Wonderful first visit! Dr Freeny was fantastic! She explained everything, she was nice and competent and a very good listener and she was even training her staff and she was so supportive and nice about it. They checked my coverage while I was there and explained it to me! There were really good post visit instructions and her staff was really helpful with products. They didn’t try to sell me anything, they had products but for some things the Dr suggested appropriately priced options. I’m so happy I found this office.

I would happily refer anyone here. I am greeted in a friendly manner. The wait time is minimal which is so important to me. My ck up is thorough. Check in on the automated system wasnt quite smooth but receptionist took care of that. Dr. Freeny explains things very well and answers questions so that I left understanding what I was dealing with and how to approach my concerns. My experience hasnt been great here. The front desk has generally been helpful and kind, but sometimes cold and even a little rude. They require an initial consultation, but the consultant didnt call, text, or email at the scheduled time. I eventually had to cancel my appointment, and they told me theres a 5% fee to refund a deposit. I dont remember seeing this when I paid for it. Id recommend looking at the yelp reviews for the business to get a less biased perspective.

A very satisfying visit for my first radiation treatment. Joel (who prepped me for the procedure) was professional and friendly and was patient with my questions. Dr. Ting inspires confidences and explains what and why while he is doing a treatment. This is a great medical establishment and I would highly recommend Dr. Ting to anyone who would like a referral for dermatology needs.

I get checked every 6 months due to skin cancers I’ve had. I had an appt with Dr Freeney and had made notes of all the questions that I had for her - all derm related. She answered everything and was so helpful. I knew she would be able to give me the best advice. She is thorough doing a body check and noticed a couple of skin issues I had not paid attention to. Very smooth, the front office staff is efficient and I was seen just a few minutes after my schedule appointment start time. I do like the self check-in kiosks of which there are several in the lobby. Dr. Tina arrived shortly after I was taken to an examination room, friendly and courteous, listened patiently as I described by recent for being in their clinic very satisfied with the service and highly recommend this office.

California Dermatology Care is easily one of the best, if not the best, dermatology offices I’ve ever visited. They have outstanding customer support, where you can quickly reach a staff member via text literally anytime. Once, I texted their office number past midnight (oops) asking for the soonest appointment AND they responded in 5 minutes scheduling me for the very next day on a Saturday! Also, they can conduct most visits virtually, which is extremely convenient. Shout out to PA Mary Katz, who has been awesome in supporting and addressing my dermatology needs over the last year. 🤗

California dermatology is awesome because of their staff. It is a busy practice and the best way to get in touch with them is to text, which I prefer actually. They typically reply back right away, and you can do All of your pre-appointment paperwork online. Once you’re in the office, everything is very smooth. Everyone is friendly and polite and they make sure you know what is happening and that you’re OK with the procedures, and if you need surgery, pain levels. With all that said, I give them five stars. I had a very poor experience with this place and found that they were more interested in selling expensive products and treatments than listening and taking care of the problem(s).I went through expensive and extensive treatment with them only to go to other dermatologists who told me that this place had diagnosed me with something I never had.After reflecting on all the other medications they gave me for other skin issues, I realized that none of them have been effective at treating my skin conditions, none of which are uncommon (ie: pigmentation, dry skin, dermatitis).I received much better care at Sutter for a similar or lesser price. The difference is that they listened and actually prescribed medication that worked.

I came yesterday for an appointment that I had. I was waiting in line to check in and there was two ladies behind me. The ladies behind me went ahead to the kiosk to check in as I waited patiently in line to get checked in. 15 minutes passed by and the ladies behind me get checked in before me by the receptionist as I am still waiting in line. Finally, the lady at the front desk ask me if I needed any help. This was extremely rude and unprofessional to me, I came early to my appointment, waited in line and got ignored. Worst office staff I have ever dealt with or encountered.My wife previously paid for my Mohs Surgery. It cost me $1750 for the surgery.We were never given a receipt for the Mohs surgery charge. So when I walk in the day of my surgery to check in.The girl is asking me for another $1750 again?? I told her it was already paid! Pushing me for another payment! I was ticked off!I was fuming that they had no record of this charge.Then I go in for my Mohs surgery. Dr Ting performs the surgery along with two other girls watching. A major HIPAA violation!So previously I had an appointment in the beginning to have some skin tags removed.This girl uses liquid nitrogen on my leg on a mole. Instead of paying attention to detail what it actually was??The mole turned beat red and infected. I had to go to Kaiser Permanente to a dermatologist. To find out you never freeze a mole ever! It has to be cut off or surgically removed.So before the Mohs surgery. I texted their office number asking the girl if they can remove the mole during the Mohs surgery.So she texts back indicating if I pay the $1750 up front immediately that they will do a courtesy to remove it during the Mohs Surgery. A courtesy???After I paid almost $600 for this treatment previously. I was soooo hot regarding this.So then this medical assistant comes in. I asked her are you going to remove the mole? Lost in the dark you need another surgery and was going to charge me to remove the mole??I was super peeved at their unorganized medical staff and office!Absolutely the #1 worst Dermatologists office I have ever been in or involved with! Do not do business with this place. They don’t protect patients confidential information.I will never step my foot back in that office again!

Do your skin cancer screenings yearly: they can save your life.I do think intake can be more efficient. I’m a returning patient and I had to enter the same insurance and medical info (which hasn’t changed) 3x during each of my yearly visits: you do this once on their website, then again at their self check-in kiosk, and then one more time with documentation you need to fill out on a clipboard (there are questions the kiosk can’t ask).Which, fine.But then the medical assistants will also ask you the nearly same exact questions that you just put down the clipboard (family history, why you’re there, any medications)…by the way if you got an appt through their website then you already listed your reason for visiting. This seems like a LOT of extra paperwork and it also makes me wonder how they reference their own records.For example, I’m a returning patient and I was surprised during my screening this time around that none of my info from previous appts (photos or notes or otherwise) was brought up as a follow up. Maybe that’s just the procedure? Even during a routine physical with a GP they often refer to past notes just to see if there’s anything else they should ask me while I’m there.They also have other teaching assistants show up during your appt and while I don’t mind someone training and helping out, it’s REALLY awkward (and frankly kinda embarrassing) to be in a gown with 2 other people aside from your doctor in a small room checking your body parts. Like…showing your skin - especially if you’ve got a condition - is just a vulnerable thing and can make you feel SO self-conscious in front of loved ones, let alone some strangers. I wish they could ask you permission ahead of time if you’re comfortable with that, but in all of my appointments these assistants are already in the room so it makes it extra awkward to ask if they could leave.I know all of the above sounds nitpicky, but I do think just some little tweaks in the experience can make a place that’s already good, great.

Really great care I got the Mira Dry procedure for the 2nd time I also got my first procedure done at this location it is literally life changing. While the procedure and recovery is painful they do their best to make you comfortable. Well worth it! Nurse was amazing this time and last time too. Id highly recommend them. Went to this clinic for the first time. It was also found online. I have rosacea on my skin and it is very painful to be tortured. When I went there was not Dr.ting treatment, I was not very satisfied, because I made an appointment with Dr.ting. Then, the doctor gave me tacrolimus, but I think my skin is actually not that bad, maybe I can’t use tacrolimus. I’m afraid that this ointment will make me dependent. So when I called Dr.ting, his assistant told me that tacrolimus can be used for 3 weeks. I still believe in Dr.ting in my heart, so I still used it, and my skin really improved, but I hope that there will be no problems after stopping tacrolimus, because this medicine cannot be used for a long time. I know that I am afraid of this ointment. I hope that under Dr.tings treatment, my skin can go back to the past.

I’ve been here before and Dr. Ting was able to properly treat my acne. Fast forward a couple years later I develop acne again and remember him being a good dermatologist so I go to schedule an appointment only to find he’s not available. That was a little disappointing but I hadn’t realized how many more clients they have now so it’s understand. I go to another doctor there and she seemed like she was in a rush and told me it would be better to treat my acne with oral medication since it was so inflamed. But I told her i’d prefer to not be on oral medication so she prescribed me topicals. On top of all that the people at the front desk seemed a little confused as well, the communication didn’t seem there. One of them seemed new so I was patient but I guess she didn’t end up properly checking me in so I waited an hour for appointment just to be sat down in the exam room for about 5 minutes.
