Stopped in on the way back from Tahoe with the fam. First off, parking was great(it is located in front of the restaurant across the street). Walked in and immediately greeted with kindness. We sat down..the server showed up within 2 minutes..got our drink order and apps. The food was good..the service was great...the atmosphere was great! Stop in on the way to or from south lake Tahoe!

Whenever we are in Placerville bricks is a must for dining.Every time we’ve been here we get seated right away and we always end up with the best service. Today we ended up ordering a little bit of everything from fried green tomatoes to a Santa Fe turkey melt working our way through a white chocolate mousse infused with port wine and indulged on a Tito‘s flight.As always, everything was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend bricks when you’re in the Placerville area.

We ate here on the 4th of July, so you can imagine how busy it was. But our server wa,s phenomenal. Got everything out to us quickly and professionally. The food was absolutely incredible. Such a beautiful, multi layered infusion of flavors. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are passing through, do yourself a true favor and eat here.

Ate here twice over two days. We had the Hot & Spicy Shrimp, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Apple Bacon Burger, all of which were delicious, but the best by far was the Mamarosa. I ordered it once and my friend twice. The steak tips were very tender and mixed so well with the sauce, and the garlic bread was delicious.Service was courteous and kind as well. The atmosphere is very nice too, with great photos of Placerville on the wall. I can’t wait to go back!

Came here for the drinks and food as a small snack after a long day of work. Ordered the buffalo chicken dip and was amazed at how good it was. Would recommend coming here and trying it out along with the dragonfruit hard cider. Jackie gave us really good service and was friendly and very helpful in helping me decided what to get.

AHI salad was delicious, along with a cheese steak Amazing. Flushed down with a few long Islands. I highly recommend the Ahi salad on a hot day with your favorite drink of choice. The people are friendly and not to mention the Bar tender Jackie. She brightens the environment up. Highly recommended.

First time at Bricks. Reviews good for fish and chips so I had high expectations. Letdown, just O.K. Not bad, but not great. If there is a next time I’ll try something else. Fish & Chips with Ice Tea was $25.40 Great location in historic Placerville in an old brick building. No outdoor seating that I could see. Artwork of this and other old buildings adorn the walls.

Great experience for lunch! Was busy and we only noticed 1 poor waitress for the main dining area, but she did her best and was very friendly. My blackened chicken Caesar wrap was delicious! Lots of moist and flavorful chicken, I would definitely order this again. My hubby’s black bean burger was underwhelming, dry and bland. Skip this for something else. We both loved the sweet potato planks and they were very generous with our portions! We will return for sure.

Love the creativity, however I feel that they overcomplicated their spinach artichoke dip by adding too many ingredients. The Figaro burger was delicious, however with a couple notes. The goat cheese overpowered the whole burger until most of it was gone, and I couldnt taste the fig marmalade at all. Id still like to return to try other items on the menu

Lamb chops for $35 is pricey enough to expect that when you order them medium rare, that they dont come back well done.I didnt send them back, but I let the waitress know (I was too hungry and I thought that I was being polite).With such numerous great reviews, I thought at that price that they might offer a dessert on the house or to comp my glass of wine. They did not.So, while the veggies are appropriately cooked (not raw, not mush), for the price I think that you would easily find better cooked lamb chops.🤔

Complete disaster. I placed a large order over the phone the day before for a company meeting and when I arrived to pick up my food the woman I spoke with didn’t pass the order onto the right person 😞 and I was told they didn’t have any order 🤯 It sad when you can’t trust a business. The guy that helped pull it all together was kind and I appreciate him and they made the food fast. But in my opinion the food was gross. The chicken in my sandwich was tough and hard to bite into plus it just didn’t taste good. I will never return.

Fish and chips done right. So yummy! A large, rather darkly lit restaurant with business clientele, as well as, families taking a stop before heading back to the large cities. Lots of American style food with enough tangents to please all palates, desserts. No one ever leaves hungry from this place.

Came here for lunch last Sunday before Christmas. They had great reviews on Yelp so that aided in our decision. We walked in and they were busy, but it only took a few minutes to get a booth cleared for our family of 3. They have a stack of coloring books and cups of crayons that you can help yourself to in the front for kids, or bored adults. We grabbed a couple for my son and I. Great assortment of beers on tap too that Ill have to come back and try. We ordered stuffed jalapenos for an appetizer. They were halved fresh jalapenos filled with a mix of bacon and spinach artichoke dip and then baked. Super yummy if you like a little spice. My boyfriend ordered a Bloody Mary and I think it was the Southwestern Burger or something, it had bacon, bbq sauce and fried onions. It was huge, he took home half and said it was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips. The order came with 4 large pieces of fish that were perfect. Crispy, hot and not caked in batter. The fires that came with were thick cut, seasoned and fried to perfection. It came with a kale-cabbage-slaw that was tart, crunchy and fresh and had a bit of a asian/sesame oil touch to it. Good! We ordered our son pasta with butter and cheese, it came with cheesy garlic bread and was just okay. He ate mostly my fish and chips which was fine with me because I had such a big serving!There were lots of other things that looked super tasty, maybe for dinner out though since the items seemed a little pricey for lunch, although the burgers/sandwiches/salads/burgers/smallplates are good lunch prices. We had dinner with my wife here, it’s a nice place in downtown Placerville, I ordered Frisco burger on sourdough bread which was really good, so so fries, my wife ordered shrimp, rice, and vegetables also so so. The Moscow mule was good, but the blueberry cocktail “the Molly’s” was somehow disappointing, I think it just had a touch of vodka, the taste was good tho. Last but not least, super nice and friendly staff.

Ok second best fried green tomatoes here. I loved the variety of tomato ripeness there was and the tomatillo was bomb. Grits needed some salt but that was IT! The calamari and dip appetizer was a perfect cold dip to hot fried crispy calamari contrast.That beautiful spinach salad sounded and smelled equally as amazing. The blood orange vinegarette was the perfect touch for a delicious salad that we will be recreating at home if we can perfect the dressing they use.Coconut white chocolate mousse with the chocolate port was heaven in a cup.And the bartender made awesome old fashioneds.

My husband and I and a friend went to P-ville for a day trip. We chose Bricks. Dinner was outstanding! My beef medallions in rosemary wine sauce were perfection. The beef was super tender medium rare with a generous portion of intensely delicious sauce. My husbands meatloaf was the best Ive ever had, EVER! It was moist and tender and served with a rich mushroom gravy & gold mashed potatoes. Our friends salmon was seared & served with an excellent balsamic glaze. All dishes included fresh vege medley of carrots, zucchini, broccoli, green beans & yellow squash steamed to a crunchy perfection!The atmosphere was like .a warm open tap room.And our server was so sweet and pleasant.We enjoyed our meal immensely. Decent place to get dinner. Its often busy here, which can mean long waits for seating, and long waits for food or table service. The burgers are my favorite here; I havent had one I disliked. I did try the Salmon, and was disappointed that the portion size was small, and it was overcooked. Its a good place to take the wife on a date, but you should call first to check the wait times.

There are lots of places to eat on Main Street in Placerville. We chose this place because it was my birthday and I liked the looks of the atmosphere as displayed on the web. Service was great from the moment we walked in, and the menu was very interesting and fun! The sandwiches looked so interesting that it was hard to make a decision. We eventually settled on the lamb burger and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious! The pulled pork was very spicy, almost too much. We will be back, to try more items on the menu. The specialty cocktails were interesting and good, beer selection was great, wine selection was fair.

I had a burger medium rare with pickled jalapenos on it, so good. The patty was med-rare not over cooked and the fries were crispy. The seared tuna salad was huge, the portions were large and good. My only complaint would be I asked for hot tea and they didnt have any plain black tea in all the choices. Since its a medium sized restaurant in a tourist town, it fills up quick but turnover is normally no longer then a 30 minute wait. The staff is nice and the cooks know what theyre doing.

Bricks is located downtown in quaint Placerville. Parking on the street and directly across the street from the restaurant. Great location, wonderful atmosphere. Great bar + restaurant! I had the ground lamb burger and an aged beer. Cant find those in typical restaurants. The aged beer was great and something that I have never had before.The price is a little higher than typical bar and grill but the quality of food and service is pretty high here. Great food in a relaxed environment. Took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. Shared the venue with families with young kids, small groups, and other couples. We had Brussel sprouts starter and side salads as well as a coupleof beers (they have a nice variety on tap). Our entrees - Shrimp Victor and Mamarosa - were both rich and flavorful. The portions were very generous and we left stuffed. Unfortunately, we couldnt try any desserts. As other reviews mentioned it can be noisy inside, but we had no problem carrying on a conversation.

Along with not having a handicap-accessible thing, they said there is no reservation were unprepared for our party, and said that there is no reservations only Fastpass. The sandwich was very good but the planks were not as good as we have had in other places, not very sweet potato tasting. Overall, I noticed a menu change with the leaving out of some of my favorite choices. Their salad options arent as good for me as other places in town. I will be eating other places in the future. The food was exquisite: from their mixed green salad where the tomatoes tasted home grown to their Ribeye, Filet Mignon and Shrimp Victor. Even the veggies were cooked to perfection. Not a ton of oil or over cooked. They were slightly crisp and oh so naturally delicious. We will go back on our next trip to Apple Hill and Placerville.

I’ve enjoyed this restaurant until yesterday. The service was terrible with my order coming back wrong, a rude busboy, then an argument from the cook via the waitress on why I would order the gluten free bread if there’s a layer of wheat on the tomatoes... who cares? I’m paying extra for it! But I didn’t say that and I was nice and my reward was burnt bread and obviously stale and rubbery sweat potato fries when I finally received my order. I’m taking the hint and I will never come back or recommend the place again. If yesterday was my first visit there would be one star for the service and meal that I took home to my dog (poor dog) but I’m giving two stars in (recent) memory of the other great meals I’ve had there.

Good selection of beers, really good burgers but theyre a little on the hipster side.If you want a mushroom burger with bacon, you might find it here, but its going to be glamorized in some fashion. I ordered the Little Bo Peep, which is lamb if yall couldnt put that together. It was really good, but it didnt scratch that burger itch for me. It was everything in the shape of a burger, but it didnt taste like a burger. But it was lamb, you say... Yeah I know it was lamb, I knew what I was getting myself into when I ordered it. My birthday was yesterday and I chose to have my dinner at Bricks because of outstanding experiences Ive had their in the past. Last night was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredible, our waiter/bartender from Australia was great! They were so on top of every detail. I cannot express my sincere gratitude for this staff enough. There were several items I wanted to try, which lends me to want to come back. However, -1 star (for me) just because the acoustics of the location made it quite noisy. Hard to hear conversations at the table. Add that star back if you want a happening crowd vibe.

After some slow and intense travel in the snow and rain of the Sierras, this was just the perfect meal. Stopped in on the way home for a New York steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The steak had so much flavor and tasted great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and there was so much color with all the different veggies. The stacked mashed potatoes were good. I even got a bowl of French Onion soup to start off the meal - this may have been my favorite part. Great restaurant with great food.

Outstanding food and libations! Bricks has a simple menu of American comfort foods, but elevated and refined. Clearly Bricks has a very good chef. Check out the large selection of craft beers on tap. The staff members are likeable and genuinely friendly. Be sure and try one of their signature cocktails. The Pear Martini is love at first sip 🍸❤ The locals round out the atmosphere at Bricks with laughs and enjoyable conversation. Did I mention the food is excellent? An immensely enjoyable way to spend an evening.

Good food, and a 5 star beer selection; however, it is so noisy you cannot have a conversation sitting across a table. So, if you like to snuggle up next to your dining partner, I definitely recommend. If youre going out for conversation, maybe take your order to go?

For me this restaurant has the BEST cheese-burgers in town and you might as well say the same about the fries. The burgers are prepared with the finest beef truly cooked to order. The fries are double cooked and the portions are large. I may eat at another restaurant occasionally but when the burger-mood strikes this is where I go...

Was not impressed with the over priced processed meat french dip I got, they dont even use real roast beef! Also, I asked the bartender to recommend a good wine and without telling me the price poured me a 12.00 glass of Pinot Noir that I wasnt found of at all. She never asked how my food or wine was and I left it full. A good bartender knows to take something like that off the bill. I wont be back and if this is what norcal considers good food I will be eating in a lot lol

Bricks is located in the Historic Downtown city of Placerville, the location and ambiance of the restaurant is excellent. Beyond that the service was also exceptional, our waiter was very nice and attentive. The meals were great as well, all the dishes were plated quite nicely and their appearance went well with the taste. If you are I. The mood for some good American Food with good service and you are in the Placerville area, Bricks is a great option.

There are not many dining choices in Placerville but Bricks always comes through! Weve lived here a few years now and have frequented Bricks many times. I have never had a bad meal! My go-to is the fish and chips, my husbands is the patty melt. Both are great and if you sub a side salad its nice and fresh.
