We had an incredible experience at Capo Creek Winery. Mary was so easy to work with. She planned a very special luncheon for my son and daughter in law. Capo was an unexpected gem in our visit north. We booked the tasting menu pairing and were very happy we did. Mary (owner, chef, host extraordinaire!) and Haley treated us like royalty. Their wines and grounds are lovely, their service and food remarkable. Mary is a wizard of all things. You can feel the love and intention in everything she does. Words cannot describe what a wonderful experience we had while at Capo Creek. We had a group of 10 and the service was prompt, educational, and sincere. Mary (and Maya) welcomed us with open arms as soon as we arrived and Janice took wonderful care of us throughout our tasting. Delicious food and wine paired with a gorgeous view. My wife and I have visited many wine regions across the world, and this was one of, if not our favorite experience. I highly recommend the premier VIP chef table where you will enjoy some of the best food and wine you’ll ever taste while overlooking this beautiful winery. Note that this is also an extremely laid back experience, not fussy at all.Mary (owner, chef, winemaker) is also a special person and what she’s accomplished is nothing short of exemplary.We almost never visit the same place twice in our travels but without a doubt if I’m back in Sonoma, we are for sure visiting Capo Creek again.

What a memorable experience we had with the tasting menu / wine pairing. Wonderful story telling and an elegant, relaxing, atmosphere with the curated music to accompany. The food and the wine were also fantastic. 10 out of 5 would recommend. Selfishly, I hope it stays a hidden gem for at least a few years so we can return without the need to throw elbows.

My husband and I just got back from a trip to Healdsburg for our 25th wedding anniversary. By far, the highlight of our trip was the Ultimate Food & Wine Pairing at Capo Creek! It was SPECTACULAR!!!! The food was simply amazing, the wines were outstanding (we joined their wine club) and Mary, the owner/chef, was so engaging, friendly and down to earth. We had such a great time talking with her! Such a beautiful place, the drive-in on a spring sunny day with the mustard in the vines was pretty spectacular. We did the six course lunch with pairings the Mary the owner cooked, served and talked about her wines at lunch. Pretty cool, great experience, loved Mary and the whole country vibe. Wow! I recently had the best afternoon lunch and tasting at this fabulous boutique Sonoma winery. Recommended by the concierge at the Montage Healdsburg, we came to celebrate a good friends birthday by experiencing their Ultimate Food & Wine Paring. The drive to the winery is beautiful on back country roads. Upon arriving we were greeted by Nadine and Mary the two proprietors of the winery. Over the long afternoon we go the whole story of how they left their medical practice and then started winery from scratch! Super engaging stories and testament to two amazing women business owners!But lets talk about the main event the wine AND the food! This six course meal was close to some of the best Michelin restaurants that I have dined in with each course building on the last. Every bite delicious the highlights for me were the Wonton, Poblano Soup and the Pierogi. The filet was cooked perfectly and the Whipped Tates were darn near close to Joel Robuchon Pomme Puree.As a self proclaimed pie aficionado, the berry galette was outstanding. Perfectly selected handpicked berries and choice fruit topped a buttery and super flakey crisp crust. Ahhhmazing.The wine paired with the food perfectly...the Rose delectable for any long sunny afternoon. My other favorite was their Estate Old Zin. Complex, full bodied and yummy. We loved the wine so much we became Cellar Brats!Because of COVID we were unable to see their Wine Cave. Also we heard legendary tales of their pizza made in the outdoor oven. Two big reasons for us to return!This is the perfect place for special occasions or just a wonderful afternoon/evening. I truly cannot say enough about how special this place is. Cant wait to go back for future wine events and more of Marys outstanding food!

My favorite new winery in Sonoma County! Capo Creek is a spectacular new experience in the Dry Creek Valley. The wines are outstanding and the food pairings are amazing. Mary and Bob have outdone themselves creating this unique and special place. Mary is the winemaker, chef and chocolatier. They offer food and wine pairings (prepared by Mary), vineyard tours and even cooking classes! An unforgettable experience … from the personal Kubota tour, by owner Mary, of the vineyards and property and the story of how it all started to the most delicious, (never ending!) food and wine pairing on the beautiful hilltop, outside dining garden. Mary prepares all the food to delicious perfection and we had Janice’s warmth and charm adding to the most delightful day you could ask for! Run don’t walk to experience delicious wine, inspiring stories and absolutely mouthwatering food courses …. a feast for the senses! I just had to share the best kept secret in Napa. Capo Creek Wine Cave Tour was pure delight. Mary took my best friend and I, including pup Maya on a peaceful tour of her beautiful vineyard. After hearing her delightful story, making me want to buy a vineyard of my own and retire, we were seated overlooking the most glorious views of wild flowers, mountains and vineyard. Then came the pairings. WOW. Every bite was incredible, up to the fresh edible flowers in my yummy peach/strawberry salad. I of course am a PROUD wine member. Wow, what a great time my wife and I had. We were so lucky they had a spot open when we called that morning. Set up a wine pairing, easy to find, just keep in my the difference between Dry Creek and West Dry Creek. We showed up, they were welcoming, courteous and seated us as we were right on time. They are friendly, engage in conversation, give you insight into the winery and make the experience very enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised at all the food items to sample along with all the wines. Just when we thought it was over, try a little bit more, with wine and dessert treats. It was all so good. The location was very nice and enjoyable. Would like to come back, perhaps with another couple. Highly recommend.Just visited again with another couple and had once again, an amazing time. We visited Capo Creek, a hidden gem, off the beaten path winery (women-owned, operated, and loved) for the ultimate wine tasting and 5-course lunch. Mary the owner took care of us for 3 hours, poured the wine that she blended, cooked, and served us flavorful but light dishes while sharing life stories. It was a rich experience that we couldnt have experienced at a larger winery. The leisurely pace of the pouring/meal allowed us time to sink into the moment and be present. We were surrounded by beautiful flowers, the sounds of birds, and the magical views of the winery. All while enjoying delicious wine and a gourmet meal. She has been able to keep her winery open through sheer will, hard work, and an overabundance of tenacity. Its not easy being a woman new to the industry, and an outsider making it in the old boys club. Her wines are brilliant, rounded, and rich in the flavors of southern Rhône. We joined the Cellar Brat 12 bottles 3x annual club without any hesitation. Mary also went out of her way and rushed to send us 6 bottles for our family gathering. We couldnt be more thankful. Dont hesitate to come to enjoy and support this unique small winery.

The Conscierge at Farmhouse Inn helped us find and select Capo Creek Winery for a combination lunch and wine tasting. It was a trip highlight! It would have been delightful just to drive on West Dry Creek Road to get to the winery. And, it would have been delightful just to sit on the beautiful patio and sip delicious wine on a summer afternoon. To top it off, we had fabulous food paired with the wines, and Mary and her team and family were fun hosts. Bravo to Mary for taking on such a big endeavor, and for executing every day with such excellence! If you don’t have time for the wine and food, just get a few bottles of the wine no matter what else you do!

The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and we were able to taste a number of excellent wines plus sample delicious, gourmet bites, culminating with Marys beautifully crafted and mouth-watering chocolates. We learned about each of the wines and the process of making them, and all of our questions (and we had many!) were carefully and thoughtfully answered. Through the tour (including the wine cave), we gained a much greater understanding of the many factors involved in making outstanding wine. You must go here. An intimate tasting experience in a relaxing setting, perfect for our group of 4. We did the pairing with two bites and it was our favorite tasting of the trip. We had a vegan in our group and they were easily accommodated. The ricotta stuffed pepper were a favorite for all of us (our vegan shared with us). We are big red drinkers and the cab franc (and all the others, including a sparkling wine) were wonderful. The owner/chef/chocolatier/extraordinaire Mary and Mary the sous chef/server were a great pair themselves and we loved the nods to music, both in the bottle design and notes in the wine.

The entire ambiance is perfect - its charming, beautiful, down to earth, and delicious. We felt like we were family. Not to mention, Mary is incredible. Capo Creek Ranch is relatively new winery in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley. Mary and Bob have lovingly cultivated the rare and sought after old growth Zinfandel vines and planted new vines perfectly suited to the valley. The result is a array of fantastic wines at a reasonable price. I am looking forward to visiting their new wine cave and visitors center. What a great experience, this winery is tucked away in a small valley just outside of Healdsburg. Its a country road to get there so go slowly as youll see more bicycles than cars. The winery is just the right size, very cute, comfortable and relaxed. The owner Mary doesnt take herself too seriously and explained that its wine so enjoy it and create memories. In the land of Pinot Noir and Cabernet they do things differently here. Of the many offerings youll find Rhone style, Estate Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc (one of their most popular) and Cabernet Sauvignon. We were invited for a tasting and food pairing. Every aspect was spot on, the food was perfectly matched to our wines, and it was truly delicious. It was the most enjoyable stop on our tour, no pretense, no big crowds and lovingly created wines. Tastings are by appointment only. The winery has also hosted weddings and larger groups with prior arrangements.
