My partner said the food was pretty good. He really liked the fries.However, after reading a lot of great reviews about the safety of the restaurant for gluten free, it is NOT safe for celiacs disease. The empeñadas and cookies were kept in a separate case on top of the open salad bar. There were literally a ton of crumbs all over the counter, all around the sides of the salad bar and ingredients and several crumbs had fallen in the individual ingredient containers as well. They also chopped the salad ingredients on the counter with the crumbs next to the salad bar.I also noticed crumbs all around the cooked food as well. Both above on the counters and beside the food containers. The pictures I posted are just one corner. The rest of the kitchen was only slightly cleaner. However, I could see crumbs from my seat at our table and watched them take pans out of the oven, place the pans on top of the crumbs and put the pan inside of a dish of food to scrape the food off the pan. Leaving crumbs mixed in with the “gluten free” side dishes.The employee at the register was very nice and apologetic, but it’s clear the cleanliness of the restaurant is not where it was from the last review. Unfortunately I had to sit out the meal while everyone else had theirs.

Their Beef was amazing! BUT! the rice and and sweet potatoes need much better work. I got the chimichurri tri tip plate. The rice was crunchy sometimes as if it wasnt fresh . The sweet potato chuncks were hard to the bite as well. However, The beef was tender and delicious. Overall It has potential of being an amazing dish. The empanadas both chicken and beef were delicious. I spent $25 for a couple of empanadas and a plate.

I’ve eaten at this location a few times and have really enjoyed it. They have good service, tasty food, and I like their outdoor seating area. I also like that their burgers are grass fed beef. Their fries are amazing. I don’t live in Temecula so it’s nice to not have to go to the fast food chains when I’m in the area. Wife loves this place too!

I’m not the “leave a bad review” kind of person, to the point that I don’t even think I ever have - but after the 4th bad experience with takeout here, I can’t recommend anyone dine out. If you have the time to sit down and enjoy your meal, you’ll have one of the best meals in town. If you’re taking your food to go, it’s a gamble whether you’re going to get what you paid for.For the price plus tip, there is only an ounce and a half of really soggy warm-ish shredded(?) chicken, and didn’t taste anything like the Thai Chicken Curry that I’ve had here plenty of times. Still tastes fine, but for the price, it feels like there should be more to this.

Summary: The food overall wasnt great, it was fine, but for the price we could have gone somewhere else and gotten much better. The fries were good, but the burgers were plain, some overly charred, and the place left no reason to return. They also missed a food allergy, so if that is a big concern Id avoid this place (see below).Long Version:When we walked in most of the sides were sitting out uncovered in chafing dishes, and looked like they had been there for a while. We had a food allergy in the group and told them when we ordered, they missed the allergy and served the food with it. When we notified them, it looked like they were just going to pick off the allergy item and re-serve the food. We saw them though and told them it had to be fresh food due to this specific allergy, they then remade the food new. They also forgot one our groups order, then brought it without the fries we ordered (fries are separate, not included in the meal), then forgot another order of fries.I understand people make mistakes with orders, but the disregard of the allergy was very concerning. The staff might not be trained very well to handle food allergies, and seemed indifferent in general.The restaurant only had one other table of 3 people in it when we entered.

This was our first trip to this area, and my husband found this spot for dinner. Its small and quaint, with outdoor seating as well. The portions are large enough for two helpings and plenty of options. Thank you for great service and great food.

Well I’m officially done with this location. The food quality has just gone down hill. Tonight I ordered a burger and there was so much char it was gross to eat. I sent management a note through their review system several months ago about this exact thing and still no improvement. It didn’t end there we ordered The salmon entrée and the fish was overcooked. On top of that our modifications got missed. We used to dine here at least once a week and everything was cooked perfectly. I’m not sure what the heck has happened, but the executive chef really needs to train the cooks on how to not burn and overcook food. Additionally, the portion sizes are so small for the money. There are other restaurants in town that give you more for your money. I definitely do not recommend bushfire grill anymore. It used to be one of my favorites 😞

This was our first visit to this chain of restaurants and wont be our last! First, this is a fairly space-constrained location with only a few tables inside which made the noise level quite high. We tried eating outside as one side has radiant heaters but to no avail. We changed our order to go. Great selection of vegan/ vegetarian friendly items. We had the Veggie Empanadas which were tasty but the philo dough was deep fried and a bit oily. I had the Veggie Burger minus the cheddar cheese and can state that it was one of the best veggie burgers I have found anywhere! My wife had the Quinoa and Power Greens which was also delicious. You order and pay first then they bring your order to you quite quickly. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely return to the other eateries in this chain. Highly recommended!

I had eaten here in the past, many years ago, and decided to get takeaway food today for dinner. The online order process was easy to understand and quick. My food was ready on time. I love Bushfire! The Temecula location is smaller and a little far for me, but worth it! They have so many gluten free options. I am bummed they took the ribs off of the menu, but the tri-tip is yummy! I LOVE tha Salmon and the sun-dried tomatoes sauce. I used to always get the chicken curry bowl but I would have to try it first because sometimes it’s too spicy for me. Then I tried the salmon. 😱 No matter what you get, it’s always fresh and so yummy!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and we were really impressed. We both got a different tri-tip sandwich and they couldn’t have been more different. One had cheddar and bbq sauce and the other had Chimichurri. The bread was good and the meat was awesome. Everyone was friendly and the outdoor seating was nice. There were a few tables inside but the weather was so beautiful we wanting to sit outside.

I have no idea what happened to bushfire but the sweet potatoes were 1/2 cooked raw…yuck. We returned those for Brussel sprouts and those were black burn and gross! The server was a jerk and questioned me on if the food was undercooked so I told her to taste it. Then she realized how bad it was and then with a scowl served up the Brussels sprouts. I looked at them and I was over this place! Way too expensive for a fast food type place with a bad attitude. Oh yeah and we had to wipe down our table which looked like it had not been cleaned all week.

Been coming to Temecula location since it first opened as Bushfire Grill.I noticed a decline 7-8 months ago in food prepared quality, this included small serving sizes of dry salmon plate, chicken plate, burgers, potatoes or the hard dried rice. Expensive salads with 1 or 2 strawberries toppings ect. Then I notice prepared food quality got much much better, a new manager was hired. The Salmon filets were bigger & cooked to perfection, best I’d ever had.Most of my go to foods were better, then a very slight drop off after 4 months.Todays meal everything was cooked great. chicken was moist, potatoes were creamy & sweet potatoes fries were not over charred.The question for me every time I choose to eat here is “ will the food be prepared correctly”. It’s been a bit a roller coaster and not sure what to expect sometimes.I love the quality of food, but will it be prepared properly. When it’s prepared properly it’s excellent food!

Super disappointed, especially for the cost. The food is absolutely overpriced for a place where you order at a counter. I got the American Burger and asked for medium rare. The patty was a well done husk and the bacon unpleasantly thick and tough. If a patty cant be cooked medium rare then dont ask someone if they want it that way.For the price youd think the burger would come with fries or some other side, but no. This business wants you to believe that a lone burger with one thin overcooked patty is worth $14.25 because they slapped some avocado and bacon on it. Off the top of my head I can think of at least two different small business fast food restaurants that serve a burger with comparable toppings (bacon, avocado, cheese, etc.) that are priced around $9.00 and are twice as good on a bad day. Then, on the other end of the spectrum, Ive had awesome gourmet restaurant burgers priced around $3.50 more... and those came with a side! If Id bought a side to go with my burger here it would have been equal to or greater in cost to those gourmet restaurant burgers. Absolutely ludicrous. Even if it had been a good burger it still would have been overpriced. So either save your money and go support local small business fast food or go to an actual nice restaurant for a few bucks more per plate.My husband got the Thai Chicken Curry Bowl and he said it was bland and disappointing. He loves curry. All types of curry. I didnt try it so I cant personally speak on the flavor, but hes someone who hates to criticize anything at restaurants so the fact that he expressed disappointment at all is pretty telling. Pricing was, again, too high for what it was even if it had been good. Which it wasnt.I cant speak for the other dishes here, though I did eat a sweet potato fry from my cousins order. That was pretty decent and I probably would have had a better time if Id just ordered some of those and not gotten an overcooked and overpriced burger Im still thinking about 3 days later.I have nothing negative to say about the line level staff. I also wouldnt put my heart and soul into a job that almost assuredly pays minimum wage, is in a store with a layout that resembles a fancy looking Subway, and wants you to fill the roles of cook, wait staff, and (god forbid someone order a cocktail) bartender while youre trapped behind a fast casual counter. I dont know where the price markup is going but Im pretty confident it isnt employee compensation. Im absolutely baffled by these glowing reviews.

Bushfire has become an establishment we frequent often. The food is absolutely amazing. A bit pricey, but we always leave stuffed. I appreciate that they have an outdoor area to enjoy our meal cuz it can feel a bit cramped eating indoors at times.

The food here is so good! I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was one of the best ones I’ve ever had. The Mac and cheese was so flavorful and so was the tri tip sandwich! You order at the counter, take your number and then they bring your food to you. I thought it was a little pricy for not being a sit down but the food is really good!

This restaurant made me a fan! I live closer to the La Costa one and Del Mar & we go often. We were in Temecula so we stopped and picked up lunch & sat outside and yet the perfect fries, my husband had sweet potato fries, so delicious! I ordered the chicken curry bowl, it was good, needed more sauce, otherwise delicious. My husbands gourmet burger would have been great but the bun was very hard, like it was old, so I went back and just asked for new bun but it came from the same batch so it was hard. The employees seemed annoyed & I was very nice and thankful on the change so I was bummed that the request came with an attitude. Lunch was around $56 so its not cheap for a burger & chicken & rice bowl plus water & a coke.

Id like to start with the fact that this was once my favorite restaurant in Temecula. The food here provides the perfect homemade comfort food feel. My favorite dishes were the tri tip bowl and salmon bowl, both with mashed potatoes and squash. My opinion has changed ever since we got takeout a couple weeks back. My medium well salmon was raw in the middle and the mashed potatoes were in grossly overcooked layers, like they were scraped from the bottom of a dish that sat on a warming tray for far too long. I reached out to Bushfire, because I really loved their food before this experience and I wanted to give them the chance to apologize. They never reached out. Im truly disappointed in the customer service here and Im saddened that I most likely will never be back. In short, when its good, the food here is absolutely delicious, but when its bad (thankfully this seems rare), they will give you something inedible with no remorse.

Was expecting a lot more.If you dont know what you are ordering, the menu is intimidating. Its very big and right up in your face so you have to walk along it just to read it. I read the reviews first to see what I thought i wanted. Even knowing what i wanted, there were still options and that was hard to hear so I had to ask the cashier a couple of times to repeat himself. The people are very loud inside. He seemed annoyed that I had to ask him. Price is a little on the higher side but lunch for one was under 20.The food came out and it was very underwhelming. I ordered the Thai chicken curry bowl with veggies. It seems like they cooked all of the veggies at once. Carrots squash and peppers. Reason being is that the carrots were under cooked and the peppers were over cooked. Not the most experienced cook. The shredded chicken in the curry sauce was tasty but there was just so little of it. Its less than half of the bowl and even that is sitting on top of a bed of rice. The rice was way overcooked as well. It probably wasnt rinsed right either. It was clumpy and chewy. It could probably use a little rice vinegar.I was really trying to like the food but while waiting, a family sat just adjacent to me. They werent too bad but the kids were running around freely and it was hard to concentrate on what I was doing. I felt like I needed to watch them. I probably wouldnt have really noticed but then another family sat right behind me. I was already smacked up against the bar I was sitting at but they still felt the need to bump my chair several times and the kids were super loud. The wife politely asked for the chair next to me and I couldve sworn she gave me a little wink, lol. But then her husband was slamming chairs around as he was re positioning them around the table behind me. It was noticeably annoying. Like, Im pretty sure it was intentional as if it was some kind of way for him to tell me he was with a family behind me and wanted the space. I turned back several times to glare at him because I was still eating and his wife put her head down in shame every time. The dad just had a blank stare like he didnt even realize he was being a total idiot. Then I overheard his dad talking to the daughter about missing money. Like he was accusing her off taking it. They seemed to have a lot of issues but 100% not something I want to deal with when Im trying to make the best of this mediocre meal.I guess I could have gotten it to go so I didnt give them 1 star. I gave them 2 for the effort. Dont think Ill return though. Cheap food is going to attract cheap people. Wont make that mistake here again.

Whole and healthy food choices and great options. Pictured is the Tuscan chicken sandwich. The patio is a nice outdoor spot to eat and relax, theres water spritzer that cool the area down. The food was amazing. At first, I was skeptical. We ordered 3 things and drinks. The empanadas are amazing also. Will be back soon! The atmosphere was cold, including the 3 employees we enteracted. Stone faced, smilefree, came across as if they hated working there. Fortunately, the food was extrodanay enough that we will be back. Paasing through and looked for a good burger place. Ordered a medium burger and a medium well. After waiting 45 mins we received 2 raw burgers. Medium well had blood all over the plate and fries. Unexpected style of service. The food was very flavorful, but it did not get to the table hot. We paid $21-$23 per order. The food was served on paper plates, with disposable utensils. We did not see that coming. It felt like a picnic in the park or a backyard bbq.There is beer and wine available. The team working had great attitudes and were very friendly. This used to be one of our favorite places for take-out. It used to be amazing - the salmon portion was generous and always cooked perfectly to medium-rare, base and toppings were also cooked well and generous.But weve noticed on our last three take-out orders that the portions are getting smaller and smaller, sauces have been missing and components are not cooked well. On our most recent order, the salmon was a tiny edge piece, so thin that you couldnt possibly cook it to medium-rare; hence it was dry and overdone. The roasted veggies on top were totally inedible, with practically raw chunks of carrots or sweet potatoes (it was impossible to tell which - they were literally too hard to chew). And the tri-tip portion was also tiny and not flavorful like it used to be.Were so bummed because we had enjoyed Bushfire on a regular basis, but given the recent trend, weve scratched them off our take-out rotation. If I had been writing this a year ago, Id give them 5 stars. If I were basing this on our most recent experience, theyd get a 1 star. Sadly, I cant even give them a 3 star ok rating with the way our orders have been coming out over the last several months. So Ill compromise a bit with a 2 star couldve been better.

Really wanted to like this place. As others have said it a paper plate type eatery, which is fine and know that going in. Ordered several meals ro go and didnt realize that they were all missing the signature sauces/toppings for each meal (surf & turf, teriyaki chicken). Just dry. They requested I bring it back for a refund so kinda frustrated with the situation and their response, I drove 25 mins back and they returned the food. Ended up costing me money, time and aggravation for nothing. Staff was rude and cold on the issue. No real apology or anything. We all make mistakes but its how we handle them is what stands out and they failed here.

Tried this place for the first time in yesterday, will definitely be returning! A young woman named Victoria waited on our table and she gave us excellent service. She went out of her way to make sure we had all the extras we wanted and did it quickly, she made us feel important. The lamb curry was absolutely fantastic. I tried some of my husband’s Millionaire’s Burgee, and it was absolutely phenomenal too. Overall, great experience! Will be back very very soon! Maybe even today!

It is very welcoming as someone with health issues to see more restaurants with amazing practices like the use of free range animals and no pesticides, hormones, or additives in their food. They even include gluten free buns, which was quite a surprise!We ordered food to go and the woman at the cash register was incredibly kind and approachable. With that said you do miss out on the dining experience. I ordered the surf and turf. Salmon and steak. The food was pretty good with the steak served with chimichurri sauce that I love but the problem for a $28 plate of steak and salmon is the it was served on a paper plate and the chimichurri sauce was served in a plastic ramekin and no I didn’t ask for a side of the chimichurri sauce that was the featured ingredient. For our first time there we got a short rib bowl, Thai curry chicken bowl and a small side of sweet potato fries, to go. Its a kitchen/cafeteria style in that it looks like all the food is done ahead of time your just really waiting for it to be assembled. We got there a bit before opening on a Sunday, asked if they were open yet they said sorry no so we went and did a little shopping that we needed to do any way at the store next to them. We got back to them after opening time and a worker informed us they where running just a bit behind so we said no problem, sat and gave them almost 15mins to finish up. Everything was packaged well in there own containers and the sweet potato fries where even sealed so that steam could get out keeping the fires nice, hot and crunchy. The sweet potato fries are great crunchy out side nice soft middle. The Thai chicken bowl was good too a little spice bit nothing crazy. And it was surprisingly light not a heavy sauce type. Bushfire Kitchen makes me wanna cry but like, in the best way. Ive had so so many horrible, embarrassing experiences trying to find good gluten free food ever since I was diagnosed with Celiacs Disease. You have all these places that advertise gluten free food and end up cross contaminating or restaurants with one gluten free item on the menu only to find out that its not actually gluten free at all and end up embarrassing you for asking so many questions about their menu and then you have Bushfire. A safe place where almost everything on the menu is safe for me to eat. With different items and varying flavors and presentations. Saddens me to write this review but after this last visit we probably wont be returning. This place has been our go to for years but the quality of food, employees, customer service and cleanliness have severely gone down hill. We watched an employee go around cleaning up trash off tables without wiping down any of them, my glass had crusty food all over it and when I asked for another glass the cashier acted annoyed. My husbands sandwich came out without tomatoes and avocado and when he went in to ask they told him they were out of those and if he still wanted it then threw it in the trash. A couple minutes later a gentleman came out and asked what the problem was and told my husband that they would remake it with those items in the next one. Sure enough it came out with them. So were they out or not out? Then my daughters hamburger which was supposed to be well done came out raw inside and burned on the outside. Honestly we are very reasonable people but when you spend $90 on lunch for 3 people and get that kind of service it makes you think twice about returning. There are plenty of other great restaurants in the area that we will be happy to give our business to.

Fter this recent visit i don’t think i’m coming back, giving my 3 stars for old days sake, my last experience is little over 1 star. Nice establishment, nice set up with very friendly staff.Be careful of what you are ordering though I ordered chicken and it came out pink/raw, when I captured the attention of the Lead she tried arguing with me saying that Our Chicken can NEVER be undercooked because of how it is cooked. She then told me that the chicken could be pink/raw because of how the fat cooks which does not make any sense at all. Temperature probe or not, I dont eat pink/raw chicken and ill probably never spend my money here again because I dont have the time to argue with someone about chicken thats 1. Not cooked, 2. Pink/raw looking which is an eye sore and 3. May be a vector for food borne illnesses such as Salmonella of which I have experienced before by eating under cooked chicken.Maybe if I didnt have to argue with the lady over a refund for the raw chicken bowl, I would have given this establishment another chance with another dish. Im not going to argue and Im not going to allow someone to talk to me as if Im ignorant to the topic at hand. Bottom line is that Pink/Red tinged chicken is RAW, temperature probe or not. If you are going to argue about the food safety concerns of your chicken with customers, I highly suggest posting a sign or simply letting customers know what to expect when ordering and I can almost guarantee your sales for chicken will tank because Pink chicken is not appealing even in the least bit.Lastly, when I paid they took the money right from my account and when I asked for a refund I told me that the credit back to my card would take 2-3 business days to come back which is unacceptable as they got their money as soon as I swiped my card. If my money is not on my card by Monday I will be calling back and I will be requesting the restaurant manager.

Wife has had vegetable dishes both times and loved them. Lots of vegan and vegitarian dishes. I have had two different burgers...the American (great) and the En Fuego which was incredible. Spicy and sweet, cannot be beat. Paired it with their in house IPA which was very good as well. They have a Happy Hour with half price Beer and Wine. Fresh salads, hot and fresh meats that they carve for your order, even freshly brewed teas and lemonades. Parking is the Trader Joes lot so be warned...park around the corner and walk over to them. I was visiting San Diego and my friend said we should meet at Bushfire Kitchen. I had never been but I would definitely go back when I am back in town! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is very friendly. Our breakfast was delicious as you can see by the photos below. The yogurt was very fresh and the homemade granola was super good! My friend really enjoyed her avocado toast and the coffee was perfect! We sat outside with some heat lamps and it was really comfortable. The decor has a rustic feel but very homey.

The best part was that they gave me $10 my food (with valid ID) because my birthday is tomorrow 9/27! The food is a bit pricy but oh so delicious! The staff is great, very friendly. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five was because they have a small fan that is filthy dirty sitting on the food counter and it blows right on the food. I brought it to someones attention and they did try to clean it up but still there and is an infection control issue. I will return. I seek sustainable-minded, healthy places to eat. Easy-access location with a nice, casual vibe, friendly staff and guests, and good food. The vegetables had flavor, appealing presentation and good textures and temperatures. Prices are very reasonable. Friends steak was slightly cool and dry, but very reasonably priced. Would have given 5 stars if the patio was bigger or had more atmosphere (I would consider a small waterfall and/or more plants) and if the steak was warmer and juicier. I do recommend this place.

Delicious food if your gluten free and organic. We been here a couple of times, but today the service was mediocre. It was cold and rainy (in May), and there were no tables available inside. Two of the tables were occupied by two employees doing homework! So we had to sit in the patio, and the heaters were not working. If this were my business, I would have all tables available. Employees should occupy the table during their lunch, NOT WHEN CUSTOMERS ARE TRYING TO GET A TABLE INSIDE!! By the way, they also forgot our side orders. The place was not busy, yet all the employees seemed to be distracted! Im not sure that we will be returning.

You get to see the side choices at the counter n the sight of these will make you choose roasted vegetables over french fries with their appeal. The food was wonderful. We had to change our order from in house to to-go right as our lovely arranged plates (you can tell they take PRIDE in the foods they are serving) were up but the guy who was arranging them was very accommodating (even if their cashier seemed to be giving me a disgusted look over our change. Bad day, I assume or a little overwhelmed with the crowd as they were very busy.) You cant miss the place in the strip mall as it is the busiest place there. You order cafeteria style up at the counter. They have a few tables inside but as busy as they were those tables wouldnt be the best place to sit but they have great outdoor seating. The wait staff brings your food to your table when done. This is a locally owned restaurant n the owners are doing something right, as it is THE place to go for lunch. My daughters gourmet burger looked amazing(and she bragged about how good it was) n my tri tip platter was scrumptious (even my 2yo granddaughter had to have more.) I know my daughter will be returning n I will, also, on my next visit.

While they advertised as such, there was no water dish, no treats for puppy that we could buy, and they threw away the bones-a waste. I have been a huge fan of Bushfire since they first opened. The Menifee location nails it every time, but lately the Temecula location has been lacking. Lacking salad dressing, lacking peri peri, lacking enfuego burgers, over cooking the veggies and the tri tip, undercooking the mac and cheese, substituting other items but not letting us know, not having our drink order, etc. We order online from work, and when we pick up the food, the order is usually wrong. We have called and the manager wasnt very helpful. I hope you can fix these issues, as I hate driving to Menifee every time I want food from Bushfire.

I have been here a couple of times and the breakfasts are very good. The grass-fed burgers devine. Im am writing this review to highlight the best burger I have ever had - the En Fuego! This g-f burger comes on a brioche type bun w/ bacon, avocado and chipotle aioli(?). It is a little tiny bit spicy but the thick cut bacon adds some sweetness and the flavors work spectacularly. I tried it two weeks ago and was wowed so I went last week, just to verify the burger, and it was perfect. I planned on eating just half but it was just too darn good. The fries are very good, too.

They also have options like steamed or brown rice bowls with vegetables, meat, or salmon.The atmosphere has got a fun, earthy, rustic feel to it furnished with reclaimed woods. Its usually jam packed inside, so most of the seating is outside. There arent servers, you order your food at the front and they deliver it to the table. Theyre pretty attentive and come around to ask if everything is okay. I just appreciate the overall experience.

My friend and I decided to try lunch at Bushfire Kitchen. It is a small restaurant and there was a line almost to the door. I got a grilled veggie bowl with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts (first time trying brussel sprouts and they were so good). It was wonderful! My friend loved his BLT sandwich too. Wish there was more indoor seating, since it was chilly outside. It seems like a very busy place and feels a little crowded with the line of people standing right behind you while you are eating, but overall great homemade dishes. We will be back!

However, I have had there carnitas bowl that was not very good. It had way too much liquid in it that made the mashed potatoes soggy. I did an internet search in my area for organic food restaurants near me. After reviewing their website I called to confirm that they would have a simple organic salad. The only thing they offer that is organic is brown rice. Im so glad I didnt visit without calling first. They should not be advertising that they are big on keeping it organic as much as possible.
