Every year we get our HVAC inspected prior to the cooling season. Capistrano Air is our recommended choice. They are prompt and do a thorough inspection. If there is a problem they explain it in an understandable manner and offer solutions. Also they point out areas of future concern and offer alternatives. Jorge is one of their most experienced technicians and we trust him implicitly. Their pricing is very competitive with no pressure to sell.

Above and beyond. Capistrano Air really knows their stuff. I manage properties for 35 years now. We had an All Pro heat pump unit that the AC wasn’t cooling. I had a company come first round who didn’t fix it and said I needed an expensive 5 hour advanced diagnosis. I decided to get a second opinion. I found Capistrano Air in a search, Chayne came and fixed the heat pump exchange. Chayne properly & promptly diagnosed the problem and had it up and running quickly. Very fair price & no problem since he came. They are my go to HVAC group from now on

I had been using a different company for servicing our 9 year old HVAC. Every time they came in the past three years, I was told that I had a problem. The same thing occurred with another property that we own. I finally decided to seek a new company. After reading the reviews for Capistrano Air, I called and set up a routine maintenance appointment which was created for the next day. I was given a window of 9 - 10. The technician showed up at 8:45 which was impressive! He was courteous and performed the checking of the equipment and replaced the filters. He acknowledged that everything looked in good working order. He did a minor correction that involved a PCP pipe that needed to be longer but never criticized the tech before him. That, too, was impressive. I am definitely staying with Capistrano Air.

There is nothing i dont like about the entire experience. Starting from sales, to contract to installation to cleanup. This is a honest business with good old fashion honesty and work ethics that you will appreciate and cannot find elsewhere.Patrick worked with me on numbers to help with a viable solution that I was able to afford to replace 2 brand new central AC systems simultaneously.So i got 3 guys here (they just finished 1 hrs ago), each with individual jobs and speciality for 2 days in a row installing 2 brand new systems and gutting some extra duct work. The teamwork between the guys (Mike, Hector and Zack) was impressive and flawless. Their professionalism was throughout the process and is reflected in the completed job.I did make my comparison between several companies and by far this company stands out. I will definitely use this company again for repairs (at my parents place!) and also highly recommend them to anyone interested in system replacement.I now am ready for the summer with quieter and more efficient systems. Summer heat, bring it!

Capistrano Air did a full HVAC (furnace and condenser) replacement and they did a truly excellent job. Big home projects like this are stressful and the bigger companies will often (1) charge you way too much, and (2) subcontract the job out to some shady company you never agreed to use. But Capistrano Air is the exact opposite. They were knowledgeable, communicative, professional and their price was fair. Were very happy.

Capo Air has been great to work with. They installed our AC unit 6 years ago and we were really happy. It recently stopped blowing cold air and they came out quickly. Ended up being a minor issue and fixed at the same time. The charge to handle it was very reasonable and we will definitely continue using them.

Amazing!Responsive and reliable.Cost effective.Expert advice.When our air conditioner stopped working just as the weather heated up and we called everyone. First NexGEN came out and gave us a $15K quote. Yes! A $15K quote! They said we needed a new system and did not attempt to find the problem.So we called for a second opinion. Capistrano Air answered our call quickly and Matt, the owner, sent someone as soon as possible. We waited only a few days, which was great, because other companies we called couldn’t respond for 1-2 weeks.Jorge looked for the problem and found the issue quickly. I returned home on a Saturday and was greeted by a heat wave and a hot house. I turned on the air conditioning and heard pop! followed by the smell of acrid smoke. Worse, there was no cool air.I called Capistrano Air and they were able to schedule an appointment for Wednesday. Luis arrived, and quickly diagnosed the problem as a blown transformer in my forced air unit. He then recognized that there was an electrical short somewhere in my system.He took the time to troubleshoot it thoroughly before diagnosing a problem with my old Nest Thermostat. The blown transformer and increased voltage likely overheated a component within. As an electrical engineer, Luis explanation made sense to me. I did not feel like he was trying to exaggerate the problem in order to inflate the invoice.I said I would replace the thermostat on my own. And I did.Luis even cleaned out our condenser. All of that extra time and effort spent beyond replacing the transformer, and the total invoice was still under two hundred dollars. I cannot overstate how surprised and pleased I was with the quality of service I received from Capistrano Air. I recommend them without question.

My thermostat went out during the past heat wave. Capistrano Air was recommended by a friend.I was able to make an appointment within 2 days of my callMy time frame was between 10-1. At 11:15 Luis called and said he will be coming closer to 2pm.I had to change my afternoon appointment because I NEEDED to get my a/c operatingLuis called at 12:30 that he finished sooner and was on his way.Luis arrived in a timely manner and did a very complete inspection. I needed a new thermostat which he had in his truck.He apologized for my having to cancel my afternoon appointment and compensated me for the inconvenience.I like that this is a family business and not a big companyFor sure I will call them again. We had Capistrano Air out to do a maintenance service and pre-sale inspection of two AC units at a house we are getting ready for market. Shane, the technician, was both prompt and very thorough in servicing the units and checking on their condition. He explained all the work he was doing in simple to understand language.One of the units was not operating properly, as we had suspected, and Shane explained the possible solutions to the problem. Hands down, most reliable, honest, affordable local gem in the area. Matt was incredibly attentive and makes you feel like you are the only customer he has because he completely engages in conversation with you and explain everything. He had someone at my house the same day for a diagnosis. He followed up with me via phone to make sure I received my quote because he had not heard from me. There was a slight discrepancy in the email address he had and I was so grateful he followed up with me. Once he had the correct email, I had the quote in 1 minute. These guys are great. Fast and responsive. We contacted 5 different companies in the middle of August when our ac all of a sudden stopped working and they not only responded quickly but made sure to come same day! Got us back up and running same day, luckily it was that type of issue, and quoted us a system that was extremely reasonably priced. They didnt raise the price quote just because they could. I called last night and left a message when the compressor on my A/C unit stopped working. I followed up this morning with Matt and he scheduled a technician for between 1pm and 5pm today. Given the heat wave in Southern California, i was ecstatic that Capistrano Air was able to accommodate my heat emergency the same day. The technician arrived promptly at 1:00pm. He was knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and well trained. He agreed with my assessment of the problem and was able to fix it in 30 minutes. This is a company that will not only have my HVAC business but a company I will use for routine maintenance and will delighted to recommend to others. I already have recommended them to my next door neighbor who called a company 5 days ago to schedule an appointment that has yet to call back. This is a top notch organization and I have already told the technician that I will use them in the fall when I plan to replace my 14 year old compressor and coil.

I did some extensive research on contractors, licenses and reputation, and finally found Capistrano air. I should’ve known better to call them first as I see their trucks in my area a lot.Another HVAC company that I will not name came to service my HVAC, and they ruined my HVAC and they charge me to ruin my HVAC. They said that they wanted to charge me again to come take a look at what they ruined. I felt like I was getting ripped off.So I finally called Capistrano air which I should’ve done from the first place, and their technician came out and fixed my AC. They only charge me $99 where the other company charge me $450 to ruin my AC.I’m going to be referring Capistrano air to all my customers and clients. I definitely will be using them for the new home. I’m going to be purchasing and I am a new loyal customer.

I rarely do this sort of thing, but I have to write an impassioned recommendation for Capistrano Air.My heat went out on Monday morning, and I had a tough time finding a company that was available even to look at the system. Enter Capistrano Air, which arrived within the hour. They diagnosed the problem, express-ordered a part, installed it, and made sure the system was up and running today before taking any payment —even for the original consult. They were forthcoming about price, communicative during the shipping process, and arrived to install when they said they would. The technician gave me his personal cell in case anything goes awry off-hours.Their prices were cheaper than I expected (roughly $95 for the original diagnostic; other places were well over $100), and the service was prompt, professional, and sensitive to the relative urgency of my situation. (Yes, it’s Southern California, but don’t come at me: my indoors hovered around 59° all week.)

It has been 12 years since we had our new furnace and air conditioning installed. We needed to have a sediment trap installed per directions from a home maintenance inspector. The GOOGLE reviews helped me decide who to call to have a routine inspection and sediment trap put in. I spoke with Matt to schedule an appointment. Today, Jorge came out to do the inspection. With the pandemic. Jorge showed up with a mask and booties. Jorge explained what he found in a clear and concise manner. I asked a lot of questions and he answered them so I could understand. I wanted more coolant and he said that I did not need any because there were no leaks in our system. This process was so easy. Payment was done electronically and the spot. I will be calling Capistrano Air next year for the service as well. I highly recommend this company!

George inspected a recently installed HVAC system for its first annual checkup. He immediately found that it had not been wired properly. I had paid for a dual stage fan but it was wired for only the A/C side, not the Heating side. George fixed it in 3 minutes and it all works great.

I rarely write reviews, but these guys more than deserve it. I discovered a potential disaster with our AC early in the morning. I called at 08:30, the most pleasant and funny Mr Van was at my house by 09:30, found the issue as a faulty fan motor within 5 minutes, and had the replacement found, delivered, installed and running by 14:30. I had a Fujitsu mini split unit I paid $6000 and Greenstar who sold it to me went out of business . The unit never worked properly but the start. Every year they serviced it and had to check leaks in system and add refrigerant . Fujitsu was very annoyed by that. So I contacted the company who bought Greenstar and they wanted to charge me $875 to check the unit which was under warranty. So I called a number of Fujitsu authorized a/c people and some didnt show up and some said we cant help you. BUT THEN I CONTACTED CAPISTRANO, THEY CAME OUT THE NEXT MORNING ON TIME AND WITHIN THE HOUR REWIRED THE UNIT WHICH WAS INCORRECTLY WIRED IN THE FIRST PLACE ADDED A LITTLE REFRIGERANT FIXED THE LEAKS AND TOLD ME ITS GOOD TO GO AND IT WAS ...PERFECT.iT WAS SO OBVIOUS THAT jORGE AT CAPISTRANO KNEW HIS BUSINESS AND, HE WAS POLITE AND EFFICIENT AND A PLEASURE.
