What a great Cafe. They have coffee, sandwiches, beer, wine, smoothies, and more. A great place to hang out with friends. They have something for everyone. Staff is friendly and fast. Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area.

Ive been a customer since 2003 through multiple owners and have spent a lot of money here because of the service and product. I am not sure if the coffee product changed, but I stopped buying a basic cup as it didnt taste as good. Ive purchased hundreds of sugar free blended, made only with espresso and last weekend the young man that made mine just did the mix and ice, and I asked if he had used espresso. I will give them another try, but I will stop being a consumer if it doesnt improve. Buy good coffee and make it like the consumer requests. Heck, at this point I would have to travel to Cafe Calabria or settle for lousy Starbucks.

I’ve been a regular over the years as I love studying here from time to time. But I don’t know what has happened recently that their coffee taste weak and/or the coffee bean is burnt. The owner needs to start paying attention with customer service as it starts lacking as the employees doesn’t seem motivated to work here. I’ve been noticing new employees every time I come through. Overall a good vibe to come to the shop to study or catch up with some work.

Awesome coffee shop with a lot of food and coffee (plus beer and wine!) options. It was busy when I went so the wait for my coffee was average for a busy time. Service was otherwise good. The vibe was nice, too. The frosted mint mocha is super good especially if you like mint.

Love this place! Its an open cafe with plenty of seating for people actually eating, or doing work. Very healthy menu with smoothies, sandwiches, salads.The sandwiches are pretty big, my mom and I wished we would have split one and the smoothie we got! We got the Tuna, and the Eggplant sandwich and the large berry smoothie

I wish it was closer to home! It has a nice atmosphere. My drinks and sandwich were overall great! The pumpkin Chai iced coffee tasted like Autumn. A very special drink! I recommend it! The only reason why I didnt give five stars is because the sandwich chicken breast was not the best piece, it was hard to chew. ^^;; I will come back and give it another try. I had a good experince.

Clean and trendy atmosphere. The ice blend mocha is a bit bland. Altogether I ordered the ice blend mocha, hot mocha, and smoothie. They came out to be almost $18. I thought this was very pricey considering the better quality of drinks at Starbucks or Jamba Juice.If you are looking for a trendy place to hang out, then I would recommend this place. Else, the alternative is less expensive at Starbucks or Jamba Juice.

Their coffee quality has suffered over the years and so has their service, less so, but still noticeable. Im actually a regular here, but thats because the South Bay lacks coffee joints that are open on consistent times. They do have a slightly larger variety of sugar free options, which is nice if you are trying to cut back on the sugar. The atmosphere of the place has shifted to a more business, fresa, type of joint. They recently made a deal with Atitude Brewing, which I think is a bad move given their bad-rep in the Chicano community. They have a great eggplant sandwich...still.

It is actually a very nice and clean place. Went really early in the morning so seating was no problem. Wish the service was good. Both employees looked like they did not want to be there. Took about 3 min of standing in the register for one of them to help after they where done talking to some of their friends that where asking for a refill. Both seemed in a bad mood and in no hurry to help. I work in customer service and sad to see employees like these that have no desire to help or work. Expresso was a bit weak and when i asked for cream or sugar she just pointed to the corner. Probably not coming back.

Regular coffee is self serve, and the coffee came out lukewarm. We asked if they can give us hot coffee so they took the lukewarm coffee and steamed it. We also ordered two Polar Bears and both were too sweet that we couldnt drink them. We went home and added straight coffee to them. Months later we came back to see if they have improved. The turkey sandwich was good, they serve it with a pickle slice. I got a latte and it was mediocre, not much taste to it, like it was watered down. We frequent cafés so maybe we are used to more seasoned baristas that provide better quality.

They are there but would t open the door, finally they open the door at 7:10 and say today my co worker is running late. I went in for a simple coffee and a bagel with cream cheese. When I got to the place to order I asked for their Milky Way Mocha. The cashier asked how I would like my coffee. When I asked which one people usually like the drink, she looked like I had just assigned her a science project! She looked like she was starting to panic! When she hasnt responded, I asked if she had ever had the drink. That didnt help, so I just said Ill take it hot. She mumbled something about it comes blended or hot. I just said that hot is fine and then ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It cost $8.96. The whole looked like they had never worked at a coffee shop. The coffee came, but that was it. I figured the bagel with cream cheese should be up soon. It doesnt take long to make. But it didnt. They were seemingly so busy even though not a whole lot of people were there. After ten minutes I knew that they just forgot my bagel and decided to just go with a refund. So I approached the cashier and thankfully it a different one. But my luck held true and she had no idea what to do. After several minutes of several workers tried to figure out what to do, one of them started actually processing my refund. Of course, suddenly the bagel magically appeared but at that point I didnt care. I told them my order and it was now right in front of me. They said that I should just keep the coffee and bagel but I told them I no longer wanted it. They almost insisted that I take it, but finally I said that I dont care and Im not taking it. I just wanted a REFUND! And with every bit of my order in front of them, I was only given a refund of $6.45!!! They told me to have a nice day and I asked for the receipt. Again, they were baffled! I repeated that I wanted my receipt and finally they understood and gave it to me! My payment to them posted IMMEDIATELY on my bank account, but still no refund is showing up. These people were shockingly incompetent!

After taking a look at their menu, I knew I needed to try them out. I had a delicious raspberry truffle drink and my friend had some kind a chai drink. Original flavors, a bit sweet as far as the raspberry truffle went, but I dont regret stepping out of my comfort zone. I visited on a Friday night, and sat on the entrance couch for a good 2 hours. It turned out to be a good spot, the place was filled but not too loud. Give it a try!

The service is really great. if you ever need to study or get work done the atmosphere is great to do it here. The drinks are awesome too. if you ever have a chance to visit i suggest trying out one of their cold drinks, polar bear. I usually come here to finish or study work. Love this place. You stand having your coffee at the bar. The coffee quality is fantastic and it’s great value - 90 cents for an espresso, 1.10 euro for a cappuccino. They’re very quick as well. Extremely busy on the weekends and in the mornings so stop by on a weekday afternoon for a more quiet and less chaotic experience!!

Very nice place with a good selection of custom made coffees and blends We particularly liked the Polar Beer a delicious combination of white chocolate, espresso and Irish cream syrup. The baristas are very nice and accommodating. Definitely a place to hang out and relax. They also have a good selection of pastries to accompany your beverage. If I could change something would be the lighting as it comes right on your face while you seat in the comfortable couches in the dinning room. Over all a great place to be.

The smoked turkey sandwich was excellent and my Frappuccino espresso was strong. What I really like about this place was that it has a decent selection of micro brews on tap. Absolutely the worst experience ever!I went in today with my daughter and I ordered a mocha frap, chocolate milk, avocado toast, and a bagel with cream cheese. It was not busy when I went. We waited about 10 minutes to get my mocha frappe, 30 minutes for my daughter bagel and cream cheese another 30 minutes for my avocado toast and my daughter chocolate milk. I asked 4 times throughout why was it taking so long because it wasn’t busy. Katylen smirked at me (she made the avocado toast and it took her half an hour to do so). No apology from her at all. I told the guy who was in the front that I didn’t want my avocado toast anymore because it’s ridiculous it took 30 minutes just to make. I asked him to refund me for it and he gave me a hard time. He finally refunded me and did not apologize or anything! And to make matters worse he sent the refund to the wrong card! I told him and he said “well that’s not my problem” very unprofessional!! I’ve been going to Cafe Taza for year’s! And referred so many of my business partners and friends. I asked for their names and he handed me that and did not care at all.Cafe Taza you will no longer have my support nor my friends as you let your employees disrespect your customers and do not apologize for any inconvenience on their end! Absolutely horrible!I had to rate or it wouldn’t let me post, I wouldn’t even give them half a star.

For the most part they are consistent with their drinks. Their iced dirty chai taste great. For some reason though when they ask if I meant iced or blended and I say iced they will still make it blended. Then I have to tell them it’s over ice not blended and they look at me like if it’s my fault. It’s comical sometimes.Their food is okay. The breakfast panini can be a hit or miss I guess depending who makes it. Oh and for some odd reason the guy who brings you your sandwich likes to spin your to go box as if that’s his signature move spilling the tomatoes out of the sandwich. Overall it’s probably better than some other coffee shops around.

Ive been here about four times now. The service is friendly enough, the food was good, the coffee is okay, and the atmosphere chill. I read a lot of reviews about the coldness, but honestly it wasnt a problem for me these last four visits. They have plenty of seating. Some couches, chairs, tables, outdoor and bar seating. The place was festively decorated for Christmas and New Years. My daughter was fascinated by the window artwork, commenting that the snowman had a very realistic arm and hand instead of a stick arm.(and, I realized just now that I should have taken a picture to show you! I will try, next visit...)The specialty coffee drinks are a tad on the sweet side for me. I guess you can always tell them to tone it down a notch or add an extra shot(extra $ too) if you so desire. Ive had the Raspberry Truffle, Polar Bear, and Heath Mocha so far.On this visit, there was a steady stream of customers. Me and my boy tried the breakfast panini and the breakfast bagel. I had the Heath Mocha, iced, and the son had a Strawberry Sunrise Smoothie to drink for todays brunch. I was a bit shocked when the bill was $25+...a bit pricey, yeah? Oh well, I still put some dollars in the tip jar anyway because I am a good customer.We enjoyed watching the two televisions near our table - or should I say, watching and reading the captions, because the volume was so low, and you couldnt hear them due to the noise level from the customers, blenders, coffee grinders/makers, etc. On this particular day, we had a choice of college football, and The Walking Dead for viewing pleasure.I did notice the beer and wine selection and the happy hours posted on the chalkboard. I will have to stop in and have a glass one day with a late lunch or something.

I love their No-Sugar-Added Ice Blended Frappuccinos, one a few places that offers them. 😋 However, the place is over due for some improvements, both in the furnishings and in the food they offer. They have Einstein Bagels and a Mexican Taco Shop next door, so they must improve the taste and quality of the foods they offer. The quality of the coffee they use to make their various coffee drinks need to also improve. And like I said Ive been a customer for at least 20 years. I would hate to see fade away and really hope they make the needed improvements. Good luck. 👍

Ive been coming here more recently since my schoolwork has been piling up from my incessant procrastination, but this is a great spot to study! I always order their hot specialty drinks (either the Polar Bear or White Hazelnut Mocha) and its always good. The pricing here is broke college student friendly and the employees here are super nice.Highly recommend for my fellow Chula Vista and National City college students to come here if you cant be bothered with the commute to North Park or Hillcrest to study.** NOTE: This place closes at 11pm compared to Lestats overnight hours.

I walked in around 9a.m and stood in front of the register for atleast 5 min waiting to order a cup of coffee. Neither one of the girls acknowledged me with a simple hello we will be with you in one min as they did with another lady who came in after me to which she was talking on the phone. I got robbed here on 11/25/17 at around 6:20pm in the Patio. I have asked for their help and see if they have a surveillance camera for review to find the people that robbed me. Since then, I did not get any response from the owner nor Terra Nova Plaza. Security guards were nowhere to be found at that time. Reported it to the Police and they never showed up either. Already have a Police report filed for almost a week now. Im still waiting for the Caffe Tazza owner to see if they have captured anything.. I know you are out there and can read this. I highly doubt those cameras work. If they do, theyre probably not recording. Just my thought.
