We had fun food and drinks are really good! Loving the lighting and vibe, not too cold or hot temperatures. Con: The bowling balls are sticky and oily. Other than that no complains! Great physical and mental exercises. We will be back. The arcade looks neat too.

We brought some grade school kids to bowl a few games, but all the lanes were taken. We were put on the waiting list. So, we played several games in the arcade. Theres a good mix of new and classic arcade games in a small space. You can exchange tickets for prizes.Since the kids were hungry, we decided to go across the street to eat. Once we got settled into the restaurant and got a text that a lane was open, we decided not to go back to bowl. Nice bowling lanes with a restaurant inside.

We started coming every Monday for the unlimited bowl from 9-midnight and are hooked! It’s so close to home, always have lanes available, fun upbeat atmosphere and music. The bartender and staff are super friendly and having Bullard and arcade breaks in between bowling is a great options ❤️ 10/10 would recommend taking advantage of their special nights

We celebrated my daughters birthday there. It was fantastic. Our host, Silvia, was great. She was attentive and professional and took wonderful care of our party. The bowling was fun. The arcade was fun too. We had drinks and food which was really good. It was perfect for an adult night out celebrating. The facility was clean and everything was in working order. I would recommend this for a loud and fun night out.

This place is SO FUN. The pricing is straight forward, and because they have full service, you feel really taken care of. We had both Al and Jessie helping us out and they were both incredible. They made sure we had a great time. Jessie checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed in terms of food and drinks and Al helped us add time to our lane when we decided we wanted to stay longer. The arcade was fun to explore after we were done bowling, and the other patrons were super fun. It felt like we were all there together as one group rather than just with the people we came with. 10/10 experience.

Pool, bowling, an arcade. They do birthday events and the employees are nice. When biking, I prefer not to carry my lock; less of a hassle (in my pov) as well as less weight. There werent bike racks there anyway, but they were very nice and let me bring my bicycle inside! I dont look too happy in my selfie, but I was! Ha.

I come here all the time with my family and friends, this place has a great atmosphere. Great place to come bowl and grab a drink, they also have pool tables which is a plus. Great service overall, very helpful and friendly staff. They are also located in a very nice location with the Alameda Beach and South Shore Plaza right across the street. Highly recommend.

I havent been here in years but it has been way modernized since the last time I was here. The software on the lanes worked well, the arcade selection was decent, and the food was actually pretty good. Main negative about the food was they charged a fee for ordering on phone, and there was no way around it. Parking was easy also. Would recommend trying out if you havent been here in a while.

Bowlero is a family focus entertainment venue. Lanes can be equipped with gutter guards if so desired. Bowling balls are limited to fourteen pounds. A place to bowl with the family not too far from home. After losing Albany Bowl, this is one of the last ones standing. Tons of lanes. I like the food and atmosphere at Plank a little better, but Bowlero seems to always have lanes.

Great place to have fun, a bit pricey, and very disorganized . There were 4 chashiers open and a short line, but we had to wait 20 minutes to receive service. Then we waited 30 minutes to get a bowling lane, but there were several lanes available . Everyone was complaining about the service and long wait but didnt make a difference. Staff didnt bother to provide better service.

We organized a birthday party for our kid at Bowlero, and we were extremely satisfied with their services. Everything was set on time and the staff were extremely attentive and hardworking. The cookie cake they served was specially delicious. They took care of all the clean up afterwards. All we had to do was just show up! Would highly recommend for a birthday party for a group.

Straight up fraud. Highway robbery to reserve a lane. Al, the manager charged us twice for the drinks we got. Plus double for the drinks we never received. Super short staffed. Waited 45 minutes to get checked in for a reservation. Waited another 45 to talk to our server. 30 to get our drinks, came up 2 beers short, and gave us 2 fraudulent bills. Al is a piece of garbage. Check his numbers. Bowling is fun though. Unless they cut your game short for being late when it was their check in line that caused the delay.

I will start off with the positives! We came in on a Friday where it was really busy. We were lucky enough to be introduced with an employee named Vi! He had a very sweet smile and he talked to my daughter with enthusiasm and we really appreciated that. Once we got our lanes ready he gave us our shoes quickly and we went straight to bowling. We asked for the side rails to be raised and Vi got it immediately up for us. You can tell he was dealing with many things at once and I even saw him cleaning tables next to me.The only reason why this was not a 5/5 was because this place was obviously low staffed. I waited 1 and a half hours and we saw empty lanes and we were very confused. The food took about 30 minutes to come out and the food was good I just expected it to come out a little bit faster but I understand they were busy.

Lovely modern bowling alley right on the beach shoreline of Alameda. The family definitely enjoyed the arcade room full of modern and traditional games for all ages, the bar and food service was prompt and food fresh, and the bowling experience was truly the show stopper( compared to other lanes the areas are roomier and more practical for use) overall safe, clean, friendly, and fun.

I was very happy to find out this bowling alley had reopened and my first trip there was a great, safe time. My friend and I had a booth to ourselves, as per their policy, and it felt like a measured, sane, and reasonable return to normal, given the pandemic.I went there again 2x over the next 10 days and was let down. On both occasions, their posted policy was not practiced.They say that to protect customers, every adjacent lane is reserved. For social distancing and safetys sake.They say that balls are not shared between parties, for safetys sake.After the second visit where this was not the case, I asked the manager what was going on. I asked about the adjacent lane usage, and he told me there were too many customers to turn down.When asked about the second policy, of not having bowling balls shared between parties, he responded they have no way of enforcing this and that their policy should be changed.Its frustrating to be lied to and have reasonable protections neglected in the name of profit. Other businesses that abide by the mandates put in place are doing their part to promote a recovery from the pandemic. Bowlero is lying to customers and hurting other businesses in the process, by finding themselves exempt of their own stated policies when the money is there for the taking.I have had a lot of great times at this establishment. I want to continue to enjoy it. I just wish things were practiced as they are advertised.Note: Normally, Id rate this business 4-5 stars. Given the egregious violations, its a temporary 1-star. Until they practice what their stated policies assure customers.

I didnt bowl here. I just got a drink at the bar. Pricey beer. But an ok selection. As an amusement attraction i didnt expect value savings on prices. Tables were clean. Bathrooms were clean. They had pool tables. Juke box. A couple arcade games. I seen a bunch of people using the punching bag machine. That was cool. I dont know how to punch. Im scared I would hurt my hand. Over all, friendly. Too pricey to be a bar tho lol.

Went on a Tuesday and had a great experience. Loads of lanes free and reasonably priced. $7 shoe hire and $8 per game per person. Service was a little slow at the front desk for seemingly no reason, but I would definitely still go back! They also have a large arcade filled with different games and a bar (opens at 5pm) and food! Parking was fine, but I can see how it might get harder at the weekend since the alley is right next to the beach.

The outside of the bowling alley doesnt do the inside justice. Its a very modern and updated bowling rink. The monitors are new technology. The arcade has a lot of games with shooting basketball hoops and a air hockey to name a few. There is a bar and two pool tables. I would definitely go back.

They said will wait 1.5 hrs which we were ok with, although they had several open lanes avaliable. They stated it was for parties and reservations. We could have played and left for as long as some of those lanes were left open for. We had to actually wait about 2 hrs and 15 mins before being able to have a lane. They tried to sell us on a 3rd game for 7$ per person which would have been an additional 35$. Before we left we noticed a sign Sunday after 7pm unlimited bowling for 22$ per person they could have let us know that before starting since we already waited 2. Hrs and 15 mins if we would wait another 15 itll be a lot cheaper for us instead trying to capitalize on us. Everyone moved at a snails pace when it was clearly the business day. Bartender is having a 10 min conversation with a man while I had to wait 10 mins to order a red bull. Wont be back here

Great bowling alley. Super pricey. Nice fighting and great music most of the time. Great arcade area. Bar has nice set up and 3 pool tables. Drinks are good and strong. Tasty food options. Love the ability to order from your lane. Avoid on Friday and Saturday nights Its like a club scene unless thats what youre looking for. Great place for birthdays if you can do it during a deal. Not sure if there were ramps for wheelchairs or not. Restrooms are gender specific.

The bartender named Sam was so unprofessional we was sitting at the bar then told us we had to get up to make an order he told us we needed four ids for a drink we came back with a friend and he refused to serve us he said at this point he’s not going to serve us any drinks and after that he just ignored us and killed our whole vibe we just wanted to drink and bowl with our cousins and Sam the bartender made it an uncomfortable experience for for us he made us feel very unwanted and neglected I never want to come there again

Let me tell you, this place is a godsend! Took a friend to celebrate her birthday on one of the hottest days of 2022. Great place to escape the heat and lots of fun. Ok it is pricey to bowl so sadly I cant afford to do this regularly BUT I recommend it for a treat. The manager kindly offered some charge cards to use at the arcade as well. Drop by often to play the racing games. The food is pretty good too.

The pins are on wires now which dont feel much like a REAL bowling alley anymore :( Beware if you bring your own bowling shoes, the lanes get pretty messy since they serve food and drink to the lane. Otherwise, a fun night out and if you like to watch sports there are tons of huge screens above the lanes that show all major sporting events!

Coming in at 40 lanes, this place is big. The service is top notch with good food and large selection drinks. It looks a little shady from the outside but once youre inside its a totally different world.They have arcade games, multiple billiard tables, and fairly large bar. Drinks and food are served at your lane which is a nice change from having to listen to loudspeaker informing your food/drinks are ready to be picked up.My only issue is that the computer controlling the pins will randomly wipe out your score. But aside from the technical issues this place was a great spot. You can even hit the beach across the street if you get board of randomly loosing/winning.

The bowling alley was mediocre at best! I brought my own balls and after one frame they lost them in the back. It took 1 hour to retrieve them and somehow our balls were pretty much destroyed. It got chipped and COVERED in gunk! It looked like our balls went through a gum wall. Our custom balls couldnt even be used after this point. The balls now have to be professional cleaned but they will still have the chips in them. I understand stuff can happen but we didnt get any back from the bowling alley. We played 2 frames of bowling and the best thing they could so for us is not charge us for the game. So 1 hour and 2 balls that are unusable we got a free 2 frame game... Our balls were glossed and in perfect shape before we played here... Now they look like this.

Convenient location but kind of pricey. Pins are on wires (which seems to be a relatively recent development), though that’s not too unusual these days. But it doesn’t seem like the staff care about or understand how bowling works… emphasis is on ordering overpriced drinks rather than bowling (not the staff’s fault of course, I’m sure this comes from the top down).What really gets me is that we have twice been assigned to lanes right next to other bowlers while the bowling alley is almost empty, with tens of lanes available. Etiquette says you should wait for the lane next to you to bowl between frames, it slows everything down (and not everyone knows/observes the rules). Not a big deal in a full bowling alley, but patrons shouldn’t have to worry about that when there are literally only 2-3 lanes being used! Last time this happened we asked if they could spread folks out a bit more and were told that all the other lanes were reserved. We left 1.5 hours later and most lanes were still not being used, so obviously that wasn’t the case. For the price, it’s not worth it. I won’t be back.

We had my granddaughters 11th birthday there with 8 people. We took the LedgendsBirthday Package. At first I thought it was expensive per person but my experience proved it was well worth the money. Everyone had a great time. Manager was very accommodating, food delicious and plentiful, alleys great, and arcade was enjoyed by all. Everything was included even the cookie cake. I give the experience a 5 plus and would definitely go back for a family outing.

The manager of the place is cool and he understands. If you go to this place do not get lane 31 or 32 the pin rack doesnt work all the time and these lanes turn off on there own with no announcement. Waiting 20 minutes or longer then having our game reset forget it we left.

This place has decided to price gauge. $40 dollar per person on a sunday night for three games is absolutely insane. Plank in Oakland is a way better facility, better lanes, better balls and it’s homehow cheaper than this. We walked out immediately and used to enjoy coming here. What an absolute shame. Imagine going with 5 people and spending $200 for bowling. That’s a joke.

My two friends and I went out to smoke and talk on the phone at 11:15pm and when we tried getting back in at 11:30pm, the security didn’t let us in even though we had 5 rounds left on our lane and the place closes at 12am. I barely got in because I had a jacket in there and told them to let me in to get my jacket at least. They didn’t let my two friends in though.When I got back in, I talked to the workers about the situation and they let all three of us back in but the security still fought me and the other workers. The one security kept saying we were out for 30 mins and saying the place closes at 11pm. It clearly closes at 12am. We weren’t gone for 30 mins. We were confused as of why it would’ve been a problem even if we were gone for 30 minutes. I saw no sign indicating that we can’t go outside and then comeback later. The bald, short, and old security guard was the one who fought us and didn’t want us back in. I hope Bowlero does something about the security issue.My friends and I were there the night of July 7th, 2023. Please check the security cameras to confirm we weren’t gone for 30mins.This experience was so disappointing because my friends and I love going to Bowlero in Milpitas. We never had any problem there and was excited to find out there’s a Bowlero in Alameda but I don’t think we are returning. We are scared to pay and then get denied service and be berated again.

Never come here for any reason. Not even to ask for directions. Arcade games require you to pay for a $3 card that you can then add money to in order to play. $10 got me 20 credits and air hockey cost 7 for one freaking game! Best part was the machine broke when it was my turn so I basically tossed $10 to the toilet. Tried to play pool while waiting for our lanes to open up and was told there were two people ahead of us. As I stare at empty pool tables for an hour I finally get frustrated and go see whats going on and wouldnt you know it? It was my turn... I believe this location to be infested with mites. I got infested by mites ten years back when I attempted to thrift shore shop after fist moving to the Bay Area, learning the very hard way that you can’t thrift here. This was what allowed me to realize what was happening in the moment. We had my daughter’s birthday celebration here 10 days ago, rented shoes, bowled for a few hours, enjoyed ourselves, but then started to feel VERY ITCHY towards the end. In my mind I thought “ I really hope these aren’t mites.” Ten days later I can confirm that we do indeed have an infestation. I would seriously warn anyone thinking of stepping foot in this building against it if you value your health, peace of mind and cleanliness of your home. Visited when it was Alameda Bowl...that was nasty and chaotic...came today 12/13 for office party and it was REALLY NICE! Staff was friendly, chicken tenders...crunchy AND juicy thank you chef!I live and work here on the Island and we were going to Albany or Manor bowls.Nice to know I can bring my Grands back home to have fun.Thank you Bowlero....I and my co-workers had a blast! It was my first time here. I was going with some friends. From the website, this place looked like it had it together. My first impression was that it wasnt the best, but wasnt the worst. They got us set up on our lanes, and we started bowling. Mostly everything was fine up until we were ordering food. We made a couple of orders. More of our party started to arrive slowly. Before our party had completely arrived, we asked them to put up bumpers in one of the lanes. It wasnt until we had been bowling for over an hour that we had to track down our server several times (because she was nowhere to be found) before we could get any of our food. Only a couple of the food dishes arrived with the receipt. We had to go back to the server to get the other items. This took another 10 to 15 minutes. Around this time they finally got the bumpers up in the lane. Most of the food wasnt great. We werent even sure if one of the burgers were done. The burgers were not that big and still costed $10 each. They werent tasty either. The wings we ordered had little flavor. Eventually we got the rest of the fries we ordered.We were really looking forward to having a good time. The staff was mostly friendly. But the service ended up taking a lot of time. The food wasnt good. Eventually, we couldnt find our server. I wouldnt have gone as a party if I would have known it would be that much of a hassle.

If you’re a bowler, this isn’t the place you want to go. The only light is where the pins are and everything else is very dim. Markings on the lanes are almost impossible to see. The people who work there don’t seem to be very knowledgeable about bowling alleys or very interested in it’s patrons. Balls kept getting stuck and one poor guy had to wait almost 30 minutes to get his ball back. It was so long that they gave him a free meal while he had to wait. Beware of them changing the prices on you from when you come in to when you’re done and leaving. We were told 6.99 per game when we started but ended up paying 8.99. They said it was because the time changed after we got there. Bottom line: find another place to go if at all possible.

Wish the music had a broader variety. Throw in some hip hop or r&b. It was a little pricey considering it was close to closing and unlimited bowl was recommended but we only got in 2 games due to time and that was over 60 dollars. upon leaving 2 of us needed to use the restroom and we politely asked were we able since a male employee was mopping. He gave us a dirty look my friend said we would go to the first stall so we werent tracking the floor he still says we close at 1 like we should have been gone. Are game Did go over the closing time but it was paid for and started before closing. We all had a good time overall due to friendly people next to us and 2 courteous female staff.

Got great specials. Lanes arent bad, but the auto racking has issues and the scoring board gets the pins wrong sometimes.Staff is great, its close to my pad. Lately theres been a some questionable young characters there tho...Good place to bowl overall.

Went on a Saturday evening. Construction really impacted the experience in a negative way. AC was not functional, the entire bowling alley was hot and humid. Food service was mediocre. The tables at the alley we were at were not cleaned prior to our use. The kitchen was out of pepperoni for the pizzas (they subbed bacon). The balls themselves were old and gouged.For 8 bowlers all this for $114. Plus food and drink charges.

Seen this place around so thought Id try just for date night. 1st time at this place and I ask the cashier in front, African American lady w glasses and short hair if we pay for a lane can we go play arcade 1st not knowing if we would have to start playing immediately because the lane was now on. Responds with I dont care what you do did I f÷#kn ask if you care? Simply yes or no would of sufficed. The Asian guy next to her was pleasant (I skipped on names) except Hector who was cool. Than the old bartender, the bald one, the one mentioned in other reviews i assume. We wanted another round of watered down drinks and couldnt find sever so went to the bar. Ask to add drinks to the tab and he says we dont do that, idk what your talking about, go ask the front sir how the hell have you been keeping tab of our 1st drinks and food?? Idk how it work but work on your dam tone..your in customer service sir..but ok Fine. Ask another worker she says yes there is a tab. Well great close that sh!t...if you dont want new customers just say so..2 star cuz the good was tasty and lane was nice

Updated review, the bartender was so nice and super helpful while i ordered food and a couple of pitchers of soda for us. The woman working at the front desk was all over my case insisted it was restored show her my bowling shoes and yet 2 lanes over 2 lanes of people bowling in dunks, js and other regular Nikes. Under construction, so it was dusty and gross. The ladies room was filthy and no paper towels. The lane conditions were also not good and last but least the staff (aside from the bartender, he was great) was unfriendly and didnt respond to any requests at the lanes. Skip this place and go to Manor bowl instead

To order a beer took 55 minutes because the manager was conducting interviews. The food cashier was probably high, or practicing the best way to drool. The food was bad, and I only ordered hot dogs, they were from Nathans. Bruh, Ive been here before but dag, probably wont be back.

It was absolutely terrible. 35 min wait for food and 45-1hr wait to bowl. $45 for some chicken nuggets and a quesadilla. Nasty bathrooms and after 45 minutes later didnt have neither food nor a lane so requested a refund. Thankfully they knew their service sucked and promptly issued a refund with our question.

I hate to give such a low rating or review but the customer service was just terrible. We had to pay AND tip before we received our drinks and food. The server insisted and it was awkward af and then after leaving a 18% tip we didnt get our drinks for another 1/2 hour! And it wasnt even busy 🤦🏻‍♀️ The lanes are nice and my kids had fun though.

We went for a look at the place to see if we could play a little pool, when we arrived, Two of the three tables were booked, we were lucky to get the last table. Because the bowling area was packed full of people. I can attest that this place is a nice little place to hang out with your favorite girl or friends. Hope to see you there 👍🏿

Nice bowling alley, but unfortunately they have safety issues. Someone was literally stabbed there and their blood was literally still on the doors a week later. Someone else was waving a gun in the parking lot and the police were on scene for a while. We prolly wont go back because of this. Its a shame because other than that, its a pretty good bowling alley. They have a bar, a lot of light balls, shoes are pretty good and the bowling area with seats are super comfy. You just might get shanked in the parking lot.

Regular goers, me and my folks always had a good experience. This time around 11/11/21 we ran into a problem, our bowling alley wasn’t working. We brought it up to Cesar the manager at Bowlero. He did what he could to get it to work but no luck, after 15 minutes he moves us over to a reserved alley. Immediately afterwards, he asked me for my receipt and apologize for the inconvenience. Few moments later, he comes back with a partial refund of food and beer bought. Not only that, for my next visit, I with same or different party have 2 hours of free bowling. We really appreciate manager Cesar on how profesional he confronted an ungrateful situation. Definitely recommend & will continue to go.

Went on a Sunday afternoon with my wife and two small kids. Got a lane right away but it was broken so we had to move. Had to guess how many games we were going to play and pay in advance, I didnt like that but it makes leaving faster. We needed the ball ramp for our 2 year old, the first two ramps I found were broken. All of the balls are chipped up. The hand dryer fan on our lane blows the smell of cigarettes. There was a football game on but there was no one working the bar. There was no one working the concession stand and I checked three times. I saw six different employees, all were dreary and miserable with no desire to provide customer service. I paid $80 for 4 people to play 2 games, couldnt get a water, no soap in the bathroom but we had a good time.

The hours are 2 pm until late night possibly 10 pm unless you want a party. If you do they may open for you as i saw a party there on Friday and it was opened for a field trip of students. Nice and friendly with special nights like college night where beer, games and pizza are at a discount.

Good bowling facility in Alameda. Ive never had to wait very long. Great for large group as there is many open lanes most of the time. Decent amount of food options, typical fast food, pizza, burger, fries, nacho etc. They do reservation s for special events and even had catering service. Lanes are maintained, good selection of balls. Service is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking near by.

We waited for ~2 hours and didnt get a lane, which is understandable because it was very busy and covid restrictions meant only every other lane could be used. We waited 1 hour 45 min for our food order that never came and when we asked the bartender about it she tried to charge us again for the food. We left hungry. And did not bowl.

My family had a blast. From walking in, getting food and drinks, the staff there is AMAZING! FRIENDLY and for the most part happy and ready to help. We had no problems, and when something didnt work they got right on it and fixed it. I wish I could remember all the names of staff members who helped make my nephews 4th bday so nice. This is by far the coolest bowling alley I have ever been to. They have swanky new seats and tables for eating right next to the lanes. The lanes are some of the best around. And they have huge screens all along the front wall so you can keep up with the sports games, kids can watch cartoons, and nobody is bored. It makes it fun for people to come hang out even if they do not like to bowl. This is pretty much the only place I will bowl for now on.

Sports bar didnt have the football game on. Asked bartender multiple times, said the person who does that was too busy to put on the only football game of the evening on a Sunday night. Sat at the bar ordered a mug of beer, and when is was enjoying, Sat there for over twenty minutes, waiting for the bartender to turn her attention to me so I could order another. She was too busy flirting with a couple of other patrons to even be bothered by me. I say in front of the dish washing station, so it would be hard for her not to notice that I was ready for another beer. She eventually too my mug and washed, never asking me if I wanted another. Still never got the game turned on. I left, and will never return. Absolutely horrible service.
