Great place to chill after a day on the mountain. Came here last year as well and will every time I visit. The area outside is really nice with fires, live music, and people watching. Food is great- had the Californian (delicious) with a side salad (good portion) and the hot Toddy (warm & yummy). Also close to Heavenly square and tons of shops/ things to do. Park at Safeway.

My wife and I ended up visiting here twice during our vacation visit. The cocktails were delicious! We really appreciated the great recommendation from our server. The new old fashioned was excellent! We thought the burgers and fries were excellent as well. During our return visit we had the sweet potato tots as our side. Im not sure I can pick a favorite. We enjoyed the atmosphere and live music outside as opposed to sitting indoors.

Food was good but prices were a bit surprising. It does make sense for the town though. The onion rings were definitely a good choice too. I loved the Ohana burger. It was a great mix of sweet and savory. They had live music outside when we were there which was cool. It was a nice way to enjoy the cute town we were in!

This was a warm stop for lunch on our way back home from Tahoe. I found this place while roaming around on Heavenly village.The food is fresh and mouth-watering.We got onions rings and inferno burger with a side of sweet potato tater tots.My mom and I loved the onion rings. They were hot, just what we needed after spending hrs in the cold outside 😅.For the inferno burger, I switched it up with chicken breast. The sweet and spicy flavors along with the cheesey chicken patty was really goooddd!!! Also loved the side of sweet potato tots :)We couldn’t finish all of it, so packed some tots and enjoyed on our drive back home as well.Would definitely recommend this place.

Feasted on some tasty burgers after a whole day on the slopes and California Burger Company hits the spot. The wait time was pretty long for our group of 6 people and the service was a bit slow seating us at our table and getting us settled. There are tons of burger options and the burgers were pretty good; cooked and seasoned well. The sidewinders were also very tasty, super crispy and paired well with the burger. I got the Bobs burger with the sidewinder fries in the picture attached.

This is a nice cozy place with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has fire pits near each table. The service took a while because the restaurant was crowded and it was a weekend during dinner time. The food was good.They have live music at times, which created a great vibe.

We kicked off our week at South Lake Tahoe and tradition would have it, it’s California Burger Company as a first stop. It’s a Sunday and we arrived here at about 6pm. Seating was prompt. Our server was great. She was tentative but not overwhelming. Took our order and was able to answer our questions. Very friendly. Food arrived within about 12 minutes or so. Consistent with past experience, the food is very tasty. Presentation is a 5/5. Taste is a 5/5. Service is a 5/5. Atmosphere is great… had a band playing so we enjoyed our meal to live music. Definitely a 5/5. Overall experience is a solid 5/5. If you’re in the area, definitely recommend stopping by here for lunch or dinner,. The price is a bit on the higher end for a burger (starts in the low $20’s). But you won’t be disappointed.

Burgers were good, but not great. Pricing was pretty steep for sizing of meal.On a separate note, they have an extensive whiskey collection. But the pricing is ABSURD. Ive literally never seen anything in the same ballpark. Photo attached as one page of reference 1.5oz pours. 🤯

Loved going here for the first time upon my first visit to South Lake Tahoe. The burgers were absolutely fulfilling, but what I’ll remember even more is this delicious chocolate peanut butter beer they served us! I never did figure out what the brand was. Might have been a limited thing, but it complimented so well with our burgers!

Ate lunch on a Friday about noon. Gorgeous day in Lake Tahoe so we sat outside. The summer crowds were just beginning on this June 16 day. There were umbrellas to keep the sun off us, while other customers were asking for the umbrellas to be lowered so they could soak the sun in. The waitstaff were very accommodating. My husband ordered The Blues Burger with Beer Battered Sidewinder Fries and a Double Chocolate Chip shake; I ordered a Plain Jane with Onion Rings (I was told they were less than 1/2 because Im not a fan of fat onion rings). The rings did end up being too large for my liking and our wait staff gladly switched them out for regular fries. It was all pretty tasty and satisfied or hunger. We didnt go into the restaurant so I cannot comment about that. All in all, the restaurant is situated in a very popular section of South Lake Tahoe, The Shops at Heavenly Village, and we would eat there again on a future trip to the area.

We sat outside next to the fireplace which we enjoyed while the sun was out. There was live music which was cool too.We ordered a few drinks and burgers, we all got the Californian with fries which was delicious. We also got some chicken wings which were crispy and juicy.Service was good, though it felt a bit slow but we were enjoying our time so it’s all good.

This is a solid place to get a bite to eat. Service is good and they were about to have live music outside. Definitely worth getting the sweet potato tots. Those were fantastic. You can sub a veggie patty or chicken foe any of their burgers for those that want something else they also have options for sandwiches and salad if your looking for something else. Would come back if I come back in town.

I ordered the Ohana burger and modified it a little bit, but it was very good! Downside was it was pretty difficult to eat without the bun crumbling. My friend ordered the beer battered cauliflower and loved it…she added Buffalo sauce to hers and it really elevated it. The location is awesome and service was great as well!

The food was decent. Staff was friendly, but overall, i feel the meal was way overpriced, even for the location. An 18% automatic gratuity for takeout felt like price gouging to me on an already (but expected) overpriced entree. I understand the reason for adding a gratuity charge to take out( people probably think its okay to not leave a tip when you should). But 18% IS NO DOUBT excessive and taking advantage of visitors and for that reason alone I would not visit again. Again, the staff was great, and they all deserve to be paid fairly for their hard work. Nearly $65 for only two burger meals(with fries), and no drinks? Sorry, never again

This place was amazing. It’s was a packed and cold MLK weekend and we asked for a table with our lab and they had one inside? What? With a 🐶 We were seated inside with great music and it was warm. The menu was crazy good and I order a California burger with any side and I picked onion rings, my wife picked tater tots. The burger was cooked perfectly for us and the drinks were great. The staff stopped by every few minutes and were really attentive. This is our new favorite place.

This is a small environment indoor. The decorations are nice but the wait on the weekday is about 20 minutes. Outside has heaters with no wait but dress warm.The medium wings are nice and spicy and the flavor was amazing despite my lips we’re buzzing afterwards.The burger was cooked to perfection!The service wasn’t that friendly getting the food to go.

The food was excellent, kinda stingy in the onion rings, I got 7 onions rings with my order and they werent big either, I should have gotten the fries instead, the place is awesome, the service was eh! took our order and we didnt get our drinks until 1 minute before our food was brought to us, and also the server forgot to put in my drink, so I just ordered a beer and that took a good 5-7 minutes to get, I should have just gotten my drinks at the bar instead, plus is wasnt that busy, I would say less than moderate(4 out 10 on being busy) but overall a good spot to get a burger, just a note theres no small burgers for kids on their menu, you will need to order a plain jane burger for your kid(s) if they want one and thats a $20 each.

The husband and I stopped on our way to Reno for lunch. I write a lot of reviews, and I dont understand some of the other reviews. The vibe is nice, I ordered a California Burger and asked for a lettuce wrap, which was supposed to come with a garlic aioli, and I asked for cheddar... none of which were on the burger. The fries were nothing special. To be fair, my husband liked his burger, and the restroom was clean... we will not be back!

Very disappointed with the whole experience with this company. Plus to take away the all you can eat fries makes it not worth the $52 for 2 veggie burgers. We only got maybe a couple fries and they messed up both orders. Plus no umbrellas were up on a hot and sunny day at 2pm, just a bunch of kids running the place outside and looking at their phones instead of serving the guests. The only thing that was good was the nice lady that cashed me out that was working behind the bar because she couldnt find my waiter.

Great environment! Live band, great weather this day and cute outdoor seating so our pup could join us. We had the California burger with sweet potato fries and a Cobb salad. Wonderful big portions. I was so happy! I’d give this a 5 star review but the only thing that bummed me out was the not so fresh looking avocados on the burger which I was really looking forward to :( love a good burger with avocados but it looked spotty and mushy and had to take them off to enjoy my burger. Other than that the service was great and bellies were satisfied. Would definitely go back!!

My family and I walked in excited to try their burgers as we have been recommended by multiple people. When we walked in around 9:25 PM. We noticed the chairs were already stacked on the left side of the restaurant and only 2 people sitting at the bar with the bartender. Once we asked if we could be sat down at a table the bartender said they were not serving anyone even when their hours were posted till 10:00 PM. There were no waitlist as there were only 2 customers inside the whole restaurant. Extremely disappointed as every single restaurant I’ve been to has served us until it is past their closing hours.

Got The Californian, it was pretty good. Loved that aoli/pesto combo. The patty was a little too pink for my liking, but I did miss the note on the menu that stated that was how they are served, so that was my bad. Pickle spears were good, but had a different taste that Im not normally used to. Not sure if it was the Chipotle ranch or the actual pickles itself. Overall, food was fairly good!

Be prepared to pay for the ultra rare stuff, but thats just how it is in the whisky world these days. Friendly staff too, our server gave us good tips on things to do locally.

First of all, many free place but they could not able to find a shadow place for us :) it was funny. Second, the Californian Burger in google is $15 but here in the menu is $19. I just ask the waitress why it’s different price she just said “no updated prices”. But if it is so they should very welcome to serve the Californian burger for us as in Google and than they would update the prices. But unfortunately they are not really customer oriented as I understood. Never mind, the burger is not tasty overall and not deserve the money I guess. Service is weak and not enough welcome. The corner place/location is nice just take a nap, rest and sight seeing, that’s all.

This restaurant and bar is a must while in Tahoe. It is lively, great music, and great burgers. It was recommended by a friend for the Ohana burger, and Im glad we went and got it. The wait time was long, but it was worth it. The place was packed every day we were there, so go early. Outdoor seating is available, and even though it is cold in winter, they keep it nice and warm.

Great stop for good food. The staff is young and on the move in this casual atmosphere. We sat inside as outside seating was full with a 20 minute wait. Great music (alternative/rock) is playing and there is an extensive menu for food and drinks. I had the Trois Fromage sandwich with a side order of Beer Battered Sidewinder Fries and it was absolutely delicious! Its grilled to perfection with 3 cheeses and then they add tomato slices, pesto and avocado. Just one bite and I was in heaven!

Both were delicious, but the pretender was definitely yummier. A side of curly fries with the garlic seasoning is amazing. This restaurant showed up as one of the top rated ones in South Lake Tahoe, so decided to check it out. Since I am a vegetarian, was a little skeptical about my options. But to my joy, they have options to replace the patty with veggie black bean patty. Its high in protein and extremely delicious.Staff was very friendly and helpful, they checked and confirmed that the burgers were eggless.We tried Caprese Burger and California Burger along with French Fries as a side dish. Came with onions, tomatoes, melted mozzarella cheese, avocado, basil and a couple of other delicious ingredients. Pretty fulfilling experience!You can park in the shopping complex opposite to this restaurant and walk up here. Place is always crowded.I wonder why they use such tall glasses for serving water (and that too icy water) ! If somebody wishes to just have a few sips, the rest of it will go waste. Hope that policy changes. 😇

The walk from the parking garage to their location wasnt too bad.The wait to be seated wasnt long, we had a choice between indoors or out & my party of 6 chose whichever was quicker which was outdoor.It was of course cold but they had outdoor heaters.Service was great, they accidentally messed up on our kids fries but fixed the issue quickly.The wings were HELLA bombUs 4 adults finished our meals, again service was great & kept our drinks filled tooAlso we checked in & got our free decalsUsed their restrooms & it was clean, only two inside so a line kind of forms.

Edit: came back here again and I was happy to see the new veggie wrap option. Pretty healthy, light weight and great breakfast food! This time tried the side of tomato soup which was pretty decent.Absolutely loved the side of nicely sauteed garlicky summer squash. The veggie burger was good too but seemed to lack originality in terms of sauces. The pattie seemed to be the black bean one you get at Costco, not that thats a bad thing but its something I can easily make it at home too.It would have been nice to see some more vegetarian options on the menu.

$151 for seven meals drinks and gratuity included, so not so bad. You can either choose to sit inside or outside. Just be aware that if you prefer to eat inside, the wait will be longer. Despite the fact that it was busy on a Saturday early afternoon, we got service pretty quick. We placed our orders and we got our food rather quickly. I ordered the Caprese Burger medium with a side of curly fries. The Caprese Burger contains some fresh basil and sweet balsamic which was totally different. I got the Tiramisu (it’s a hot drink which basically tastes like tiramisu and is vodka based) highly recommend it! I also got the The Fromage a Trois with the buttermilk fries. DELICIOUS. It’s a definite must try dish here. I love avocados, bacon, pesto and cream cheese. Stopped here for a quick lunch last month while shopping and found a table outside, which was perfect. Staff was attentive and timely. I had the caprese salad which was fresh and amazing, I mean, the tomatoes couldnt have been any more succulent if Martha Stewart had delivered them herself. This place is great for a quick bite or sitting down and having a drink with friends or even going on a date.The options however are a bit lacking especially for people with dietary restrictions.The veggie patty has egg in it, and the only other suitable items for vegans were the fries and the salad. Theres probably a soup on occasion thats also vegan but I cant say for sure.There is also a menu item which is a bit insulting called the Pretender. Directly implying that a veggie burger isnt a real burger, and no it is not vegan friendly. Not too many open spots, but enough to comfortably choose.The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and quick to help us get fries and drinks going despite us not being able to eat much.The facility itself was also clean and charming. Definitely a good ambiance for a ski town and the Heavenly Village.Prices were as you would expect from any Stateline area restaurant. Not cheap, but in line with what is being charged elsewhere.The fries were good enough and the drinks were made well, the service was great and the atmosphere was excellent.If you dont have dietary restrictions the California Burger Company would be a great option for your next dining experience.Lastly, parking is not too much of a hassle as there are a number of free and paid parking options within a very short walking distance.

Told us it was a 45 minute wait but a big group cleared out and they seated us within about 10 minutes. Theres a great little coffee shop right next door and theres actually a doorway that leads between the two places because they share the same liquor license. We were first put at a table directly beside the live musician and the bass was too loud for us to talk (we were a group of 8). We asked to move a little farther away and the staff gladly moved us. Additionally, before we started ordering we asked for 4 checks (4 couples) and the waiter was fine with it. They did add 18% service/tip for the large group but we were OK with that. The food was excellent, particularly the burgers as youd expect. The drinks were also well done although their prices were high but fitting for this tourist/ski town. As I said, we would return if ever in town again.

Great little spot we visited while on vacation, suggested by friends. My husband had the California burger and I had the grilled cheese. Both delicious. The curly fries with garlic were amazing. Quick service. Nice atmosphere

Great food, great beer and great people. Actually blown away at how good the service was- I accidentally left my sunglasses at the table and left town the next day. I called in two days later and Niela (I believe was her name) went and found them and actually shipped them back to me completely for free. So pleased with my experience while I was there and even multiple states away. Thanks so much!! I will absolutely be coming back next time I’m in Tahoe.

Staff is super friendly and are constantly making sure you’re properly attended. Ambiance was great and we even had live music. Burgers were delicious. Wings were 10/10. Definitely will return on our future Tahoe visits.

The food is pretty good and my personal waitress was good. This particular day, a staff member (not my waitress) inserted themselves into my conversation with my spouse and then proceeded to purposefully embarrass me (asked me if I could READ and pointed to a sign for the restroom... I was trying to tell my husband I was headed to the restroom). It was clearly intentional and loud. Im not sure if they assumed because Im a tourist it wouldnt matter, or if they took their bad day out on me for whatever reason. I didnt Karen/complain, just smiled and left to the restroom. We still ate, tipped the waitress, and left. If it was a one off experience the food is worth it try, but Ill not go back.

Burgers were good but not worth the amount they were listed for.The restaurant closes to go orders for the day 3 hours before close time, what a weird rule to have. We walked in at 7 pm and they told us we closed to go orders like an hour ago, but the restaurant was open for dine-in until 9 pm (maybe a gimmick to make the restaurant look full).Highly inconsiderate of infants/kids, asked to be moved inside given the weather, we weren’t even though there were a few tables available.

Good selection of whiskey. Live music was nice, but overly loud to the point it was impossible to have a conversation. Burgers were good on flavor but overloaded, saucy, and difficult to eat. Service was ok, had to ask several times to get a glass of water to go with the burger and whiskey.Food came out extremely staggered - almost ten minutes between first two and last plate. Got rushed out as well, with the check arriving basically as soon as the food was mostly gone.Probably better when its less busy.

I had a meatball sub and it filled me up. Also it came with onion rings that were fantastic! They have all the alcohol choices that will satisfy your thirst! They have seating inside and outside. One thing I thought was special was if you ordered a whiskey type drink, the bartender had to climb the wall, (which was behind the bar), to retrieve the bottle to pour my drink! I would visit here again!

For a $24 bacon and barbeque burger I must say I was highly disappointed, and would recommend everyone visit Sno-flake drive in for a 8.95 bbq/bacon burger instead! Same outdoor atmosphere without the overpriced tourist food. Do better. Service was great atmosphere was great but come on that burger was highway robbery.in response... it takes more than 100% USDA black angus natural grass fed and hormone free beef to make a decent burger. Sounds nice though. As a local, Ill continue to avoid the village.
