2024-06-18 16:38:59Great space. Its not aesthetic but has the right elements. Games, an outdoor patio, parking if you can grab it and good selection of teas. Also, offer to warm up the croissant, pitchers if coffee for refills for $1 off to the side and doggy water bowls. Also, blankets.Clearly a high trust community.

2023-12-31 04:42:34Great coffee shop, cozy atmosphere, good for studying or doing work in your laptop or for meeting with friends. They have great selection for teas and coffee. Pastries are fresh and good varieties. The only gluten free option was a packaged brownie cookie. I ended up getting white chocolate mocha, hazelnut mocha, vanilla latte and chai latte for myself and friends. Highly recommend to stop by if you happen to be in Walnut Creek.

2024-02-04 19:23:03Could be so much more if coffee and service matched the ambience. I visited twice just to make sure. The service is average bordering on unfriendly. The caffe lattes were also average - almost bland - without coffee notes and crema I’ve come to expect in establishments with good ratings. The ham & cheese and chocolate croissants were doughy and not flaky - also not as expected. But at least reasonably priced. The premises are exceptionally well decorated with a broad selection of board games and a warm feeling for relaxing. There is a delightful small patio deck that I enjoyed on my last visit when sunny. There is parking in the back which is appreciated as street can be full of cars. The overall experience left me unsatisfied and therefore I’m unable to recommend this establishment at this time.

2024-04-21 01:17:21I ordered a cappuccino with whole milk and a feta brioche. The coffee is a solid three stars. The beans they used were way too fruity for espresso. The feta brioche on the other hand was hella good. If this place was a pastry only bakery, it would be a solid five stars.I’m giving it 4 stars. Great pastries, mediocre coffee.

2024-04-02 17:17:24Cashier customer service definitely needs some work. Coffee and tea is fantastic. Ambiance is great, pretty chill. Definitely recommend if you are looking for good coffee nearby and don’t mind the lack of good customer service.

2023-07-21 05:26:13Good stuff and very pleasant service when knowledgeable owner is around. Service overall was lacking a bit of professionalism.Roast we didn’t know, brewed coffee at the bar was cold, and the restroom was missing papers. When Ron stepped in, things went much smoother, however the tension was there from the beginning. The wall game of “write the song you want to hear at your funeral” was kind of odd for the vibe. Please add a little bit of spirit to return the joy to this place. One thing I enjoyed for sure, was freshly brewed, dark roast, and not bitter chocolate coffee. Will gladly be back to increase the rating.

2024-06-16 15:52:59I thought this would be my new go-to coffee shop with its cute business initiative, but unfortunately, its a no from me.The server that day was rude, seemed bothered by the customers, and appeared uninterested in the job and providing good service. Big minus. Either they have poor management or the server was having a bad day. While the latte art was great, the coffee itself was unimpressive and rough. I prefer a more delicately balanced bean and flavor. Additionally, the milk temperature was too high, which can alter the espresso taste. We couldnt stay long because the air felt unhealthy. Its a small cottage with a seating area on one side of the room and no ventilation, allowing cooking vapors to accumulate. As someone who works in public safety, I tend to notice these things. The parking was very limited.

2023-07-10 15:18:47First time here, we decided how friendly it is and how the environment, and coffee is compared to other locations.Pros:-has free wi-fi,-Lots of seating,-The environment is nice,-A small place for conversation with friends or loved ones,-Outdoor sitting as well.Cons:-I did find the mocha latte extremely sweet and I do have a sweet tooth.-The chai latte tasted better.-I didnt try any of their pastries as a customer on the way out warned us.-parking is limited, first come.

2024-06-06 21:39:51THE OWNER IS THE ONLY PROBLEM!! KINDNESS IS HIS MARKETING TOOL, BUT NOT HIS PRACTICE!This place was great. Although the coffee and pastries are VERY mediocre, the staff was always kind and the ambiance pleasant.I was a regular that came alone once a week with a laptop for about an hour and a half. I was without exception kind to staff (but otherwise kept to myself), always retuned my dishes and thanked them. I was always mindful of others by either opening the door to the back patio when their hands were full or offered to share seating if I had extra and noticed a need.Today, the owner reminded me for the second time that I was sitting in a table available for groups although all tables have at least two seats or more. At that moment, there were easily three or four tables open. I acknowledged him and expressed a disposition to move or share were it to become necessary. On my way out, this man called me aside, displeased with me being on my laptop (I was one of a plurality doing the same and use my own hotspot. He is considering banning laptops as a business owner to move people along.) and not moving immediately (although he never expressed a policy or actually asked me to move) and thought it wasn’t kind that I didn’t obey (my word) him. He even threatened to ask me not to come back!!!?!I volunteered to never come back and asked him to consult with his employees about my history of ‘kindness’ there. I told him also the reason I sit at the larger, benched seating tables is because the others offer inadequate legroom and the seats are too low.The employees here are great. Everything else is mediocre. This experience tells me that the owner does NOT always practice kindness. What I sensed was a petty, micromanaging authoritarian. This is backed by anecdotal evidence emerging from previous employees. Too bad to lose an otherwise pleasant local coffee shop over this.
