I love these guys here at the store. They do a wonderful job here and judy who owns the store which Im gonna call her mama judy is the goat. She knows her stuff and wouldnt let a product that doesnt work leave her store until its fixed. Definitely have my business in the long run

Hey my is name Andres I used to shop a lot at GameStop. Sometimes I used to spend up to $2000 at one point at GameStop but I’m gonna say honestly this store has better customer service the quality of products they have I honestly the staff are real friendly are great. I believe the Asian ladies the owner I’m not too sure she’s really good customer service I become a fan of this store. You know that they also fix your video game systems at the store. this is one of those mom and Pop stores that, you really have to check out I’ve been telling my friends about Cali games, family members to stop shopping again stop so much and check out Cali games a little bit more. I had a bad experience at GameStop and you know they lied to me and since I just been shopping at Cali games now and my experience has been great. Each time I go visit them I love collecting physical games I’m a big gamer gamer 4life they got everything from the Atari all the way through the PlayStation five they also offer a lot of collectibles that he can buy

Cali games is top notch when it comes to video games and consoles. They have the best store with all the figurines and things you want to give your room that gamer vibe. Do not go to GameStop because they will overcharge you and take your money!! Judy has been there for years and I hope for more years to come. Did mention they have a phone repair shop in store too. I recommend you come here for game needs.

I was absolutely floored by this hidden gem of a store! Its absolutely filled with games for practically every system, along with plenty of gaming merchandise, like plushes and figures. Moreover, the prices here are very fair. The owner and employee who helped me were both exceptionally kind. Its obvious that the people who work here care deeply about fostering a sense of community for gamers in the area. I cannot recommend this store enough!

I went in here because my brother wanted to go and I cant praise this place enough. They have a great collection of games, some rare, some hard to find, the prices are fair and they offer a layaway plan. I found a few games that I want and will go back to get them. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they will ask you to read the store policy, I recommend you read the return policy. I went back the same day a few hours later and bought a game I regretted not buying the first time around.

This place has always been a trash experience for years since a kid . Yeah they have a plethora of games imo the condition of the systems don’t match the price she charges. Judy the owner might as well give up the buy back option as it benefits NO ONE but her it’s only gotten worse over the years . If youre looking to get rid of old games for new ones I guarantee that GameStop would be the better option . Death to mom and pop shops

For a video game store, especially one that deals in retro gaming, it was too confusing and headache inducing with how it was organized. Each system had its own respective areas, yet there was varying degrees of label slapping and disorganization that made it very difficult to search for anything on the shelves. The display cabinets were just as bad but they showcase their Hot Titles or Rare finds easily. Those are another problem. While a hood portion of their rare games where indeed very sought after, they are overpriced by at least 30% above market value. Some where overpriced even higher! I saw A copy of Valerie Profile in their case for $360. Thats $100 over the 3rd party CiB market value if you know how to do your research. If youre a collector another thing i found interesting is the usage of reprinted cover art, cheap replacment cases and sun-bleached cover art.For those that this doesnt bother, its a great place to find a variety of games as long as you have patience to look in each section.

Cali Games is one of the best gaming stores Ive gone to so far. They have a great selection of titles from PS1 ranging all the way the PS5. Primarily any game you want they have collected items they have. They allow trade-ins and I was able to get a new PS3 controller for about 18 of my games. They allow store credit only and thats perfectly fine by me. Id highly recommend you go check them out!

This place is amazing! They have everything you can think of as far as video games and more. I recently found my childhood gameboy color and went to them to get some of my old game cartridges fixed. They also changed out my scratched screen for a brand new one. They fixed everything quickly and with great pricing. I will continue using them for all my video game needs.

When I was around 11, me, my mom, brother, step dad, and step sister went there to pick out a game. They had tons of classic games, and it was like a retro game paradise. I picked out Crash Nitro Kart for my PS2, because I enjoy racing games sometimes. Its a great place, to find all your childhood memories. ❤️

I went yesterday to purchase a game and inquire about preordering a game for the PlayStation 5. When asked what game it was I was told in a very condescending/rude way that they won’t being doing preorders for that game because they don’t sell. I understand the reason and totally understand just didn’t appreciate the tone and rudeness that was use towards my question by who I know now is actually the owner. Also I heard how she spoke to the person in front of me (very rude and almost demanding what he was waiting in line for) and was taken back by her tone. Definitely not going back and recommend to other people to go somewhere else.

When I was a kid this place was amazing, Judy and the team she had at the time where really really cool and friendly and helpful, recently the team she has now is pretty bad, the prices for certain things are ???? To me it’s lost the roots and it’s touch when it comes to a gamers perspective. I tried selling a game and was told that because of a scratch they couldn’t take it but the game was clean, the game has been in my PS5 for the majority of the time I’ve had it. They had GameCube controllers for 60 dollars used that were all pretty scratched up and in bad condition. The guys working were busy chit chatting and laughing while I stood there for one of them to assist me. I never like doing business and always am in support of local businesses but Cali games has lost its way.

My experience here was terrible. Three days ago I came in to sell my Nintendo Switch Lite. I wasnt told that there were any issues with it, and the employee gave me a quote of $80 cash or $96 credit for the console. He then told me if I had the charger, it would be another $10 cash or $12 credit. I didnt have my charger with me, so I told them I would come back in the following days with it. I also purchased other products. Last night, I went in with my Switch Lite and my charger. The employee I had spoke was leaving as I walked in, so I went to speak with someone else. She told me that they pay $40-60 dollars for the Switch Lite, and that with the charger it would be an extra $10. She also noted that there was an issue with the joy cons, which also had not been brought to my attention prior. I explained to her what I had been told the prior, and she started raising her voice at me in disbelief. I then told her that the employee who had told me those prices had just left, so she called him and he confirmed that he told me those prices. After further discussion, she told me she would buy the console and the charger together from me for $96. I declined because I did not appreciate how they didnt honor the prices they told me, and also because of the way the women was speaking to me. She was being rude and petty, telling me continuously that the employee never actually confirmed the prices I had been told as though I were to blame (despite the fact that he would have bought my console at the price he told me if i had agreed to it that night), and seemingly took out her frustration towards her employee on me instead. When we left, the person who I went to the shop with told me that the woman who spoke to me was actually an owner, and for that reason I will not be supporting this business any longer.

Great place to go for video games from old to new! This has been the top place to get video games for my Wii for over 10 years. If you want video games for a good price this is a place for you. Also the employees were very nice and even showed us how clean the video game discs were.

If you are into console games new or old. This is the place to shop. I dont know of anyplace within 20 miles that has as many games or peripherals. They accept games and hardware for store credit so your not stuck with older games you dont want to keep. The owner of the store is hard working extremely friendly and knows her inventory well. Her employees are capable and friendly as well. Excellent prices with options for new and used. They can repair scratched games. In all well worth a visit if you like your gaming as much as I do.

I took a drive there and was surprised how much games they have and they have all kinds of systems, games, controllers, game case you would have to see all their stock. The staff is super helpful and nice. They will help you out with what you need. They also have a repair shop call them up and ask what they can fix.

Favorite local repair shop. Sherman is extremely knowledgeable and is not rude about it. In fact he is nice to a fault. If he helps you with a minor repair..TIP him even though he wont take it. Just leave it on the counter in front of him and walk away. This works best for me. Thanks Sherman.

The experience was a little weird. Understaffed for sure. I started with a gentleman who kept walking away, preoccupied with answering phone calls. The owner was wishy washy with me. She is very suspiciousi it seems. I was very uncomfortable dealing with her. The gentleman, who was the only person helping customers, was very nice but it was clear that he was overwhelmed with the phone. The owner, I think, finally started helping on the floor after 20 minutes of my arrival.

Sent in my 3DS for repairs. They cleaned it but gave it back in worse condition and still charged me full price. I get they cleaned it but I was told if they couldnt fix it, Id only pay a service fee and it came back worse and we still had to pay the full price. Better off spending a bit more elsewhere.

Massive collection of used games thats worth a visit from any gamer. Lots of used consoles and accessories that are sure to be a good find for people who are looking. I was mainly looking for Japanese import games which they didnt have but the staff are friendly and the selection is massive for regular games so I stayed a while and walked the aisles.If youre looking for any used games, this is probably the biggest place Ive been to recently.

The last good family owned video game shop in the city. Ive been coming here for over 12 years and from the trading cards that Id get to the newest video games that beat GameStops stupid prices Ive never had a bad experience here. Cali Games stands the test of time and business. A real gem. Course you might have to wait a long time if someone walks in trying to get rid of 20+ games and they need to be cleaned. Be prepared to wait a couple of hours if that happens.

Normally, I love coming to CaliGames. Great service, good selections, and awesome CD-cleaning service. I called to see if they had Pokemon HeartGold, and theyre selling it for $130??? Highway. ROBBERY. Yes its a pandemic & I understand Nintendo discontinued making the older games, but that is 3 TIMES the original selling price from when it was released for $39.99. Dont think just because Gamestops stores have closed that you can pull some asinine stunt like this. Cali Games 🎮 never disappoints! Staff provide friendly authentic quality customer service, especially from Judy and Daniel, they are the experts of the gaming life. I came in today to find a good headset for my first generation Xbox system that wasnt super pricey nor on the cheap quality side and Daniel knew exactly what I needed. He even knew which piece I needed that my Xbox controller didnt come with and that was an adapter for my headset because first generation Xbox controllers dont have a headset port(Which I absolutely wasnt aware of smh!) This quality customer service experience just further confirms that I will remain loyal and faithful to Cali Games forever and never go into a retail store like Target to buy anything for my gaming needs because I had to return a headset that a staff from Targets electronics Dept sold to me and they swore they gave me the correct headset but it turned out not to be the wrong one 😒😑

Worst experience as far as customer support, keeping the client informed and technical ability. We explain our situation and were informed that they were capable of handling the repair. Was informed they fixed it after a week longer then expected after calling them as they provided no communication. Came to pick up the Xbox and it was not working. Said they would try again and failed. Thet were incompetent and ruined our Xbox. Would not recommend.

The place is very good but every time I get a controller from there the like the ps4 controller the buttons don’t feel right there either to hard to push or the joystick feels weird and I got a Xbox controller and the b button was lower than the others I’d rather go to Best Buy or another big place because it’s better I would think it would be cheaper cause the controllers are worse but there not so ima go to Best Buy or target to get a controller but other that the place is very good and has many things other stores doesn’t.

Price gouging on all console and newer games. A 60 dollar game is now 70 and the nitendo switches they have always had stock on and now want 400.00 for a switch lite 600 for a swtich console thats is way more then a 10% mark up plus they are supose To be shut down in the state of California consider they are a non essential business.

Went to buy a ps3 control they had one for 9 bucks I was like heck yeah so I asked the old lady there hey can I get that ps3 control she looked at me weird and said that control is no good you should buy the one for $25 or the one for $50 I was like why would you say your own products suck any way I asked her if she had a ps3 control with the wire she said you dont want those they dont work (holy crap lady does anything work) the control was 7 bucks I got and it works great its a really cool store its just that damm she was trying to up sell me on everything I asked for a candy bar and she was all like king size right man give me a break I just want what I want without your input
