I bought tickets to a show in Del Mar just wanted a place to stay nearby (I live almost 100 miles away). I found Brisa Pacifica via Google, and saw it was highly rated and reasonably priced. I was impressed with the cleanliness and service. This is a great place to stay. Its not a 5 star luxury resort with a spa (as many nearby places are... along with a nightly cost thats more than triple!), but its an excellent, clean place to lay your head for the night. Will definitely come again if Im in the area!

Front desk staff was fantastic. Easy check in. Location is great. The room was great. I saw other reviews of people complaining about the towels so I brought my own but didn’t need them the towels were fine. We had a minor issue early one morning I called the front desk and they were there in less than 5 minutes to help us out. Definitely will stay again!

I had a very pleasant solo stay at Brisa Pacifica. My six-day stay turned into a nine-day one because ice storms back in my Oregon town forced flight cancellations. After my first night I asked if an upstairs room would be available instead of one close to the parking lot. The staff cheerfully moved me to an upper room (tiny upcharge) with a view of the neighborhood, where I was for the rest of my stay. All the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean (daily cleaning unless you put out the do not disturb card), the continental breakfast was decent (I only wish they had more variety than just apples for the fruit), and the location was great for walks in the neighborhood and access to restaurants and some fun shops.

My stay at Brisa Pacifica Hotel was a blend of convenience and minor discomforts. Its proximity to a railway track initially caused concern, but thankfully, the noise was bearable with the windows closed. However, a slight gap in the window prevented complete closure, which could have been an issue if not for our exhaustion helping us sleep through any potential noise.The inclusion of a dining table in the room was a welcome feature, especially as we resorted to a quick dinner of instant noodles upon our arrival. This small convenience was appreciated during our two-night stay.Regrettably, the breakfast was a letdown, offering only a limited selection of sweet cakes, cookies, and nearly inedible fruit. It was, without a doubt, the poorest breakfast experience of our 9-day Christmas trip.A notable inconvenience was the bathroom light, which would automatically turn off after a certain period, leading to a startling and potentially hazardous situation during showers. Additionally, the lack of a hairdryer was another oversight in amenities.

This is a beautiful hotel with huge rooms, where everything works (!!!), nice beds (couldve used another pillow or two for my personal liking), coffee maker, coffee and cups, fridge and toiletries provided. The staff is very nice as well.Nice quiet neighborhood too.And best of all pet friendly!!

VERY bad experience. We reserved a room through Expedia, who reviews this hotel as excellent. IT IS NOT.Far, far from excellent. I give it one star. Why?The hotel is dingy and when we arrived at our room, the bathroom stunk. There was a very bad smell which permeated the room.We asked for a different room as it was impossible to stay since we did not bring our gas masks.No other room was available. So we spoke to the manager who understood the situation, and we agreed to leave and settle the matter in the morning. We booked another hotel, which was quite inconvenient and costly.The next day, we contacted Expedia as well as the hotel asking for a full refund.After numerous phone calls to the hotel manager and numerous back and forth calls to Expedia, the refund was turned down.CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?Definitely, this hotel is One star and Expedia is losing for not standing by their customer.No apologies, no refunds.Quite shocking.

Anytime we are in Encinitas Ca we stay here. Both cost effective and clean. The location is the best part, as you are a 5 min walk from the stone steps and beach. Always a pleasure to stay.

I was a little worried about staying at this hotel sight unseen as the reviews were all over the place (anything from dirty and under construction, to amazing accommodations). Well I was pleasantly surprised. The service was amazing. Im not sure of the guys name at the front desk, but he was so helpful, letting us check in early and gave us some great ideas on restaurants and things in the area.The room was of course not some 5 star establishment. But it was clean and what Id expect from a small cheaper neighborhood beach hotel. Two full beds (not queen!!), bathroom with a shower, enough storage. I did like that it was a laminate floor and there was not carpet on the floors as that is so gross at a beach hotel with all the water and sand. I will note if you care, there was not a hair dryer, but was an iron/board.The room was comfortable and quiet and there was air conditioning. We had a room over the parking lot which was fine, there was no noise and we had a pretty view. The back of the hotel has a view of the neighborhood. I will say that it did seem like the hotel was under renovation as several parking spots were full of construction items (wood, drywall, etc). There is limited parking and they give you a parking permit. There is a pool however we did not go in it but it look clean, there also appeared to be pool towels. Maid service was offered daily and that was a pleasant surprise as weve stayed elsewhere in California recently and they are still claiming Covid as an excuse to not clean the room. We got the sand cleaned up and fresh towels every day and I was thankful for that.The breakfast...the reviews were all over the place and I was pleased there was breakfast offered at all (people really are picky). It was like stale danishes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and cookies, something like from the grocery store. They had coffee and orange juice. Breakfast was from 6-9am and my kids delighted in getting a snack. So for us it was a novelty.We stayed here as a family with two small children. It is in an absolutely ideal location with many restaurants and coffee shop within walking distance. Stonesteps Beach is a short walk away through the neighborhood. You could even walk to Moonlight Beach although a little farther. Tons to do in the area if driving as well.All in all Id absolutely stay here again as most importantly it was clean and safe in an ideal location!

I left a review yesterday & want to say this establishment blatantly lied!!! I complained about the same obnoxious loud construction as several other reviews & was accused of lying because “I didn’t want to pay for an upgrade”. I literally offered to pay any upgrade costs but was told no other rooms were available. I had booked this hotel several times in the past month (due to helping out family nearby after my father died recently). Those visits I received upstairs west facing rooms (away from the noise) at the regular rate & I was given early check in for free. When I asked on this recent visit, a different employee than before said it was fee to check in early. Since I had never been given a fee before, I didn’t think that was fair & didnt want to pay that fee. The same employee would not even let me store my heavy bags 1 hour before check in. I think because I said something I was given the worst room, attached to the 2nd floor building public door & literally next to the current construction. Every time some came & went throughout the night I was woken up by the loud door. During the other visits to this establishment, I had zero problem paying more for a bigger room. This time I had literally offered to pay more for a non noisy room. Instead of simply apologizing for the obvious construction going on, the owner chose to lie. DON’T STAY HERE unless you like loud renovations noises everyday from 8am to 5pm. It sucks because the location is great.

Very basic. Not that clean. Found hair in bed. All old and not nice at all. Ok if you just sleep for 1 night. Bed is comfortable. Right across from train tracks. Train runs all night and honks before passing. Super loud. Short trains and super long ones. Video is of short one. I wanted to leave immediate after I saw the room and go somewhere better but my friend booked it. Ok to sleep but don’t plan on spending time there.Plus mold on ceiling. Dirty windows and floors in bathroom.

Never had a bad experience at a hotel like I did at Brisa Pacifica. Ive stayed at cheap hotels before but this experience just about ruined our trip. BOOK ELSEWHERE! I mean it.Turns out theres construction going on in the hotel. No warning at all. Our 2 year old was napping at noon on Sunday and the bathroom next door begins to be demolished with a sludge hammer. WACK WACK WACK! Over and over. My wife and I are in disbelief at the level of noise.I approached the front desk about it and the front desk clerk gets them to stop for us.Next morning: they begin working again at 745am! We couldnt believe it. Time to check out.At check out I tell the very nice woman at the desk: why would you book a room next door to a loud construction project? And book it to a family with two small kids? I asked them to make it right and suggested waiving the pet fee ($25 dollars a night for two nights). But much but something to make us feel better enjoy the experience. She called the manager to ask. The manager denied my request. The manger said that they stopped the construction when I asked so they were not obligated to discount my stay.I am blown away that they would charge full price for a room next to a loud remodel project. They should at the very least warn guests that there is a major remodel going on in the hotel. We would not have stayed here if we had known. The manager showed no empathy about the disturbance.Other notes: first glance the hotel looks very shabby, especially the hallways. But the rooms are clean and the paint looks fresh. The front desk help is friendly. The breakfast is meager. The small pool is in the parking lot next to the road. Didnt feel like using it, not very attractive.We regret staying here. Our usual big-name pet-friendly hotel is much nicer.

We love this hotel. We’ve been staying here for years and the staff is always friendly, helpful, and available. The room is simple yet comfortable with everything needed for a pleasant stay. And the best is the location which can’t be best. Minutes to the steps leading down to what we consider one of the best beaches in the area, and a short walk to downtown Encinitas. FYI, remodeling of the property is slated to begin January 2923 and finish before summer. This should improve some of the minor issues that occur with use.

We loved our stay here! This seems more like Leucadia, but maybe it’s ‘technically’ in Encinitas. The hallways are a bit noisy with people coming and going, but quiet enough for some great sleep. Excellent variety of pillows although the bed is a bit stiff and could use a memory foam topper or pillow-top mattress pad. The staff are very friendly and my only issue was that I needed a receipt for the waters that I purchased and they couldn’t provide one since it was cash only. I’m on a business trip, so reimbursements require documentation.It’s on the main Highway 101, but with the fence and the pool it seems private and secure. We had things in the bed of the truck and didn’t feel we needed to move or lock them for safety and they were still there in the morning. Seems like a great spot!

The very best thing about this location is it is VERY safe. I felt totally safe crossing the parking lot and hanging out outside all hours of the night by myself. The front staff gal was also super kind and warm welcoming. The rooms were an acceptable level of clean. Especially for the price and how great the area was. No bugs inside. Husband checks for bugs immediately and there was none of the bad ones. Just a couple ants by the fridge. (Not alot) Walking distance to the beach and plenty of food and cafes. I really enjoyed it and would absolutely stay again. The ONLY thing I had an issue with was the bath towels. For whatever reason, the texture made my skin crawl. Im so glad I stayed here because I passed a few others we contemplated staying at for the same price and they were in some super sketchy dirty areas.

The room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfy and I slept pretty well in the quiet hotel. I think garbage day is on Monday so just make sure your window is closed if you’re a light sleeper. Mini fridge and microwave was really nice. Exceeded my expectations. Location was convenient for surfing at swamis.

At the time of our stay (early Aug. 21) there was road construction which in no way impacted our stay. Also, the back of the building opens to a nice green lawn and a residential neighborhood that is extremely quiet! Nice surpriseKing room, mini micro, mini fridge, mini coffee maker, plus ironing board/iron & hair dryer (w/built-in night light) in the bathroom. plenty of cabinet space for 2.Room was as described. Great front desk staff, everyone was very warm and attentive. This is an older property; each room is different, and some dont get a lot of natural light, which can tend toward a gloomy feel. No elevator nor microwave, just fyi. Towels and bedspreads are definitely older as well, a bit shabby considering the price point. Second time we have stayed at this hotel. The first night we arrived for this stay, there was a weird wet tissue on our room toilet seat and the floor was really dirty. Other than that, all was good. Front desk is awesome and was so understanding with our frustration with limited handicapped accessibility. They have handicapped parking spots, but no elevator and no side door access after 6pm so you have to go through front. Rooms are surprisingly spaces, comfortable, clean, have good amenities like mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, little sink, ice bucket, stuff for the coffee maker, table with chairs. We got a double queen. Beds were pretty comfortable. Its perfect for those who are able-bodied to do stairs.

We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds on the 2nd floor. We did have to use stairs but it was fine. Room was large. The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was clean. This was a girls trip. Location was great. Pannikins was right next door. Great fir breakfast. The motel gave coffee, a danish, and a fruit. Step stone beach was 2 blocks away and it was beautiful to walk to the ocean. Saw lots of surfers. Also nice community around there Lots of small beach towns Easy walk or drive to Moonlight Beach. The only thing we didn’t like was the construction which should be finished in the spring. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. We didn’t have a dog but it was dog friendly. I do think 25 dollars a night for a dog is high. I would stay here again

Please do not give this business your hard earned money. We booked this hotel for 5 days stay 3 months in advance. They changed names, did not call us and did not honor our reservations. They wanted double the cost for a 5 night stay that we pre paid before they changed names they would not make it right. Did not call us to tell us that they cancelled our stay. Great family vacation for the zoo and sea world except for a place to stay. Imagine how you would feel when you tried to check in after a 9 hour drive to the zoo and spending the whole day at the zoo without a place to stay that you booked 3 months in advance. Please spend your hard earned money some place else.

Great for the price. Good in terms of overall satisfaction. Bed was comfy- slept so hard I had blanket marks on my face when I woke up. Location is PERFECT, only a heartbeat away from the beach. The breakfast was a little skimpy (I recommend trying out Encinitas cafe down the 101- sitting here now and it’s delicious), there was hair on the towels in the bathroom and the room is a little dated. This was the second time I’ve stayed at this motel. My first visit was two years ago in August 2017. No big surprises, since I was pretty much familiar with the property and area. I arrived on an early Sunday afternoon and the desk clerk was able to check me into an available downstairs room. My room was nicely appointed with the same contemporary furnishings and decor I had experienced during my previous stay.I like that this motel is located steps away from Stone Steps Beach as well as a number restaurants and cafes along the Coast Highway. The Encinitas Transit Station is a 10 to 15 minute walk away for bus and rail connections and there are bus stops adjacent to the motel.A self service breakfast is available in the mornings and I noticed a few new offerings such as fresh fruit. The pancake machine is a great convenience. I generally had pancakes, yogurt, fruit and orange juice. There were just a few minor inconveniences during my 5-night stay. During the second day, housekeeping didn’t clean my room until after 3 p.m. Another issue concerned the high-pitched noises coming from the mini-fridge in my room. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and attentive.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and from the start, everything was a hassle. Besides the fact that they insisted that I give them my credit card even though they had my daughters credit card info in their system. They advertise that their hotel is dog friendly, they charged my credit card $150.00 for supposed damages, all related to my dog. No calls, emails, or texts from them to at least inform me of the charges. They said that all of the bed linens and towels had to be thrown out because of dog hair. This is not a practice of a quality hotel, just a 2nd rate, cheap as*, RIP-off place. I would never stay here and do not recommend any one stay here either.

Amazing hotel, amazing people, Danny was super-helpful. Everything is very close, highly recommended for surfers – you can find tons of spots around for a very reasonable price, not a lot of people during the week. Breakfast was simple, but good quality products and pancakes machine is just the best! Life hack for surfers: you can put your wetsuit to dry on a fence around pool and person at the reception will keep an eye on it. Will definitely come back again.

They were very accommodating and nice to me there. The room has everything I needed: wifi, desk, microwave, refrigerator, A/C, heater, extra pillows, soaps, etc. My only two complaints are that the walls are fairly thin (you hear everyone around you including staff and front desk if you are close) and the rooms definitely need to be aired out as they get quite musty. I wiped mine down with Lysol and kept the windows open by day. Fantastic location. I wish I lived in that neighborhood.

At around 6:30pm or so they were doing room service to clean our rooms, and we had our room deadbolted, and whoever was cleaning it knocked on our door really loud and then straight-up SHOOK it, this wouldnt be a problem, but we were trying to sleep after a hard day. Also, its right by where trains go so its pretty loud with that too. But, its a very nice facility, and I wouldnt hesitate to go here again. :)

This place was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the location was just a few minutes walk to the ocean. But most importantly, I left a laptop in the room and the owners actually called me right away and told me! I have traveled quite a bit and left items in hotel rooms that get lost. Some things I have had outright stolen. This was the first time any hotel has called to tell me and kept it safe for me! I was very impressed. I will definitely come back here. My only 2 gripes are, no Diamond member upgrade was given when I asked. She said the upgrade room would be more. Ok, not too big of a deal. But, the place was far from sold out and it wouldnt have had an impact if she would have granted the request. Second, there were only 2 elite member parking spaces and the front desk employees used one the entire time we were there. Again, not a big deal midweek, but using 50% of the elite member parking is not ok. The employees should utilize the available street parking and leave the limited parking for guests.

Encinitas is my favorite place to stay in CA and the Econo Lodge has become my go to place to book when I visit. The rooms seem to have been recently updated so they’re clean, modern, and have everything I need. There’s a mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, and a little sink in the entry way. The bathrooms are spacious and the beds are clean and comfy. The rooms are always affordable, I’ve stayed 4 times in the last two years and I will definitely be back. Plus, the location is great! Walking distance to highway 101 and the beach, and easy access to the 5. Love this place!

Econo Lodge Encinitas is a very nice little hotel near the Moonlight Beach, about maybe 5 blocks away by walking down there. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The TV (flat screen ) is very nice for watching at night after the days activities down on the beach. The hotel is close and within walking distance of many nice shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. The only thing we did not like was the crappy breakfast offerings at the so-called continental breakfast. There were no eggs or sausage or really much of anything other than coffee, juice, bananas, tiny donuts and bagels, and containers of yogurt. It is the worst hotel breakfast I have ever seen. Other than this poor excuse for breakfast, the place is pretty nice. Also, the Coke machine does not work, takes your money but doesnt deliver your Coke. I had to go down to the desk to get my $1.50 back there, which they did. So if you stay there, you had better get your soda pop at the liquor store a couple of blocks down the street and go to breakfast at one of the local restaurants. They do have a microwave and little refrigerator in the rooms.

We came back to a clean room each night which was refreshing. The complimentary breakfast was not too bad, they had yogurt, pastries, cereal, cheese sticks, ect. There is a wonderful vegan restaurant, called Lotus Cafe, right down the street if you are looking for something delicious french toast or pancakes. Plus I love the fact that you can literally walk to the beach in 10 minutes or drive there in less than 2 minutes.

I dont know why anyone could give this hotel more than one star. Im starting to think the good reviews are bogus. Worst hotel Ive ever been to. First we show up they refuse to give us a third room key and they dont have a crib for our child, so I ask for them for extra pillows to make her a bed and they only had ONE EXTRA PILLOW. We turn on the faucet in the bathroom and no hot water comes out. I ran the faucet for over 20 minutes and instead of getting hot, the water slowed to a trickle. Then I turned the shower on, no hot water there either. At this point, I start looking around the bathroom and realize there is mold covering the air vent and several walls. Then they turned the water off the next day for the whole hotel so no clean shower. Then when Im finally able to shower and water pours over the entire bathroom. We asked to get our linens changed because of a stain, instead of changing our linens they PUT THE DIRTY LINENS ON THE OTHER BED FACING A DIFFERENT DIRECTION. DISGUSTING!! There was dirt and crumbs in every corner of the room and the floor was nasty. I just cant emphasize enough how much you do not want to stay here. If the service was good maybe it would be have some redeeming qualities but nope, bad service on part of the hotel management. No help whatsoever.

The bad thing about the room was that there was an odd, unpleasant odor that never went away the two nights we stayed there. We were put in a room with water seeping up from under the floor. The people behind the counter were very nice, but lied to my face. They told me it was fixed, it wasnt. They made up fantastical stories about why there was water seeping up. They said they would move us to a different room but didnt. You can tell by the photos this is one of the better Econolodges across the country. Property is really small and the grounds are well kept like the rooms. My room was a queen room and it was a little small and the bathroom was crampy. They did a nice job decorating, but, the table and chairs are outdated. The chair I sat in the spring was worn out and I sank through the bottom of the seat. Wifi was horrible as it went in and out and I was next to the lobby. The bathroom is crampy with a nice shower instead of a bathtub. You wont be disappointed if you book here. Especially, you want a comfortable bed with a quiet nights sleep.

Spent eight nights here early March. Just what I wanted. Clean hotel, fairly priced in a great location. Praises too for solar panels which provide most of the electricity the hotel uses. Upscale neighborhood directly in back is very peaceful and great for walking.Just a 7 min walk to STEPSTONES BEACH, another 15 mins in opposite directions to Moonlight and Beacons Beaches. Fun DT Encinitas is a mile. Bus stop just off parking lot if you want to stay parked.Simple but good continental breakfast. Grabed some coffee, banana, yogurt and granola most mornings and headed outside to the pool. Laundry was clean. Staff very pleasant and helpful.Easy walk to several very good eating places like Juanitas Taco Shop, open at 7AM (best fish burrito ever, delicous huevos rancheros), Kojitos Jr and several coffee spots. Better Buzz, Whole Foods and a WONDERFUL SHOP called EARTH ELEMENTS, in DT Encinitas. Easy to reach within 10 mins. Great Transit Center there too with bus and train comnections to eveywhere, including The Coaster to Oceanside or San Diego and spots inbetween like Carlsbad, Del Mar, and Solano Beach. Took Amtracks Surflner to LA for a conference after getting takeout breakfast and coffee at Whole Foods at 8AM. A perfect arrangement since the Transit Center is just one block walk away.Second floor back may have the most quiet rooms. Look forward to another stay in a month or so. My room was near perfect.

Got a room for my sister which was stuck in California. Got her into a Room for 2 nights at the very last minute I wasnt in town but according to her the Staff did everything they could to get her in 2 hours early so she didnt have to wait with over stuff and the lobby I really have to say I appreciate the way they treated her. I was looking for a place by the beach to just get away for a minute over the weekend... Econolodge is great!! It’s a gem!! It’s literally a 5 minute walk from the beach, super close to all the restaurants, downtown Encinitas and more so you’ll be able to take a lyft anywhere and it won’t be expensive because everything is so close by...also shoutout to the staff at econolodge: They are friendly, sweet, helpful and have superior customer service! I would call in the middle of the night or during the day for the most random requests. Thanks for making my stay at econolodge enjoyable & memorable guys and I will come back again soon :)
