My check engine light went on so I had a friend use his digital reader to find error code. I needed to bring car in to deal with a manufacturer issues. Fortunately car was still under warranty. Fixed for free. And although they offered to have other services that were needed, they listed the items separately and the cost involved. I declined the extra service and was out of Capital Mazda not spending any money.They were honest and friendly. Great service.

This is the second time I had my vehicle serviced at Capitol Mazda. James, the service advisor, was fantastic. All the tasks I highlighted were completed. Additionally, I was provided with a loaner car instead of waiting in their lounge for an hour and a half. I highly suggest Capitol Mazda for both their dealership and service. You don’t need to wait long to be assisted by their service advisor. The reason I am giving 4 stars because the last service I had, they forgot to inflate the tires on required psi.

Will not be coming back. They now charge 3% extra if you play with a credit card. You can avoid the fee if you pay with a debt card, check, or cash. Would had appreciated the warning when I scheduled online for service, but you dont know that until you get there. Once again, poor customer service experience at a car dealership.

Mixed feelings. Service was good — polite and informative. Payment was horrible as I was presented with a no-choice 3% up charge on credit card purchases. So I cancelled about $1k of optional work on my vehicle and will not be coming back. Other dealers do not pass on credit card fees so I will be taking my business there. Congrats — you just lost a good, high margin customer as a result of your nickel and diming.

A very professional and efficient service center. Everything is explained in very great detail and everyone is helpful. Melissa, my advisor, was kind, nice and patient. I took away a star bc the prices are exorbitant. I was in a bind and I paid what I was quoted but next time Ill shop around. The total price and the coupons applied were presented to me at the beginning of service therefore there were no surprises. They are very expensive but they dont trick you.

Had a positive experience when I took my car into Capital Mazda. My representative promptly met me at my car as I drove in. She was pleasant, got my mileage after which time she took me to her desk and ascertain why I was there. Ensured me that it would take between one and one and one half hours for my car to be ready, since I was getting a minor service and I was waiting. She was right on target. After which time she checked me out. A really good experience. I will be taking my car back for my next service.

I am never disappointed about the level of customer service and general experience I have at Capitol Mazda. Super efficient, I never feel like I am just sitting around waiting for my car to get looked at. Scheduling is easy, and everyone (from the scheduling desk person to the mechanics) are lovely.This time, my service manager went above and beyond to help me look at my key fob for a different Mazda than the one I brought in for maintenance. He was super helpful and really went above and beyond!My only suggestion is that the dealership improve the waiting room.I usually like to wait for my car and their setup is really tired. Especially compared to the one on Stevens Creek.Its not enough to stop me from buying and maintaining my cars there but its just something that would make it extra nice.

I can’t rave enough over the amazing service I get from start to finish every time I come in. My Service Advisor, Eugenia, treats me with respect, is knowledgeable and always is very responsive to me. The loaner car is always an excellent perk. After years of owning Chrysler cars, I can attest to the fact that I have never received a rental unless it was a huge warranty job and it was always an ordeal. I’ll never go back to that life. It’s Mazda for me!

They get the job done, but at a price. I want to give less stars because of how they always try to sneak in things to do to your car that you don’t necessarily want and/or need at the moment, but at least when they do work on your car, the quality of service is great. I was definitely fooled, however, by the $50 “gift card” that they send you in the mail. It’s not treated like a gift card. If you have any other coupons or discounts, you can’t use the “gift card” like a real gift card. It’s just another coupon to get you to use their services, which means it cannot be used with any other discount. My biggest complaint is that the services here are way more expensive than if you were to take it to your local mechanic. I guess you get what you pay for, but I will be going to my mechanic from now on because I get the same service and quality for sometimes half the price. I’ve been fooled by the fine print on things from Capitol Mazda too many times, so it’s time for me to move on. With all that said, even though I won’t be coming back, the service center still does an exceptional job, but at a price. If you can’t find a local mechanic who you can trust with your car, then just go here and you won’t be let down.

My 94 year old mom’s 2008 Mazda3 “died” and left us stranded. The service center located the problem quickly and took care of it. The car had not been regularly serviced for 15 years. They made recommendations and took care of everything quickly. Mom was happy.

I took my car to Capitol Mazda since my car was making a noise on the rear while driving it. Jamie was my service advisor, she helped me to get a loaner vehicle and stay on communication for everything, they had to place an order for caliper support brackets so they had to wait for it to arrive but as soon as the received it they start working on it and had it ready really fast. Has a great experience at Capitol Mazda with Jamie.

I’ve had pretty good service at Capitol Mazda over the years. My Mazda is a 2015 and I’ve gotten most of my services done there. While the prices have gone up (like everything else), they’re still around a range where I feel comfortable. My service advisors have been good and knowledgeable.

Overall a nice experience. Went for a routine service maintenance check-ups on a new car, so not much to do. Was able to get back on the road in 1-1.5 hour. They share detail video of the inspection and recommendation which is helpful.I really hope that they also did a basic carwash and a vacuum before returning the car though. This was my 2nd service, and both the times the car was returned unwashed, which hasnt been my experience at other service centers. Also, some more choices for snacks/drinks would be helpful while we wait.

I brought my CX5 Mazda to Capitol Mazda on March 25 @ 9:30 am. Dennis McConnell was there to meet me, we went inside to discuss the reason for the visit. I then was given the loner car that I prearranged for and I was on my way. I had a notice that I needed one thing more that needed to be done, I approved the work. By 11:30 I was back to get my car and on my way to continue my day ! They were all friendly and helpful.I will definitely be back 😀

I used to going to Steven creeks Mazda but the service there is getting worse.This is my first time to visit this location for my 80k miles maintenance. After our engine overheated on the freeway we towed the car to this service center.Luckily we got assigned to Melissa who went above and beyond to help us and our family. After we found out it’s going to cost a fortune to get it fixed, Melissa submitted our case to corporate Mazda and the next day she informed us that 95% is going to be covered by corporate and we only have to pay a fraction of the quoted price.I have to also add that our car’s entire 7 years of service was done here and never anywhere else. Came in for service after check engine light came on. My mechanic checked the code for me and told me the repair would be covered by Mazda under a Technical Service Bulletin. Took my car to Capitol Mazda. They told me they couldn’t find the code in question. Still charged me $100 just to tell me my battery needs replacing (already knew this). Whole process seemed unfair/a waste of time. Wish they would have been more understanding of the situation.

Came to this service center because my Mazda3 Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) was not working properly. The technicians found out that the BSM sensor had been incorrectly installed by the body shop during their repair of my rear bumper after a collision, so they had to remove the rear bumper to reinstall and calibrate the sensor. While I appreciated their efforts to fix the BSM, I was very disappointed when I noticed an obvious bumper gap that did not exist prior to the service. I had to return to the service center to have them address this issue.After waiting for an hour, they told me that the bumper gap was there already and not a result of their work. Thats not true. I am certain the gap was not that big before I brought my car in. But they kept blaming on the previous body shop repair and refused to take any responsibility. The service advisor, James Miller, even admitted that THE GAP WAS NOT NORMAL. Just to make sure, I also asked a manager from another Mazda dealership that I’ve known for years. He confirmed that the gap on my car was bigger than it should be. Then I asked to speak with the manager. What’s more ridiculous was that the manager showed me another new 2023 Mazda3, and said “See, the Mazda3 I have here also has the same bumper gap.” But the bumper gap on my car was obviously bigger, and the manager just kept insisting they’re the same and refused to do anything about it. (The white car is mine after the service, and the red car is the one the manager showed me.)It’s sarcastic that James admitted that the bumper gap on my car was not normal, and it’s not suppose to be like that, but then the manager insisted that their Mazda3 also had the same gap. This is like slapping themselves in the face. Are they implying that their new cars are not normal??I was initially relieved that the BSM was fixed, but how the issue was handled was just unacceptable. Very disappointing.

I brought my Mazda in this morning for a recall. I was told that it would take about one and a half hours. I was good with that. My service advisor, Luis Franco-Perez, asked if I would be interested in having my car receive an AntiMicrobial Treatment while I was there. I certainly was interested when I saw all of the virus, bacteria and fungus protection that it offered. All this, and my car was ready in one hour! Amazing!

The customer service at this location has been exceptional, from the moment I purchased my car here up until my follow-up services. Unike was super informative and helpful when assisting me with my purchase.Then I received a generous check-in email from Ivan for a complementary oil change months later. To be honest, I was nervous about being reeled in for other services, but my experience was stress-free and seamless. Came in for another maintenance earlier than supposed to, and the team was very upfront and honest about everything. Very transparent about pricing. A true relief!Went for my Mazdas 10K maintenance. After close to 6,000 miles with my very enjoyable MX-30, a warning came on that the in-vehicle Network needed servicing.It was already 3:30pm on a Friday, and, though I had little expectations of having the care looked at, I drove to the dealership.The vehicle salesperson, Sameer noticed me arriving and warmly welcomed me by my first name, and immediately had a technician come a take a look without an appointment. Miguel quickly assured me that it was probably just in need of a SW update and got me a service specialist to get me in. Jose signed me in and told me to come back at 4:45pm.I walked home and the in just 15 minutes I got a text that all checks of the car came green and that they were doing a SW update. In another 10 minutes the car was ready and has worked perfectly!I can recommend these Mazda team members and this dealership to not only get you the car you want, at below the price you want, but also to service it promptly and with a smile.

I never give reviews but my recent experience with the Capital Mazda service center left me very impressed. I was given a very nice loaner car at no charge, that I had reserved the day before. An hour later I was sent a video update from the Mechanic. He showed me the cracked belts and extremely dirty air filters on my own car. I was happy to add these services and have everything done in one day while I was able to drive around completing my important errands. I dont have many days off to bring my car in for repairs so it was great to have it done all at once.

Its a worry-free experience for me overall. I scheduled services a few hours ahead, then dropped my car, signed off the papers and left off. When I realized that I left my USB cable in my car and the employee helped bring it back to me which is awesome! I had gotten a coupon from Mazda for a low oil change price. So I called the office to schedule an appt and to make sure that is the correct price in the coupon, the right type of oil for my car and no additional costs. The lady I spoke to said yes that’s right oil and that is the right cost. Then I came for appt and they told me there is additional $20 to coupon as oil on coupon need ti be upgraded fir my car. I told the man I specifically asked befire I came in and was told no I didn’t need upgraded oil. The person that helped me was not very nice either when I explained to him about the misinformation I was told. The service department at Capitol Mazda is tops! I continue to take my 2017 CX-5 to them even after my service contract because they know my vehicle. I had a electrical glitch with starting the car and took it to an outside shop. They scratched their heads and couldnt figure it out so I took it back to the dealer who diagnosed and fixed the problem (dead fob battery) in a matter of minutes. Never had a bad experience with Jose and the service team. They communicate clearly and quickly what needs to be done. I brought my 2010 Mazda 6 to Capitol Mazda Service Center to fix a recall. They provided me a complementary car for me to use while the my car was being serviced. After 1 hour or so, they texted me with the update and a detailed inspection report. They include a list of items that I should take immediate actions with price estimate, which looks pretty reasonable to me. Finally I only chose to fix the recall for free and explained to them that I can do some of them myself and for other issues I need more time to understand them better. I went to Capitol Mazda on Capital Expressway in San Jose for the first time for my car service because my regular mechanic was not available. Today is 4/25/22 and I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE with Jeff as my service Tech. He was efficient, and polite, very kind hearted, I really felt like I could trust him. He agreed to take a test ride with me at some point, as I was picking up the car right when the dealer service shop was closing. I made an appointment, had my first 2020 CX5 mtce check, he suggested the coupon which was VERY impressive (that I didnt have to ask) and they installed rails and did a good job checking out the items I asked that they look at, rear back up camera scratches really evident at night, and when I accelerate hard or suddenly the steering wheel pulls. The challenge I have is the fact that the steering wheel is not steady. typically steering wheels feel tight turn smoothly but my steering wheel can shift left and right about an inch without actually steering the car in a different direction..I though when they tested it they would experience that. The late completion is my only real complaint . Instead of dropping off at 9 and picking up at 11: 30as promised, I dropped off at 8:40, it was 1:30.before my car was finished, and that was ONLY because I came at 12:30 and made a big stink about them being an hour late. Especially with COVID but really anytime I dont want to cut my activities short to sit around for 2 extra hours at a dealership. They need to determine how long it takes and only quote that time. I think they didnt start on my car until 11 which is why it was only ready at 1:30 for me to pay and drive away. It is 2020, dealership staff should know how long it takes to test drive if there is an issue, instal equipment, and do oil and filter change. Realistic time..4-5 hours seems excessive and there was no line at 8:40am so I was there early/firstJose did a great job. He was EXTREMELY helpful and understanding as I couldnt afford to pay for a full 15k service as many of the services I have had done for cheaper elsewhere (oil change, Tire rotation). He was also helpful and understanding that I did want all fluids topped off, but not windshield wiper fluid as I fill that with the kind that can go below zero. Was done MUCH faster than expected, and Jose was very respectful of my time. Made me want to come into Mazda to have other services taken care of. Jose was the only person in service that has made me feel like he was interested in my safety, protecting the warranty and not just getting money as the dealer is always the MOST expensive way to get service. He is the reason that I will come back.

The service advisor was an excellent professional. He explained all the things that the car needed. Some items were simple enough that I could do myself, like changing the cabin air filter. So I decided to buy the part, and save the labor charge. One thing he missed or may be my miss was free car wash. I do not like using hard water to wash my car, and then not completely dry it. If I knew the water was hard, I would have skipped the free car wash and could have avoided 2 hours of elbow grease to remove the white deposits on the black paint.

Only thing is that I reserved for this servicing online, there I had chosen the option for Car wash too along with this service, and it did allow to select me that option. Once I reached service station I was informed that they are not doing car wash, so I was not informed beforehand regarding that. Primary reason I chose capitol mazda over other service center nearby was that it provided additional complimentary services, which I did not get even though online portal still says is available. Apart from that service experience was good, it was done on right time.

The service department at Capitol Mazda is first rate. They make sure that everything you ask for is done and stay in touch with you via text or phone call when they find something or when your car is done. Ive had my 2011 CX-9 for over 8 years and 140,000 miles and it has only had a couple of minor issues that they resolved quickly. I highly recommend them.

I came here to get my car keys reprogrammed. They completed it within an hour as expected. They also accidentally added an oil change service which I did not want but they didnt charge me for it.The only reason Im taking off one star is because they washed my car afterwards and then, in the sun, there are water spots on my car. I wash my car myself with two buckets every weekend and I didnt want anyone else to touch. While Im sure others appreciate the complimentary service, please ask beforehand if you can wash the car. If you had asked me beforehand, the answer would have been no.

I brought my Mazda 6 to Capitol Mazda for a factory recall air bag replacement. When I arrived for my 11:00 AM appointment I was helped right away. The service advisor who helped me, Jose Moreno, was great. He was very courteous, gave me a 90 minute estimated wait time (including the recall work, a Full Circle Inspection, and tire pressure check), and offered to send me a text message when the work was done. I brought a book, but there are a couple of waiting areas with magazines, a TV, Wi-Fi, and even popcorn. They also have vending machines with other snacks and drinks. The work was done in under an hour, Jose went over the report with me (no bad news, but I was warned to keep an eye on my tire wear), and I was on my way.

I had 75k mile service done here recently. My advisor Jose was very friendly and professional and service was quick and thorough. I took 1 star off because I feel paying $1100 for a maintenance service without serious repairs is a bit too much.
