a position doing exactly the kind of work I wanted with a great company.

After graduating from San Diego State I thought I would be able to find a job very quickly. Turns out, job search is a lot more extensive than I thought. Luckily, I had Sally to guide me every step along the way. She demonstrated the importance of making connections, and learning from others within my industry. Not only did she give me practical advice, but she also kept me motivated and organized which made the process much easier. Happy to say I landed a dream role aligned with my major and am now working with a wonderful team of event specialists for Maritz Global Events putting on all of Google’s San Francisco campus events.

I worked with Sally in an effort to “rebrand” myself. As we grow so does our need to move where the currents of our personal and professional life take us. I cannot thank Sally enough for helping me land the job of my dream. Before connecting with her, I was getting interviews for jobs, but after the initial interview I was always ghosted and never made any real progress in my job search.Sally answered all of the questions no matter how big or small they were and was a great support during the stressful time of job searching.
