They have a small waiting room, which can make waiting more difficult, but this team obviously cares about people and making the process as smooth as it can be. The carbon health app is great. My experience at this urgent care was so positive, I am hoping that carbon health will start providing primary care doctors in Long Beach.I came in for strep throat, was seen quickly, and they automatically scheduled a follow up a week later, which I loved since I like to feel safe that a doctor has determined for sure that I am no longer contagious. I probably could have cancelled the appointment if I minded waiting, but I didn’t mind.

Wow what an amazing Urgent Care. I have come to Carbon Health 3 times in the past and their standard of care has been equally amazing for every visit. They’re easy to make appointments ahead of time with, have always been prompt, on time, and professional. The staff here is extremely helpful. Specifically, Dr. Karen has seen me the past 2 visits and is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. This is the only Urgent Care I will go to from now on.

I had to take my daughter in today, she is only 1 so you know how that can go lol. I wasn’t able to catch the name of the nurse and the dr, but they were both so good with her, so good that she didn’t even cry at all! Very nice! I was so nervous and felt so better at the end! I made an appt. Check in was so fast and easy and she was called back right away! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back when we need to!

This is the best urgent care I have ever had to visit. Every person you speak to from start to finish are all so kind and just have great energy. I didn’t feel rushed like at other urgent cares. I didn’t feel like another case of easy money like at other places where they get you in and out as fast as possible because more bodies equals more money. They took their time in seeing me, asking me questions, answering my questions and explaining to me what was going on with my health. I wish this was my actual primary care provider.

I got a dog bite on Saturday and by Sunday it was obviously infected. Was able to make an appointment 15 min in advance and was in and out in 15 min. Easy to park. Great caring staff. This will always be my go to for future Urgent care visits!!! Highly recommended.

I went for a women’s health checkup and the NP along with the medical assistant were both extremely kind & compassionate.However, when it was time to have my lab results read, no one ever called. I waited an entire week. I called to check on result status and to question why no information from the original visit was ever uploaded onto the app. The only information that was present was previous results from a totally different location. It seemed kinda lazy and careless on whomever’s responsibility it was to upload documents, information, etc. When I called the receptionist seemed as if she had no idea what I was talking about. She finally stated she or someone would call back by the end of business day in regards to result, but to no avail.Finally, after a week of no communication, I physically revisited the clinic to obtain my results. The doctor who read them seemed extremely nonchalant and looked at me as if I was crazy when I was praising God for all negative results. Note: the NP did the testing and was very caring, thorough, explained everything to me and was reassuring. I feel as if I was just thrown to the side by the doctor and completely rushed. There was no compassion whatsoever. Almost seemed as if I was a bother.I’m not sure I will return, especially with the lack of communication and laziness of not only failing to reach out to give results(after the documentation stated they had been read DAYS prior) but that of not uploading important information from the original visit. If you don’t want to do your job, you should choose something that’s more of your liking and not just accommodating to your paycheck.Healthcare shouldn’t be about the pay it should be about bettering the lives you encounter daily.

This is an excellent urgent care. It’s super clean and professional, it’s easy to make an appointment (though there seems to never be a line anyway) and the staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My mom, myself, and my baby have all been there, can’t recommend it highly enough.

Went to this facility 8 months ago due to back injury. They charged me $50 for my co-pay and made a claim against my insurance. I was then informed that due to the injury taking place at work, they cannot see me (I wasnt aware some places deny seeing work-related injuries and I wasnt informed before being charged). They then refunded me and ensured me there would be no claim. A few months later, I get a call from their billing saying I owe $50. I informed them of the refund, which they have on record, and was told it would be corrected. This week, I get another call saying Ive been charged $50. Turns out the claim still exists on my insurance. Their billing department doesnt help and says its MY insurance thats FORCING them to charge me my co-pay. Completely unhelpful and unprofessional.

I had not been feeling well the last couple of days so made an appointment this morning. The wait time to see a nurse was barely 5 minutes. The nurse and PA couldnt have been nicer. They were both very thorough and professional. Had some tests done and was prescribed meds for the issue. The PA....Jessica explained in detail about the meds and diagnosis. Luckily I live closeby. When I find myself under the weather again I know where to go.

This place is a joke..once they found out i didnt have a credit card or debit card they asked for to keep on file, they were sending me on my way,since it was almost closing time, i had to stand out in the cold waiting on my ride..i wont go here again,this was my first urgent care experience

Do yourself a favor and get a PCP appointment for any test orders or go to any other Urgent Care instead of this one. They’re disorganized, the wait is long, and the co pay is high for the low quality of care you receive. The person taking my blood pressure didn’t know what “GI” stands for. Not convinced anyone in this facility is properly credentialed.

I’ve been here several times in the past but this past time unfortunately wasn’t the best. The Np Karen Davis was very vague and not very friendly. I’ve been there several times before and the Nurse Practitioners are always communicative and kind. This particular Np was cold and not clear. She said everything looked fine and to continue taking over the counter meds. I just felt like I wasted my time. I explained to her that I was a conductor and I couldn’t go to work dizzy and she basically said that I could take something over the counter but her attitude made me feel like she was annoyed. I even left the office and came back and asked if she could give antibiotics and she said no it’s viral. The office was empty so it wasn’t like she was busy. It just felt like she was annoyed or bored. It’s confusing why people with this type of demeanor go into health care. It’s also unfortunate because the last time I went to this office the Np was very nice and informative. Maybe Np Karen is having a bad day or tired of people coming in with colds but either way I left feeling unseen and heard. I’ve been sick for over a month and it’s frustrating not getting better but even worst to have a health care provider who seems to care less. I just wish the Np was clearer about treatment or even a follow up. She said there’s nothing she can do. Continue taking over the counter meds. Didn’t explain why, what I possibly had or could have. What could help and what to do if my symptoms continue. A very different experience from the last time I was here. The last Np Felicia Turner was the sweetest woman and treated me with such care and compassion. I have no idea what I have because the Np never explained anything to me. I guess I’ll stick to Web Md unless the other Np is there. That’s much more informative. Smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ This woman. Not so much.

My first time at Carbon Health and wow what a pleasant experience. Other major urgent care centers in the area were upwards of 3 hours wait but at Carbon I waited 30 minutes until I was seen. It’s a clean and modern facility with staff that are professional and friendly.

I was in cali. for the weekend with my family.. friday, we go to the beach (long beach) about 3 min from carbon health urgent care.. my son gets out the water in the worst pain.. i immediately start calling urgent cares nearby thinking maybe he just needs a tetanus shot because i was thinking maybe he stepped on glass or something.. so i get ahold of carbon health urgent care and the receptionist (i don’t remember his name and i truly apologize) assisted me with scheduling the appointment and i swear he was the most help within the 5 min or so on the phone keeping me calm because i had my son basically screaming for help next to me. he did mention it may be a stingray bite and i’m just shook because that’s the last thing i could’ve thought……… so i get there and JESSICA immediately gets a heating pad and confirmed it was a stingray bite and the heat will help him. sure did. my poor baby was relieved. they get him back and start care on him right away and talking me through the process. shout out MAY for also keeping us calm throughout the process. after being there about an hour and a half my son was still hurting a tad bit but it was manageable. i’m very appreciative of the crew there. definitely 1000/10. thank you so much!!!!!

10/10 would recommend this office. Very fair and transparent pricing for out of pocket and works with many insurances. Clean and comfortable office and rooms, absolutely STELLAR service. All staff & doctors were so nice and professional. Great bed side manner. Easy check in check out. Minimal wait time, go here instead of waiting all day in the ER and get on with your life.

Haven’t even seen someone yet but this place is already getting a terrible review. I arrived 15 minutes for my appointment at 2pm. It’s now 2:41 pm. No warning from the receptionist was given that they were running behind schedule and I’ve seen multiple people who were behind me go in front of me. It’s cost $200 to be here not including any medication they might prescribe. If I could give 0 stars I would. Multiple people have had to repark their cars because of how long this is taking. Terrible service, ridiculous prices. Won’t be coming back. How is this even possible when I did the paperwork and pre check in yesterday?

Everyone at the facility was excellent. Helpful and knew their jobs. Process was easy. The problems were the lab did not process the samples so I had to go back. Also the blood results did not post to my account. Only the urine. They had to print me a copy.

I want to start by saying that everyone here was very friendly and the waiting time both to get an appointment and to be seen once I arrived was very short. This place just could not accommodate my needs at the time and I would have liked that better communicated to me.I went in with a suspected broken ankle and put that on the form when I made the appointment online. What no one told me was that there is no X-ray machine here nor do they give out any kind of pain medicine. I asked what to do about the pain and said that I was already taking ibuprofen and Tylenol and they weren’t helping much. The doctor told me to stop the Tylenol altogether and cut out a quarter of the ibuprofen dose. Thanks for helping my liver and kidneys I guess but that’s not really solving a problem for me.They sent me to a different urgent care across town that took me 30 minutes to get to. I had to take an uber to get there because it’s my right ankle so I can’t drive and my partner had gone shopping and hadn’t expected me to need a lift to a different urgent care after they had already seen and charged me. I got my X-rays at the other place, again short wait and everyone was very friendly.That night I went home and experienced some of the worst pain in my entire life from the swelling pressing on my nerves. It felt like my entire foot was burning and I had just looked up “emergency rooms near me” and woke up my partner when the pain subsided enough for me to sleep. I got a call about my X-ray in the morning and told them about the pain only THEN was I told that this urgent care branch does not prescribe pain killers!!So glad I switched to orthopedic surgeon Dr Lee at Memorial. He gave me the pain killers I needed and a proper split. Which was good because after a couple hours of sitting from being driven and waiting at the doctors office, my foot swelled up so bad that the nerve pain was even worse and I spent the evening sobbing into my partners arms begging for the pain to stop even WITH the pain killers. My ankle is purple and the size of a baseball, I’m clearly not faking anything to get a prescription.I may return in the future for something that is not an injury but never again for anything that would ever require pain meds or an X-ray. I wasted my time and money.

This is my third experience with Carbon Health Urgent Care. Each time has been met with professionalism from the staff.I needed to see a doctor for chest congestion during the Christmas holidays, my doctor is unavailable. Carbon originally diagnosed me with pneumonia and treated my symptoms back in October 2023. An X-ray has been ordered the following day at a different location. My go to urgent care. My primary care doctor is rarely available so whenever I feel sick I come to this urgent care. Every time I come here Felicia-Turner Muhammad is always the PA to assist me. She is AMAZING! She’s not only very welcoming but she also puts me at ease. I love how she keeps it real too and she’s very very caring. The staff at this location is a 10/10. From making the appointment, to checking in and out, the process was easy and smooth. The facility was very clean. The staff were friendly, warm and attentive. The nurse and PA who saw me were thorough and took ample time to listen, examine, and explain my diagnosis, treatment plan, and medications to me. I was never left waiting for long periods of time, nor did I feel rushed, which sadly doesn’t happen often. Like many, I don’t like going to the doctor or urgent care, but this was such a pleasant experience, I would gladly go again. I must say that Carbon Health has been my go to place for medical attention since I moved to Long Beach. The staff is always courteous and I see them on a daily basis when I’m not sick and displaying symptoms. Like today I found out that it’s an antigen causing my earaches because of infection. Woooo! I’m so glad I came today. I love Carbon Health, the staff are a wonderful group of human beings. I would name staff names but I’m not. Because they are all excellent people who live by the designed medical code. Solving medical mysteries for there patients like me who didn’t have the slightest idea of what was going on within my body. I’m going to give you 10 stars Carbon Health, 5 stars just ain’t enough

It was so nice to be treated kindly. I was in my GP’s office yesterday. The difference between yesterday and today’s visit showed me I was not wrong in feeling disconnected with my GP’s nurses and office staff. This is by far the easiest and most comfortable urgent care visit I’ve ever had. Alex and Felipe were both so helpful, kind and informative. Don’t come here. Unless you want to be treated unfairly, find another Urgent Care. Jessica the nurse was absolutely rude to my daughter.Went for a follow up as they told us to come back. Felicia is amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and funny. She answered all of my questions, explained everything so well and with so much detail, and she is just a joy to be around. I left feeling confident in the care and advice that I recieved. I paid out of pocket and the were very considerate of that when recommending treatment. I had the best experience ever!! I had a sore throat. I love the fact that I was able to schedule an urgent care appt. I scheduled the appt for Saturday at 9 am. However I overslept due to not feeling so well. I showed up 55 minutes late. Luckily I was able to be seen. The front desk took my info and checked me in. The wait time was less than 5 minutes. Keep in mind this may not always be the case. It was still pretty early in the morning. The medical assistant was very sweet and did a couple of test on me. Shortly after I was able to see the nurse practitioner, Mrs. Turner- Muhammad. She was very kind and funny as well. The test results came back fairly quickly. She informed me of what I had and gave me recommendations of my next steps. All in all the process was quick and efficient. The staff was amazing and kind. I would definitely come again if I need to go to Urgent Care.

Ive unfortunately been here multiple times in the past year, but Ive had a very good experience every time.All the techs, nurses, and NPs or PAs have been great. Theyre kind, thorough, and take their time with you. Everyone actually seems to like their job. :) The facility is very clean and organized.Its nice because even though its an urgent care, youre able to make an appointment. Im usually seen within 10 min of my appointment time unless someone with more urgent health issues comes in.The only downside is street parking only, but I usually park a block or two away and walk. Highly recommend if you live nearby.

I had a great experience today at Carbon Health in Long Beach. Their team was very friendly. In fact, Alex who took all my information in the patient room made me feel so at ease. He was kind and funny and made me feel comfortable when I was having a lot of worry about my medical situation.The doctor that helped me happened to be filling in from Culver City but she was absolutely amazing. This place is amazing!!! I’m not a huge fan of any urgent care. Usually long wait times, rapid in and out care, and disgruntled staff are associated with urgent cares.Not at Carbon! You can make urgent care appointments! I’ve been here 3 times and I’ve never waited more then 5 minutes before going back to see the doc. All of the technicians are helpful, it’s a relaxed environment, and the doctors/nurse practitioners take their time to address all concerns.Lastly, the facility is very very very clean. I am usually a big fan of carbon health, but this is the most abysmal service I have ever received. I showed up a few minutes early and waited over an hour past my appointment time in the waiting room because they didn’t have enough exam rooms. The assistant told me I would be the first to go back when a room opened up because my appointment was next, but this was a lie. I continued to wait while they took someone else back. I spent over an hour in the exam room talking to the doctor and waiting for a breakdown of the costs they wanted to charge me for. While there I was told they could not diagnose me and prescribe a treatment plan without lab tests. I took the lab tests in spite of not wanting to and here I am 48 hours later with no results or treatment plan from the doctor still sick. I have followed up twice and still have not received anything from the nurse. What an incredible waste of time and moneyUpdate: the nurse got back to me and told me my results would take 5-7 business days and recommend I continue doing what I have already been doing which has not been working to lessen my symptoms. Should’ve gone to a real clinic from the start to save my time, money, energy, and sanity.

Super impressed with this Carbon Health location. Visited a few times in the past, mostly for covid testing. Visited most recently to get looked at after a bike crash. Other urgent cares in Long Beach had - no joke - a 9 1/2 hour wait. Was able to schedule an appointment at carbon for just an hour out, was seen quickly, had x-rays, a splint and a sling for my broken wrist all in under an hour from the start of my appointment. The whole staff was friendly and helpful but the PA I saw, Felicia, was a stand out for her great bedside manner. Dig the app, and also appreciate that they have cash prices listed for everything in case insurance doesn’t cover. Why can’t all healthcare be this easy?

I have been dealing with a lot of health issues as of recently, meaning I’ve been going to a lot of medical offices where the staff aren’t always so kind. I’ve had an awful sore throat and when I told the technician, he helped get me my strept test and ever GAVE me a tea bag of his favorite tea to help with the symptoms. When the nurse practitioner came we found out it was negative, but she continued to give me other options for tests and prescriptions to help in the mean time. The website was awesome, super easy to make. A WALK IN appointment just an hour before you wanna go in, which is nice because you never know when you could be unwell! They also have an app which is cool because you can see your results right as their ready and the nurse practitioner even added some follow up care for my sore throat. All in all a hassle free experience. I haven’t left a doctors office/urgent care in a good mood in a long time.

On Saturday June, 4th I was surfing in Huntington Beach and got stung by a stingray pretty badly. With no lifeguards in the area and In a panic, I thought it would be a good idea to go to my primary care doctor which was in Long Beach however, my primary care doctor’s office was packed full of patients because it was a first come first serve waiting list they had to be seen before me. My primary care doctors office said that in order to get immediate attention, I needed an urgent care or a hospital. My current primary care doctors office referred me too go to “Carbon Health” for immediate attention as I was bleeding from my foot in their office and in Extreme pain. I drove an extra 4 miles north to Carbon Health’s Office at 555 Ocean Blvd. LB. When I got to Carbon Health they treated me immediately and expedited the filling out of papers as I was sitting there in extreme pain and needed immediate attention. The friendliness of the Carbon Health staff and the absolute care and attention was awesome! The facility was top-notch and extremely clean. I went to this urgent care because I thought I had some type of debris in my eye. I could not open with clear eye felt scratchy a little itchy but could not seem to get it out. So Jen there put a solution and numb my eye and it started getting better. She did not find anything in my eye, what a relief! I Love Carbon Health Urgent Care. The staff are very attentive to your medical status. The nurse monitored my Respiration and oxygen levels for atlesst 15mins ×3 readings to make sure I was in safe range and they really eased my anxiety and fears. The staff is nice however it is clear they are untrained in the new carbon health systems, and all seem so be a bit confused with what they’re supposed to be doing. I was required to make an appointment and did so. The appointment was at 10:20 and I was not seen by a physician until 11:40 There is no reason to have a patient wait over an hour past their scheduled time. I was told I would get some blood work done and sent to the reception to receive paper work. She did not have paper work and asked me to sit back down to wait for that. Once she called me back up there was no paper work but instead they wanted me to wait to get seen again to get the blood work done there. It wasn’t a terrible experience but I would not come back seeing as it is clear there is a huge lack of communication within the staff and an issue with time management. Overall I spent about 2 and a half hours and 2 hours were spent just waiting around in reception.

If 0 stars existed I would give 0 stars. I went in today for an emergency. My husband was feeling intense chest pain and dry mouth. I asked if my husband can get checked. Instead, Alyssa (the medical assistant) rolled her eyes in front of us.She arrogantly asked “Does he have medi-cal?” because “we don’t take Medical”. My husband and I were planning to pay out of pocket. Instead of assuming, she should have provided us with information on what health insurances they take.Alyssa was very unfriendly and rude in an emergency situation. She did not listen to what my husbands concerns. She was very unprofessional and uncaring. Her tone of voice was degrading. I can not believe people like her become medical professionals. She gave us rude looks the entire time.My husband was dizzy and she asked him to stand up. What kind of person asks a person who is feeling dizzy to stand up????????We were turned away because he did not have an ID. I wasted my time coming to this urgent care. I would never in my life step foot in here again.The way we were treated by Alyssa was very unethical and unacceptable. She took everything we said to her as a joke. She should not be working as a medical professional. We did not deserve her cruelty. She needs training.That is not how clients should be treated. We are very unhappy and disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you HAVE to go to the URGENT care go here. I have been twice and both times I have been seen by Christina Nguyen. I really feel she cares. She really takes the time and brings up really smart points. On top of that I didnt receive my covid test results back so I called the URGENT Care and I was put on hold. I had to jump off the call and when I was done completing my errand I had a message on my phone from Carbon letting me know everything was in order... The guy called me back and left a message... :)

We were visiting from out of state and I rolled my ankle on the very last day of our vacation. We drove to this facility and they took all of my information and tried to run my insurance. Since it was two time zones away, my insurance could not be reached. I paid full price ($125 for consultation and $80 for X-ray), but they said they would call my insurance the following morning to see if they would cover.The X-ray came back with no fractures and everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly. The next morning, I received a phone call stating that they had reached my insurance provider and we’re going to refund me everything I paid except for my insurance copay. I then received an emailed receipt and all of the notes and reports from my visit with well wishes for our upcoming flight.A seriously great experience!

Made online appointment for a specific time precisely as per their website and automated phone message advice. I showed up 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment just to find out ‘they are running late: minimum of 45 minutes’ as walk ins take priority and there were at least 3 people ahead of me. Simple fix: don’t accept online / phone appointments so people don’t get frustrated; it’s ok to be a walk in clinic only. Not honoring scheduled appointments and wasting patients time is hurting your ratings.

I came in for blood work by the world renowned Plebotomist James! The front desk greeted me politely and James had me back for my visit shortly after. He did an outstanding job with drawing blood as I have very deep veins that like to roll. He got it done in one poke and I barely felt anything. His reputation as the best in Phlobotamy is accurate. This place is sketchy. The staff seems constantly annoyed just from you being there. My nurse would just walk into the room without even knocking on the door. Ask me a question in broken English and then slam the door closed not to be seen or heard from again for 20 min. At one point the male nurse asked me a question and I said I do not understand what he asked me. So he ignored me and continued on with his work.It is poorly lit and the lobby looks as if it gets cleaned once a monthIf you have any other option for urgent care take it. I’m absolutely pleased with the services that these amazing, friendly, attentive and truly CARING doctors and nurses provide here. 10 out of 5 stars!I’ve been in pain for months before ending up in their office and I did see 2 different expensive “specialists” prior - who were unable to properly diagnose what my actual issue is. I ended up having so much pain that I couldn’t take it anymore, so I went to see if they could help in any way. The doctor was able to diagnose me right away and treat me right there and then. Spent 1 hour total in the office, the problem is now solved and I can say with confidence that this was one of my best experiences in healthcare so far.

This place really helped me. I got COVID test twice at here and staffs were helpful everytime I visit. They gave me free test when I was in trouble after contacting COVID on Decemeber 26th. Also when I needed test result for travel clearance, some staffs double checked test-style and guidelines which are different for each country. I have chronic allergies/sinusitis.I came in to see PA Felicia Turner through urgent care because I couldn’t get in to my primary care doctor and was out of town (I live an hour away but was visiting family). I had a 100 degree fever, chills, terrible sinus infection symptoms that had lasted 2+ weeks, and was told to take Claritin……… I have been seeing an allergist for 20+ years, so that was insulting. Regardless, I took her advice and continued to self-care & try Claritin (why not?). Two days later, I’m rushed to the ER for a severe case of pneumonia that came from a long untreated bacterial sinus infection and a build up of mucus in my lungs. Definitely never going back. I’m out $1,000s now from negligent care / misdiagnosis.

The people here didn’t give me the address of the other Long Beach location, didn’t help me re-schedule my appointment, and also didn’t answer my questions about required documents. Ive used this UC whenever I need treatment instead of going to the ER. Its easy to be seen quickly vs getting an appointment with my primary and WAY less expensive than going to the ER (and youre not sitting there for hours). The staff and physician are very personable and the cost is reasonable, even without insurance because its all inclusive. Its clean and parking isnt bad even though its street parking.

PPO insurance has been a headache for me, but Carbon Health has been so easy! I went to the Ocean Blvd location in Long Beach and everyone there is so kind.
