Not as good as they used to be. They used to make the best duck Ive ever had and food used to be reasonably priced. Now, $12 for a small taco is an overkill, very small portions. Better off having a much more filling and amazing taco meal from the food trucks nearby for the same price.

We had half a day with no plans so we decided to make a quick trip to Napa. None of us had been there before so we werent sure what to expect but we knew that three a lot of good places to eat. Unfortunately we didnt plan ahead so we didnt really know where to go. Fortunately theres Oxbow market and C Casa for tacos. We went for it and were not disappointed.We ordered a bunch of different tacos for the whole table to share. Its hard to say which is the best because all of them were so good. In fact it seems you cant go wrong no matter which tacos you order, so Id say just order away and dig in.Final note: the wine was excellent, but I noticed the bartender preparing some tequila mixture which made me not that the next time Ill order that instead.

On a beautiful summer evening, my wife and I decided to try C Casa while out celebrating our 29th anniversary. In the past, we have not done a good job of celebrating on our anniversary date so this year we decided to be different. The location of the restaurant is great as it’s tucked inside a little shopping mall with kiosks and interesting shops. There is a huge indoor seating area though we sat on the patio. It was busy and the food was excellent as shown in our photos. There is a walking trail just outside the patio area where a few drunk people were entertaining us with goofy dancing though I doubt that is common. Parking in the area is challenging at times so consider an Uber or something similar during the busy season. The amosphere is a perfect place to enjoy a meal by the River. For Mexican Food in downtown, this is the spot I traditionally recommend as well as Los Agaves. Each have their own unique style. Casa is adding some classic touches from the past that I fell head over heals for. Try Duck or Crab Tacos as well.

The restaurant located in the market place, and the restaurant was very busy when we arrived. The interior and ambiance are very nice in a beach vacation vibe.Each of us ordered a taco and think it might be enough for lunch since it mentioned on the menu that theirs is 2-3 time larger than a regular one, yet the portion was a bit not enough, so Ill recommend people prefer a few sides to share as well if youre normally hungry. Foods are fresh and delightful, and a bit relatively expensive and this might be due to the location and portion.The service was okay. They frequently ask about your dining experience but its not like specially kind just normal like regular restaurants.

Arrived as it opened on a Friday and it felt like we had the restaurant all to ourselves. We ordered guacamole and chips and they were good! Chips were just cooked and guacamole was freshly made. I was disappointed with the cod fish taco. It tasted like it was over cooked due to chewiness of fish and certain dry parts. I’ve had moist cod fish and chips so I know this taco tasted a bit different. The shrimp tacos were ok too. Felt the blue corn batter doesn’t get the correct crispiness for the battered shrimp. Those were the only 2 knocks on our food but still overall good.

Placed an online pickup order. Walked in to pick up and there was no staff to greet me. Took a minute for someone to ask me if I needed help. At least 3 people walking around doing nothing. My takeout order was brought out onto the shelf and had to wait a couple of minutes more for someone to hand it over to me. It was not busy at all.Food was underwhelming for $10-12 per taco. Very little protein, but a lot of greens.

The server was wonderful, they had great options for meat and vegetarian dishes so we were able to satisfy all our family members. I had a Mojito no alcohol, and dinner was wonderful. The noise was a bit to loud to hear well the people talking across the table but it was a lovely dinner. Thank you C Casa!

Located in the Oxbow Market which is a great place to visit as well. C CASA was recommended to us by a local. It has a great vibe and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is a patio in which most tables have a fire pit to enjoy. I opted for the Vegan Sweet Potato & Black Bean Taco with a side of Vegan White Beans. It was plenty of food and I could not eat it all. The hubby opted for a bowl of Tortilla Soup, Rotisserie Chicken Taco, and a side of Black Beans. We each thought our meals were delicious and will probably return during our stay in Napa.

Light flavorful tacos in a bright airy indoor/outdoor space. The chicken taco had a generous portion of meat, with good variety of greens and sides. Duck in the duck taco was a little tough. We sat outdoors which had a nice view. But the fire pit in the middle of the table made it hard to share sides or hear each other across the table.

I love the new street taco menu., but you should be aware if you arent already, these tend to consist of several bites and are meant to be more of a small plate.The kitchens layering of ingredients with bursts of flavor throughout all their options have always been a strong draw for me. Big plus is that there are good options for vegetarian and vegan diners which I especially appreciate.

Very disappointed. The taste was good, not great; one of my orders was incorrect; and quantity was lacking.The Soyrizo Scramble ($16) didn’t come with actual Soyrizo, just 4 blocks of grilled tofu, which I circled in the photo. (Soyrizo is much more flavorful and different in texture and color to tofu.) There was definitely a lack of flavor. If the Tofu was a substitution, I should have been told so I could order something different.The Guacamole and Chips ($18) were super expensive for just chips, quacamole, sprinkles of corn, and vegan Parmesan. However, the flavor was good. There were not enough toppings for all of the chips so I had a handful of plain chips left over. I would have preferred for the guacamole to have been packaged separately, so it didn’t make the chips soggy.The young guy helping me, Joshua P., was so meticulous with his actions. He was very thorough and thoughtful about his job. He seemed like a great employee.The restaurant also charges a packaging fee for to go orders. Mine was $1.36.

Really enjoyed the food here! The prices are pretty reasonable with quite large portions as well. One of two spots in oxbow where I found some vegan options and the vegan tacos were quite good. Tacos come as one giant taco which is delicious but certainly hard to eat as one big thing.

Delicious! Margaritas were so fresh. We asked to switch to Mezcal... not a problem and they had a lovely smokey flavor. The food was yummy, yummy. C Casa Taqueira is located within the Oxbow Market, and recently moved from being situated next to Hog Island Oysters to the back part of Oxbow Market. It has now become a take away (always had this option) and a sit down restaurant. What makes this place incredible is everything they make is Gluten Free which for many is great as no chances or cross-contamination.Breakfast tacos are your savior to your journey in Napa. Trust me… come here after grabbing a coffee at Ritual, grab some breakfast tacos and prepare your body for the long day ahead.Tacos are excellent — they go heavy on cilantro, so ask for light cilantro or none if you’re like me.Pastries / doughnuts are all gluten free. Pretty solid. Californian-american style mexican food, portions were very largeThe taco was decent although not at all like a real taco. Its 8, and is piled sky high with veggies and meat. Pretty good, nothing exceptional, meat could have used more flavor (we had the chicken). The not! nachos were better, the beans were excellent and creamy, very well seasoned. The sauce on it was also very good, although I could have used more pico de gallo, I would order again.Its definitely not a true authentic mexican place, but if you like organic-y elevated fast casual, this is a decent spot. The prices are reasonable, taco was ~7, we got the half nachos for ~8 and the portions were ginormous.

Oxbrow Public Market didn’t have a large selection of eateries. So we ate at C. Casa for Mexican food. They had rotisserie chicken spinning in the oven.I got the Baja Rotisserie Chicken bowl ($14). The entire bottom bowl was lined with a bed of greens. Then one corner had rice on top. The other corner had black beans. Next corner, shredded chicken. Finally, the last corner had the rest of the mixed greens.Guacamole was in a separate container and so was the chipotle aioli sauce.You have to order outside in the patio and pick up was out there also. They give you a pager for when food is ready.I enjoyed my bowl. It had a lot of food that I ate the other half the next morning.

Excellent breakfast tacos and Huevos rancheros done with high quality ingredientes and a creative style over a tortilla that was made right on the premises. The portions are huge and the order of the huevos rancheros is enough for two people. There are tables in the market to sit and you can order coffee or other items from the other restaurants in the premises as well. Excellent!

This is in oxbow public market which is a nice little area. The fruit aqua fresca was strawberry and was sweet, thick, and kind of like thick strawberry lemonade. It was okay, but not great. There was pretty long wait for our food considering it is not table service. The tacos were a bit pricey but that made sense when they came out. They are huge. Bugger than they need to be. The outside seating was nice with good music and there is self serve water outside. You will need it because the food is a bit spicy and salty. The steak taco was good but salty and the salmon has a bit of a kick to it as well as a strong lime taste. The homemade tortillas are good. Overall recommend, but order less than you think.

Worst service that I’ve had in the Bay Area, let alone Napa. We were offered desserts (1.25 hrs into our meal) with the assumption that we had had already eaten our entrees, which we had not received— the empty appetizer plate still on the table. Two birthdays running, I ended up in C Casa at the Oxbow Market in Napa! This year is was technically the day after my birthday – a fellow Virgo was not sure what to do for his own birthday and I suggested that Napa would be a good spot for celebration during lockdown. And it was! Tacos from C Casa combined with beer from Fieldwork got the day off to a promising start. At this stage, I’ve had three of their four vegan tacos and enjoyed them all – I don’t even know if I could pick a favorite, perhaps the heirloom potato taco. My tacos were around $7 each and although that’s a bit pricey I think they are worth it as the ingredients and cooking craft are both high quality (plus, they are fairly filling). I don’t normally love corn tortillas so props to C Casa for making some good ‘uns! Nice atmosphere, friendly service, and plenty of outdoor seating with shade.I’m also giving C Casa 4 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact for the following reasons:• For omnivores, the signs at the counter announce sustainable fish, grass-fed meats, and free-range chicken.• They do list suppliers on their website (e.g., pasture-raised eggs from Hen Pen, grapeseed oil from Salute Santé!)• Their tortillas are made from organic corn• They serve a lot of meat/fish dishes but also have a pretty good vegan menu (four kinds of taco, three salads, nachos, etc.)• Drinks are a mix of local wine and beer and some that are more generic (Corona, Modelo).• They do a good job at minimizing waste• Overall, it’s a woman-owned local business that supports local, sustainable farming.

There are different meat and vegetarian options and they also have seafood. I had their steak and potato taco and I was very satisfied. The steak and potatoes were perfectly cooked and the toppings were fresh and tasty. These tacos are bigger than a street taco, so 2 or 3 should be enough for one person. One of my favorite things is that they have the “Mexican Coke” (coke in a glass bottle) and everyone knows that tacos go perfectly with a “‘Mexican Coke”. Customer service is great and the staff is friendly. Their spot in the market is modern and very well kept. Can’t wait to go back to Napa this spring and summer and eat here again! 🙌🏼

Out of four dishes we tried, we liked one. I never send food back for the taste, and did for the first time in years. The pork belly tacos were so bland, the only flavor I got was an artificial chipotle flavor. I asked the waitress what had flavor, she recommended the fish tacos, I got those, with no chipotle sauce. Those were good, fine. When we got the bill they had removed the pork belly but charged me a higher amount for the fish tacos, not good form. Won’t be coming back. Over priced, under seasoned.

There really wasnt much of a hostess as she seemed to be doing the takeout. After we asked if this is where we get a table she puzzled a way to get us seated. There was no direction at the front for where to stand or if there was a line for takeout and one for dining. It was just a bunch of people kinda standing around.I saw the menu and they said their tacos were the size of 2-3 street tacos. So I ordered mine and they were the same size as an average sized street taco. Wasnt too impressed with the size however the taste was great. The taco order consists of one large (6 inch diameter) tortilla, with fillings placed on top. It straddles the line between a taco and a taco salad, and is the worst of both worlds. There were a few people in the line to order but it seemed that it was taking longer than it should have. For our group of four, we were given a wait one of 20-minutes for the order. We had ordered chips and guacamole, and requested if it could be given ahead of rest of the order. It seemed to be a reasonable ask, but the hostess said that that was not possible. When we got our food and seats in the crowded place, the food was just okay. Honestly, a little underwhelming experience. It was lacking the flavor and tang that you expect in Mexican food. But I do plan to go back one more time to see if my opinion changes in the next experience.

I think they should fire whoever created the menu selection. I had a lamb taco. It tasted okay but was incredibly underwhelming for the price. C Casa has successfully taken Mexican Street food and slapped a premium tag on it. The ingredients dont call for this up charge but anything to call it gourmet.For what its worth the taco ($8 for a single one) was okay. The lamb was served cols and made me doubt its freshness. The cabbage and avocado mimicked a salad and dwarfed the tortilla making the taco difficult to eat.

The food here is outstanding, and literally EVERYTHING they serve is gluten free. No worries of cross contamination. Best beef quesadilla Ive ever had. If you do come check this place out, stand in line the ten minutes, it really is worth it.

This taqueria is inside Oxbow market. I got the nachos to share with my mom but the portion was smaller than I expected. Its $10 but I wanted grilled prawns so they charged me $7 extra. They gave me buzzer, then 10 minutes later, my food was ready for pick up. The biggest disappointment was the amount of prawns they put. There were only 4! What? I thought there will be more stuffed between the nachos but no. In a nutshell, I spent about $18 for nachos enough for one person. I know this is Napa but I think its overpriced for ordinary nachos with 4 pieces of protein. Maybe the tacos are better but it starts at $6 for one.

The line was long and the tacos were huge but only because they were full of lettuce or cabbage.They were out of the duck and the lamb was very tasty, but I was not impressed.It took too long to get food, make sure they get your order right. I would go back to try the duck.

This review is based on their door dash service. So to start, they’re great! Delicious and timely cuisine is what I’d call it. A modern take on Mexi-American food.Now the real story here is that I ordered a chicken cesar salad from another restaurant (via Door Dash) that happened to be NEXT to C Casa.Apparently the Door Dasher was confused and went to C Casa to ask for my Cesar salad. They don’t have Cesar salad on the menu!But lo and behold these magnificent SOBs at C Casa made the most delicious mexi-American Cesar salad I’ve ever had!So picture a Cesar salad with some tortilla shreds, avocado slices, pollo asada, shredded greens, queso, corn/black beans, and classic Cesar dressing. It was AMAZING!Their food on the menu is good too, but I’ll always miss this Mexican chicken Cesar salad they whipped up (how did they have the Cesar dressing?).

The idea of trying to find a place to sit in a public market with a large group is quite hectic, especially when it is chilly and no one is willing to sit outside. However, I had their Salmon Dinner Plate and it was SO GOOD. Grilled Salmon on a bed of sautéed corn, zucchini & edamame with cilantro pesto & toasted pumpkin seeds. Several people I was with had a variety of tacos and enjoyed them as well.

There are corn tortillas you buy in the store. There are the corn tortillas you get at a restaurant. There is no corn tortillas on earth like the ones at c casa. I imagine there is a 70 year old lady somewhere in Mexico who has made tortillas all her life that looks on these with jealousy. They are a cross between flour and corn in texture but in a completely gluten free kitchen. I cant tell you how they do it. I can only tell you I cant not eat them. I will not be posting photos of this venture. They do exist but will only make us both hungry. Again.

If you go to NAPA you HAVE TO CHECK OUT THE MARKET! The food and drink spots in there are out of this world. They have something for everyone. Our favorite spots were the oyster bar and the taco joint C Casa Napa. So many different tacos combinations. All made right in front on you in freshly made tortillas! When I think of NAPA I think of this place!Be warned it’s a very popular place. Difficult to park. Longer lines. Well worth it. One truck is to call your meal in ahead of time and pick it up and eat it then and there.

Id love to tell you how the taco was, but the potatoes were so delicious that I ate them all and ran out of room. I had a half chicken, rotisserie style, at C Casa, in August 2013. When I ordered it it was one of the best looking birds Id ever seen, and I tore into it with great expectations. Halfway through, however, I realized Id made a mistake. The chicken was well prepared. It was succulent and juicy. The skin was flavorful and not soggy. But, it was also kind of boring. Perhaps I am condemning all rotisserie style chickens with this comment, but once you got past the skin, the meat was pretty bland. Next time Ill be sure to order the carnitas or something more inherently flavorful than yardbird.

We stopped at the Oxbow Market for lunch on a Friday and it was jammed with folks shopping and enjoying some food & wine.C Casa was our spot at the Oxbow Public Market for a quick but gourmet lunch. This little taqueria is totally organized. It was very busy with folks standing in line to order. From the time we stepped in line to our food being served, it was no more than 15 minutes. This is no fast food joint. I am amazed that they can turn out such wonderful food in a matter of minutes. “An Innovative Kitchen” with a menu delivering unique tacos, house-made white corn tortillas, chili-rubbed rotisserie meats, fresh salads and salsas, and interesting sides. All food is made to order from freshThe food at Casa is nothing short of fabulous. The crab taco was full of big chunks of crab meat. Nacho’s Not! reinvents the idea of nachos with freshly made white or black beans on a bed of house-made tortilla chips, topped with goat cheese, pico de gallo and chippotle aioli. We also got a small slip pea soup (delish!)So delicious and fresh. I wish we had a longer visit in Napa to work my way through the menu. A fun and relaxed place to grab a meal.Well done C -Casa, you are tops in my book!

I give this place four stars because I truly appreciate that everything on the menu is gluten free. The facility is dedicated gluten free, the tortillas are made in-house, fresh and thick. Their menu has good variety, from quesadillas, salads, rotisserie chicken/duck (also made in-house) and the best of all is their black beans! Now i dont give this place 5 stars because I have eat at the one in Oakland and the flaovr of all the food at the Oakland one is star. IDK what Napa has against salt, but bring some along if you eat here!

Definitely a must-eat if youre in downtown Napa! Take a spin through Oxbow Market in the afternoon and eat lunch or dinner at C Casa. Everything is gluten free (i.e., corn tortillas if tortillas are involved) and delicious, plus the daily and monthly specials are unique and fantastic, too. I ordered the salmon dinner plate, which was grilled salmon on a bed of corn salsa, edamame, and zucchini, topped with pepitas and green chile sauce, and it was a good sized dinner portion and delicious. Also recommend ordering a side of guac and chips to share. Others in my group had various combinations of tacos - theyre big so about 2 tacos is a good sized meal. Sit outside on the balcony and you can pick up your food easily through the outdoor window! High quality, extremely fresh ingredients, and friendly service too.

We werent expecting an indoor market when we went looking for tacos but we were happy we stumbles apon it. The market has a nice selection of good and restaurants. You get a definite San Francisco vibe in here and to top it off, the food was delicious.
