This is a beautiful country club with first class amenities. The US Open course has just been refurbished and while it needs to still grow in a bit it is a clean and crisp course and will have some of the best conditions for golf in the area when its all said and done. A very enjoyable day on the golf course.

The Braemar Country Club events team is amazing! I attended a birthday party (150 people in attendance) and everything was so smooth! The food was delicious and the staff was awesome. I loved that there were different areas to hang out (both indoors and outdoors). Its such a beautiful setting!

We held our charity golf tournament at Braemar this past Monday. It was our first time at this course, and I can tell you definitively, it wont be our last! The staff here was incredible. They all went above and beyond to make sure our event ran smoothly. With any new golf course, there were a couple of minor day-of hiccups, but the way they handled them spoke volumes. The entire team was always ready to jump into action at a moments notice. Any request from myself or my team was met with a can-do attitude, and nobody ever made us feel like we were an inconvenience. They also dont nickel and dime for every item like some other courses. They truly brought us a red carpet experience, and I cant recommend them enough. A special thank you to Ronni, Cesar, Nick, JC, and Marisol for such wonderful customer service. You and the rest of your staff truly made our event a success!

Very fancy. I can’t imagine what the dues are but it’s a nice place for hosting and event like a wedding reception or gathering. Fried was mostly good (the buffet chicken was a tad over cooked and hard). But the views of the hillsides make up for it.

This was a great spot with an amazing golf course. I was there for a charity event and the food was great, customer service was excellent and the overall layout was awesome.The course is pretty challenging & you can use golf carts. The event came with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excellent time, at an excellent venue.

I had a terrible experience here. We started our daughter on weekly tennis lessons as non-members. We missed a few weeks because of weather and sickness and when we came back Amanda Saxe told me they changed the program to members only. Very rude.

Great club! They have a brand new gym with thoughtful instructors. The tennis membership gives you access to ~20 courts + pickle ball courts and clinics. The tennis staff is kind and helpful. Also, The Xsocial is worth every penny! #happyMember

The Braemer Country Club, on Reseda Blvd, along the rolling hills in Tarzana is just perfect. As well a great golf club it offers great food and just perfect atmosphere. Of course as a golf club it has full member facilities including golf, tennis, swimming, dining (breakfast, lunch and dinner), fitness, basketball and even a kids club where you can leave them to join in on fun activities including, games, arts and crafts, and even movies, while you enjoy the clubhouse facilities. My son-in-law, a member at Braemer, tells me that as well as private parties, the Club private dining rooms are great to run business functions. Had lunch there with my daughter who lives in Encino and we sat outside on the balcony having lunch while over looking the beautiful and well kept green courses. Just so relaxing !!!

My husband and I have been members at Braemar for about 25 years but have primarily used the golf facilities and Grill Room. Last weekend, I hosted a baby shower at the Club in the Valley View room. Food was delicious, staff was attentive, and it was a lovely afternoon to celebrate with the beautiful views.Everything ran very smoothly with the only hitch being the bar service. The wait staff, especially Darbie, made up for that inconvenience. Our guests were very happy and my daughter, pregnant with twins, was delighted with the wonderful party atmosphere at the Club.

Great course. Narrow fairways and small greens. Accuracy on the tee shots is critical. Course knowledge will definitely improve your strokes by half. Played US Open and Western Courses.

We chose Braemar as the site for our twin daughters quinceañera. Our theme was Alice in Wonderland. We were aiming for a world of color and Braemar delivered. Our event director, Ronni Baird, was on board with our vision from day 1. Not only did she see what we were hoping to accomplish but she contributed her own amazing ideas which were a hit. Ronni is friendly, a quick thinker, a visionary, and just an overall great person. On the day of the event, some of our colorful tablecloths blended in a bit too much. Of course, Ronni had thought ahead and ordered an extra color just in case. She reset our tables and they look fabulous with the color additions. She was there every step of the away and offered any way possible to make our lives easier.On the night of the event, the staff was just awesome. They were friendly to our guests, they were present for whatever we needed, and they were just really, really fun!This is our second time using Braemar for a party and we cant recommend it enough.

I cannot tell you how impressed I was with Braemar Country; I recently threw a baby shower for a friend. It was smooth sailing from start to finish with the event coordinator, Ronni. I loved the day of the event because the staff was so excited for us too and we were treated as royalty. I just like to share some details of how they treat their members. My stepfather signed up for a membership and immediately couldnt go because he fell ill. Cancer. To make a long story short he paid months for a membership and never went to the club once. When we found out we sent an email to cancel the membership which was ignored. They sent him only one note before they went to collection. And they still want him to pay 30 more days of membership from the time we officially canceled despite paying membership for month and never going. They did not even inquire how he was doing. Check your contracts. Know what youre getting into. Because there is no kindnes or mercy here.

Top notch County Club. I have attended a few catered events and the venue was better than the food. No horrible but I have had much better. My chicken was good but my wife said something was not right with her fish. It didnt sit well with her for a few days. The wine served was good and I am picky.All in all, if you can hold an event there, it is a beautiful place.

Been a member here over a year now, and the club has definitely exceeded my expectations. We started off with an amazing Holiday party, and invited around 100 guests. Everything was planned & organized professionally, and more importantly everyone had a great time. The golf course is beautiful, but challenging to say the least! I enjoy many of the other perks associated with ClubCorp too, which are more than I have time to write about. Overall, phenomenal value.

Its a Beautiful place with an Amazing view. I have the tennis membership, and I really love it. The restaurants there are very, very good and its nice to go there after playing some tennis. They even have a clean pool with a bar near it with some nice drinks and refreshments. I would recommend this place to anyone who can afford really beautiful, and you wont regret it.

NOT A GOOD CLUB!!! I called and was told they did not have kids tennis lesson. I called back a week later and I was quoted lessons and the price for a month - $160 with a private lesson included for our 11 year old son. After signing the contract, they called me a week later and told me I was quoted the wrong price. It was much more. Someone made a mistake in the pricing. They did not honor the price of $160 and Amanda Saxe, who I was dealing with who works in the tennis administration was rude and very unprofessional. Stay as far away from Braemar Country Club as possible. We will not go back. Very poorly handled and people didnt seem to know what they were doing.

Attended a friends wedding and reception at this place. The service was outdoors and no shade, fortunately it was a short service. The reception was very nice, tasty food and friendly service. The DJ kept things moving along and played some great music. Fun night.

Not a segregated country club. A very good country club with an active membership, good food and beautiful grounds. We have been members here for about 20 years and have never had problems because of our race. My son was on the Junior golf team, my daughter plays tennis, I go to the fitness club and the Grill for dinner frequently, I host parties and meetings here, my club has meetings here and we are all African Americans and have never had a problem at all at Braemar. There are many members of different races and ethnicities here, a diverse membership, and have not heard nor have I witnessed any problems.

I am not a member, nor can I cannot comment on the golf facilities or course, but as a tennis player I swear by this place. The tennis facility is completely remodeled and fantastic. Came out just to watch a USTA tournament in April, 2019 and it is amazing compared to before. The seating areas are incredible. This IS a members club, however, so you must be a member to purchase food or beverages courtside (or be with a member), but I am looking forward to playing another tournament here in the future, or just coming to watch.

They sold me a membership with a discounted deal, in hopes of remodeling the place soon, the tennis courts are mostly cracked and has slopes, they were supposed to finish remodeling in April 2018, but we are in mid-July and theyre still working on it. After one year of my membership they raised the fee for an extra $100 without notifying me and they never mentioned that in the contract. Whenever you call them they rarely answer. The gym is pretty dead and its as good as a small old gym on Ventura blvd. Way too expensive for the service you are getting.

So here is the scoop on Braemar. We spent many years here. Great views and a nice golf course, but this facility is run by a pair of hostile, rude and elitist Managers. Beware especially of the new abrasive General Manager (a clown) and his counterpart Membership Director woman (a Braemar relic). Their fake smiles quickly disappear after you sign the dotted the line. They run this Club with an iron fist, arrogantly pushing around staff and members alike. This sad defect heavily outweighs any of the positives this business may have to offer. Braemar would be served better by investing in smarter hiring, rather than squandering their resources on renovations, and misleading reviews. Not unexpectedly, failing Braemar feels cold and deserted with exception to their historical geriatric clientele. If you are considering an event at Braemar or even a membership, be sure to speak first-hand to a real customer for authentic feedback. You may be surprised.

Ive been a member at this Country Club since last year. Just in the short time that Ive had the pleasure of playing golf here, Ive seen some really nice upgrades take place. Theyve added a full bar by the pool, and renovated the entire area with chaise lounge chairs, etc. They recently beefed up the security to, which keeps the course exclusive. They also boasts 27 challenging holes (which are usually wide open), plus a driving range with multiple levels to hit from. The feel of it resembles being on the course itself, especially since you can hit off the grass. Id also like to point out that their restaurant onsite is incredible. I think the employees also had my member # memorized before I did, and always great me by name. My favorite part are the ClubCorb benefits. I can play at clubs all over the world, and get into private events & venues like Magic Castle in Hollywood for example. I looked around before joining Braemar, and I can honestly say that youll get your best bang for the buck here!

Braemar Country Club, I also would not recommend anyone to consider membership, or doing business with this place.We live nearby in Encino. In the past, our family (with 4 young kids) were social members at Braemar. One time I mailed my monthly dues check 10 days late, so they sent my account to a collections company! The club catered only to their core 80+ year old golfers. We quickly worked out that all their social events are attended by 70-80-year-old golfers only, and that there is an old, rude, nasty British lady Manager, that polices the club, and harasses the few new, younger families. No atmosphere, most new members cancel within their first year, place mostly deserted, 30% hidden fees on holding an event. Fast forward to Summer 2017 – I came to the pool twice as a guest, to re-evaluate the club. I was amazed to see the same abrasive British lady policing the area, inspecting everyone like an old head-mistress (and she works in membership?). Apparently, Braemar is on their third General Manager in three years (the new one Wingo, was promoted from a job in the restaurant?), large padlocks on the locked deserted basketball court, rude/condescending managers, no towels, filthy changing rooms. Most people I chatted with, told me they plan to cancel their new membership at the end of summer. Seems like nothing has changed. Braemar Country Club is a strange place, that simply cannot (or does not care to) get its act together. I gather their business relies on one-off events and charity golf tournaments, rather than local community membership.

I will not recommend anyone to consider membership or doing business with this place. I am a local resident and join the club, signed their contract in good faith. For months and months there were fraudulant activities on our membership, charges on our statement, occured NOT by us. Our membership and information was used by a third party! the club was not only the least helpful taking action to correct it, the manager, Wingo was extremely rude. We had no choice but to resign, they are still pusuing their charges. I spoke to a few others in the same situation. Please be careful, there are other negative comments about how this club handles their fees and charges....please read and take them in consideration before joining.... protect your identity . . I dont wish any of our neighbors to be in this situation. its typical that this comment will be followed by all star positive comments... again be careful.

This place is a very nice place on the heart of tarzana with a lot of good views and contains arrangements to do a lot of things like golfing, tennis and swimming as well as restuarant which is also a good choice for weekend option of kids open for everyone and a fun place for adults. Went to this quite few times with grandma, uncle as well as my mom-dad plus siblings. So its a real fun place with real world fun where you can do stuffs with makes sense not a place like sitting around and just playing with a mobile or using social media plus gives you the chance to capture cityscapes as well as the panaromic view all around.

I could not be more pleased! I became a member strictly because of Braemar Country Clubs central location in the San Fernando Valley, and wow! I have been pleasantly surprised by the genuine warmth, graciousness, kindness, and care of both the professional staff, as well as my brother and sister members. Having been a guest at numerous private country clubs, I expected the cliquishness and good ol boy network that makes new initiates unwelcome.Again, humbly amazed, I have been welcomed. . .from the Membership Directors (Janine Walker and Erin Kennedy) to the expert and etiquette driven wait staff, to every member I have had to pleasure to be introduced, to the warm and engaging GM Ryan Wingo; and wonderfully, even enveloped in goodness by our star in the making bartender Jon!There is such a warm, family-driven atmosphere. . . and on a Friday night you will be overwhelmed with the sounds of gleeful children, enjoying dinner with their parents in the clubhouse restaurant. . .does it get any better.I am perplexed by the negative comments, seems there are folks who would seek to spoil sweet milk. . .Curmudgeons will be sorely disappointed. This is more than a golf club. It is a warm haven in this very lonely city that we live in.I look forward to deepening friendships and ridin Harley Davidsons with the Executive Chef, and the bartender, and my new golf and tennis buddies. . .all in an idyllic and familial aureole.Is this heaven?

Don’t believe the fake positive reviews on this failing club. After years of membership at this nauseating Braemar Country Club, we are finally cancelling this wasteful membership. Long overdue. The club enjoys a pretty location and nice golf course, but unfortunately this fish stinks awfully from its head. The misguided appointment of the repugnant Mr. Wingo to the GM position was the final straw for the younger club members. What was ClubCorp thinking? This inept and abhorrent character runs Braemar Country Club Kim Jong-un style, resulting in a rapid membership attrition. Clearly neither he, or his equally repulsive membership Director Mrs. Walker, are compensated based on member recruitment or member retention. They could not care less. The loyal senior citizen base that frequents Braemar remains oblivious. Braemar Country Club = 1 star at very best. A loser.

I agree with the other Google reviewers that Braemar Country Club Tarzana is a not a place to spend your hard-earned money. We were members here for the last Nine years, mostly for the period that the nice Mike N. served here as the General Manager. Unfortunately, this Tarzana club is now managed by a rude and hostile person (Ryan W.) and an equally rude and hard-nosed team. (e.g. the Membership Director old lady). Non-Caucasians, and young families will be made to feel that they are not welcome here. Considering holding an event here, or signing up for tennis? The pretty mountain views are tempting, but take it from a Braemar member here, you may want to avoid the painful humiliation, and look elsewhere…
