We enjoyed a wonderful private tasting with Sandee as part of my daughters bachelorette celebration in Sonoma. She provided us a great education on B.R. Cohn and introduced us to several delicious wines. As a wine club member, I knew it would be our partys favorite stop of the day! We hope to come back soon.

Came here for a wine tasting event. It was alright. Nothing special. The parking lot was full, so they must be doing something good. The wine was okay, nothing was worth buying. The advertised BBQ they had was cheap and not worth it. It was a little plate that was over priced, full of cheap beans.They were understaffed. But what place isn’t. At least the staff tried the best they could. I am not blaming the experience on them. Just the wine. They could do better.

Cool spot, you can tell the owner has a rock-n-roll vibe. We went midday and there was (very chill) live music in the background. Our server, Michael, was fun to chat with about the local wine scene/food hotspots we should hit (shoutout to Salt & Stone!).4 stars since B.R. Cohn felt corporate to me, and I enjoy finding smaller family-run hidden gems. Additionally, we did not get to taste a single-estate wine as part of their regular flight, which I was looking forward to potentially tasting.

Super beautiful, super fun, super friendly! The staff here were so nice, made us right at home, and taught us about the winery and the wines. Our guy helped us choose wines based on our preferences. There is a wine club, if thats your thing. There is gorgeous outdoor seating. On site is an olive orchard. Tastings of the oil, vinegars, and balsamics are free. Delicious!!! Stop by, youll be so glad you did!

BR Cohn is consistently been a great stop on any tour weve made of Sonoma Valley -- beautifully crafted wine in a great space. We had a lovely tasting today with our niece who turned 21 a couple of weeks ago and our guide Sandy couldnt have been more accommodating in terms of taking time to help her understand the wine. Alway a super friendly spot.

We love the atmosphere here, but it was super busy. They had an event going on, and there was no parking. It seemed because there was an event going on the workers working weren’t quite up to speed on the wine tasting experience. It seemed rushed and hurried and not personal. I am hoping it’s because of the event. I probably won’t go back. This is not the first time we’ve been here. The first experience was way better.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds. Came here for an event with ~75 people. The vinyard was amazing and we got to watch the sun set behind the hills.The food was delicious and the area where we had the event was great! Lots of space behind the winery to hangout and enjoy yourself as well as a great view of the vineyard.

First and foremost, WOW at the incredible views that this place has. The entire property is bursting with life and fresh green plants, leaving you looking all 360° for even a glimmer of something that isnt perfect. You wont find it, because it doesnt exist. This place is GORGEOUS. Now lets talk wine 🍷 its DELICIOUS. I prefer the Pinot Noir, because of the nice smokey flavor, but all of the reds were fantastic. Not going to lie, I walked out with a few bottles.

Loved this vineyard! Great white wines and unbeatable atmosphere. Would deff recommend going on the weekend for their wood fire pizza. So yummy!! Cheese plate isn’t worth the month though wold not recommend that. BUT is dog friendly so will be bringing my puppy next time :)

We went for tasting. Beautiful space. Half the wines were nice, the others had too much oak for my liking. Everyone has their own palate. We were able to taste the Semillon. A nice surprise to have semillon in No California. The host was unsure where the grapes were from. Regardless, it was a nice wine and a nice treat among all the reds on a warm day. Also, my opinion, $55 for the estate tasting was way overpriced.

My husband & I wine taste often. We’re members at wineries in Napa Valley but also frequent wineries all over California. This was our first time in Glen Ellen and unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. We were sat outside and our server VERY briefly greeted us and poured our first wine. There was no explanation, no conversation, nothing. Maybe some don’t mind that, but we actually enjoy hearing about the wines and engaging with our servers. That is how the rest of the tasting went… he’d come out, tell us which wine he was pouring then walk off. I’m only giving 2 stars because the grounds are beautiful. We really enjoyed walking around and taking in the views. Really wish we had a better experience.

I think they don’t understand the basic idea of a cooler with ice! This is so disrespectful, you don’t serve the wine warm just because is a tour and you don’t care… Never coming back !!

This was our first stop wine tasting in Sonoma/Napa and we loved our experience with Nick! He is so knowledgeable and friendly, he MADE the tasting fun and informative. He was wonderful at checking in at all the right times despite being in charge of a few tables at once. The wine at BR Cohn also wowed us throughout the tasting- we dont typically like Chardonnays but theirs is so good we took bottles home.The only thing I would suggest to change is the Bento boxes- we got the chicken one and it was a fresh, delicious salad bowl with chicken. But the term Bento box is misleading as there was nothing remotely Japanese about the food. We also stopped by their store and picked out some olive oils and vinegars- theyre not doing tastings now due to COVID but were excited to try when we get home!

This was, by far, the most underwhelming tasting experience I’ve had since moving to Sonoma County. Despite a fairly empty tasting room, service was slow and inconsistent. The group two tables down received a full history of the vineyard including the interesting music history. They also had a fairly comprehensive discussion about the wines. Our pourer was little more than that…someone who barely memorized some brief tasting notes, but had no knowledge of the winemaking processes used to make each wine, the provenance of the grapes, or even the faintest idea about the winery’s total production. The wines themselves were fine, but nothing extraordinary or interesting to set them apart from the other average wineries in the area. A good story goes a long way in the enjoyment of wine, and we were offered nothing.The woman in the Provisions shop didn’t know how to log into the computer and was unable to check us out for an olive oil purchase. Oh yeah, olive oil is also a part of the estate’s production that we heard nothing about. I was really disappointed by this experience.I will note that it’s a beautiful property, and we enjoyed our brief walk around.My recommendation is to take your $70 in tasting fees (for two people), buy a really nice bottle of wine, and enjoy it while you read about this winery on their website…and plan visits to other wineries in Sonoma County.

Was a member for several years. We fell in love due to the nature of the staff, the venue, and overall wines (mostly their white wines and rose!). However a recent visit was truly disappointing. Apparently, being a member doesnt grant you free tastings without an appointment anymore. Also, a staff member rolled her eyes right in front of me when I said that Id been offered this exact thing in a (written) exchange earlier that week from a different staffer. Maybe it was a bad day, maybe they were overworked. But not the experience you expect when youre a member. Sadly, weve cancelled our membership after 5+ years.

We used to come here often back in the day. Came out here today to support our friend Playing at the winery 🍷, it was a beautiful day . We took our own snacks but got reprimanded by staff, no outside food allowed so we packed our snacks and went to the counter they had however with my food allergies, i couldnt get anything they had . Note a salads with nuts or a wrap with more nuts and crackers was the only food they had today.

This is the second time I have visited BR Cohn and probably my last. 😕. The wines are good and the property is spectacular but trying to get any employee’s attention was difficult. I had a reservation, arrived on time and stood waiting in the tasting room for about 5 minutes. There were 3 employees behind the bar, walking by and one was sitting at a computer, facing guests. No one acknowledged me and my guest. There was 1 other customer inside as well, purchasing wine. Finally I said, “can we taste some wine, we have a reservation.” One gal said “oh yeah, she will help you and pointed at the gal sitting down at the computer.” That gal handed us off to an older gentleman who followed us out and seated us. He was personable and attentive but after our third taste he said he was going to lunch and someone would probably come out to give us our last taste, but if not, go inside and ask someone.” No one came out after about 10 minutes so we went inside. No one acknowledged us, 3 employees behind the bar, no one else in the tasting room. I said, “can we get our last pour, our guy went to lunch.” An employee poured and gave us some standard description of the wine. Zero conversation about what we liked, how was our day going, nothing. I showed my friend the pretty grounds and we left. When I visited 3 years ago, it was the same. But least it was busy that day. NO one helped us and we only got one pour that day in 15 minutes so we left. Looks like nothing has changed. 😕

What a lovely place!! Our first time there was wonderful, the employees were very welcoming. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The wine tasting was done outside under the olive trees. We followed up with sampling the olive oils and actually joining the olive oil club. The wine is definitely pricey. Loved hearing the story of how it all came to be. ($30) They had a reservation available for us when we waited til the last minute to book. I liked there was vinegar and olive oil tasting, but two of the six bottles were empty. What a great time to leave the City for the open sky’s of Sonoma. B.R. Cohn always offers a relaxing spot to think and while away the time while sipping some great tasting wines. Our favorite winery of our girls trip! We made a reservation for this winery because we had a 2-for-1 coupon and it was close to our rental house. SO glad we did! Amazing wines, absolutely incredible staff, and GORGEOUS property! Jenna took great care of us and was soooo welcoming and personable. The whole vibe of this place was relaxed and happy. Bought the Sonoma County Tasting pass which gave us 4 vineyard tastings. We enjoyed this one the most for its laid back, but beautiful setting along wth delicious wine. Seriously yummy wine. No clunkers! Lots of seating options. Crackers and gourmet cheese were so good! Great ambiance, good service, did I say beautiful views? Didnt want to leave. Glad we arrived early (10:30 am) because wine trolly showed up. No problem tho with lots of seating. Took stroll around and enjoyed posters inside of Mr. Cohns rock and roll life, as well as a walk down to see vines. Dont miss this one! Cheers!

That could’ve likely been due to the club event that was going on. We ended up joining the wine club and purchased 8 bottles so it was also a bit disappointing to have to split pours at the end due to “legally” only being allowed 5-6 pours each.

What a wonderful experience! I brought some out-of-town guests to BR Cohn and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. From the great views to the awesome wine to the personalized and friendly service, it was a great wine country experience. I highly recommend visiting this winery - oops, almost forgot - be sure to sample the olive oils and balsamic vinegars - the champagne balsamic is my favorite. This is a must-do when visiting Sonoma wine country.

Overall this winery was great. Went for a wedding and the venue was magical. Cab was bold l, rose was also good. My only complaint. The long steep back staircase to the vinyard can use a hand rail. We had to drive some family down. It was stressful given the reception was at the bottom. Still the views made it a nice night.

I fell in love with BR Cohn and joined as member because of their amazing customer service! They have literally treated us like family from day one. Even though they often have big groups that show up, they accommodate all guests with smiles and serve with professionalism. Id truly recommend them as a wine club to join on the Sonoma side. Theyve never pressured any of my guests to join, but their wine and customer service stands out with memorable warmness, that my guests are inclined and want to be a part of this winery.

Rude employee who at first did not want to give us fresh glasses between each wine we tasted. She begrudgingly brought water for us to rinse our glasses between tastings. She was stingy with the pours telling us that it was because we had already been tasting at 2 other wineries. She knew this because we had hired a company to put together a tour of three wineries for us and BR Cohn was our third stop. The tour included a driver!! We were NOT over served at the first two wineries. She was ridiculous. Because of the employee’s attitude we did not enjoy the wine or the winery and we did not purchase any to ship home.

Average wine and olive oil, interesting 25 yr old balsamic vinegar. Their tasting ends at 3:30 despite closing at 5pm. It’s a corporate operated winery so they are strict about that timeline. We ordered two wines by the glass, average, nothing special. Their olive oil had grassy undertones, did not impress. The vinegars had more interesting flavors. Their 25 yr old aged balsamic vinegar was surprisingly tasty and was similar to a nicely done balsamic reduction. It ended up being the only thing we took home.

Been going to Napa and many vineyards for years and considered joining a wine club but only found 2 or 3 bottles in total per vineyard with a great tasting wines. Until this Vineyard! I went on a wine flight and the first glass was a Pinot Noir (but I always enjoy reds) ... I was delightfully surprised to see that I loved it! Luke was an incredible host! He had a great delivery and provided information about the wine, winery and membership without seeming pushy. We were there for a 3:30 tasting on a Saturday, there was a wedding party coming in so we could not walk around the grounds and we were being rushed out. Terrible experience after I made a reservation two weeks in advance, specifically asked for a sitting with a view and when we arrived 15mins before our reservation the guy told us they were no sitting outside. My wife and I loved, loved this winery. We came by on a Monday afternoon and despite not having a reservation we were accommodated. We sat in their large outdoor area next to some cabanas. The view was spectacular. The rolling hills in the back were beautiful. It had the best view of all the wineries we visited in Sonoma. And to think that the tasting room is normally indoors. Apparently, the outside is used for music venues or other events. We loved their Pinot and their Cabernet Sauvignon and took bottles of each. The staff was friendly an everyone was socially distancing and wearing a mask when appropriate. Well definitely be back when were in Sonoma.

Had tasting appointment for 3pm. Was told to let them know if traffic would make us late. We Did. We were arriving from Pismo Beach, CA - about 5 hours away. Traffic and accidents did get the best of us…we text the winery at around 1pm that gps said a 3:35 arrival. No response. Later we updated to 3:48. No response. The service was excellent but I was a little disappointed with the food. Presentation was good but portions were a bit small and some of the flavors were too unusual and not for everyone. Wine selections and pairings worked well but a dessert wine tasting would have been nice. You should add some BR Cohn Carmel sauces to the tables for dessert.

BR Cohn was recommended by an industry insider, so we tried it out. Pulling into the drive, the views are incredible. What an amazing place. Unlike a lot of vineyards, they instantly made us feel welcome, and at home. The wines are incredible, the staff is amazing, and the grounds are not to be believed. They also have entertainment on the weekends, and sitting among the olive trees listening to music with great wines is not a bad way to spend a day.

Not a bad place, just left a bad taste. The wine was middle of the road, as youd expect from a touristy commercial vineyard. The place charges for water (not a lot @$1.50 a bottle, but we visited 15 wineries over a week trip and no where else charged, just seemed tacky, a bit like the whole place). We were also rushed out since the Wine Trolley made a stop (We had reservations, including charcuterie, which they were sold out of (They did promptly issue us a refund without us asking which was decent of them)) Also several tables around us got an extra taste of another wine they had open, but I guess we didnt pass the extra taste bar? Cold and unwelcoming experience. Made our reservation online and when we arrived we were treated as an inconvenience rather than guests. The wine is fine, and the views are nice. However, It is not a tasting, they pour four very small carafes and then just drop them at your table, no explanation or anything. Also the tasting tray is supposedly for two people (you have to pour yourself) - so when they say it is 25 dollars for one person, it is really 50 per tasting tray (which I find to be shady and overpriced). We also preordered the cheese plate, which is indeed local cheese, but they don’t plate it at all. They literally give you a box of crackers, and two blocks of cheese. The cheese was good, but this is certainly not what anyone thinks of when they think of a cheese plate. Very disappointed. Will not return, and will advise everyone I know to avoid this place.

I wish I could remember our sommeliers name - he was so incredibly friendly and soft spoken. We took a seat overlooking the stunning vineyard and the views were so breathtaking. We had a history lesson on the winery and about the owners current and past. The gift shop was closed when we went but the kind man serving us opened it for my friend and me to look around. I had purchased two tastings and later saw that they went on sale on Facebook for BOGO. Came in today to take advantage of a 2 for 1 tasting coupon we received about a week ago. It was a slow afternoon at the winery and its only about 25 mins from our house we was excited to try it. The coupon stated to book online, but same day reservations were not available when booking online, so it stated to call as there was 5 openings available. We called and no one answered. Called again, no answer so we decided to just come on down.When we arrived it was very quiet, only one table tasting outside and one inside. We talked to the cashier and said we came for a tasting. And explained no one answered and it wasnt available online. She called to her coworker and asked if she was done with lunch. She was and then the cashier asked if she could do a walk-in tasting. The second girl said yeah, then asked about what 2 for 1 coupon we had. We showed her and she stated that you need to book it online and that you need to pay for a full price tasting for two people before you can use that coupon for a 2 for 1. The coupon from BR cohn, states nothing of the matter. We showed her again, and even went online and showed that we could book a tasting for today and the total for two people with the coupon would be $35 plus tax. She still stated that was not possible, we had to buy two full tastings at full price of $35 each before we are allowed to use this coupon. Again, no where on the terms does it states this. It appears the girl could not comprehend the situation, so we just decided to scratch br cohn off of our list and just leave.Seriously, the staff should be educated on the current promotions and not try to argue with something so clear in black and white on a br cohn issues coupon. Give me a break!

I love wine tasting at BRCohn. This is the 5th time I have been in Glen Ellen and I have gone to their tasting room each time. The wine consultants are knowledgeable and never have pressured me to make purchases or join the wine club. Their white wines, in my opinion are very drinkable but their best wines are the reds. Wonderful experience at B.R. Cohn and with Luke today! From pulling into the parking lot there was plenty of parking (no electric charging) and easy to find right off the main road! When we walked in we were immediately greeted and told we would start at the bar with our guide Luke. We met Luke who was very welcoming and immediately offered us to start with a glass of champagne. The B.R.Cohn that you see in the supermarket is not representative of their fine wines which are world class. We went to Sonoma/Napa last week. B.R. Cohn was our first stop because we fell in love with their Silver Label Cabernet Sauvignon. Beautiful grounds. Sonoma and Napa vineyards are very different when it comes to the culture and atmosphere. You will also here this from the people who work at the vineyards. I was expecting a little bit more from this winery from the tour & tasting experience. We had a simple one-on-one tour (because we were the only ones there), but I guess I was expecting more. Also, I think they could do a better job at their olive oil tasting. They just have their olive oils set up in the gift store, and you go and taste it if you want. I think they could maybe do a table seating for the olive oil tasting, and go through the tasting descriptions like they do the wine tasting. Im saying this because their olive oils were great! We brought home the balsamic vinegar and the California olive oil.

Although this place claims to be dog friendly,we brought our little dog here and they turned us away from a tasting. Had a wine tasting, nice venue for sure, but it didnt feel like a craft winery, it felt like a guy has alot of money and needed to invest it somewhere. Decent wines, but not great.

Great wine experience. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Great wines, beautiful grounds. Amazing views of the surrounding vineyards and hills. Loved seeing the Doobie Brothers pictures and gold records as well. Highly recommended.

Wine tasting experience was fantastic. Justin was our wine expert. We also got a tour of the winery and brief info about harvest and wine making. Favorite wine was the Chardonnay and the Merlot. I also think their balsamic vinegar was great

We are club members and had booked an 11am tasting reservation. When we got there, the tasting room was packed with people not wearing masks and there was not a table for our reservation. In this Covid environment, it didn’t feel safe and we left.

The barbeque from Novato Jerrys Downtown Barbeque had the best beef brisket!! But the service for our wine tasting was so so. The live 🎵 was pretty good, there was pleasant crowd - not to crowded & not to dull.

Great laid back atmosphere. Did their wine tasting, bought a glass of wine and then a bottle of their pinot gris. Live music was awesome and so were the bbqd oysters they had. Olive trees on the grounds provide an exceptional outdoor lounging experience.

Lovely winery in Sonoma valley. Good cabs and chardonnay. Also, locally produced olive oils. Pretty setting. Grab some cheese and crackers from the gift shop and enjoy a glass of wine.

Beautiful place, but that’s the only reason to go. The service wasn’t good, no history or the winery or property was given . The pours for the tastings were so small and it took about 20 minutes between them . Not a good experience.

$25 for a tasting... instead recommend buying a bottle of wine and asking for a couple tastings before selecting a bottle. Beautiful property but didnt love the wines. Olive oil tasting was nice

Just an easy afternoon, enjoying wine on their side porch. Jaylin was very attentive and gave very informative explanations of each wine. Each wine in the complementary tasting (I was with a wine club member) was memorable, with 4 bottles following me home. The Malbec additional tasting (we got lucky that Jaylin had an open bottle from a private tasting) was a highlight for us. The olive oil and vinegar sampling capped the afternoon. 10 bottles followed me home as well. Try the 15-year and fig balsamics and the dipping and unfiltered EVOO.

This winery is a lot of fun. They have events all the time and the wine is good. You can sit inside and taste or buy a glass and sit on the patio and enjoy the music.

We are never disappointed with a wine tasting at BR Cohn. Beautiful setting, friendly, attentive staff and good wine. If you have never visited, you should!
