The room was nice. Could have been cleaned better. TV was outdated. Fridge and microwave were great. Definitely meant for a long stay. The breakfast was good. Make your own waffles, cereal, pastries, and muffins. Pool was closed and it was hot enough for it. Over all, it was a great stay. The service was great. Location close to food, and shopping. Would still recommend the stay.

Good location near the mall and stores. We stayed here a couple times a few years ago. The deposit wasn’t too bad, our room had a hot tub in the center. Great experience and once again, there are rooms with hot tubs!! Only down side is the tv’s and staircases were a bit old. Front desk was very courteous and accommodating.

My review was taken down. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD!! They will take a couple hundred dollars from you. I will make this quicker than the last post. It’s old, outdated, and has health violations. There are rats, roaches, and bed bugs here, ants in the breakfast food. EVERYTHING is old. Wi-Fi is super slow. Maybe that is why they charge guests extra for minor things, to help with renovations. I was charged for a tiny black stain on the sheet for $190 . Manager refuses to call me. Just read the other reviews. Also see how the manager responds to complaints, no sympathy, no customer service. He pretty much blames the guest in a nice way. They will eventually be shut down or be under new management. Simply read other posts. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, you won’t regret it.

There was no availability until a certain time. The deposit for rooms were too high. Most places are $100.00 max. This location wanted $200 for deposits. Plus your normal room fees. It adds up quickly. There was quick questions for service and fee amounts only. Couldnt judge the room. It was to expensive.

A nice hotel, my room was clean and organized. The AC was on, and my room was nice and cool. The location was easy to find and was near plenty of shopping, restaurants, and the highway. The gentleman who checked me in was pleasant and nice. He accommodated my request for a 1st floor room.The continental breakfast was nice; they had plenty of hot/cold options, coffee, milk, orange juice, and apple juice. I helped myself to a muffin and some juice. The seating area for that was roomy, and the attendant was very nice and helpful.The parking lot could use some TLC, and some overnight security would add some peace of mind peace to travelers.Overall, 7.5/10. I would stay here again.

On check in, I had to pay a $100 deposit. The TV didnt work, had to unplug it and have it reprogram to get any channels. The pool and hot tub were both covered and out of order and the ice machine didnt work at all.The whole complex seems like renovated apartment buildings. The bathroom smelt like mildew. The housekeeping is scheduled every other day and if they miss your room they act like its a huge inconvenience to come and do it another day.One of the people at the front desk doesnt know how to be courteous on the phone, they just hang up without saying goodbye. The breakfast is nothing but bread products. Oatmeal bagel, cereal, waffle. No protein at all. What a joke.This is the least satisfied with a hotel I have been in awhile. Stay somewhere else if you want something nice.

For someone who comes from LA to yuba City for a family retreat, this place did a better job than most places Ive been to. Honestly, they had everything set up just right from what they offer. I honestly had my hopes down because of the reviews, but i decided to give them a try, and man, did they just hit that pleasant feeling that i like about renting out a room. If anybody is reading this, please give them a try. My wife and 2 kids enjoyed the stay, and Ill be sure to come back soon for more family reunions and definitely with be staying at the bonanza Inn again!!

I found the management to be unethical and difficult to work with. They refused to refund a canceled reservation and pretended they didnt receive the call that we have proof was made. We booked a room with two queen beds but they gave a room with one king bed which was a problem for us.

Awful. Arrived after 10pm and was met with a computer screen with Carl who was in New York. Their machine wasn’t working and me and another guest were asked to input all of our information into this “secure” computer even though we had both pre-paid. When I asked to talk to a person on the property I was told that wasn’t an option and no one was here. I asked for a refund and said I would go to a hotel that had someone on site. I was denied a refund. Carl then called Raj and said he would be here soon. Raj arrived in less than 5 minutes and told me this was “the future of hotel stays” and all hotels would be this way in 5 years. I will never stay at a hotel that has no staff in my lifetime. If this hotel thinks this is a good way to run a business they are mistaken.Lock on door was ripped out and missing.

We drove a very long way and decided to stay here..checked into room turn the lights on between beds and went to our car to get out luggage. At that moment the fire alarm in our room went off ran back to see our room smoking from faulty electrical in the lamps between the beds. They appogized and switch our room to what they call a Luxury suite. And it was borderline worse plugged my phone into one of the outlets in that room and it sparked and noticed the outlet was little black. Hole above the toilet on the ceiling wall paper peeling off walls. We were too tired to move rooms again. Prob not a super safe place to stay to say the least. Its not maintained very well. Then on top of all that charged us $100 extra when the room was already in very rough shape. Dirty unsafe and charging funds for a room thay was already in horrible shape. Shocked this place hasnt been shut down or sued.

We paid more for the the deluxe room and to stay here because it had a pool.The employee checking us in was very not pleasant. He charged us an extra $100 deposit. Ive never had that happen before. They usually just keep the card on file in-case something is messed up.We were given one of the very old rooms that is not even in the main section. We had to drive out of the hotel area and around back. Upon getting there we discovered the hotel has not been taken care of. It is very old and dirty. Once we got into the room and looked out the back the pool is not usable. The hot tub was green and half full. The room is fair. It is what I would expect for $75 not $150. The carpet is stained and in poor condition. The room was over 85 degrees when we entered. As we left for the evening we discovered the lock on the door was broken.If you expect one step up from tent camping you will be very happy just make sure your expectations are not very high. I would ask for a refund and move to another hotel but its only one night and we dont have enough time tonight because of other obligations.Overall, you can do better elsewhere.

The employees were very nice and helpful. The room was spacious and even had 2 sinks as well as a front and back door. Wi-Fi was a bit slower than most other places. They do have a weight room and pool. Im not sure if pool is operational due to it being covered and weather conditions were a bit winterish. Heater unit was quite noisy but comfortable. Not bad.

This place was rough to say the least, overall outdated and not very well maintained. Front desk service was “okay” and that’s being generous. The rooms are in very very poor condition, shower curtain barely hanging on, door nobs broken, sinks cracked, sunk in mattress, and sheets are paper thin and barely fit over the mattress. If you’re in the area for business and are looking for a place that is cheap then sure, but for a couple or even a family spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

The exterior was kinda dirty, a lot of bird poop on the stairs right outside our door. Cables in the office just tapped to the wall. Window view of the apartment complex that was about 10 feet away. No breakfast in the morning. The entire place is is need of a remodeling. You get what you pay for I suppose. Gabby at the front desk was friendly and helpful though.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here though i know there aren’t many other options, i would consider finding another place. Paid double for what the experience was worth. The first room was terrible so we were kindly placed in a newer room which is why there are two stars but I still can’t believe what we paid for it. Not to mention the startling fact that the reception was a computer- Zoom-style check-in, check-out process. I do understand they are undergoing renovations so maybe it will improve.

ADDENDUM:DONT DO IT. THEY HAD BAD BED BUGS. Then fumigated my room, and sent me back into it. I was overcome by fumes.They office guy thought it was fine. Google it. NOTHING was fine.Ok. So where shall I start? Im told that this used to be a top notch place and not that long ago. Before I begin, heres a foundation for this review, and this situation.So, you have to understand that Marysville is what they call a dump city. This means, in local cities, theres a system in place for removal of violent, problematic, raging homeless, especially the raging ones. A van is sent to their location. The person is forced to go into the van, then driven to Marysville. At this point, they are given a 3 days stay at the hotel.And THATS itNOW, theres a really angry, problematic homeless person, most likely methd up, and has nowhere to go. This town is full of them.This place is run down, and rebuilt, almost everywhere. I will take photos tomorrow and add them. Its obvious that they are making a huge effort to improve the place.My room, overall was pretty clean. The curtain has a big cum stain on it. The room itself didnt smell so great, kinda musty when I arrived. The lighting would be perfect for living in a cave. Im constantly TRYING to turn off the lights on more! I havent had to shower there yet, but I will tonight. The window opens so thats nice. TV is older, but good enough. The cable is stupid and I feel like its comparable to hospital cable. Internet is not great either. The AC is ridiculous. It only runs so long, then it shuts off. Horribly annoying. Theres no staff at the office for check in or anything. Just a kiosk. You get everything at the kiosk. I am Autistic and get easily overwhelmed at the thought of using a kiosk to get signed in. But it is easy. If I can do it, anyone can do it.The breakfast has cereal, toast, bagels, waffle maker and condiments.Low fat cream cheese, peanut butter and jelly, coffee and juices.The soda machine is just outside the door and is $2.50.

Rooms were clean and staff friendly. WiFi was serviceable and free. Only a single light in our entire room worked. (Of 5). The bed was hard and only had a thin sheet. No blankets or comforter in room during winter. Room was not quiet, both from the noisy machinery room next to ours and people arguing and shouting in the apartments not 5 feet away. The only redemption was the price.

I stayed here mid-week and was very pleasantly surprised by the value. The lobby is well appointed and the staff are genuinely friendly. The rooms are incredible for the price ($50-$60). They were very clean and well appointed. The furniture looked new. The hot breakfast was solidly good but not overly fancy. I also appreciated that they sold snacks behind the front desk. The pool was reasonably chlorinated without being over the top. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

The room was clean and spacious. The other guests were super loud, and with our room facing the pool it was a bit much. The bed was a bit more on the firm side for me but the breakfast was good. Complementary Waters in the room was nice and had a fridge and microwave. If you get if for cheap its worth it but not if you pay full price.

This hotel is close to restaurants/shops & the staff was friendly. The area was quiet with plenty of parking. The room was nice & clean. It was newly updated with nice modern furniture. The room also had a coffee maker, fridge & microwave, so that was a plus! The only problem I had with the room was the toilet getting stuck after you flush & the shower water kept adjusting hot & cold, but not too bad.

A bit pricey for the place, but a good choice overall! Near a neighborhood and small park, which was nice for walking the dogs. Clean, very large rooms with a comfy bed and strong AC. A touch noisy, but nothing terrible. The dog friendly rooms have vinyl flooring, which we really liked. Two sinks and large shower with organic complementary toiletries. Best part was the cookies in the lobby and full breakfast (waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, hash, oatmeal with or without dried fruit, cereal, fresh fruit, toast, etc.). Very friendly staff, smallish town.

We quite enjoyed our stay here. Price was reasonable . Hotel staff were pretty friendly, rooms were very nice with great furnishings. Only 2 complaints really, housekeeping prior to our stay was not exactly top notch. Due to this we didnt use housekeeping our entire stay. Also the pool and hot tub closed by 10 pm, during summer it would be nice to have these open a bit later. All in all worth every penny we paid :)

I just had to write a review, normally I don’t but it was really that disappointing. The pictures are deceiving. In no way does the hotel look the way it does . The exterior is scary, especially when they put you way in the back, it’s needs a new facelift, fencing was like if you lived in the poorest part of town . The area where we had to park was sketchy. The elevator is old out of a horror movie . The room itselfFelt like something out of bates motel. The room was dirty, old and we found clothes in a drawer that seems like someone lives in there when it’s not reserved . The beds are extremely hard we actually slept in our clothes for fear of the linen being dirty . The only pleasant thing about this hotel was the front desk they were really nice . Other then that if you need to stay in town you’re better off sleeping in your car .

Last year when I stayed I was really impressed with the updated suites and the easy access USB chargers. I also appreciated the Happy Hour and the delicious breakfast. This year we were put in rooms that seemed to have been awaiting updating and I liked them less. It was still very clean and the breakfast remained delicious. Stayed here for 2 nights. Pros: inexpensive, unit was overall clean, housekeeping staff was polite, plenty of parking. Cons: not enough staff at check-in, property claims 24hr surveillance but cameras only in lobby (but there are signs all over property), pool unclean and unsafe to swim in, hot tub had lots of foam and debris, pool chairs and tables were dirty.Our room was clean but had very dirty floors and probably needs shampooing. After taking a shower we made the mistake if walking on the floor and the bottom of our feet turned black. Our toilet didnt flush correctly due to improper water flow in the tank. Contacted front desk for plunger and had to wait in line 20 minutes because of the earlier mentioned staffing issue. Lastly, there were no garbage bags on the trash cans in our rooms. When we asked for some we were given 50 gallon bags lol.

The rooms are spacious and I appreciate the amount of effort that was put into making my stay enjoyable. I rarely feel I get my moneys worth when I rent a room but I feel like I did this time. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEBY MANGER/OWNER!!!Well here I go again. OMG! My family recently moved to Yuba City, Ca. I must admit what a s**t show this town has been. I’ve been very ill and just now becoming myself. My husband and I thought we could get a room near the house. We so desperately needed their hot tub and pool. We both had been pushing our bodies. We get there and pool/spa area closed for renovations. Their website did not inform us it was closed. We would have gone elsewhere.I explained to the front desk gentleman that we came for the pool/spa. That because they did not provide that information I would like a refund. He said, no refund. He would check with his manager and she would get a hold of me in the morning. I have emailed this individual on two separate occasions she has failed to respond to my emails or my request for a refund. Possibly even a gift card for a later time when their facilities are running properly. Shame on you for taking our 300 for nothing, instead of honoring what we payed for. P.s. we went home to our kids we did not stay on the property. Your response of talking to your team DOES NOT fix losing our hard earned money!! The day staff was great, but from there its all bad news. Things like tile floor made the room echo horribly, the hallway lights never dimmed and with short curtains the light fell right across our faces all night, had torn up the parking lot making the excerise room unnecessary on my way to breakfast, only about a block walk. The breakfast staff was second to none, fast, clean, great can do attitude! Food was very good as well, but the two guys doing knew how and did it right. The afternoon/evening check in lady, had an argument about undisclosed deposits and first recommended we stay somewhere else, then tried shouting over my wife to me when she called me on the phone. As good as the morning staff is, I cannot recommend this as a good place, its better than sleeping in your car but only just.

This is the best kept secret in Yuba City. At first I was hesitant, as I had never hear of the Bonanza Inn, however I booked it as it was suggested as part of a wedding weekend and I was greatly surprised!!First of all, because we were traveling from out of town I called the Hotel to see if I could get in early...Jeanette, (if I remember correctly,) was wonderful...she was very accommodating and let us into our room well before check in time.Next, the room, although a little dated was huge, clean and there was bottled water waiting for us. That was a nice surprise!! We also had double doors. One lead to our parked car and one lead out to a courtyard type area where the pool and Jacuzzi were. It was also easier to access other family member rooms as we would not have to walk completely around the outside of the hotel. It was great and well utilized!!Now, our bathroom must have been updated as it looked great and there were two vanities...was convenient when getting ready so we did not have to squeeze in...and the toiletries this hotel uses reminded me of the San Francisco Soap Company, just in different, colorful packaging...loved them...forgot to ask about them at the front desk when I checked out as the lotion was great and I wanted to purchase some!!!Lastly was the breakfast...freshly cooked bacon, eggs, sausage, and oatmeal, a waffle bar and several different juices and of course..coffee.All in all, I would highly recommend this Hotel you will not be disappointed!!!

I would rate this hotel at a zero if I could. After looking at there website along with bookings website I was pleased and decided to book. What the forget to advertise is their pool is out of service. They don’t happen to mention that on any website they advertise through. When I go to check in still unaware that the pool is closed. When inquire about the pool during check in the front desk informs me it is closed. This will not work I have a child who is looking forward to swimming.He says I will not charge your card. Making me believe that my card will not be charged. But don’t worry the manager charged my card. When I call to speak to the manager the never get back to me EVER! Very poor customer service with false representation.

Ive stayed at Bonaza Inn twice, a couple years apart. The more recent stay was in an renovated room with new furnishings. The mattress was extremely comfortable, a bit on the hard side which is perfect for me. Parking is somewhat limited, although there is street parking available and an overflow lot across the street. My room was next to the staff break room, and the staff were vocally very loud every morning and afternoon and slammed the lid on a dumpster or trashcan outside of our window. Other than that, no complaints about the price or the room, and Ive already booked my next stay.

I am not really one to complain alot, but i paid nearly $150 plus a $100 deposit and my room was about 85 degrees in there. The AC said 62 degrees. I could barely hear it and it definate;y was not putting out any cool air. Also right out side the window where i was sleeping was the front door to a man and woman who kept arguing and bangingnoon the door throughout the night. The cletk at tje front desk didnt care that i had a bad experience when i checked out in the morning. She needs to learn how to atleast be sympathetic or atleast listen to my complaint

Rooms are clean and pretty well kept, and very spacious. Its a good value for the price. Water temp in the shower is inconsistent and walls are thin, so you hear a lot of noise from the neighbors and the pool area. Breakfast is ok. A little overcooked. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Location offers truck parking! Check in staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are spacious and the bed is large and quite comfortable. Check out was easy as well and I was given a grab and go bag for breakfast. Due to covid restrictions some amenities were not available but this is a great place to stay at.

Well it was dirty. The showers i know were not cleaned cause there were long black hairs all over the shower walls. I also killed as couple spiders in that bathroom. But you get what you pay for. The ladies at the front desk were great but I was disturbed when i saw the room wasnt more exquisite after a $200 deposit. The tub has paint coming off, the toilet seat was loose, and the plug in the bath didnt work. Their prices dont match the room! The tv doesnt even have an HDMI port, one of the lamps didnt work Ive been here before but not on this side the older side and its terrible.

Everything was great. The room was spacious, A/C was new, felt safe on the property. Breakfast was fresh and always stocked by the staff, plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Yes its a little older, but the room was clean and comfortable. We stayed thursday-monday and had no issues. The pool was nice and empty for the most part. We stayed here in the suite with the jet tub and fireplace for my husbands birthday. The room was large and very clean and comfortable. It felt more like a house than a hotel. We had a private patio facing the pool which was nice. The room was more than great for the price and I only had a few complaints. One being that toilet didnt flush properly. The handle was very hard to push down and we had to hold it down for an inconveniently long time. The light over the jet tub only worked at the highest setting and just kind of flickered off if we tried to lower. Breakfast only went until 9 am and there was no ketchup. The breakfast itself was just average hotel quality food, nothing special but not bad either. The cups that come with the coffee maker arent large enough to hold as much coffee as the kuerig makes and we had coffee overflow everywhere. The front desk staff was very friendly, especially Benjamin, who checked us in. All in all, it was a very nice stay and I will definitely come back.

I picked this location because it has good reviews online. When we arrived to the motel it didnt look like much from the outside, but once inside the lobby I was impressed with how clean and nice and new everything looked. The staff would say hello as they passed by; the front desk was very professional. Once inside the room it looked just like the pictures. A homeless person also attempted to get the complimentary breakfast (and said the other homeless people told her the bonanza inn is the place to get a meal), but was politely asked to leave.2) The room is clean, but not to the standard that places like Motel 6 maintain. See photos.3) The location is next to a liquor store, bail bonds business, harbor freight, discount grocery store, apartment complex (see photos, its the window view), and abandoned gas station. I was reviewing my credit card in preparation for my taxes. I found an odd charge for 500 dollars to my credit card last April. I called and asked what this was about and was told there was a room cleaning fee. No one ever called me or notified me of a 500 dollar charge. Apparently It was due to smoking and linen image. I don’t smoke. Merchants are required by law to notify a customer for any charges to a credit or debit card and supply evidence of damages. I would be wary of this hotel and unexpected charges. Bonanza delivered that and then some with fresh water bottles, fridge and ironing board, more outlet than any other place Ive been. I have always stayed here when Im in town. The neighborhood is not the best but lets face it YC is not as safe as it once was. A lot of crime now.The rooms are clean, it is pet friendly and I feel relatively safe, specifically in the rooms at the front near the office. There is also a security guard and cameras in all corridors and parking lots.Its breakfast beats the typical Continental breakfast that other places have. Eggs, meat, potatoes, hot cereal, fresh fruit, pancakes or waffles that you can make by yourself. Cold cereal, Coffee, juices, teas. But you may not take their plates to the rooms. Staff are pleasant, polite and professional. The reason I gave only 3 stars is that just a couple years ago the Bonanza switched management/ownership. They remodeled a bit...nothing huge..then just about doubled the price!! Not too long ago I booked a room for $74. I can understand increasing the price a bit, but double? If I am going to pay that for a 2 star place I might as well go to one of the 4-stars for $40 or $50 more.Overall, if youre passing through town I would definitely recommend staying there for all the above reasons. The other 2 star lodging in town is not desirable.

This would have rated 4 stars with me but when I checked out and after I drove 2 and a half hours home. I look and my bank account and they charged a 300 dollars to my account. And then when I called they said it was my bank that charged me. I called my bank and nope bonanza authorized a 300 dollar charge to my 112 dollar for 1 night hotel room. Then when I called back they said that they charged me an extra 75 for a top sheet that had been stayed and could not be used. I asked them to send me pictures and they did. But there were maybe one or two what looked like dirt smudges on the sheet. My fist thought is if your charging me 75 dollars for two dirt smudges that must mean you dont wash the comforters at all and just buy and charge customers when other customers will notice that the sheets havent been washed. I had no problem with the 100 dollar deposit they asked for but if you ever check I would refuse to give them a debit or credit card. It will just get charged double. If and thats a big if I ever stay at another hotel that asks for a deposit they will be getting cash that I will demand back at the time of my check out. This is ridiculous Im a single mother of two children that brought my kids up to spend time with my younger sisters for a day and Im already on a budget. Now Im overdrafted in my account because of this. THIS IS NOT OKAY!!!! I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and motels and have never had a problem or ever heard of a hotel charging some one 75 dollars for a comforter. My dad travelled so much we basically stayed in hotels when I got to visit him. He works basically construction.
