The general area is very clean. The restaurant is clean and exactly like other CPKs except our order was correct the first time and it was nice and hot. Loved this location! We went to the Barnes and Noble first and came here for lunch. So lovely! Me and my fiancé witnessed some road rage in the parking structure so come calm!

This was our first time at CPK and the pizza was so good that we ordered extras. The server made continuous rounds to make sure we didnt need anything. This is a great location to just walk around after a meal with ample parking as well.

The food was very good as well as the service. The background music level was very high and annoying. When asked to turn down the volume, we were told the manager was the only person allowed to do so and that she was busy. Twenty minutes later we asked again and we were given the same answer .

First time having dinner solo excellent choice for a restaurant. The restaurant was very spacious, clean and just the right atmosphere for a solo date night! I was greeted with the host opening my door, remember I was on a date with myself so I felt special, chivalry is not dead ladies! I was seated immediately, my waiter Elmer came right over very polite, and excellent customer service. He was very attentive to my needs. I watched him hamdle other customers and he attended to them just the same. So now in to the food excellent excellent excellent! I am sold this California Pizza Kitchen is one of the best! I will definitely be back soon!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE QUEEN TREATMENT! On my next visit I will definitely be meeting the manager of this wonderful establishment!! Have to give him a personal compliment!

Attitude from the front lady was highly unpleasant. She was giving firm negative vibes to where the customers were afraid to order. Convincing customers to basically not order as the wait was abnormally long.I heavily attempted to bypass her tude with smiles and friendly vibes, she wasnt having it. Aside from the food taking extremely long to come out, she forgot an item and felt bad enough to give us coupons for the delay. It shows shes not happy to be there. She pours it on to her customer service skills. Worst customer service in this area.Suggestions: Ralphs grocery store across the parking lot is amazing, quick & and shows you appreciation as a valued customer. Love the chopped Chinese chicken salad, friendly staff. Disabled parking section, restrooms, full bar and other good variety of food dishes. When we returned for a re visit the table looked like it was clean but had dirty appitizer dishes, with place settings. Service slow waited again around 25 min to receive our food, waiter was nice. Went back today and again service was very slow, waiting for our food about 30. Food ok couldve been better. Once again dirty appetizer dishes. Its time for me to change my rate 4 to a 3 star.

Ive been going to CPK for more than three decades, and I have to say my experience on Friday afternoon was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. We had Melissa as our waitress and she was horrible. Starting with not bringing my son his lemonade, after he ordered it at the same time as the rest of us. Then it took more than 20 minutes to get our appetizer, then as soon as we received our appetizer, our dinner came, and because she didnt pre-bus our table or give us enough time in between, our table was full of plates and when trying give my son his dinner, the food fell off the plate and onto the table and she just looked at him!!! He picked up the food off the table and put on his plate - and she didnt even offer a new plate of food or apologize. Both my sons ordered medium well burgers and they came almost raw. I showed her and she said no, thats how it comes. I was floored. Medium well should NOT be RAW. I took a photo and showed the manager when I left. She too tried telling me it was medium well. To top things off, my salad order was wrong - and Melissa never checked up on us at to see how our meal was and never came back to refill drinks or water. I had to drink my sons water, because my glass was empty. There was no pre-busing done, food was extremely undercooked, service was terrible with a terrible attitude to boot. Its sad that the CPK in Redondo Beach closed, because that was my go-to. They had the best service, bartender and chefs. Note to management: 1. Train your employees on the basics of being a waiter/waitress. Tables need to be bussed throughout the meal, drinks need to be refilled. 2. There should be a 2 minute check up after food is delivered to the table. 3. Make sure you chefs are cooking according to temperature, not time, and for the love of nachos, hire staff who actually want to be there.

I dined in this afternoon at this location. The wait staff was attentive and personable. My only complaint was I asked that the bread for my club sandwich be toasted or grilled because although I enjoyed this same sandwich on my last visit, I did not like the cold, hard bread. The waitress returned and stated they would honor my request this time, but in the future, if they are busy they won’t be able to toast the bread. This makes no sense and I think it was very rude for the kitchen to send the waitress back to my table to tell me this. I dine here frequently, but this just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I dont know what they did, maybe they changed management, but CPK is back in the Marina the way it should be--perfect.We have ordered there so many times now I have lost count and each and every time our order is perfect and the service is great. We have not eaten inside much, but when we do the service is friendly and fast and the food great.We have been doing CPK take away at least 10 times in the past few months. It is that good. We call it in or just walk in. The manager there is so great. If there is the slightest problem, they are on it right away. They tell us when to pick up and it is hot and ready the minute we get there. All of their take away is as good as eating there, and that is not usually my experience with a lot of other take aways.We love all of their pizza and now have been through the entire menu of pizza. We have not tried the cauliflower dough and never will, just not our thing. The five cheese is so great and the shrimp pizza and Thai pizza are some of our favorites.We also love their bread and they give you plenty if you ask, I do and I get extra and it is so good. It is always fresh.Their pastas are also very good. We especially love all of their salads. Try their chopped or Italian or Caesar. Just wow.This is now our favorite CPK and we are so open to be able to go local again. So go there.

This was our second visit to this restaurant and I have to say unfortunately it wasnt as great as the first. Food wise it is just ok in regards to pizza. I got the Hawaiian and it literally was on par with a pizza my kids make when we have a family pizza night. Now thats not bad, obviously the pizza tastes fresh and was cooked properly. But for the price Id expect to be blown away with flavor and cheese and plenty of toppings. But my reaction was this is a fresh ok tasting pizza, but not amazing. Also, my wife asked for no cilantro on her order and they botched that. The chef took the cilantro off and then squirted extra sauce on top to cover up the taste, which didnt work by the way. The mishap made her pizza also look like one that my kids make on pizza night. Service was pretty good, lemonade was also great. But overall I can only give 3 stars for the subpar pizza. Personally I would have rather had a pineapple/pepperoni pizza from Dominos.

Staff was very friendly on entering the restaurant but seemed very lacking in knowledge and was unable to answer several questions. Food came out fairly quickly and hot and as ordered. The interior of the restaurant leaves much to be desired as the booth we were sat at had a large hole in booth that had been covered with blue tape. Overall, food was not bad at all, but it might be worth taking it to go and get your answers from someone other than the staff.

Three stars for the food, zero stars for Lesli. She was too busy in her friends drama to pay attention to me. I went to go pick up my online order at the same time that her coworker was being reprimanded by her manager (acting like I was stealing, as she later explained). So, that was my first mistake. Then I have the audacity to ask if the purchase counts towards the fundraiser for the slain PCH officer because there was a flyer on the counter. No answer. She was paying attention to the discussion going on next to her which is when I started paying attention because that was way jucier than my boring pick-up order. Then she asks if I want utensils, the answer was yes and it seemed to be acknowledged but there was nothing in the bag when I got back to work. Then she asks if we want our receipt. The answer is no but two seconds later, theres Lesli holding out a receipt looking annoyed at the fact that Ive begun to walk away. So I hope Lesli and her manager read this. Sorry I couldnt bring up my concerns then and there but I think you guys had enough going on and lets face it, my thoughts are much more eloquent typed out. And this is a picture of my delicious California something pizza w/o bacon. It wisely comes in two parts.

Ive been a long time customer of this CPK location and had great experiences until now. I ordered via Postmates last night and had leftovers so I decided to reheat them for lunch today. As I was eating one of the slices I noticed a long, blonde hair baked into my pizza.... Im going to barf. I am brunette and did not bake this pizza so I know it wasnt my hair that was baked into the cheese.... I called and one of the hosts said she would transfer me to a manager, I waited on hold and they told me the managers are too busy because there is a lunch rush.... Restaurant is set up with the many 2 top tables, booths are a long wait.Our server was new, service was s.l.o.o.w.Frustrating to see our food sit on counter for a while before server delivered.Of course, pizza was no longer hot.CPK used to be great...just average now.

However, service on a weekday was a little bit slow and they ran out of bread and we had to ask twice for it until they told us they had to make more. And it didnt come out til the main course came out. Id like to have bread on the table within minutes after sitting down, just as fast as water comes out. I’m vegetarian and they put chicken in my pasta, when there wasn’t even chicken in the dish originally. Absolutely disgusting, not sure what pan they used or how that happens. At first, I was seated outside but that was an bad idea since youll be among birds and there goes your crafty pizza.. so, then I moved inside and the chairs didnt feel sturdy enough. This was my first time EVER being disappointed with a meal at a California Pizza Kitchen. I ordered a salmon on the plank and what came out was dry without flavor. I should have returned it but didnt. It left the mind of flavor when you ate fish at home when you were a kid and decided you hate fish. I have been here many times. Sometimes the service isnt that good, but most of the time it is. They are very friendly and chill. They let me do the things I need to do, sitting at my table and they refill things when I ask like coffee, iced tea, and water.They have updated their lunch specials menu to include many more options!! Its a combination of two different things that you choose. They give a lot more choices now you can get soup and salad and sandwiches and pizzas. Its a really nice little lunch combo for the price. I think the special is on from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m every day. I believe that time frames right... it could be longer.

The bf and I came to bar for a quick stop while we waited for our table at another resturant in the same plaza. This was only the second time Ive been to a CPK. Since we were only here for drinks I can only speak on the experience at the bar. The service was quick and friendly. Im not the biggest alcohol connoisseur... im still learning. But I do know I like sangria. And they just happen to have flight option. Which comes with a traditional red sangria, strawberry lime and peach orchard sangria. All three were delicious! So so good. My favorite was the peach. I could have consumed a whole jug of it. I look forward to discovering what other deliciousness CPK has to offer.

Ive met friends St this lication msny times.The food is good, as the lunch special is a really great deal. I seem to always get the BBQ chicken pizza & tortilla soup. Both of these items are really enjoyable. :)The service only gets 2 stars, as I never seem to have really great service. Most of the servers seem to be nonchalant & dont really extend themselves too much. At times, its a major effort to get bread before ordering the meal. Ive been here on various days/times & most of the servers are just okay.Theres always plenty of nearby parking.The good news is that they are always trying to upgrade the menu with different options.All in all, the food & catching up with friends has made most experiences enjoyable.

Hadnt been here in 3 yrs. Today we went. I was looking forward to it. Got there about 1pm. Not horribly busy. Service was abysmal. Took forever to get even our drinks. The food took forever. My husband and I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. The crust was hard and brittle, little to no chicken (the chicken was dried out), the sauce, cheese and onions were nearly non existent...and the whole thing was cold, as if it had been sitting out from the time we ordered to the time it was delivered. The waitress never followed up. It was a horrible experience. Took nearly 2 hrs from start to finish. Just awful. Unfriendly, unconcerned staff. Just atrocious. No excuse. Not even a friendly glance. A microwaved $5 frozen pizza would had been more rewarding than this $20 brick. I tried to be pleasant, didnt make a scene. However, I will not come back and I will not recommend to anyone.

Staff was amazing in every way, and they even allowed me to sub in plant-based chicken onto the Thai chicken pizza. It was the first time that I had the classic barbecue chicken pizza, which was excellent. Thin-ish crust, a bit crispy, but not too much so. Chicken was cut up into smaller pieces that were easy to chew. Nice BBQ sauce and cheese base. My wife had the chicken piccata on pasta. She enjoyed it so much that she finished it. She did give me a sample, and it was excellent. Tender chicken in a lovely sauce, on perfectly cooked thin pasta. I understand why this particular store gets such positive reviews. We sat on the patio, and the headlights from parking lot traffic were irritating at times, but not enough to detract from our conversation and meal.

For the last two years I have been coming to this location for dinners. Location is great. Quality in the past was pretty good, staff were great and had great knowledge about the establishment.... Unfortunately, the last few visits have gone downhill. A week ago, the bread, served prior to dinner, was warm and fresh, but at dinner(well, after dinner!!!!!!!) it was stale. That has never happened before. Food was quite alright, but unfortunately the waiter didnt seem to be right there. The pasta dinners arrived but not the bread, and after a few attempts with the waiter, we just gave up. It did however arrive to us when we had finished dinner!!! Really?!?! Bread after dinner?.Finally, yesterday I made an other attempt. Envited 3 friends of mine, my treat. My pizza was quite alright, however my friends were very unhappy with the quality of the food(even though they did not have to pay). I believe one had a pizza, one a pasta and the last a fish dish. Two of them enjoyed the quality of the margaritas though. I will say this. It’s all about location location location. I ordered the same bbq chopped chicken salad without the chicken at the location in Pasadena and the salad was fresh and presentable. I ordered the same a few days later at the Marina del Rey location and first, they got the order wrong. They had not removed the chicken so once home I had to fish the chicken out and I noticed that a great bit of the salad wasn’t ‘chopped’ so I had to fish large lettuce leaves out and either chop or toss if it did not look well. This was not ok. But I also have a question for both locations. Why isn’t it a reduction in price without the chicken? That is not ok as well

This place has really gone downhill over the last few months. We have a new baby in the house and my wife and I place pickup orders. They are notoriously wrong. A chicken Cesar comes with out the chicken, a roasted veggie salad comes with only lettuce. Every time we have to point it out or find out when we get home. We can’t ever seem to be able to have a meal together that is correct. How hard is it to read the ticket and place the correct order in the bag? I’m gonna miss going to this place but the team has doesn’t ever seem sorry. You’ll get your refund in 5-7 days ok bye.

We are visiting LA, california from Eastern PA. We decided to come out for dinner at this location. The food was fantastic, but the server (Lawrence) but very subpar. We were barely checked in on, he stated that the card machine had problems so we had to pay in cash (which is always very sketchy), and asked another server in front of us that if he started at 4, was he able to leave at 9.. she even seemed uncomfortable with that question. He appeared to rather be anywhere else and didnt care about his job at all... which is fine, but thats his problem and not ours to havea bad experience. There were 2 hosts and 1 waitress chatting with 2 customers who were about to exit when I walked in. I might be about 3 steps from where they were standing but no one acknowledged me. They just continued to chat until the 2 customers left, finally one of the 2 hosts asked if I can sit at the bar. I looked around and saw at least 7 tables are available so I told her I want a table. I must have memorized the menu and still continued to wait...and wait. Ten minutes later my server came to take my order, no apologies for making me wait too long. My food came in time and it was delicious. A few minutes later a couple sat next to my table, my server was there in a heartbeat. Apparently they are his regulars, brought their drinks and bread right away. He went back to them twice before he even brought their orders, then came back twice more to ask how theyre doing or if they need anything. He came back to me much later to ask if I want some dessert. Some service!!! If not for the food, which I enjoyed, they would have gotten 1 star or ZERO if there was a zero.

This is the most rude restaurant I have ever been to. A waitress is in charge. We asked to sit on the window with a cleanly placed table, but she told me to sit there and we would wait a few more minutes to clean up. My husband made reservations for dinner on Saturday, February 15, at 7:00pm. All afternoon that day, he continued to get text messages confirming that reservation. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:00 sharp and there were at least 70 people combined waiting outside and inside of the restaurant. It was at that time that I was told that they were not taking reservations that day!!! I then pointed to my husband and said that he had been getting confirmation texts all day for the reservation. He then showed her those confirmation texts on his phone. She said to both of us that she was sorry about that miscommunication, but we would have to wait along with everyone else! I said that “even though we have a confirmation or the reservation that we had to wait?”, she said yes. I then asked her for her business card and she gave me a card. I asked her whether it was hers and she said, no, it’s my manager’s. I said I want yours as well and she gave me another card. For the record, the manager’s name is Mark Beaver II and she said he was not there that day and her name is Martha Romero. As a result, we then left the restaurant to get a meal elsewhere. I normally do not write reviews, however, in light of the fact that there was an obvious miscommunication on the part of that restaurant, my expectation, Which is not an unusual one, would have been for them to honor those reservations. The only saving Grace of this restaurant for delivery drivers is that the tips are big. Everything else lacks professionalism. The Take out section always has servers that are tired and seem like theyd rather wait on tables than handle to go orders. Ive put in 3 complaints so far to GrubHub because of this. On one instance a server named Alejandra tossed me a soda through the counter, this after I made eye contact and smiled at her upon entering and got only a scowl. A lot of the employees there seem to hate you for no reason other than they hate their job and hate that youre there picking up food. 2 separate times Ive had a to go order just waiting on the shelf, no notification that it was done. Recently I was given a bad attitude for...wait for it...coming EARLY to the pick up. And this was STILL one of the orders that got put on a waiting shelf for who knows how long before I was able to actually retrieve it. Totally uncool. Ive been a waiter before, I know to go orders are a hassle...but please employ people who dont take their frustration out on the drivers. Im here to make myself and the company money. Dont expect good service at this location unless you are pretty. Absolutely no staff member pays attention to you if youre ordinary looking. Seriously, just want to go home and cant get the bartenders attention enough to pay my bill

Extra cheese on a childs pizza is a $1 feeMy child was upset and they were rude acting like we were inappropriate by asking for extra cheese. Overall an awful experience!!!!! An extra 15 minute wait because they didnt put our prefer in until we paid for the cheese.

I love this place! Great selection of food from low calorie to extra fatty, if you are not on a diet. Parking is terrible, especially around lunch time. Great service!

Resident of Marina Del Rey for over a year, and first time we actually went to CPK. The restaurant that I once considered a relatively nice place to go in my hometown back on the East Coast, has begun to show more of a chain type quality over the last few years reminiscent of Applebees. This location cemented the opinion, with overpriced food and an expired ingredient (likely ranch dressing) that ultimately has left my girlfriend sick over the last 72 hours.

We had two salads. One was a blah Cesar salad. I dont remember the other. The portions of chicken that came with them were small. There is a sports bar room, but the game was blaring over the sound system throughout the dining rooms.

I am plant-based and for being a pizza place they miserable failed on a vegan pizza. It tastes sooooo bland. Vegan and plant-based are not bland foods. I wonder if the person who came up with the vegan pizzas is actually vegan or a plant-based chef.

Tried to Dine-in and they said they can’t serve us because they are in shift change the the new servers will take 30 mins to be in place and serve us 😂 first time to hear that, meanwhile seated 2 large groups . Something is really wrong here
