Very clean comfortable office. They were quick and efficient. I was in and out within 30 minutes and everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful. I also felt very heard by the doctor and she took the time to answer all my questions. Would definitely return in the future if needed.

This place was wonderful. I had seen my primary physician on Friday and he neglected to note or write a prescription for my ear infection and he left on vacation.Now its Monday, Im still in pain! I googled and made a same day appointment with Carbon Health urgent care. Very clean and a comfortable waiting room(Hardly waited at all) I was seen very quickly. Got a script for my ear.Now, all is right with the world.Thank you, Carbon Urgent Care.

Great establishment, fast and clean. But unfortunately they didnt take my insurance so I had to pay cash and that is my one gripe. They required payment immediately before I could seen. So other than that, it was great.

My experience with Carbon Health Urgent Care was great the Medical assistant was very nice and the doctor Denise was great when being seen Here on the 23rd, Saturday. The only reason I didnt give a 5 star is the Hispanic lady in the front checking people in wasnt very nice,super short when talking to me and your front people are what you see first so treat your patients as you want to be treated. Overall was a good experience.

Went to Carbon Health on 1st Street in Paso Robles because I woke up with a giant sty in my eye that hurt something fierce.They couldn’t fit me in but they got me a 9:30am appt. At Carbon Health in Atascadero. I’ve been to both Atascadero and Paso, they are amazing. Efficient, knowledgeable, thorough and explained everything. I went there because my primary doctor doesn’t have time. Grateful that we have Carbon Health as alternative. Denise is the best! I felt lucky that I got to see her at both offices. She even called with follow up information.Highly recommend!

Efficient check-in experience. Clean facility and friendly people. The Physicians Assistant (R. Simons) was thorough and kind. Went home with prescriptions called into our local pharmacy and good advice. Will definitely return again if needed. Our family doctor could not fit us in his schedule so this facility was our next choice, probably could be a first choice in the future as the out of pocket cost is the same and services provided were comparable and quicker. The most incompetent care or lack of, you will ever find. From the unfriendly receptionist, to the incompetent team that will misdiagnosis you ( told me I had a sprain when it was a hairline fracture. They tell you they will have a radiologist review your records, and call you with the results. They dont. I called several times for results. No call back. They dont offer crutches or any brace, boot, etc. You have to beg for crutches. And they treat you poorly, no matter your insurance. Even though you have very good double insurance that will cover it . Negligent at best, if you value your health, do not go here.

This was my second or 3rd time inCarbon health Atascadero. The first 2 were for my son and this was the first for me. Each time we were checked in promptly and professionally. Each time the wait for the PA was very short and the diagnosis was fast and efficient. Even the app and prescription process was efficient. First of all DO NOT GO HERE WITH ANTHEM BLUE CROSS. When you arrive theyll say they do accept Anthem Blue Cross and that 99% of patients have their bills covered no problem. I found this jarring because no other establishment has ever said such a disclaimer. They either take your insurance or they dont. I was hesitant but went for it anyways because of the reassurance from the 99% figure they gave me. Boy was I wrong. All I did was simply get checked to see if I had any sickness to be concerned about. 40 min of waiting and less than 5 min with the doctor. $40 co-pay, no problem. But.. 4 MONTHS LATER, $320 balance due!! Never again. Stay away from this place.

Sunday morning woke with a painful ear and couldnt hear from it. Made an early appt on line. Arrived early and was taken back for treatment right away. Ended up, I needed both ears flushed and wax removed. All of this happened quickly and efficiently. All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I appreciate greatly this kind of experience when something out of the ordinary happens to my health. I highly recommend this urgent care facility to anyone needing health services.

This is a great facility very clean very knowledgeable practitioners, and staff. I made an appointment they also take Urgent addends and I was seen promptly x-rays done on site and added the carbon health app to my phone so I was able to see my results quickly. I appreciate the care I received, and the PA Simmons was very professional, caring busy and took the time to take care of each and everyone of us.

I went Tuesday, was tested for the flu and told I had bronchitis. I was worse the next day and went in with my boyfriend. He was diagnosed with a sinus infection and given antibiotics. They gave me an inhaler, prednisone and a z pac. Still not tested for Covid. Friday I went to the emergency room and tested positive for Covid (as did my boyfriend). I tested negative the week before my Carbon visit but my symptoms were persistent and worse. I cant believe this was not addressed by your staff. Extremely disappointed. Ill go to the ER from now on.

Were from out of town on vacation and my daughter had an injury on her arm at the playground. I needed to find her an urgent care asap and carbon health was open on a Sunday. TL;DR: Avoid this place at all costs – getting help here is nearly impossible.Im not even sure where to start with this experience. To say that the staff, particularly the Physician Assistant (PA), were unhelpful would be a severe understatement. I feel compelled to share my experience with this review:1. I had pre-booked an appointment hours in advance, but I was left waiting in a room for over 45 minutes past my scheduled time. To be fair, I was informed of the delay 20 minutes after my appointment was due.2. The PA, stormed into the room and, much like a previous encounter I had with him, showed no interest in hearing about my issues. In fact, this time he said, Id love to sit here for an hour and listen to all your problems, but I dont have the time. This condescending attitude and poor bedside manner alone makes me never want to return to this place.3. I was rushed through my appointment, handed a sheet of paper with the names of specialists, and given an order for a scan. The list of specialists contact numbers included several that were no longer in service, and the rest led to the same company.4. I was told I couldnt get my scan until it was preauthorized by my insurance. However, my insurance informed me that the preauthorization had to be requested by the facility issuing the order, and Carbon refused to assist with preauthorization. Therefore, the order was essentially worthless.5. When working with one of my local doctors, we had to physically visit the Carbon office multiple times to get the notes faxed over because they wouldnt answer their phone.In summary, this was a colossal waste of time and money. The only positive aspect was the front desk lady, who was friendly and seemed to genuinely care more than their PA.In summary, this was a colossal waste of time and money. I have been pleasantly surprised at my two 2023 visits to Carbon Health urgent care in Atascadero CA! One visit was by appointment and one was as a walk-in. All the personnel were competent, sympathetic and good listeners. The people at the front desk were kind and made me feel welcome. The facility was spotless and my wait time was less than 10 minutes. The PA-C staff was knowledgeable and great communicators. I downloaded their app and could see within minutes the results of my appointments. They sent diagnostics and treatment notes and a record of prescriptions to my primary dr, at my request. I highly recommend this facility!

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the clinic. Receptionist was kind and professional, I was called in almost immediately. MA was thorough and caring. Matthew Belmont PA-C came in next. I didnt tell him Im an RN. He explained his plan to me without talking down to me. I was impressed that he listened to my chest with his stethoscope at the site where I believed I had a fractured rib. After x-rays he came in and told me that hed consulted with a physician because my case was a bit complex. I left within an hour with prescriptions for 3 meds and instructions for at home care. Im very pleased with the care and the facility. X-ray tech was great. Id go back if I needed care again. Highly recommend.

Med team is great. Reception team, how about some eye contact. Next time I go there and the med-receptionist does not look up as they are processing MY payment or copay, I’m leaving and going somewhere else. If, as an organization, you believe in person-to-person care and a wholistic approach to care and healing, look up once in a while and make sure the patient feels like a person and not just a credit card.

Id give less than one star if possible for this terrible experience. Customer service was absolutely horrible during a scary time when a little compassion would have been as helpful as an actual doctor. Front desk receptionist was more worried about which door we used than actually doing his job. Called in advance to see if circumstance was something they could accommodate, was told to come in, then treated extremely rude from the first interaction. Without seeing him they informed me they cant help. I requested maybe the dr just look to make sure as the ER would likely be a super long wait. Zero concern (even though my sweet ten year old boy was in obvious distress). Attitude the entire time from an incompetent receptionist and equally rude and incompetent medical staff. Terrible terrible experience. Wouldnt recommend this place even as a last resort. Disappointing for our small town.

I needed to be seen very badly and even though they didn’t have any open appointments they went out of their way to let me know when it would be a best time to come by for a walk in and they saw me within 15 minutes when I got there they are very very fast kind efficient and knowledgeable. Be careful on who you see . I have been to this clinic several times and never had a problem with them billing my private insurance, they have different drs there and depending on if the dr is in network with your insurance it will or won’t cover . I learned the hard way and they just took over 200$ from my account . I thought my insurance covered it . But according to my insurance that specific dr isn’t in network .

Carbon is the perfect name because they need to use carbon dating to figure out how long you have been waiting! Also, if you have someone standing and waiting for a significant amount of time, and you’re no longer taking walk ins for the day, let them know so they can go elsewhere, just basic human courtesy. “Urgent Care” operating much more like a concierge service by appointment only. Hard pass.

Made an online appointment the day prior, which helps in getting seen quicker than a walk-in. Filled out paperwork online rather than during check-in. From check-in to seeing the PA took 10-15 mins. The visit was good, but Dont go here unless you know for sure your insurance is accepted, Carbon is using a S CODE OF SORTS TO PROCESS THIER CLAIMS THROUGH ANTHEM INSURANCE. By doing this, they bypass the primary codes they are supposed to submit and it remains in processing until they send an email saying they will charge your card 500 dollarsin 30 days if your insurance does not pay.

They really keen on customer service. We had to wait a bit longer even though we had an appointment, but they offered us waters and kept us updated on status. Once inside with doctors, they, including the staff knew my name and the names of my kids without me telling them who was who. In every front desk, there are always good ones and bad. I had good ones before but not this visit. The front desk can make the visit bad. I came in, took my papers for follow up X-ray, outright I was told they don’t do it there. I need to see their doctor to get an X-ray. Well, as simple as evaluating my paper why I am there is so hard for the guy to do. Five stars for the good staff in this clinic, though.

Dr. Matthew Belmont was absolutely amazing. I needed to be seen for particularly sensitive issue, and was hesitant about seeing a male doctor, but he made me feel at ease. He answered all of my questions without making me feel dumb for asking them, and even encouraged me to ask more. He was very straight forward about what he was doing, how he was doing it, and why. He never made me feel ashamed or embarrassed. The entire front staff and nurses were also absolutely lovely. They checked me in quickly and I was seen within 10 minutes. I honestly wish this was my primary care physician. I live 30+ minutes away, but will be driving here in the future if need be. Overall, very professional. Honestly, thank you so much!

I have nothing but praise for the wonderful folks at Medpost. I was a walk in today with a UTI. I was very stressed because it has been returning frequently and needed professional help. I found the waiting room immaculate. The receptionist made me comfortable and let me know the wait would not be long, they could squeeze me in. They took my culture sample and vitals and were kind and professional. They spent time with me and made me feel like I was important. Which is not how I feel at CHC anytime I go there. It was a fairly quick and efficient appointment.However, I find it disturbing that they could not tell me how much the charges would be, saying that different insurances made agreements for different amounts. That is usually true of reimbursements but not of initial charges them selves.Next, there was a physician charge that they could not tell a charge. They could not specify the level of complexity even though most Covid rapid tests appointments should be pretty routine. Mine was simple. The PA entered, told me my results and I said I expected that because I thought I just had a cold. She said a cold was going around lasting 10 to 14 days and then she left. All of about three minutes.When I got home, I looked at their printed results of my test. I noticed that they stayed the reason for my visit was that I was exposed to Covid. I specifically said I was not exposed and only had a headache, fever, and low back ache. I don’t know why they would falsify information in the record.

My experience was completely frustrating. First when I arrived on time for my appointment I was told to have a seat inside because the system was down. Once it came back up I had to sign in basically verifying the exact same information that I had already provided online via an unintuitive tablet interface that gave me multiple problems. I was then informed that I would need to pay $140 up front to see the doctor even though my urgent care copayment is only $35, which is completely idiotic. I almost walked out then but wanted to get my issue resolved so I played along. I was then told I would need to go outside and wait in my car (why? Ive already been in the lobby for over 20 mins?) to check in over the phone. I went out and as soon as I sat down in my car the phone rang and I was being asked to come inside. I received confirmation that I had an ear infection and was prescribed some drops. I went to the pharmacy later last night to go get them, and I find out that I have been prescribed a medication that is not covered by my insurance and it would cost me several hundred dollars if I wanted to have the prescription filled. I am utterly frustrated and I will not be back to Med Post, or whatever the company that purchased it is called. Its unfortunate, because I do like the actual care provider. Your system is just a small broken part of the overall broken healthcare system.

On their website it tells you if you can’t get a time on the schedule that works for you, to either call or walk-in. That’s a lie. I had staples in my head from 10 days ago and NEEDED to get them out ASAP. So I looked online to schedule an appointment but couldn’t find a time that was soon enough. So I did what their website said and called first. For two days straight from 8am-12pm I called them over and over and nobody ever picked up. I wasn’t too worried,though, since it was said I could do a walk-in. So today (01/05/2022) I went to walk in. I was told that they “don’t do walk-ins” and that the earliest scheduled time they could have me in was on 01/08/2022. I told them that it’s already been 10 days that I’ve had these staples in. They told me that they were busy and these procedures take time. All I’m saying is that there were two people in there. I asked them if it was even safe to keep staples in that long (as this was my first time ever having staples in my head) and they said “we can’t give you any medical advice “. If you guys won’t offer walk-ins don’t say you do. Also, PLEASE pick up your phones!!!!!!! Everything about my experience with MedPost was very professional. I was seen quickly as I was having trouble breathing due to a severe cold. I am so glad I chose MedPost over the ER room at the local hospital where I am sure I would have been made to wait for hours. I was examined and found to have a very blood oxygen level and given a nebulizer treatment and steroid injection which quickly reduced the inflammation in my lungs and was able to begin to breathe more normally after 30 minutes or so . Once my oxygen level was up to a more normal level I was released. All of the staff were professional and courteous. I had to go back for a second visit. First round of drugs made me feel worse, and I was not improving. On my second visit, I was greeted politely and seen promptly. Mind you, she’s a 13 yr old 8th grader during finals week with (as it turns out) a pretty significant concussion. Medpost used the bill code which was overcharged for a visit only for conjunctivitis and I came out with the prescription for an simple infection eye drops. I work for Tenet but service was horrible. I was told it was a 45 minute wait but an hour and 15 minutes later nothing. Never going back! Faster to go to the ER if your doctor cant get you in!

I dont feel I was diagnosed right. The Dr seemed to be lost and did not prescribed the right medication. I ended up in the hospital where I got the proper medication and treatment.

Everyone was so kind and caring. The person I talked to when i called was able to answer all of my questions and made me feel welcome to come in. The hours were convenient for me since they were open untill 8. I was in and out in no time at all.

They do not welcome walk ins. Every time we have gone in they say oh we have an appointment time that’s three hours out. The lobby will be completely empty but yet they have no time for you. Not sure why you welcome walk ins when you clearly do not...
