A simple but modern and safe hotel. The rooms were clean and quiet. I loved the bathroom. They have a restaurant that is open for breakfast and dinner only. I enjoyed both meal services over the course of my 3 day stay. The food was always hot and delicious and the food arrived in a timely manner. Also, The location is perfect; super close to the airport, SOFI, HP Casino, beaches, and the South Bay!

Paid $25 for early check in. Get to the room and it’s damp and muggy. I assume the A/C had been going for a while non stop. The sheets feel a little wet/damp. We’re tired so we decide to take a quick nap since we were on a plane all day. The sheets are dirty. It appeared to be blood and some other bodily fluid. I call the front desk to have the sheets changed, takes about 45 min for housekeeping to show up. Later I go to use toilet paper to blow my nose and take the roll off the holder, there’s blood on the side. My family has been using this roll since we got there. Tell the staff. All I got was a generic sorry about that. Breakfast is not included. Had to pay $17 per person. Parking also not included, $16 per night. I will NOT be staying here again and do not recommend it to anyone. Grosses hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Might as well be a motel

Newer building with high tech gadgets for those interested in that; lighted headboard, open shower stall and vanity, and Bluetooth bathroom mirror. Soft mattress. TV remote wouldn’t work properly! The room was immaculate. One could say, austere. The open bathroom necessities help keep it clean. But there was no place to hang towels to dry after showers. The place had no character or warmth! Like staying at a high priced care home. Everything was gray and white and stainless except for the hallway carpets. When did builder brown and faded turquoise splattered together become a desirable color combo? I’ve been staying at Choice hotels on this trip and it seems they all have the same disturbing colored carpeting throughout! Come on, Choice! New commercial carpeting can be purchased in more pleasing tones! So, besides my rant against the institutional decor, the place is great for a clean, quiet night’s sleep, which I appreciate!

Ive stayed at the Cambria LAX 4 times in the past 3 months. Im currently working on a project with a local company thats within walking distance of the hotel. The facility is clean, comfortable, has great amenities. Its minutes from LAX, which makes for a cheap and easy rideshare trip from the airport. The staff has been consistently friendly and helpful, which is always nice when traveling for work. I recently responded to the post stay survey email to report some minor issues, and the next day I received a response apologizing for the inconvenience and assuring me that the issues would be addressed. I was blown away by the level of customer service, Ive never received a personal response to a survey before. I highly recommend this hotel if youre visiting the El Segundo/LAX area.FYI - Parking is NOT free. If you drive or rent a car, be prepared to pay $27 per night to park in the lot. There is no free public parking. Its easy to handle, just scan the QR code at the front counter or on the signs in the lot, enter your car license plate info and a CC, and how long you plan to stay. It would be much more convenient to include this in the nightly rate, but oh well. Since Im traveling for work Im reimbursed, but it does add an unexpected expense for those traveling for pleasure. My current project will require several more trips to the area and I plan to stay at the Cambria LAX again. Customer service and atmosphere are second to none.

I stayed here for 3 nights while my husband worked over here for 4 days and the service was great! Everyone was so accommodating from the front desk to the restaurant waitresses. We asked for a crib and they brought us one immediately. The waitresses got to know me and my kids from breakfast everyday and let me tell you, their restaurant menu is SO good & the ladies there are so amazing! The food was delicious. The room was nice and spacious and very clean. The ONLY thing is the water does not even get close to hot. But that was fine. My kids took cool baths and thought it was funny that the water didn’t get warm so if they don’t care, I don’t care haha. Mattel is walking distance so I got to take my kids there for some fun. The pool was nice and the hotel really wasn’t that busy. Anytime I went anywhere, it felt like we were the only ones using the amenities. Definitely will be back and definitely will recommend to our other colleagues from work! 10/10

Stayed here after a long Flight flight because it was only a 13 minute drive from a car really lovely. We stayed in a king room. It was clean spacious and comfortable. But the bed was a bit soft. Pillows were nice and plentiful. The bathroom was bright and spacious. However, the shower was too small, and it took forever to heat up and wasnt very strong. However it does have a bath which is quite comfortable looking. We ate dinner at the bar which was tasty, but the menu was limited The drinks menu has quite a large amount of modern cocktails, but no traditional cocktails.

Reading over previous reviews it appears this hotel hasnt had hot water for 2 months. Absolutely ridiculous. The manager, Thomas, called and his exact words were You can come back in a month and we still wont have hot water. Such poor management.Location was close to the airport. Pretty much the only good thing about the stay. We stayed back in the 18th and then again last night. Both times there was no hot water. They knew there was no hot water but continued to rent out rooms and not warn guests prior to arrival to make other arrangements. They said the boiler was broken and couldnt reach a manager on either stay to rectify the issue. They ended up comping us for the second stay but didnt warn us when we came back that there still wasnt hot water. They also offered to upgrade our room but how does that help when the building doesnt have hot water? They kept saying there was nothing they could do about it since they couldnt reach a manager. What kind of manager just leaves an entire hotel with no supervision? They even said we could come back in a month and there still wouldnt be hot water. Then why are they operational? Very pour service. Get a manager that cares about the property and guests enough to be available for issues that arise. There were 2 elevators and 1 was broken. It was broken during both stays.

When I first arrived, I felt like the person at the front desk was very helpful. The room, however, is where I have a lot of issues. I went to take a shower and the knob fell off. Just super easy. Barely even touched it. I was gonna let that go and not write a review, but as I looked at the sink, it was pretty dirty. There’s other parts of the room that are also kind of dirty. I ordered food at the restaurant to pick up I had to wait for quite a while not a big deal however, the person handed me the food so thank you and walked away. I assume that I paid for the food. But then at 10:00 PM I get multiple phone calls from him trying to get me to pay and come downstairs while I was already sleeping. I bought this hotel because it’s close to an event that I was going to and I really needed to wake up early so it’s really inconvenient of them to be calling me and wanting me to go downstairs I feel like he’s very unpleasant.

We checked out Monday from room 507 and had some issues. When we checked in, the room looked like it had been tidied up but we noticed there were crumbs on the couch and hairs on the bed still, so we requested new sheets and we got them promptly. Later in the evening we noticed there were insects crawling out of the corner of a hole in the shower, where there was missing grout (see video). Lastly, we saw the bathroom sink faucet was completely mobile - see video. Overall, the hotel looked nice and the housekeeping and front desk staff were courteous. However, for $200 for the one night we stayed, there were multiple problems that could have been easily taken care of prior to us checking in with better attention to detail. We told the front desk and were encouraged to send an email with the videos, we did on Monday and never heard back.

BED BUGS!!!!!!!! I checked into my room for a work trip, first there was a problem with the credit card. They wouldn’t let me check in because my company booked it and the credit card wasn’t under my name. So then I had to give them my own credit card to even get into the room. As soon as I was in the room I had a bad feeling I need to check the mattress. So I did, and discovered blood spots on top of the mattress and on the seam where bed bugs like to hide. I didn’t see any bugs, but the blood is exactly where the bed bugs hide on mattresses. So this mattress either actively had bugs, or it did at one point, and if so the hotel should have discarded the mattress!!!!! Nobody wants to sleep on a mattress with blood on it!! I went back to the front desk and the worker (I believe his name was Michael) was very understanding and completely refunded me for the room since I told him I will be staying somewhere else. He also refunded me for the parking ($58 for TWO DAYS??) Instead I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn around the corner, parking is only $25 for your entire stay and the rooms are newly renovated.
