Kathryn Montaperto from Caputo & Van Der Walde was professional and kind. I was injured in an accident and was nervous about communicating with the insurance companies. Kathryn took my case and handled any interactions with the insurance companies. She is a great communicator and very knowledgeable about law. She went above and beyond to make sure that I understood the time frame and process that we were going through. She is a great listener, honest, and was empathetic about my situation. I loved that she consulted with the whole team at Caputo & Van Der Walde. I am very happy with them and will not hesitate to refer them in the future.

We had the unfortunate need of retaining an injury lawyer for a motor vehicle accident involving my son. The Caputo & Van Der Walde team was stellar. In a time when emotions and worry were high for us, Mr. Caputo was compassionate, extremely knowledgable, friendly, had access to a great forensic team, and made sure we understood the process while making sure all of our needs were managed. Corene was amazing and made sure our paperwork, appointments, and all the tiny details were handled. Very professional group that I highly recommend should you need to retain and injury lawyer.

I was involved in a serious car accident, car was destroyed, I sustained three broken bones in the back... After consulting several injury lawyers I went with Paul Caputo. Best decision I could have made. In Sept 2013 I had a slip & fall in Sunnyvale CA, where I fractured my elbow + other, not as serious, injuries. We contacted Paul Van Walden & he came out to meet us and discuss options. It has turned out to be a long arduous process; with summary motions, an appeal, the pandemic, court postponements, etc and Paul s (& his team) stuck with it & guided us through every step of the way! He was always responsive & honest and clearly knew all the ins & outs of the procedures & the options. It was always easy & reassuring to work with him. I can’t say enough great things about Caputo and Van Der Walde and the support they provided after my car accident.From the very beginning they took a HUGE load off of my plate. All of the paperwork, communication with my insurance company and the other party involved in the accident. This in itself lessened anxiety and gave me more space to focus on my own healing. They even provided a couple of health care professional referrals that were essential to my recovery.Julia was the paralegal who I mostly connected with and she was kind, compassionate and extremely thorough. Her attention to detail and professional knowledge is exceptional while still feeling her warmth and understanding over the phone. One thing that sticks out is that I felt extremely validated every time we spoke :)Unfortunately, the other party involved in my accident did not have insurance, yet Caputo and Van Der Walde team managed to successfully get the maximum amount allotted for me from my own insurance company which exceeded my expectations.I highly recommend the team!

The Law Offices of Van Der Walde & Caputo really did an excellent job for me. They fought hard and got me a great settlement for my automobile accident injuries. They always returned my calls and they took the time to answer all of my questions. Their staff is friendly and very professional.Paul’s assistants, Evangelina and Julia made it easy; always promptly following up on any faxes, email and voicemail. Unfortunately, my family and I were involved in a serious car accident that resulted in an injury. We worked with Paul from Caputo and Van Der Walde.Paul was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional. However, what I really appreciate about Paul and the team is that they really care about people. We were not just another case, or another client, we were treated like real people going through a real traumatic situation. Communication was frequent and thorough. We always felt engaged and well informed.Paul is very insightful and knows how to navigate challenging circumstances. He is also a great listener and really wanted to achieve the outcome we wanted. He was not focused on maximizing income, but on doing the right thing.Paul brought in other very capable professionals to really understand the circumstances of the incident. I was very impressed with the customer service and commitment I received from Caputo & Van Der Walde. After being hit by a driver running a red light, I knew I needed to hire an attorney, but I also knew I didnt want the attorney you find advertised on a bus because I know many people that have had awful experiences with those attorneys. I didnt want to feel like I was just a number. With Caputo & Van Der Walde I never felt like I was just another client. From the meeting with their office up until my case was settled, I was constantly impressed with their expertise, professionalism and most importantly; their friendliness. My sister was injured in a rollover accident which was caused by a driver coming over into her lane. The police came to the scene and wrote a report putting my sister at fault.We hired the law firm of Caputo & Van Der Walde to assist us with the liability decision and with my sisters injuries.Shawn Smith did a thorough investigation wherein my sister was able to take the information that he provided to the police. After review, they agreed with his findings and drafted a new police report putting the adverse party at fault.Shawn and their team of attorneys proceeded with going after the at fault carrier and received a settlement for her injuries. They did an excellent job, kept us updated, were friendly and professional throughout the entire process.

There are so many good things to say about this Lawfirm, Im not sure I have enough room to list them all. For starters, they were extremely comforting during some of the most difficult time of our lives. Everyone from the office staff to the lawyers treated myself and relatives as their own family.
