Really great winery. Went to Boeger after a hike with family right before Thanksgiving . The setting is gorgeous. We really enjoyed the wine. Our recommendation is that you pair a bottle or a few glasses with a charcuterie tray and make a picnic of it.

I recently visited Boeger Winery as part of my holiday to Northern California, and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. I was feeling quite stressed out from my travels, but the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings at the winery really helped to calm my nerves.Even though I didnt sample any of the wines, I did enjoy a delicious hot chocolate that I brought from home. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they gave us a fantastic tour of the winemaking facilities. The tasting room was cozy and inviting, and I appreciated the opportunity to relax and enjoy my hot chocolate in such a lovely setting.The winery also has a picturesque garden and patio area where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Ive been a member for over 20 years. I love the staff and I love this park like atmosphere. My children brought me here for Mothers Day recently and it was a beautiful picnic, family Day! My children are all grown up but still remember this place as a wonderful place!

Boeger is a lovely, romantic little winery. My family has been members of the wine club for several years and we always enjoy going to pick up wines and spend some time sitting in the lush, green garden. Boeger has a nice variety do with each and knowledgeable staff. You can bring your own snacks and enjoy your wine out by the pond at one of the clean, shaded picnic tables. Support this local small business and enjoy a nice day out!

Great for a Sunday fun day! The property is absolutely beautiful! They often I have live music and sometimes there is a blacksmith that you can watch does metalworking. The wine is sophisticated yet great for anyone who has never gone winetasting before. Lots of grass to walk around home and great for pictures. This is one of the oldest winery in El Dorado county

I LOVE Boeger Winery and visited over the weekend to celebrate my birthday picnic style with a few good friends and a few amazing bottles of wine. I love their affordable and great quality selection and relaxed, gorgeous environment. The property and views are unmatched for wineries in this area with a full vineyard, garden, pond, orchard and historic buildings. It’s awesome that they offer their picnic table area where you can purchase packaged snacks, and wine by the bottle or glass. They provide wine glasses and little plates and forks and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of shade for hot days and dog and kid friendly! It’s such a lovely experience every time I visit and highly recommend Boeger to everyone in the greater Sacramento area, or a nice enjoyable stop for anyone traveling up to South Lake Tahoe or Apple Hill from the Bay Area!

Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic people. I had the chance to visit Boeger on one of their concert nights and it was a great experience. Everyone was outside feeling the music, bringing their picnic food and enjoying the evening. Im not super knowledgeable on wine but the staff pointed me in a good direction on a few selections and it made me feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend checking them out if youre in the area.

This was a great place to wine taste during a pandemic! All the tables were well spaced. We enjoyed a flight of four wines for $10.00. We also enjoyed crackers, cheese, chocolate cookies and glazed pecans purchased from the store on site.

Enjoy their Friday music concerts. Nice grassy area to sit along with some picnic tables. Dogs and kids enjoy the open air. Most of the sitting areas are tree shaded. Most people bring food. Wine by bottle and glass available. Limited parking. Concert started at 5:30 - we found parking at 5. Different music groups have always been good - see there web for schedule.

Wow! This winery is sooooo beautiful! This is a must visit in Apple Hill! They have a beautiful drive into the winery and when you pull up and park, you are surrounded by beautiful vineyards, trees, a pond, market lights, it really is a dream venue! The wine is also very good. If you love white wine or moscato this is defiantly a winery that has mastered it. The reds are also very good, however, my fiancé only likes moscato and white wines so this made it very enjoyable that we each were able to drink wine we like. They do have food/snacks that you can purchase if you want to picnic by the pond under some shade. Bringing your own food is also welcomed as well. The tasting price is $10 per person but if you buy a bottle the tasting is waived. Cheer!

Very pretty winery with delicious wines. they have a good gift shop selection as well as snacks to purchase with your wine. I would consider going back and would have given this 5 stars if one of the employees was friendlier. We had a large group that hadScheduled ahead of time and yvonne I believe her name was, was not friendly to multiple of us on multiple different interactions. Julie was very warm and friendly as well as the others. We brought our own snacks and were told ahead of time we could eat them outside in the picnic area and then again confirmed it was okay to go outside in between tastings and one gal had said it was okay. Rather than communicating with her coworker to get on the same page she continued to make us feel uncomfortable and make snarky remarks. My recommendation would be for them to have a set paper you fill out with your 6 wines so that they are organized, they had no clue who had tried what or what glass anyone was on.

My experience with them was at the Barbara festival. Very decent wine. However, very poor customer service. Rude, demeaning, inconsiderate and very unprofessional. I dont offend easily, but they offended and embarrassed a very nice young woman without cause. Unfortunately I cannot give them a half star.

Came here with a small group for Enchanted Evenings. It really was enchanting, and super lovely. I loved sharing a few bottles of wine with my friends, grabbing some cheese, and hanging out while a love band played. There’s a $25 parking fee for non-club members, and the payment also prompted us to tip.The only thing I wish was different is the wine tasting. Being able to order a flight would be amazing, I had to buy a whole bottle based on a description and a prayer.

I love coming to this winery because it is SO beautiful! We came for a tasting on Saturday and the staff was wonderful. Until we came inside to close out our tasting bill. We assumed that if we bought some wine that the tasting fee would be credited, but the guy checking us out was super rude and condescending. Asked us why they would do that because that would mean they would basically be selling their wine for a few dollars. We would have been ok if someone would have just said nicely that they don’t do that, but this guy was really rude. So we went our our way paying for tasting and a bottle of wine feeling a little annoyed.Still giving Boeger 4 stars though. I won’t hold this guys bad day against them.

We showed up to do a wine tasting and stood at the sign Line starts here which was inside the tasting room. We were immediately told we could not come in and had to go outside. When someone came to see us outside they acted like it would be a great sacrifice to let us in for wine tasting since we didnt have a reservation. During this conversation, the tasting room only had two couples inside and seven empty tables. With all the choices of wineries in this area, I would highly recommend visiting any of the other ones over this location.

We went here with some local friends. They have music on some Friday evenings and the music was outstanding. The wine is absolutely wonderful, and the crowd is friendly and appreciative of both the music and those around them. The setting is so relaxing. We had traveled from NYC and to just have a pleasant place to enjoy some good wine, in a fantastic setting, with some old and new friends started our trip off on the right foot.

My wife and I visited the Boeger Winery today. I had read up on it a little and it seemed nice. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful our day would be. Great drive out from Nevada City, beautiful location, pleaseant employees, wine was excellent, and what a Beautiful outdoor patio/picnic area. I first visited here in 1999, before they had the new tasting room. I fell in love with it then, but no one back east knew who I was talking about. I recently got to visit again and was once again amazed, not just by their wonderful selection of wines, but with how beautiful their grounds are. This was once a regular stop for my wife and I. Our last visit we discovered they now charge a tasting fee per person, but were told it could be applied to a wine purchase if we chose to buy a bottle of wine. They made us pay upfront and immediately before anything was poured. We were strictly limited to only 6 tiny tastings and they were poured into tiny glasses. Seriously, not even enough to get a good taste of the wine. They counted the tastings as if they were gold. They never spent any time explaining or discussing the wines. We decided to cut some of our loses of our tasting fees by purchasing a bottle of wine. Upon payment we were credited for only ONE tasting, not the two we paid for in advance and were told only one credit per purchase. Sneaky! With so many better wineries in the Apple Hill area that offer free tasting, nicer people and better wines, there is no need to pay fees and be swindled. My wife and I, and our friends will never go back.

Boeger is a once great winery that has gone downhill. My first few tastings there years ago were very enjoyable, the wines delicious, and the staff friendly and informative about its wines. In recent years however, I have had bad experiences with its customer service and feel that its wines are average at best. The last three times I visited the winery I turned around and walked out because of the poor customer service. The winery that was a longstanding must stop winery for me has now been crossed off my winery list. What a shame.

First and last time at Boeger for my family and I. We decided to stop by on 10-22-17 for a wine tasting and to purchase a few bottles. We are very familier with the wine but have never had the chance to visit. We elected to purchase the upgraded reserve tastings and eagerly awaited our first pour. this is where the problems started... The tasting bottles all contained a 1oz pour “stopper”, having experience in the restaurant industry I am familiar with these devices and have no problem when they are utilized properly. The issue I had with this situation is the bartenders did not wait for the full pour, she would continually fill 2 glasses without resetting the “stopper”, resulting in a 1/2 oz pour per glass. We attempted to bring this up but were quickly assured, and very rudely I might add, that it was an accurate “1oz” pour and that other wineries are too liberal with their pours resulting in Boegers appearing smaller...Our experience further declined as we felt “black balled” by the staff who offered little to no explanations about the wine they were pouring after we raised our previous concerns. Due to this and the fact we could not accurately taste the wine we did not purchase any additional items as was our intention. Needless to say we are very dissappointed with the experience and will avoid this product in the future. With so much competition in the local area and Napa being a short trip away I will be bringing my business to wineries who value their product and its patrons.
