I like this place. Came here with some friends and instantly thought, This is it, one of the rumored 3rd places to hang and chill. I had a good time here one evening with friends as the vibe felt very cozy. People were gaming, studying, socializing, and we were boardgaming. Given the opportunity, I would come here anytime I want to hang in person with friends.You do have to make a purchase to stay here but I thought it was fine for the time I spent here.

This place is great for a late-night place to study and hang out with friends - its also pretty close to my house and its somewhere that I feel like Id come more often. I havent tried out the gaming PCs but its on my list to try them out sometime. The boba and food here arent revolutionary, but they are decent and cheaper than other places Ive seen with similar food choices.The vibe here is very cute and lofi music plays in the background. Very much a gamer place to be.

I have been playing games here since high school. Calibear has a lot of memories for me. Everyone who participated in the League of Legends game was so young at that time. I haven’t been here since the epidemic began. I’m glad that Calibear is still here, and the service is as good as ever, A lot of snacks and drinks have been added, the software has been upgraded more perfect, online ordering and reservations are already available, it’s awesome to see it develop so well. In the future, I will bring new friends to visit often and introduce it to more people. There is such a good place here for everyone to relax and entertain

My favorite café place. You can enjoy the high speed game here with snacks and milk tea. The staff are very friendly. They sanitize the table and chair every shift. I feel very safe and warm here. highly recommended!

The vibes in here are so fun but just ordering milk tea takes about 20 minutes for us 😭. It’s a little more on the expensive side too but it’s tastes are immaculate. Plus, to make up for the boba, the game time are very cheap ($5 for an hr OR $8/hr for a private room).

The emphasis is definitely on cyberover cafe, with most of the space devoted to gaming computers. There are only six tables for non-gamers that are far from cosy, with hard chairs, whereas the gamers get big comfortable arm chairs. Rates for computer use start at six dollars per hour with discounts for buying blocks of hours. You can become a member to use the VIP area, which is actually quite small, and I couldnt really see any difference from the general use area...maybe better computers, or perhaps good for shall groups of friends who want a private party space. Theres a normal selection of teas and food treats with typical pricing. Credit cards are accepted, although they charge fifty cents extra for amounts under ten dollars...Hmm, dont the banks enforce merchant agreements that prohibit extra charges for using credit cards? At least they did when I was a retailer. Anyway, in summary, Calibear is a fine place for computer games, but look elsewhere if you want a comfy cozy place to just chill.

This place has it all ...variety of freshly made bubble tea, food, snacks, and internet access and gaming. Theres about 40 high speed PC running on fiber connection with the ability to play CS-Go, league of legends, overwatch, DotA ...etc and they also have two private rooms. I believe they will host tounaments in the future and you can bring in consoles to hook up to play. The place is nice and clean with plenty of room.They have over a dozen of bubble tea selections and the employees here are friendly and makes you feel at home. Plenty of parking makes this place a 5 *****

We’ve had a good team event over there with a lot of good feedbacks. I also brought my friends here too. It’s a really good place for either casual or professional event. It offers various options for different people, we can easily break out to small groups for like Majiang, board games, pool, video games, etc. Didn’t try the milk tea over there, but will have to try it next time. Will definitely come back.

I am a regular customer of Calibear and I like their decoration style. Every wall is so thoughtful. Very clean and tidy, with innovative drinks. My favorite recently launched new product is lime explosion. It tastes really good. My favorite food is curry chicken rice and fried chicken wings. For games, I recommend: billiards and board games. They opened until At one oclock in the morning, its perfect for gathering with friends. Its also suitable for birthday parties.

Great spotReally great place for some late night studying. Wifi is fast, there are plenty of outlets to charge your electronics.Nice, relaxed ambience that i really enjoy. I went on a Sunday night, a few other groups studying as well when i got here. There were a few people playing video games on the computers but it wasn’t too loud (on Sunday night when i went). I specially read the bad reviews to experience it, haha the store is very bright, the music is very soft, I ordered a cup of mango milk tea, and their milk tea has mango pulp. Interestingly, there is a note posted on each seat, Each seat is reserved for “customer with purchase” only. I only found out after asking the clerk. People often use this place as a library or study room and don’t want to buy anything. I just want to use the toilet and the comfortable sofa here. 5 people each bring a computer to play, and then dont buy anything, 5 people occupy the position of 8 people. I cant imagine how bad it is for a person who can sit steadily for hours without spending money in a restaurant. If you are so poor, you should stay at home. Why go to a consumption place to be ashamed? so sad

This place is wonderful! I come here nearly everyday and the employees never fail to make me smile. The owner is so sweet and ensures her employees are top notch. They make boba better than any other boba place I know. The environment is comfortable and homey! As a girl it is hard to feel safe at night but Calibear is the safest place and I can always stay here without fear. They are open until 1 am so it is perfect for studying or gaming late at night. Overall amazing place 10/10 recommend!

I have to say that the owner of this store is really conscientious. The placement of the computers allows me spacing and not feel cramp like some other cyber cafes Ive been to. Pricing is very affordable as the recharging a membership is equivalent to 3 yuan an hour. I have been online here for a month and my rate is equivalent to half price. As for the environment, it is good and safe. I feel very secure when I leave here as there are security guards with guns at night. Needless to say, I will come here often and during my time off.

There are strange small groups gathering here, it is very noisy, it looks like they are high school students, the staff will remind them and they will be rudely threatened, they have to write bad reviews on google, terrible high school students, as the most loyal guest of calibear, I I must write a good review. The environment here is very good, the food is fresh, you can eat and play, the opening time is very long, it is open all year round, and the service is first-class. I support such a good business.

I absolutely recommend this business to anyone seeking a calm, zen, place to work on school assignments or other stuff.They have desktops that are rented out to those that enjoy PC gaming. Internet speed is better than Starbucks. Drinks are a reasonable price. Owners are awesome! I love this place!The only thing I would say is a recent negative is the same loud teenagers that come in the late afternoon’s. They laugh loud and make a decent amount of noice to where even with my noise cancelling $400 headphones on I can still hear them talking and being loud. I don’t want to tell them anything though since they are minors.

Me and some friends went together and bought 1 hour of playtime, with some of us buying milk tea as a refreshment. For a more accurate breakdown, Ill separate it into two respective categories: Milk Tea and the PC cafe experience.For the PC Cafe experience, it was severely underwhelming and was well under expectations for a PC Cafe. For reference, we were playing Valorant: not the most intensive game by any means. What we found were that the PCs were inconsistent for each user. The general set-up felt weird, outgoing and income audio was exceptionally quiet, and the PCs were laggy/stuttering. One PC in particular had some sort of latency issue where my friend was essentially playing 1 second in the past. It wasnt super expensive, but definitely not the experience we were expecting or hoping for.For the milk tea, I personally think that it was actually pretty good. It will be on the sweeter end for some, but it was the overall highlight and is the reason why my score isnt lower.

TLDR: just get boba literally anywhere else and go the library for Wi-Fi. An occasion where rudeness does not equal better tasting / more authentic Asian food/ drink.Extremely subpar drinks—the recommended rose milk tea with 25% sugar tastes like downing a shot of syrup. And it costs more than what a drink at other much better places (truedan, sunright, mr.sun, jell and chill—and the list goes on) cost, and doesn’t have the service chain shops have (even Starbucks will remake a drink if it’s horrible). The wait staff is unfriendly, and you are made to order at the front for dine in vs takeout—but the non-PC rental seats are limited, so if there are none available, you just stand there after ordering an overpriced mediocre drink. Last time my friend and I went, about 8-10 seats were taken by the cafe staff and we were told to move from the PC-rental seats even though a vast majority were empty. In a place as competitive as the Bay Area for food, I’m fascinated that this place continues to exist.

I actually dont think I have a single complaint about this place. Its open until 1 am weekdays, and until 3 am weekends, which is great because theres a short supply of chill late night hang out spots for insomniacs such as myself. The decor is weird, but cute.. or cute in a weird way. Its themed around video game and anime references, mostly. This place puts nerd culture on display to an extent, but maintains a casual, low-key vibe. The employees are courteous and get the orders out quickly. The honey boba and milk tea are pretty delicious, and theres a decent selection of flavors (not as extensive as places that serve food and drinks as the main focus, but for a cyber café its more than enough). I usually come here very late at night, around midnight after work, and while its never crowded, its never empty either. The setup is decently spacious and comfortable with nice lighting. I like it here.

Good selection of food and drinks (the boba was delicious, and the matcha crepe cake was good as well). The hardware is nice. Blue switches on the keyboards and huge mousepads. The monitors were modern and well sized, and the computers had GTX 1070(?). Overall, the decor was cute and not dark and dank as many other internet cafes are. It was a nice place to spend a few hours and the prices were very reasonable.

Such a fun place, I loved it and will be going back often. The computer connection was great, i didnt experience any lag during my games. The wifi was over 120Mbps up and down. The computer I used had an i5/GTX1060 setup with a curved screen, razer mech keyboard and gaming mouse, which was just fine for what I was doing. The station also had a wet wipe and earphone covers for sanitary purposes. I will be getting a membership next time I go. Lets support awesome small businesses like this one.

Disclaimer: I want this place to change and grow, which is why Im going to be as honest as possible.The boba and food is very subpar. Do they even taste their own milk tea? Are they really happy serving that to people? I got the strawberry milk tea, which tasted very water-y.They dont provide easy access to many games. The free-to-play games always have updates that need to be installed or have problems launching which take a lot of time that I paid for. They dont seem to quality check on the gaming experience for the free games at least.The biggest issue is the whole concept of their business model. You need to have a paid gaming account (Overwatch, PUBG, etc) and a steam account to play a few popular, paid games. Customers that have those, usually have gaming laptops already, including me. Why would someone who already pays to game and has the gaming accounts and would consequently have their own gaming setup, come to the gaming cafe and pay to use the hardware that is barely setup compared to our own setups?My experience? I came once, saw that their gaming setup is more limiting than using my own gaming laptop and Im paying for the time thats mostly wasted. Never came back.Last minor grip, the chairs and tables look like theyre from the 90s. Its a GAMING cafe. Why isnt the place full of bean bags, carpets, and modern tables with charging ports on the tables? I would definitely go and hang out with my laptop on the tables at least if they put in the effort.

Having good quality is one thing, but consistency is the key.The staff is always friendly, and the vibe is positive. It can get a bit rowdy when the gamers are in full force (typically on weekends), but for the most part, its pretty chill.If I could make one suggestion, it would be to offer some sort of frequent buyer incentives (Five Stars/stamp cards, etc.) Drink prices are slightly on the high side, but thats understandable because of the overhead, so any assitional perks would be beneficial.

Great cyber cafe with good food options. The equipment was clean and ran fast. I spoke English, and had no issues at all, the staff speaks English. The owner was very friendly and walked me and my friend thru the basics of PUBG, which they have 4 accounts you can use on a first come basis. I will definitely come back to Calibear.

Late night boba/snacks and cyber cafeHonestly, the decor doesnt match the cyber cafe at all. Usually, its dim to counter the screen lightly kg, but here, its like they finished making a quaint cafe before they suddenly decided to turn the other half into an Internet cafe.This and the nearby KTV are the only choices for late night boba. Not bad, given the limit in choices. They also serve crepe cakes and simple fried foods. Can definitely see why its appealing to the cyber cafe patrons.Small things to note, dont mind the angry yelling between Korean and Chinese customers, thats just the nature of League of Legends.

They use coffemate as mixture. Definitely not worth the price. When I got there at midnight on a Thursday night they already run out of boba, Jasmine Tea, Oolong Tea, and Earl Gary Tea. Only thing they had was powder drinks, mainly from the coffemate, and Black Tea. Even their CaliBear milk tea, which is regular milk tea, you cant even taste the Black Tea. Very disappointing first time. At least there is a PC BANG in San Jose.
