Great car buying experience from Chase and Jimmy. I was shopping nationwide for a particular vehicle and found the one at BMW of Monterey. Chase reached out to me and made the whole process of purchasing out of state quick and easy. Chase was very friendly, professional and also allowed me to check out another vehicle that interested me while I was there. I am a perfectionist about my 2011 BMW. I have many years experience with BMW Service Centers in Los Angeles and more recently, in Monterey. BMW of Monterey far surpasses any previous service center I have used. The primary reason is Alyssa Dalit, Service Representative. From my first visit two years ago, she has been professional, welcoming and very knowledgeable about all aspects of servicing. Once I drove in without an appointment because my key had dropped under my seat in a spot I couldnt retrieve it. Alyssa immediately had a service technician pull out my key, and I was back on the road in 15 minutes. For service appointments, she always arranges prompt lifts home and back, with no wait time. The Spa Day service for complete hand wash, wax, carpet cleaning and detailing is incomparable. It looked and felt like I was stepping into a new BMW!I do not often give reviews. When I do, they are sincere. I recommend BMW of Monterey for any service needs.

Erdal at BMW Monterey is highly knowledgeable about every car they have on the lot, the features, how many horsepower etc.. he won’t push you into something, it feels he is just there to help make the right decision. He is very pleasant to work with and would highly recommend coming to see himIf you are interested in a bmw. Most my reviews are negative but I give bmw Monterey A++, they also have no markups compared to other local dealerships. In fact I got a local discount off msrp knowing I would service my car there. Anyway I suggest coming to talk to Erdal at Monterey bmw if you are at all interested, he will get you pointed in the right direction.

Words cannot express how impressed I am! I have been looking for a very specific 2024 M4 Convertible Competition with Xdrive that is white with red interior as a surprise for my wife. I have been searching for almost 7 months all over the US to find the exact car. Just as I was about to give up hope, I found my wife’s dream car at BMW of Monterey. I immediately telephoned and spoke with Erdal. He was extremely professional, as I told him exactly what I was looking for from him. There were no sales pitches or gimmicks. We did everything electronically. My wife and I flew to Monterey to celebrate her birthday. Erdal and staff were all in on the surprise. I needed a part for my X5, I searched online and few results came it. There were couple independent parts stores with slightly better prices, but I decided to go with dealership counting on better and more prompt customer service. It was not the case, however.I ordered a part from BMW of Monterey and paid in full on 10/10. Next day I got a confirmation email saying order was received and paid for. Then total silence has followed. I called multiple times to check on my order and left a voicemail (call wasnt returned). Finally, on 10/20 I reached parts department and the parts specialist told me one of their colleagues was out, so no parts were shipped during this time. When I repeated that I placed an order ten days ago he unapologetically and with noticeable annoyance gave me a choice Do you want to wait until tomorrow when the employee will be back or cancel your order? I was rather displeased both with the service and the staff attitude.

Theyll low-ball you on trade-ins. Upwards of 10-15k so shop around. BMW of Concord in contrast provided much better trade-in value and easy albeit transactional buying experience.Moreover, Too much inventory oriented for boomers (m4-convertible lol, what a travesty) and every spectrum of soccer moms cars (235s, 230s, XMs)Service team has been easy to work but they left dry-cloth swirls on my paint. When I called the GM he played stupid and tried to give me the work around. Imagine being so short-sighted- e.g. a 20-30-min job with an electric buffer vs 3 BMWs purchased by family and friends just in the last 6-months.

Recently took my car to this dealership for four new tires and came home with a damaged rim. Notified the shop and they took weeks to get back with me. I had to follow up several times only to receive a text, not even the courtesy of a phone call, telling me that it wasn’t their fault. Needless to say, I will not be taking my cars back to BMW of Monterey!

From start to finish the whole process was calm, professional and enjoyable. I had recently visited four other dealerships in the area and your team is leaps and bounds above. When I walked in, I was greeted by a very professional and friendly receptionist (huge plus). John Polli handled the sale. Jimmy Nehrer handled the financing. Both equally professional, proficient and friendly. No pressure (unlike other dealerships), no hidden fees or costs (unlike other dealerships). Was in for annual check-up and anticipating a bill of around $350 as was the bill the previous year. It was $2700 and I was told Id get a 10% discount. I got $150, not $270. I was also told the car would be ready in 4 hours. It was 7 1/2 and had to call/text the advisor several times before finally getting a response 1 1/2 later. Then was told I had $4,000 of repairs needing done. Ive had this car for 8 1/2 years and put less than 25K miles on it.I love my 640i Grand Coup, have always had it serviced there but this time it was a REALLY bad experience!

On our way to watch the Super Bowl with no intention of buying a car we stopped by. My girlfriend fell in love with a car. Brand new just arrived with very few in the area. Knowing I had no leverage all I did was ask for a respectable offer. The sales manager offered just that. Most sales people and managers now are horrible. These two had us out the door before halftime was over. Can’t say enough good things about them. 4th BMW for us. We’ll be back.

As someone who is younger, walking into car dealerships it is easy to be dismissed as someone who is “just looking” or someone that can be taken advantage of. Thankfully, this was not the experience that I encountered when I arrived.Erdal offered to help right away and had no issue showing me the car I came to look at. I had several expensive things I needed done on my BMW. I was assigned an advisor WHO WENT ON JURY DUTY THAT AFTERNOON! Why would you assign a service advisor who isn’t available? This was a big job not an oil change! I also researched and saw that this dealership marks up (a lot) their parts. The quote I got was for a lump sum and not broken down to parts/labor/tax so I asked for that. I was sent a screen shot of their computer on just one item. I do not feel BMW Service was there to help me but to just make money for their over priced parts/service. Go somewhere else because if you do not know what you are doing you will be taken advantage of IMO. I did mention my frustration and disappointment when I picked up my car and wrote a review from BMW on my advisor and no one from BMW reached out.

When I arrived, the car was fully charged and fueled. It was sitting close to the front entrance and it was nice seeing it before talking to anyone. Then Joseph made process easy and smooth. Test drove was nice and appreciated the tips he gave on where to go. Got back, worked numbers, got everything finalized very quickly and efficiently. Service Experience: 2 months ago, took my vehicle, almost 5K car service, fine. Now 2 months later, my vehicle will not turn on, they are asking me to pay another 250 for a diagnosis test. I just paid 250 2 months ago and they didnt catch what was wrong my vehicle. Was told, you have to pay because technician do not work free. I know that!!! No one works free, I am aware of that! I would 100% recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a BMW down in the Monterey area. Make sure to ask for Salena Dominguez because she is the best to work with. I live and work in San Jose and ultimately ended up going with another dealership to purchase my iX solely because I fell in love with the Blue Ridge Mountain color and that was not available at Monterey at the time. Without a doubt though, I was looking for every possible reason to try and make a deal with Salena and the team here at Monterey. Had gone to check out a used car they had and was not really what was advertise which is not surprising but as I was having a conversation with the sales guy the Sales Manager decided to insert herself to let me know first time buyers “need to show proof of residency,” which is not true. No one else had ever said that to me and I was able to buy a car without showing proof residency.Their service department in previous years had been great, now they are awful. Will lie about doing an inspection and say there are no issues and fluids are all good and not low, which is false because later on you have to add fluid to your car because they never checked it. Also, will damage your car and will not admit to it or fix it even if you have proof and photos. Will waste your time and ignore your calls and messages too. Would definitely recommend going to a different BMW dealership for services, this was truly disappointing.

I will not be using BMW of Monterey to service my car or for future car purchases. The root problem from my perspective is they dont communicate well with one another internally. They made numerous commitments to me, the customer, and then consistently reneged on their commitments. What they failed to appreciate in each case was that I planned and scheduled my day and time around the commitments they made to me and when they reneged, it caused me other cascading problems. I fell for this 3 times and have now given up on this dealership. Mike C., Tommy, and Alex B. are all very apologetic and say all the right things, but when it came time to do what they told me they were gong to do, it 100% didnt happen. Nice guys, all of them, but I now do not trust any of them. Be warned: If they tell you theyre going to do something for you that sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And I still need to get the minor thing they broke on my car fixed.

I told him I’d had trouble finding and getting into a local car wash and he gave me some names of places I had not been aware of for my future reference. I bought a used car from BMW Monterey. I was told that they inspected the car and no issues found with the car. After 2.000 miles, oil pump failure lead total engine brake. I have been trying to tell them the issue and send them e-mails but all they say is car was already used. They reject to accept that I was wrongly informed. The experience was great, the service staff was excellent and I had my vehicle back sooner than expected. However, I was not informed of the three issues found during the multi-point inspection; those being an oil leak (which I would have wanted taken care of immediately), wheel alignment, and tire wear or damage. The wheel alignment and tire replacement that you offer are quite pricey for something I can get at a fraction of the cost, while still remaining at a high(er) standard. Overall, It was a great experience, but the over pricing of certain services is why I tend to look elsewhere for my vehicle service.

Took the day off to buy a car, I began the day by doing my online research and I landed on a certified 5-Series they had on the website. Long story short after going back and forth for 3-4 hours we came to an agreement on price and terms. I just went here to get my oil changed as I have iLife synthetic oil service(or whatever its called) and the service met all my needs perfectly. Clean as hell, quicker than expected, temperature was nice, music wasnt too loud and everyone was nice as could be.Oh and they washed my car and I didnt ask for it or know they even had a wash. It seems the service reps never listen to what I say and the problems I have always take multiple visits because what I asked for was never addressed. I never receive updates on the service status of my car even when overdue by a day or more. They have never responded to any voicemails Ive left. Made an appointment online and called to find out details of the current warranty the vehicle has, was transferred multiple times without being able to talk to a person. Left a vm, 4 hours later got a call back to tell me they couldnt see the info in the system and have to call the finance department instead. Called back the services number, this time talked to a different person who magically was able this time to actually see the info in the system, when I asked for a copy, he got rude, told my I was given a flash drive when I purchased the vehicle - from them, mind you that was in 2018, and if I am not ok with that I can call their finance department and try to get a copy, he also talk on top of me, didnt let me speak, told me the conversation is over and hang up. So I guess you cannot get a copy of your purchased warranty from them, and once you pay for it, they cannot see it in the system want to charge you for the service- it happened last time I took the car for service, and make you jump through a thousand hoops to get them to find your information in the system if it benefits you- like the extended warranty. The dealer ship was very fair in during the buying process. We drove almost 100 miles to buy the car and it was totally worth the effort. The people at Monterey BMW were friendly and the buying experience was what I expected from a premium/luxury dealer- it wasnt filled with constant back and forth on pricing and it also wasnt pretentious or overbearing. Kyle- the salesperson I worked with, was a great help and easily the most knowledgable person Ive dealt with when buying cars. He knew the vehicle (428) inside and out. They did try their best to get me to buy additional warranties (expected), but it was a confusing mess and not what I thought would happen at BMW. Perhaps it was because we closed at the end of the day, but it could have been more straightforward and better handled by the actual salesperson versus the financing department. Overall, I definitely think its a great place to look and buy a BMW .

I purchased a pre-owned exotic from BMW of Monterey a few weeks ago sight unseen (I am Los Angeles based). My communication with the dealers representative, Bryan Williams, was quick and effective as he got back to me promptly and went the extra mile to make sure the due diligence went forward smoothly. The deal was finalized quickly as well with minimal back and forth and the dealership arranged for shipping down to LA. Although the shipping process was not perfect, the car got here quickly as well. Upon arrival, I discovered a couple of issues that left me unhappy but the dealership stepped up and Amir Mohsin (the pre-owned sales director) took charge and made sure I was taken care of. I see they have 4.8 out of 5 stars, so most will skip this review, but here it is: Nothing great for a dealership. Sales folks, super nice and helpful, but the business department, a total mess, and service missed the fact the 2018 vehicle I bought for my 16 year old had literally no rear brakes. Business folks mis-titled the car, failed to get signatures from prior seller in correct locations, did not register the BMW Certified warranty, among other issues. The excuse from the Business Department was the person who did the paperwork is no longer with them, I guess a good thing. Service at least admitted to not doing a a full inspection of the vehicle, can you say safety issue? Worst part, all left to me address and to get a return call from them when there is an issue is like pulling teeth from an angry tiger, impossible, or lots of let me get you to the other department, no ownership. To date still no sorry, just more wasted time. You can only be told they are on lunch or they left for the day so many times, especially when coupled with no return call. If you use BMW of Monterey check your paperwork and know, if they mess up, it was expected and it will be mostly up to you to resolve. If you have another dealership within 45 minutes, try to get a matching deal and do the drive.

This is a very disappointing BMW. I was proud to purchase my first new 2021 BMW X4 due to my perception of the brand, quality and customer service. However, after I purchased my BMW I have realized their customers service was not different from any other car dealership. This is 2 fold, for one when trying to determine on our next car purchase we were eager to understand the ROI of going electric vs gas, which I feel should be a very robust ROI to present to a customer to encourage going electric for many reasons but specifically for cost savings, the salesman at this Monterey BMW told me to look it up on google... seriously!!?? Second, when it comes to getting the car serviced, you never can get ahold of the desk to schedule, then when you do it takes longer to service than you were told, our keys sat on the desk of a someone who took their lunch for an hour causing us to just wait for an hour then when they said our car was ready they could not tell us where and had to drive us around on a golf cart to find our car which meant it had probably been done for hours. We will not go back to this BMW and I am now reconsidering purchasing any more BMWs.

Very odd and strange experience buying a car through this dealership. I can only attribute it to Sunday understaffing and practices in the dealership. I personally would not buy any car from this dealership and would not suggest you to try either. _FIND_SOMEBODY_ELSE_ who really care about the customers, since you paying them in form of commision for the way you get treated. I purchased used Fiat with them. As soon as I worked in into the place I been told that nobody there to help for at least 30 min... should of been a tell tell sign. When sales person finally appeared I was shown a car. I asked to show 5 cars which was advertised online, only 1 was actually shown. The rest were unavailable : in service or sold.... Why they are advertised as available when they are not just blows my mind. After I suggested that I would like to purchase the car I was told that it is likely take 1-2hr and I have to wait for finance manager who is not available. We agreed to meetup in 2hr. I got a call that they are not ready yet, but and should come back at 4:30 (one more hour latter)... when I got there... I waited without anybody talking with me for another 1:30hr. By the time we were done it was almost 7pm. That is 8hr since we started..... All that time salesperson had time to prepare the car....On top of that salesperson never mention to me a body damage (passenger door scratch) on the car. I failed to see it myself - my fault. Yet buying car at luxury car dealership you would expect that car salesman is aware of such detail and will point out to you that.Got home (5 min drive) to find a scratch... Contacted dealership.... no response ... not even a small note... nothing....Why would you want to buy a car from luxury dealership, pay commission and receive 0 customer service and waist 8hr on car transaction....? Just stay away, put your time and money at somebody who cares.

Made for a very pleasant buying experience.Over the years I have bought a number of new cars in the area and it has always been a rather unpleasant experience bordering on the feeling I was dealing with a Nigerian prince who needed somebody to look after a sum of money!Full disclosure, I am extremely skeptical of car sales people and one sniff of slimy or not completely honest and I am gone!This was completely different. They had a car in inventory that I liked the look of. I got an internet price from Gary with no fuss. I had done a lot of research before going into buying a new car this time and knew from Kellys Blue Book and others what I might expect in terms of cost. Other dealers had sworn blind about what a good deal they were offering while I knew that was in fact not the case.However, the price I got first time up from Gary was actually slightly better than expected so I knew I at least had a good yardstick to test that price with other dealers. Nobody else was offering as good a deal so I made the 60 mile drive to the dealership for a closer look.At that point we met Phil who took me for a test drive and explained the plethora of toys on the car. When I told him my wife and I wanted to chat it over. He got us coffee gave us a place to go and left us alone until we were ready to talk. We spent some time chatting to him and to Gary and both of them were friendly, seemed very straight talking and easy to work with without any of the many shabby sales ploys that tend to leave you feeling a bit violated.After a bit of discussion, we wrapped up the deal pretty easily. I had told Gary that I was looking to avoid a previous experience with the post sales person trying to scare you into many unnecessary add ons and he assured me they would not do it.I was asked one question on that by the Finance Manager (who was terrific), I said no I dont want any of it and it was done!Since the purchase I have had phone calls to check everything was good as well as offers to help out with any issues.The experience was even better because I was bracing myself for it being a pain but that does not take away from what a good job these guys did and have promised to do in the coming months and years.I would unreservedly recommend the dealership on the strength of how it went with the people I met. In fact I already did. When you get a new car, people talk to you about it especially if they too are in the market for something similar.

I had emailed Mike about ordering some more DINAN performance products to fuel my addiction and not only was he able to order them right away as usual, but was also able to get me a 10% discount through DINAN. When the products came in he got me in for an appointment right away and was able to reserve a loaner car for me. My car was completed earlier than expected which was very exciting for me. As this was a suspension upgrade, Mike was careful to explain that the characteristics of the car would be very different and to get used to it again. As a DINAN fan himself, he really knows what he is talking about. The suspension is much different compared to stock and it definitely required some getting used to before finding my new limits. I’m glad I took his advice. Thanks for all your help Mike. My M2 is now a 450 horsepower monster with the right suspension suspension set up to take it to the track shall I choose to do so.

My experience time after time with the Monterey (Seaside) Service Department has not been pleasant. I purchased my vehicle here 5 years ago and continued to bring it for service because its a short drive from Watsonville vs San Jose. However, once my sale was complete Ive received nothing but terrible service. Im not sure if the service I get is based because I am a young Hispanic woman. Also dont expect a loaner vehicle. Their shuttles are scheduled at 9:00 and 11:00am only. If your schedule for service after 9 expect to wait uncomfortably in the small service department area till the next shuttle or till your vehicle is ready. My recent service rep Joe was not friendly or welcoming, I brought my car in for a recall and I was treated like I was begging for money. I plan on trading my car in but this time Ive decided to go to BMW of Stevens Creek because of their loyal customer service.

I recently moved to the Monterey area from San Francisco. I was looking for a place to have my Mini Cooper serviced. I called your business thinking BMW would be able to service my car. While I was told a routine oil change could be completed, any warranty work could not be done as you do not carry Mini parts. So, since I only wanted an oil change, I made an appt.Everyone was very nice, however it took 3 oil changes to get it right. Oil kept leaking from the drain plug. As it turned out, the first and second mechanic had replaced the original O ring with a BMW part. It clearly did not fit properly. Only when the Mgr. named Jeremy stepped in did it get fixed by using the original O ring. This experience was very stressful.The end result was finally okay, but I didnt really understand why the O ring got replaced if it didnt need replacing.I hope to return someday, but hopefully this would never happen again.Thank you for your courteousness.

Review of service department: Undoubtedly the worst experience Ive ever had in any service industry. Late, rude, broke my windshield and accused me of being a liar. On arrival (10:35) I waited for 10 minutes for a service technician to check me in. After going inside to find somebody to help I was told to wait at Mikes desk. He was with another customer and would be back soon. Another 10 minutes past and an alternative service rep asked what I needed. I explained that I was in for a air bag recall and had requested the shuttle into town whilst the work was performed. He said the work would be 2-3 hours and shuttle pickup would be at 2pm (which I explained was important because I needed to be back home to pick up the kids from school). No proper check in, just a scribbled note to mike [this turned out to be a big mistake on my behalf..]At 2:20, no shuttle, so I called to remind them of pickup. Back at the dealer at 2:50 (now running very late for school pickup) I asked them to expedite checkout and payment of my service inspection fee. At 3:15 I had the keys to my car and was finally on my way, or so I thought...I realized that the windscreen had been cracked (a big 12 crack right above the steering wheel)! I reported to issue to Mike, who was too busy to help, so another rep took and look and promptly called the manager. I explained that the windshield was not cracked when I brought the car in and it must have been done during replacement of the steering airbag or on test drive. They told me I had obviously not noticed the crack when I brought the car in. Not noticed!!! I had just driven 35 miles to the dealer with my girlfriend and it would have been impossible to have not noticed such a large crack RIGHT ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL! After some discussion, the manager of the service department point blank refused any responsibility and said that the intake paperwork showed the windscreen as existing damage.It was at this point that I realized my check in mistake... in a rush to get on to the shuttle, the proper intake procedure was not followed. Why didnt I take a couple of photos of the car [something I routinely do when renting, etc]. Given the chaos that morning, I bet the car was worked on, test drove and then all the paperwork completed AFTER the window had been cracked. I didnt have time to argue anymore, it was 3:30, my girlfriend and I were already way late to fetch kids. I was disgusted and angry -- I was accused of lying about the state of the car. I felt like I was being treated like some punk kid that was trying to cheat the system [Im over 50 and my integrity and fairness is fundamental to my life ethics]. My girlfriend was physically sick, worried about her son and speak-less about how a supposedly premium car company could treat repeat BMW buyers like this and accuse us of fabricating a story.What am I going to do now? Eat the $1000 cost of a windshield replacement, I guess. And make sure that everybody is aware of the suspect practices and quality of Monterey BMW service department.In summary, steer well clear of this service department -- Stevens Creek (San Jose) BMW is much better. Always make sure you properly document the state of your vehicle prior to handing over the keys, treat time estimates with a pinch of salt, they are not concerned about your time.

Great BMW dealer! I would say they are the best in Northern California. People are friendly and professional. I didnt feel any pressure or sketchy behavior from them. Edward was a true pleasure to work with, he made our whole car buying process a breeze and enjoyable. This is NOT the BMW car buying experience you get from Stevens Creek or Mountain View. I would definitely recommend BMW of Monterey and I myself will definitely go back to them.

Terrific experience. Have really enjoyed owning BMWs before and was thinking about a new car (kids off to college, time to ditch the SUV) but there are so many choices in sports cars these days. Dropped by this dealership to drool over the (as yet unattainable for me) i8 and saw the prettiest black hardtop convertible with red leather interior. Decided to sleep on my impulse buy and check it out on the web - but couldnt find that car anywhere else! The next day was busy and I drove from San Jose but they were great about getting the purchase process going over the phone so I was in and out quickly with my beautiful new toy. I now enjoy driving again! Everyone was very friendly, no high pressure tactics - my sales guy was Edward.

The service was good and timely. The reason for the deductive star is the service advisor took my key fab and assessed the services needed but failed to notice the notification that my turn signal bulb was malfunctioning. He made sure to offer additional services beyond those recommended by BMW but not the necessary repair that showed up. His excuse was that i needed to tell him of repairs i wanted. My BMW is fully covered for these repairs and it should have been picked up by either the service advisor or technician. If there is a notification, BMW service needs to repair it or advise the client that it needs to be fixed

I have a great salesman, Michael,(Micha) he went thru all the things I had to know before leaving the show room then called to see if I had any questions. I did end up coming back in for further information concerning my cell phone, Im getting older so things dont sinK in as fast,but after he went thru this tutorial and I felt I understood he offered to have my car washed.I love the car and Michael is terrific.
