Small beautiful hidden gem of a hotel. The property is very small with only about 8 rooms. Makes it very intimate. The breakfast that was provided by the hotel was simple but very pleasant and filling. We stayed in the Wine Makers Villa. Pictures don’t justify the beauty of the room. It has two full bedrooms each with a full bathroom, and an outside Jacuzzi. I would love to come back and enjoy of the room and property. Don’t pass this property by it’s such a quiet, beauty.

Isolated small campus villa where the grapes are grown, and the rooms are really nice. There are two Tesla home chargers available for EVs. Complementary breakfast was excellent, served buffet style and crafted by their chef. Notably, bacon pancakes were airy and had structure to keep them light. Other morning treats make the breakfast a multi act show. Highly recommend.

Let me start by saying this…my daughter’s wedding at CaliPaso was MAGICAL!You and your guests will be transported to Italy without all the costs and lengthy plane flights. From the building architecture to the surrounding vineyards, CaliPaso truly feels like a European destination wedding. If you didn’t know any better, our wedding photos look like they were taken in the Tuscan region of Italy.The grounds were beyond gorgeous. The area for the ceremony was an architecturally stunning building with a grand staircase & fountain. It couldn’t have been more spectacular. The adjacent reception area also felt like a courtyard in Italy with string lights that enhanced the ambiance throughout the evening.We rented the entire venue so family was able to stay on site for the weekend which made the occasion that much more special for those closest to us. The rooms were fabulous & spacious with breathtaking views of a vineyard from the balconies. But the best part was the bridal suite, it was like a beautiful home found only in magazines which allowed for gatherings of friends and family throughout the weekend.I need to comment on the food, it was absolutely amazing! It was the thing most people commented on besides the venue. Portion sizes were great and it was restaurant quality, which is hard to accomplish with a large guest count. How can you beat that?!  Lastly, Ruth was our contact person from start to finish. She was so helpful, patient, caring, and never made you feel like you were asking too many questions. Ruth made us feel so special!CaliPaso will always have a special place in our hearts! You can’t go wrong booking your wedding at this venue…it will be a highlight for you and your guests for years - it is that unique.

My husband and I got married at CaliPaso in May 2022 and it was the most magical and beautiful day of our lives!! The venue is drop dead gorgeous and also extremely intimate. The lights strung above and hung on olive trees provided a beautiful ambiance for the reception and there were tons of beautiful areas for photos and different parts of the day. We also loved staying at the venue with our families for the weekend. We were able to have a small after party on site because of this which made the night even more fun.On top of that, the people and food were AMAZING. Ruth was such a joy to work with and everyone else working at CaliPaso made our wedding weekend seamless and fun. We got numerous compliments on both the venue and the food. If youre contemplating getting married here, do it!

If you want to visit Paso Robles and have an escape to a European like feel with views of the vineyards, this is your place. Small boutique hotel with a wine tasting included in the stay, and the wine is actually really good.Corinna at the front desk was so kind and helpful. As soon as we arrived we came down 5 notches.Photos don’t do it justice, clean and classy.

We loved this place. We were up in the hills finishing up a wine tasting and wanted a relaxing spot to keep the wine flowing and have a delicious meal. This place was perfect. We sat outside on the terrace. Beautiful setting, cool evening breeze, excellent service and exceptional meal. Cant say enough good things about this spot. It has an Inn on-site and is a wedding venue. The restaurant is new and is a hidden gem.

Upon arrival we were already blown away by the beauty of the layout. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is only a small finite amount of rooms which made the grounds so peaceful, exclusive, and quiet. When we entered our room we were at a loss for words. BEAUTIFUL! The view from the balcony was overseeing the vineyards and left us in awe. My wife and I decided that this would be the only place we would want to stay at if we have overnight ventures here. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place, with average food and poor service! The food was average, with the halibut and cioppino being unspectacular and bland. Most importantly, the service was terrible and disappointing. Besides the main courses, we also ordered a bottle of red, coke and two additional kids items. The server causally gave my wife her coke can without a glass, they did not have cups for the kids… overall, I felt a sense of uninterested in her service towards us. We would appreciate some courtesy and professionalism from the staff.

Beautiful property with a wonderful hotel and restaurant on site. Very welcoming spot with plenty of spread out seating to relax and take in the beautiful scenery. For dinner we had the best server in Jacob. He made us feel welcomed and made very good recommendations. The freshly baked warm sourdough rolls with tapenade and butter to start was perfect. We ordered the Bruschetta as an appetizer along with a bottle of the grown and harvested on site Cabernet. For the main course we ordered a filet that came with garlic mashed potatoes with roasted vegetables, as well as the chicken parmigiana with rotini pasta with a very nice artichoke and sun dried tomato sauce. Both meals were fantastic and the dining experience was memorable. Thank you Jacob and CaliPaso for the memorable experience, we will return.

My friends had a wedding here. It was so beautiful. They a small number of rooms available and even serve breakfast. I typically dont like out door weddings but this venue has a special charm to it. I didnt mind at all. Only one regret... I didnt try the wine... Ill just have to make another trip up there one day...

Location is hard to find at night but the villa is beautiful on the outside. I did not stay here overnight or their wine selection but came to dine. Service was sub par. Felt like our server was needlessly running without real purpose. Have a feeling that they were severly understaffed and under trained. Our main server did not know the days specials. Had to ask what the protein for the pasta special of the night was, twice. Runner guy that took us in for a reservation was really attentive. Did not get pictures of everything but the amuse-bouche was cold and underwhelming glorified deep-fried mozzarella balls with ragu served on a soup spoon. Highlight of the meal were the stuffed mushrooms, not pictured. The seafood special, tomato and avocado salad, pasta special with mortadella, and fillet mignon were all heavily seasoned and all very one note. The one thing about the steak they got right was the temperature. I asked for medium-rare and got just that.

What a Wonderful place to spend Valentines day. Arrived early, our Fantastic room was waiting. King sized bed overlooking the Vineyards, wine and cheese Happy Hours, free tastings when you go downtown. Breakfast was included at the Winery in their Bistro, prepared by their award winning Chef. It was a Culinary Delight. The CaliPaso Winery and Inn is not Cheap, but it is WORTH the price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Driving back from Monterey car week we accidentally found CaliPaso Winery and Restaurant and am I glad we did! The grounds are very beautiful and well kept in a nice Tuscan/villa style. We were told that they also do a lot of weddings there and I can see why as the décor is stunning and takes me back to nice Italian villas.We were greeted by our host Stephanie who was super enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all the food and wine and gave some great suggestions on one what to get.Did I mention food and wine? Well...the mozzarella pearls were by far the BEST version of mozzarella sticks I have ever had. I think it was the fact that they use fresh mozzarella pearls that makes the difference. Super crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.For my main course I had the flat iron steak that I asked for medium rare and it was cooked to perfection...something many restaurants seem to get wrong on such a thin steak. It came with some veg and mashed potatoes that I though at first were sweet potatoes but were actually mashed potatoes and pureed red bell pepper and spices. Hats off to chef Justin for not only making the food delicious but also visually appealing and that much more special.One of my friends had the Cali burger and seriously...look at that melted cheese!So if you are ever passing through Paso Robles stop in and give them a shot. If you are a local...support this place and keep your dollars in your community. Stephanie, Justin and all the other staff will treat you well, serve you great food and wine (more on the spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon in another review) and make you want to come back again and again.

Chris and I were excited to plan our intimate elopement at CaliPaso on the weekend of July 31st - as we were a big fan from the first time we visited their stunning property. Ruth was the biggest help in getting our special long weekend set up. She contacted me consistently from every detail of the flowers/altar set-up, cake, musician, ceremony planning, and villa accommodations, with special ordered wines and meal after our big moment.We had a world class 6 course meal at our private villa by Chef Chris. He went above and beyond to ensure delicious, beautiful, and delivered on the VIP experience. Our server was amazingly friendly and helped us with a memorable service. Our food consisted of the 3 appetizers of bruschetta, Italian meatball, tortellini skewers, the wedge salad, and their famous Santa Maria Tri Tip main course. He also took care of our vendors the musician and the videographer and photographer with healthy and yummy meals.Luckily we had the best Spanish classical guitarist come play the intro and outro of our ceremony. If you want to reach out to Jack Cimo - hes a local and incredibly talented. Took the time to learn Speechless by Sarah Reeves and played for us throughout the dinner even beyond the planned time. We were thrilled with him being part of our day. He really helped pulled it all together in a unique way. Chris and I danced our first dance to him singing French!The flower vendor was Julias Flowers with Kirstin Jaureguy helping put together an exquisite assembling of a big wooden arch with the most delicate and gorgeous flowers ever!Our cake was created by Cake Cathedral by Jenny Perello. A nude cake was made and was perfect for our party of 4.The makeup artist was the talented Rhyan Townsend through Rozetree Bridal. She came in early and treated us ladies with care and is just a super cool lady to get to know.The last crucial part of our wedding was the live footage set up by The Cinestory (Los Angeles) with Dan the owner/videographer, and Egor the photographer! They were amazing at capturing all the right moments, putting it together and delivering the end product beautifully.We ended the weekend experience with the amazing Hot Air Balloon ride with Phoebe Brown of Balloons Over Paso.For the situation it was during Covid, they all helped us pull together a incredible and special time for our marriage and we honestly loved every bit of it. It felt like we had the whole grounds to ourselves during the ceremony. Having a private balcony to eat on was perfect. We could hear the goats, see the vineyards, smell the crisp fresh air, and have the quiet we enjoyed.Please check out all these vendors if you want an easy elopement style wedding in Paso Robles :D

My husband and I were supposed to stay here on 24th of August. His sister was due on 29th but she went into labor that morning. We called this hotel, told the lady that we had to cancel our reservation not expecting at all to get our cancellation fee back..she said she was going to refund us but honestly we didnt really think that would happen.. That was really nice of her and we appreciated it so much!!! Our nephew was safely born on 25th evening. Yes, our sister suffered for 48 hours...next time when we plan on trip to Paso Robles, we will 100% stay here and we highly recommend this place with such a hospitality.

I do not have the words to describe how AMAZING calipaso and it’s entire staff is. I got married there just a few days ago and I sit here just thinking over and over about how beyond perfect our day was (even in the 101 degree whether). Chef Chris went above and beyond from the very beginning to help us choose the most perfect menu for our guests and added every little request we had plus some! The hotel staff and chef ryan were also incredible making every single meal we had while staying at the villa perfect and personal. chef ryan asked me what I wanted to eat on my wedding morning and made the absolute most perfect spread for us all. Ruth helped us with literally anything we needed all weekend long and she honestly felt like family by the time we left. It brings tears to my eyes to think about how amazing our whole wedding weekend was and so much of that is due to CaliPaso and the INCREDIBLE staff. If you are looking for a wedding venue, or even a place to stay on the central coast for the weekend, you can stop your search now. We choose Calipaso Winery & Villa based on location and pictures on the internet. We wanted our Wedding to be private and something to remember. We got all that and much more. The grounds and our room were beautiful, inspiring and relaxing. The staff was outstanding our wedding on the grounds was special. We would like two add that our private dinner cooked by Head Chef Chris Krotke along with Ruth Emmons was as we had planned delicious and private.
