My AC wasn’t working properly on the driver side when all the rest was working properly. Called the office and Rick was very knowledgeable and professional! Not to happy with these guys. Told me my rear end was bad so 3600 later with a brand new rear end and now they are telling me they want another 3k because the transfer case is bad then I was told after they replace that they can’t guarantee it’ll run. But after u replaced the rear end u said it was fixed only to realize it’s not and it was the transfer case. If you have 50k to guess what’s wrong with your car sure go to them otherwise I wouldn’t.

Great service. I had a nail in my tire, they said it was going to take over an hour, when I got in there they said, don’t even worry about having anybody come to pick you up, we’re going to get you in and out. I think it took about 20 minutes total and it was like $25.

In my honest opinion, this is by far the best mechanic shop I have been to in this area. I would always drive by it and never thought to come here to get work done. My car recently had a coolant reservoir break and I couldnt drive it far so I came here. It has been the best decision I have made. They were able to find the pot of Gold and fix my car. Then when to transmission gave out I brought it here also. They have done an amazing job and let me give my praises to Dave. He has made it so easy and stress free. A former neighbor recommended Tire Pros a few years ago. I decided to stop by. Skipping the Lake Elsinore drive to my regular mechanic. Explained to Rick, Technician no serious issues with my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. However, Ive noticed a slight leak of fluid after drive and parking vehicle. Rick indicated a multipoint inspection/diagnostic testing would be performed.A few hours later, I was contacted. Rick, informed me of the leak location. Advising me on necessary repairs and price. The employees are friendly with a great deal of patience.They parked all the Jeeps together 🙂 Nice.

I have been brining all my vehicles here for a couple years now. I knew they were gold when I brought my Toyota Corolla in for a jolting/bobbing issue a couple years ago. They took a look at my engine and told me in mechanical terms something was broken in my engine that would be very expensive to fix and it would be best to drive it until able to get a new car cause the cost of the repair will cost me more than my car was worth. Again today I brought my Nissan rogue in for my breaks squeaking and they called me and let me know I still had 60% of breaks I just need to pressure wash the dirt out. I’ll be coming here for awhile. Thank you guys for everything! You rock.

Canyon Lake Auto came as a referral. It is hard to find, in my opinion, an honest and reliable and affordable mechanic. I have now found that at Canyon Lake Auto.My air conditioning went out on my versa note and they tried twice to fix it and it cost me $500 and it still wasnt working.They kept at it and the third time found something new with it and did not charge me anything and furthermore said they would apply the money I previously spent if it turns out that the compressor is needed.That is really going the extra mile to do the right thing and they have earned my business. I will have all of our work done there on both of our vehicles and recommend them to others gladly.

I had purchased a set of tires from a different tire store and two hours after i got my truck home one tire went totally flat. I called the tire store and since they are 12 miles away they told me to take it to a near by tire store and pay to get it fixed. After fighting the tire to get it off I took it to Canyon Lake Tire and told them what had happened which was the tire stem had a split in it and the tire store never replaced them. Canyon Lake Tire took the tire out of my vehicle for me and fixed it and to my surprise it was a No Charge even though I didn’t buy the tires from them. I am grateful to the Canyon Lake Tire for doing this and they will have all my future business. Thank you Canyon Lake Tire. You guys are awesome!!!

After the diagnostic Dave informed me that I would need a new engine... He said that it might be covered under warranty. He took the time to reach out to Kia and get me contact info for a service member. After finally getting in contact with someone at kia. They said that I would have to bring the car to them and they would tear it down And do their own diagnostic Because they couldnt use the diagnostic that Dave had done. And then they would submit it to Kia and see if it was covered and it could take up to an additional 2 - 3 weeks. I decided to have Canyon Lake auto just take care of the engine rather than going through Kia and possibly finding out that it wasnt covered anyway. I took a deposit down on July 3rd and I picked up my car on the 12th Even with the holiday I got it back in 5 days and it runs like a champ I also had 4 new tires put on I Am very very happy with the service.

I recently dropped off my Van to Dave. There was an issue that didnt get resolved maybe the 1st time around and that was kind of on both parties. I can see how an engine check for one issue might not coincide with another but the point is it downed my van 4 weeks after the fix. Dave personally took it upon himself to rectify the situation with price points, options on parts, labor, you name it. And ultimately got the price down that we were able to fix multiple issues that came up even before the fix..hes a master of the craft, a people person, and one of the hardest working places in menifee and an honest mechanic. Really hard to find these days but I would roll with them anyday!!!

My truck was beginning to run rough and then my check engine light came on. I figured I would have it checked before it got worse. I have been to Canyon Lake Auto Tire Pros before for another issue and given the previous customer service, it was no brainer to come back. I explained the issues that my truck was having and they would perform a diagnostic to pinpoint the problem. After a few hours, I received a call with an estimate of repairs and cost. I was shocked at how much work my truck needed. And needless to say it was going to be pricey for all the work and the time it would take to have it all patched up. I told the technician to go ahead and perform the work. Fast forward the next day Dave the owner calls me and runs me through the estimated repairs and cost associated with it. After much discussion with Dave of trying to get my truck repaired weighing out the Pros and cons, I decided not to continue with the repairs. I am very pleased with the kind of care and service was provided and the honesty and integrity of Dave and his business is beyond measure. Dave and the crew there always treat us great. Really the only place we trust for our cars. Even when I chose to do the work myself they don’t get upset that I didn’t use them. Reality is i leave them for the expert stuff I cannot do myself.Also they are great about the estimate as being the price. Sometimes it’s even lower than the estimate. I spoke with Dave or David on the phone. I had a few questions about my car that was scheduled to be worked on and already seemed irritated at me and when I asked for the diagnostic to be taken off because I didn’t want to be charged $130 for him to plug in a scanner and tell me what I already knew he got angry at me and hung up before I could say anything else. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or not but would not recommend.

I originally went in for a tire repair before a Big Bear trip. And I asked about a transmission oil change. As it turned out it wasn’t that simple. I had a manufacturer problem.I had purchased an extended warranty when we bought at Car Max. The warranty had a $200 deductible but that was better then the cost of parts and labor for the required fix.I gave Joseph the information and he would call to find out if their shop was on an accepted list. After our trip he got back to me and said the truck was still under factory warranty and GMC would cover the whole thing!No cost to us, but also a lost job for his shop! Now there’s an honest auto shop right around the corner! I’m not hoping for a break down, but I know where to go if I do!

Once again Dave and his team save the date. Needed an alignment after a rotation gone wrong and needed new brakes to boot. Dave and team perform quality work and are the only shop I trust with my cars. Never a worry about quality and trust here.Still loving this place. They take a video of your car and recommended repairs and rate them related to their urgency. Dave saved the day!! My parents got taken on a purchase of a used car. I took this car to several different places to get an idea of what the cost of the repairs would be. We were told that the car needed a new engine and it would cost them 5-7k for a new engine. We tried to sell the car to wash our hands of the problem but we were being offered pennies. I told my dad lets just try one more place! Its literally across the street from their community! The moment we got there we were greeted by Dave who was very nice and professional. I let him know the pain it had been dealing with this car and the amount of stress it had caused my dad. Dave was very empathetic and understanding! He helped us with keeping the cost reasonable for the work that needed to be done. Once the car was ready he was kind enough to pick up my parents from home so they didnt have to walk across a busy street. My parents are so happy with the outcome and the fact that they do not have to stress out anymore about having to get around. I am beyond grateful for what they did for my elderly parents. I had my vehicle taken to this place Friday the 30th of September to have a smog check and an oil change. When I got the work order I had some questions so I called them. No work had been done up to this point. The guy on the phone started being very rude with me so I asked him if he was having a bad day. No response from him. I honestly cant highly recommend this place but its ok.I brought in a truck with an electrical issue. I specifically mentioned that in addition to possibly needing an alternator, the battery connectors needed to be replaced. They did a diagnosis of the electrical system before replacing the battery connectors. IN FACT, when I went to pick it up, they hadnt even replaced the battery connectors (which were just loosely sitting on the terminals). One of the guys there was super polite and so I gave them a second chance.Next, I was told there is an issue with the computer. After some googling, turns out this is a super common issue with this truck and had they known that trivia I might but have had to spend $500.00+ on an alternator. When I asked for the computers part number, they couldnt give it to me. One guy gave me a quote for a new part, the other said a quote would be impossible without a part number. They simply werent on the same page. Ultimately a new computer is over $1k and a new alternator that bypasses the computer is $700. I wasted $500+ on the alternator they originally sold me and had to buy a modified one.Also, it took literally all day for me to hear back from them the first day but the work got done so that was nice. The second day I was told they were currently running a diagnostic check but I didnt hear back for over an hour...They were both polite. One guy was more knowledgeable. But ultimately, their timeliness, lack of internal communication with one another, and lack of specialized knowledge means that I would use them in a pinch but not as a regular mechanic.

Had many repairs on my car with almost 300,000 miles.....Dave and Co did a great job...runs like a scalded dogWe also have a 2003 Toyota Matrix that my wife loves...car runs great and much smoother with the new tires we got an explanation of the repairs was excellent and relieved me of a very grave concern.Thanks Dave (and all of your excellent mechanics).In for new shoes. The work that Canyon Lake Auto does makes thoughts of buying another car a far distant memory.

Ive never been to a better auto shop. Dave was so nice and so informative! I never felt ripped off, or like they were trying to sell me stuff I didnt need. The prices were very fair and affordable. This is definitely my go to shop now!!

Its my third time in here and every time theyve been nice, professional and it seems fair on price. Yesterday I took my wifes car and they were slow because of covid19. My wife had made an appointment at the Lexus dealer. I made her go here instead. Got an oil change, fixed a tire leak and tire rotation for about the same price of a oil change at Lexus. Very friendly everytime. Will be back plus I like to support small business when I can.

My Ford Ranger transmission was shifting late resulting fuel consumption and very load. Call transmission shops but none would tell me if they did a transmission service, only for payment they could diagnose and go from there. These guys know what to do. Came in to replace the bulb for my passenger break lights. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a smile.Work did not take long and what was cool about the process is the guy working on my vehicle showed me how to pop out the tail lights if I wanted to install any bulbs in the future.They even went above and beyond and checked other lights and replaced another dying bulb without any charge.Awesome service. Thank you.

What is one quality everyone is looking for in a mechanic? Honesty.......During a recent visit, Dave went above and beyond expectations.What was originally thought to be a front wheel bearing malfunction. He replaced it, and the car still had a noise. He then put another new one on the other side and still had a noise. He tested both originally hub assemblies and said he believed they were good.Upon further research and testing, he came to the conclusion it was a tire noise.If I had gone anywhere else this would have gotten out of hand and I probably would have been charged an arm and a leg but Dave charged me $0 since the car wasn’t fixed. However, he spent a lot of time on my car. That’s integrity and he has my business as long as I’m in the area.

My boyfriend and I had our car shut off while on the interstate. After having it loaded onto the tow truck, we called a few auto shops but they were all very busy. We called Canyon Lake Auto Repair to see if we can have it looked at and they said they can look at it immediately. We spoke to Dave who was very respectful, informative, and went above and beyond in every way. Our experience has been wonderful and I highly recommend this place.

Timing belts on Miatas are a sensitive topic. My 32-year old Miata finally had the timing belt break at 110,000 miles, and Im happy that I was nearby Canyon Lake for the repair. I was made to feel so comfortable about a job Id always worried could be problematic.Well this old car now runs better than I can ever remember it running. Says a lot about a car thats already so fun to drive -- its more fun now than I remember, after all these years!Excellent job!

I have been bringing my vehicle here since 2010 and would not take it anywhere else! This shop is HONEST (I know that word is not synonymous with Auto Repair) and is excellent at communicating what is wrong and what it takes to fix it. They have always given me an estimate at the beginning and if there is ANY additional costs they let me know right away. Their repairs are timely and guaranteed.
