This Church has a great atmosphere, and although it can qualify as a mega Church, it has the vibe of a small family community church because of how everything is set up and how everyone engages with each other. Pastor Chet is one of the better Bible teachers I’ve come across, not only is he relatable and his message but he is also sound in doctrine. Calvary Chapel South Bay has a healthy heart for missions and because of that it is very welcoming and service centered. The kids ministry is also robust and systematic while being able to entertain the children and educate them at the same time, I definitely recommend anyone to go and I’m glad it is here in the Southbay.

We were able to visit only once so far. Very welcoming . Big church, lots of people but they have a special couple who see newcomers and took the time to talk to us in the café.In the meantime we follow online because we do not live in California.The message is Bible true.

I love this church so much. Ive been coming here for a year now. I look forward to the teaching of Pastor Chet. Ive never sat in church and been taught about the Bible and learned about what was really going on in the world. Ive learned so much that each Sunday I wake up and actually be excited to learn something knew and understand what being read. He breaks it down so good. Youre not lost. I recommend this church for people thats really trying to understand and learn whats going on around them and around the world.

The message was quite insightful, but I was rudely denied entry to hear the entirety of it due to a policy prohibiting the consumption of CCSB Cafe-purchased beverages within the CCSB sanctuary :( Maybe adding a no beverage in sanctuary sign upon purchase around the coffee booth may alleviate this? I love the church but the people enforcing policy need to chill out.

Harvest Fest was great. Large production with May inflatables, carnival booths, food options, and a stage with live music. They had great options for a toddler too and everything (except food) was free!

Love it! I always learn so much when Im there for Thursday nights! Hats off to pastor Chet for helping me have a better understanding of the word... its big and roomie and never have a hard time finding good seats. Worship is awesome! But most importantly I leave with a better understanding and knowledge of Gods word and his characteristics than when I walked in! Praise the Lord! 😀

I am really glad that I found this church. I really love Pastor Jeff, he is very knowledgeable and kind loving man of God. Keeps us interested with his wisdom and wonderful sense of humor. I also like the music ministry, I can feel His presence if thats what brings me to tears.I especially love that pastor Jeff kindly teaches the Word of God and delivers messages aiming at consequences of sin and bringing people to Christ. Im thankful to get those reminders to try to live a good life, a daily struggle.Church always looks so beautiful especially during Christmas.

The people were not very welcoming here. They only talk to the people they know. Maybe because it’s a big church? I was sitting alone all the time there everywhere I went. In service, at the snack area, and the ladies Bible study. I was friendly. I said hello first to many. I thought I would get to make Christian friends here. Of course I came with the lord in mind but many of us who are alone are looking for a spiritual family in Christ. Eventually I gave up and did not come back.

I love this church. Ive been going here since elementary school. They always play really good and uplifting worship music. And the pastor Jeff gives good messages, he keeps it true, real, and straight from the good book itself! They have a huge main room, bring your family ! Hope this review helps. God bless you.

When it comes to preaching the word of God, this is the place to be. But its too big for me. I really like smaller churches. For all the obvious reasons. This church is about 10K members.At 2200 seating capacity per service. I didnt feel like I was apart of it, but rather just took up a seat. But the worship was great. The songs r designed to make one worship Christ.The parking is crazy. They have many helpers directing traffic, for parking.It has its own little coffee shop where u can have a little bit while waiting for service to start.All n all, I really enjoyed myself and absolutely enjoyed the preaching of Gods Word. I use to listen to pastor SM on the radio for years before he died. The next week, for the first time, I attended his church, in honor of his memory. So, this was not my first visit.

I go here a with my brother Carlos and its a powerful church. Always active in so many ways, friendly church goers, huge capacity, huge attendence, we all sing we all praise, its so welcoming and comfortable. They have interesting testimony from special guests. I really enjoy being there. Too bad its only an hour Im kidding but I wouldnt mind a 2 hour mass at all its that comfortable. I feel the Holy Spirit there and I feel as one with the masses as we praise God, POWERFUL!

We love the Bible teaching from Pastor Jeff. You can also download the app or listen online if you cant make it..We cant get enough of the word. I recommend all my family and friends. The band is the best and we love the music. The video announcements are fun, entertaining and very informational. We love CCSB. No color lines and we comes as we are. Its an amazing church that offers many opportunities to grow. All of the members are so nice and welcoming. Calvary Chapel also has services divisions for the youth and young adults, so we can drop off our Elementary kids, Junior high Kids and high school kids and my wife and I can go to the main Chapel. Many times we take our kids with us because we want them to listen to the Bible teachings from Pastor Jeff. The way the Bible is broken down and taught is a blessing and Ive learned so much. My wife and kids has attended CCSB since 2013. Ive grew up in a small Bible based church in Chicago and I never wanted to attend a large church and I couldnt find the church that I liked and feed me the word. My wife went to a Catholic school and church and she invited me to her church but I didnt understand what was going on. We tried other churches but services was too long. Our friend recommend Calvary Chapel in Gardena and I was open but it was a big church and the services was only an hour or so. We were excited about the middle school learning and our boys were able to be there with their friends from school and our high school son could go with his age group. I couldnt believe how much we learned about the Jesus. Many times I would cry in church learning so much. Thank God there is tissue all around the church. God is so perfect and amazing and I pray more than I ever before and Im happier than I have ever been knowing that Jesus died for us. I learned about Paul, Luke, John and so many books and stories that I never knew before. I bought my 1st Bible from the Calvary Chapel store so I can learn and study, because on the big screens Pastor Jeff has many Bible verses that displays on the large screens with his teachings. I highly recommend Calvary Chapel South Bay in Gardena to any who wants to learn, have fun build a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏.

This church is like a giant bag of skittles. You can find almost every race there and it is a thing of beauty. The pastor preaches from the word of God and I have grown so much. This is a relaxed church, you dont need to be suited and booted to come. Tatted up? Come on in, purple hair? Come on in. No matter what you look like, walk like, talk like you are welcome.

Sadly to say due to certain authority figures, my church is not able to worship in the manner we are accustomed to.With that said I miss being inside the very spiritual atmosphere. Church/service its good. However, cant say the same about its congregation. On our way to church, the driver of a black ford had road RAGE and almost cause an accident between it and us, not knowing we were both heading to the same place. May the Lord, grant the driver serenity when on the road.

Love it because they have a lot of children. Learning about the Lord along with their parents and theyre growing up being knowledgeable about things that are in the world that will guide them and their parents to a new truth everyone is really friendly and very polite and its just a nice place to be on a Sunday on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday and especially on Saturdays.

Great place for worship services, great messages & kids place. I know the church offers alot of counseling & help to the Christian community as well.One of the parking lot guys were a bit condesensing on Easter Sunday though, Im from the eastcoast so to me, L.A. peoples attitude is a bit funny (kinda like lil kids that have tantrums at the bodegas, whem mama dosent buy candy, lol) in any case, I really had to restrain myself in not letting the hood get out of me and just breathe, for my kids, my wife & Jesus!! lol. I know very well church is a hospital for the sick in spirit, but wow, are these ex-police & crossing guards, directing traffic? or do i just need a little bit more patience for people? lol.. anyways, over all its a great place! love pastor Jeff.

I made a legitimate inquiry as to someone who claimed employment there. This inquiry was handled poorly. First although the person who handles these inquiries was present she refused phone call, did not respond to my voice mail and continued to evade me. When she finally took the call she said she could not verify yes or no whether the person had worked there on the phone. I agreed to sending her an email request with documentation supporting the reason for the inquiry. I was not trying to get any details except proof of employment. This is a fraud investigation. The person then did not respond to my email even though she assured me she would. When I called again the receptionist was laughing and this other person was rude stating she would not give me any answer. She said she was turning me over to her attorney. I tried to get the attorneys name bit she said she didnt know who I was. I gave her my credentials and business name. She was rude and hung up on me. This has inspired me to really dig much deeper and to why a simple yes or no for employment was not forth coming. So I am now widening the scope of the investigation not only to verify employment but anything else that is being covered up. They would not let me talk to the pastor who Probably may have handled this better.
