I have had my vehicle into BMW of Escondido multiple times for service from regular maintenance to major repairs. Every time Eric Hall and the team at BMW of Escondido are a pleasure to work with. The service is beyond reproach. I will continue to have my cars serviced there and recommend their service department to other BMW owners.

I originally purchased my car from North Scottsdale BMW. I brought my car to BMW of Escondido for some repairs and services. Ana was our main point of contact. She was very nice, professional and very helpful. The repairs and services we needed took a few weeks. So We were given an amazing loaner vehicle for the time being. The staff is amazing at this location! When we received our car back. They ensured everything was perfect. Thank you BMW Escondido!

It was easy to schedule a service appointment. The staff is friendly and efficient. They completed all the service I asked for. They called an Uber ride for me, because I had to go back to work while they were working on my car. My only complaint, they dont wash the car like in other BMWs I have visited before.

I brought in my 2018 BMW X1 for maintenance. Michael Duplessis took over the processing of the paperwork. He plugged in the key fob connected to my SUV’s system and got all the info required to get it serviced. He then looked over the current discounts offered at this time and applied them with the estimate. He also offered the oil service special good for three years, which is a really good deal. I commend Michael for his attentive attitude to the clients.

Mike is a fantastic Service Writer and does a tremendous job keeping me informed and all options. My issue is with BMW itself. We replaced all 4 tires less than a year ago. No issues there, but did pay a premium due to it being BMW and a dealer. We picked up a screw in the front passenger tire and scheduled an appointment for the repair. The screw was center of the wheel so an easy fix. I was informed of my options - Replace the tire under warranty for $90 or go to Discount Tire and have them fix the repair. My problem here is that i paid BMW a premium for these tires and service and was let down on the both sides. I could have paid DT less and gotten the service right away, yet i feel i made the wrong decision with BMW. It should not be on DT dime to a repair a tire they were never compensated on to begin with. It’s a bad service model by BMW. Going forward i will not be buying tires from BMW.

Nail in one of our Pirelli run flat tires. While shopping for a replacement tire I remembered we paid for wheel and tire coverage when we bought our certified 2020 M50i X5 last year. Service people were great, no charges to install new tire and they paid for my Uber ride home. Having the 5 year wheel and tire warranty saved us $550.00.

I highly recommend BMW of Escondido. I purposely drive 45 minutes out of my way to take my car in for service at this dealership when I have a BMW dealership 15 minutes from my house. To whom it may concern, I want to share my experience with the BMW of Escondido team and service. I took my BMW 330i to my nearest BMW location. Located at 330 S Hale Ave, Escondido, CA 92029. I had bought my car to BMW as the car’s system was marking a failure in the parking sensors. A person by the name of named HARRIS FECHER (SERVICE ADVISOR), which I could tell he was a terrible arrogant racist person within the very first minutes I met him. But anyway, I explained to him about my situation and problem with my car in which he removed with “leave it. We will check it out and call you.” He never called me however. And I had to call him. When I called him, he told me the sensor was damaged and they could not fix it because it was allegedly damaged from the outside. I had explained to Harris that my vehicle is under a warranty for sensors. He told me, again, that they we cant fix it. So then I proceeded to ask and speak to a supervisor named WILLIAM ASARO (SERVICE MANAGER). This manager told me that they could not fix the sensor because although it was under warranty, it didn’t not cover outside sensor damage. I asked him if he was sure the damage was in the outer part of the sensor. He responded and said “it seemed so”. I asked him if I could can I take my car to another auto shop I trust in and William told me that it’s was not a good idea. William claims he has 30 years of customer service experience. But yet I saw him yelling in the hallways of BMW. There was a 5-year-old child there, it seems as the child was very frightened of how William was yelling in the hallways and overall behaving. I spent more than $40,000 on my car with full cover insurance, under full warranty, and yet this company does not want to do a single thing anything for my situation or its customers. What a great disappointment. regret having been associated, attended, and buying a car from this company.

Dont go here. Ive had 2 bad experiences with the service department already. The last one happened last week. I was due for an oil change and the Vehicle Check indicator was also on. I asked what was entailed in a vehicle check and the advisor stated it was a more detailed and thorough inspection of vehicle beyond the courtesy check they provide. I hesitantly agreed to the vehicle check at a cost of $120 so they could clear the notification. When I came back to pick up my car it was obvious that they didnt really do anything that I should have paid extra for. The courtesy checklist that they normally provide stated my tire pressure was at the correct level. It was not, it was very low. I drove back to the service department and my advisor wasnt there. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they were busy. Eventually, the advisor returned and ended up filling the tires with air with the Ryobi pump himself. It was obvious the tech just made up the numbers for the tire pressure which led me to believe they dont really do a thorough vehicle check. It felt like a waste of money because there was no indication in the paperwork that anything beyond the video courtesy check was done. The advisor sent a follow up text, I responded and he said he would have a manager call me. No one called up to this point. I also called and left a voicemail with the service dept. to have a manager to call me back, but that too has been ignored. Dont go here. Theyll just charge you for fun.

You can’t ask for a better service advisor than Mike Duplessis. As any other human being when seeing the miles getting closer to the end of your warranty you want to do all possible maintenance to your vehicle before it becomes expensive. I first made an appointment with 5K miles left and even though the brakes were super squeaky they were still not meeting the qualifications for them to be replaced. It wasn’t the news I wanted to hear but Mike said hey make an appointment when it gets close to your 50k mile warranty and ask to drive with a Manager. So I did, I made an appointment with 49,900 miles aka 100 miles until warranty is completely over and WOW! Awesome advice, not only did I get my rear breaks done, I also got my front breaks, spark plugs, oil change, windshield wipers, and a new battery for my key fob. ALL UNDER WARRANTY! But from the moment you check in to the process of getting your loaner vehicle it’s so smooth and everyone is super friendly. Highly recommend this location.

Took my car in because the filter had a very bad smell. They said it was fixed then I pick up my car and immediately it smelt bad. I then had to take my car in again to get the filter smell fixed. The service department should have simply turned the air on, determined if it smelt bad or not before saying it was fixed and having me pick my car up.

I know that BMW strives for excellence and I was surprised of the rating for the BMW of Escondido Service Center; however, after my last two visits I completely understand and stand by my 1 star rating.Miscommunication cost me a +$500 error. After receiving the video of the service tech’s walkthrough the advisor called me and we verbally went over the likely cost of all services / repairs. At that time I stated to not have any of the work done and asked if I could receive the full service quote in writing (instead of the approximate costs stated over the phone) and also have someone from sales come to give an appraisal as the work needed/suggested could be a great down payment on something new. I asked if those requests could be done simultaneously so I could make the best decision possible (either moving forward with service or trading in my car and starting fresh). The service advisor said no problem. I received the services quote same day; however, did not receive appraisal value until I reached out several times the next day. As I was having a hard time getting in touch with sales, the day after I took my car in, I told my advisor that regardless of the appraisal value I would not be moving forward with any of the services. He said he understood and would let me know when my vehicle was ready for pick up. When I went to pick it up I expected a bill between $250-$300 for the inspection; however, to my surprise the bill was $763.85. I asked what that all was for and it turns out some of the work was done. The advisor told me that I had already signed off on the 3 oil change package and brake fluid and that those services had already been completed by the time he had called me with the inspection results. This was never told to me via phone or email, and it was my understanding that since I requested no work to be completed as I was considering a trade-in, that no services would be completed (as he has verbally and in email confirmed that he understood and no problem). I asked for a manager but was told the service manager was on vacation and that there was nothing they could do about the charges. I asked if I could have the oil change package removed, as what good would having additional oil changes so me as I made the decision to sell the car, and just pay for the one conducted and was told no; but, that the good news is that the oil changes are on the VIN thus transferable to the new owner.This was a very frustrating experience, especially since it was my second visit because the first visit I booked in early September led to me being turned away because there were no loaner vehicles available (I had selected alternative transportation on the request) and that the right technicians were not in for the services requested.After making the decision to trade in my car, I had an x3 picked out, checkbook in hand; however, after all of this I’m reconsidering my years of loyalty for BMW or at least BMW Escondido, as I haven’t had any problems with BMW San Diego.

I went to this dealer today to repair the cracked windshield. When I was waiting in the lobby, I asked the staff for Wifi password, and I was told that no public Wifi was available. It happens very rarely at BMW dealers but I accepted it. I was supposed to meet Hector, but he wasnt available so someone else met me instead. He asked me upfront that if I was ready to go through insurance without even looking closely at the crack. The crack occurred inside the windshield without damage on the surface, and my car was pretty new, so its purely a quality issue. When I pointed that out, he found two people to examine the crack, and one of them pointed out a very tiny spot a few inches away from the crack, and concluded that was the cause, which was ridiculous. Anyways, they totally denied the warranty coverage given the fact that its obviously a quality issue even with their conclusion because the windshield should NOT crack with such tiny impact. I have been a BMW loyal customer for five years, and I seriously doubt if I should continue to do so.

There are other BMW service centers that are located closer to me, but I will always drive to this Escondido Service Center because they care about their clients! I have been working with Michael D for at least a decade now and he is the best!! Not only is he friendly and cares about his client as an individual, he is always genuine and will give you his thoughts and recommendations. I really appreciate that honesty and knowing I can trust him with the needs and maintenance of my car. They are also wonderful with communication and will update you throughout the service. Honestly the entire team here is wonderful! A shout out to Kendra and Natalie who are always so helpful in getting me larger loaner cars so that I can easily put in the car seats. Quick turnaround on service. Nice customer lounge to wait while your car is serviced. Mike, the service writer, was friendly and brought money saving service specials to my attention without any pressure to buy them. I usually dont recommend dealership service centers but Ill make an exception for BMW of Escondido. Just be aware that the service center is a separate facility apart from the dealership and is located at a separate street address.

I brought a family members 2011 bmw I inherited for service. Eric H was my primary point of contact, he was awesome. He was able to find that a part on my vehicle was covered under warranty. I couldnt believe it, I ended up getting a major repair done for free. All of the staff that worked here were great. I never considered buying a BMW until I interacted with the people here. It was the most wonderful experience. All the way up until the very end... I took my BMW in for some recalls. Even though my car is older, it is in very good condition. Minus the barley noticable dent in the back door from my toddler. Upon picking my car up from the service center, I noticed my hood emblem was missing. I am most certain it was there when I arrived because I take great pride and care in my car. When I brought the missing emblem to the attention of the service writer the response I got in lieu of and apology was Well its not technically missing. Its just delaminated. The heat or something must have loosened it. WHAT...!?! Needless to say I was extremely dissatisfied with this response. To be quite honest, I was in such shock I calmly got back in my vehicle and drove away. This is not the kind of response or service I had expected from a BMW dealership. What if I had returned the courtesy car without its emblem? Im very bummed about it and I will not be returning. Maybe try another service center. Wouldnt want something to fall off of your car too.

Brought my 2007 530i in for an alignment and recall service. Alignment was done to spec and recall was repaired without an issue. Both services took a day and I was provided with a free loaner.My only issue was that as part of their “free” multi-point inspection, the technician missed stuff. I know my car has a left front suspension issue that causes a slight rattle when going over bumps at low speed. This problem is not really an issue for me which is why I didn’t bring it up when I dropped off the car. The car also has a small oil leak. A year ago someone tried to take advantage of me at a BMW dealership in Vista. When I went to BMW in Escondido, my experience was completely different. My advisor Michael Duplessis was very thorough in explaining what repairs were needed on my car, what I needed to have done ASAP for safety reasons and other options available to me. Based on our discussions I knew I could trust Michael and a decision was made on how to proceed.As it turned out, the bill was actually less than expected as it wasn’t necessary to perform all the services indicated on my automobile’s computer analysis. Michael didn’t have to tell me that but did because he is honest and didn’t want me to pay for services I did not need. For me, Vista BMW is now history. For our most recent visit for our 2018 X5, they were able to accommodate a same-day appt with BMW loaner when a nearby location was booking 1 week out, and unable to guarantee it would be a BMW.Mike is consistently exceptional and always tries to go above and beyond for us. Last time he was able to find warranty coverage after another location told us it definitely wouldn’t be covered and quoted $2k (and then afterwards they saw it was indeed covered). While driving my new BMW near Escondido my tire picked up a screw and the warning system advised pulling over. I was able to run the tire to this business arriving at 5 pm on a Friday. Oil change for my M4. Got me in and out quickly. Mike was quick, informative, and professional. Quoted 90 minutes, but had me on the road in an hour, and that included a complimentary wash and vacuum. Comfortable waiting area, though I was surprised that they didnt open their WiFi network to customers. No bother, I was able to tether to my phone and work anyway. My one gripe is that my oil service was supposed to include a multi-point inspection, including brakes. I didnt see any sort of printout of this inspection on leaving and this morning, on my way to the office, my brake system light came on telling me it was time to change my pads. Odd timing, but certainly a good indication that the inspection was not completed as advertised. I will be back for sure, but the only reason I ever take my car to the dealer is so that I get access to proactive information. That did not happen in this case.

However I am extremely annoyed and frustrated that BMW was unwilling to work with their customers on maintenance packages that they were unable to use due to covid. i bought a maintenance package for $3000 and only got TWO oil changes before it expired a few days ago. I simply wasn’t driving my car since I couldn’t go into work for over a year and a half. A small extension on the package would have gone a LONG way in my loyalty. While there, they identified a couple of additional things that were still covered on an extended warranty, which didnt require any payment on my part. Because they needed to keep my car over the weekend, they provided both Uber and a courtesy vehicle, with no cost to me.Its nice to find ONE person in a business establishment who is pleasant to work with. They took our number, but called my wifes ex husband instead. Twice. (When asked why we were not called first, our question wasnt even acknowledged.) When BMW of Vista made excuses about a service I’ve had for 15 years Escondido of BMW found it common place. The teamwork was smooth and delightful. Came in for 3 recalls on my BMW M3. They scratched my steering wheel being careless and didnt even notify me I had to point it out and have the service manager compare it with pictures they take when you drop your vehicle off. Sure enough it was not there. I got no apology, nothing other than it will take 3 days to get the part. Also when servicing the faulty battery cable there were miscellaneous loose bolts in the battery box! Needless to say I was surprised at the sub par attention to details. The service managers were helpful but again, the actual service was not up to expectation for a BMW dealership

We have left our vehicle for a scheduled service for a day. The tires were perfect before we arrived, otherwise, the electronic screen inside the car would display there was a problem with tire pressure or so. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, the agent and manager told us there is a hole inside one the tire and we must change the tire!!!!! It’s a lie! They have mist likely damaged it while the maintenance process and are trying to make us feel it’s our fault. I’ll file every possible complaint regarding the issue. It’s ridiculous.

Brought car in for oil leak. First repair diagnosis inaccurate. Oil leak continued. Second repair a few weeks later. Diagnosis suggests attempt an other repair; inaccurate. Brought back car 800 miles later with continued oil leak. Service manager says “don’t worry all of our repairs are guaranteed for two years. You have nothing to worry about.” Dealer says first two repairs were done right. A third repair is needed and we are not sure if that will do it. I’m >$3k into this and they asked for more money with no assurance the oil leak would be solved. Their two year guarantee is meaningless as long as they keep suggesting different repairs. I decided not to continue and am going to another mechanic. I would avoid the service department at BMW Escondido and I’ll be telling the same to everyone.

BMW Escondido recently worked on my 2012 3 series that needed some engine work after 165k miles and many years of mostly trouble free service. The BMW Escondido team did a great job with the repair, car is basically running like new now and I hope to keep it for several more years!

They couldn’t align my wheels because they only use equipment for bmw wheels only, they couldn’t do a courtesy wash after the 800 Bill. They left the seat cover and other trash in my passager seat, they have no WiFi for the customers and the cellular in that area is non existent. Couldn’t download my proof of insurance so I couldn’t get a loaner. They were nice and offered an Uber, I told Noah the sales rep I can just walk home it’s only 10 min, he said I can get a shuttle. I Wait several minutes to get a text the shuttle will be there in 10 min. Gave up and just walked home. Asked them to replace a missing screw where the boost controller is, my fault it was missing. 10 min job max, they wanted to charge me an 1hr and a half labor. The service rep was at lunch so I ended up mentioning it to Noah and Noah responded ( The service tech has to get paid too) being very snarky. I said it’s a 10 min job max, he shot back ( Sir I don’t want to argue with you)... Seriously why do you allow people to work in an upper end car dealership with an attitude like that. He knew I was having a bad experience and just fueled the fire... Apart of the experience when you buy a bmw is the service. Audi service was amazing, BMW not so much...Never again will I take it to the dealership. Better to support the small mom and pop shops.Update: A week hasnt even gone by and I get a drivetrain malfunction warning. Car started running rough and went into limp mode. Luckily BMW Vista was close by and was able to limp her in the service center. I come to find out that I was correct when I asked the service consultant at Escondido if I should get my plugs changed, he said my records said no, that I would be fine for another 10k miles. Vista BMW recommended that the plugs should be replaced at 60k. The car is only a few hundred miles till I hit 60k, why Escondido didnt recommend Im not sure. I also come to find out that both my rear axle seals were leaking and recommended that I have them rebooted. I agreed and had them do the repair. They also recommended that I get my car aligned, surprised because Escondido was not able to to do the alignment on my car. Remember that missing bolt that was missing from the boost controller that Escondido wanted to charge an hour and a half for labor for max a 10 min job, Vista BMW just did it free of charge. At this point Im doing back flips. The courteous Service that Ramon Ventura gave me and the very detailed paperwork with pics of all the issues before and after the repair is nothing Ive seen before from any repair shop. One last surprise, they washed my car for me, they didnt leave the seat protecters and trash in the passenger seat. Ramon was professional, informative and knowledgeable about all the questions I had. This dealership was a complete different experience and renewed my hope in dealerships. Guess where we are going when we get my fiancé her BMW. Escondido, you missed out on additional repair costs and also selling another vehicle. You lost my trust Escondido of BMW, thank you again Ramon and BMW of Vista...

My BMW was originally going in for Break fluid flush and the technician stated 3 tired were bald. I ended up replacing them as well. Michael was my service advisor. He was professional and applied my email discount towards my Break fluid replacement. I would definitely go back and recommend.

The service center at BMW of Escondido always does an excellent job of providing top level maintenance and routine service for my X5. The service area is clean, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the work is always completed on time. They also offer loaner vehicles which makes it easy to drop off in the morning, get a loaner vehicle for the day, and pick up in the evening.

As a woman going into auto place you always have the worry about unnecessary charges. And yes there was a little confusion on what was asked and what was done. My husband just picked car up and wanted to understand the charged, was not asking for anything free. I will give BMW of Escondido 5 STAR because of James service manager. A plus customer service he listened researched and did not charge us at all. I may change my service adviser but will def be back to this dealership. Have been to another local service Bmw kearny Mesa, hands down Escondido the best, farther drive but it’s where I would go.

I took my car to the Escondido BMW for service. This car has been in for service for mechanical problems more than any other BMW we have owned. Here is my experience with my service adviser Michael and service manager James Baumer. First when I arrived my loaner vehicle had vomit all over the back seat and had to wait for them to bring down a loaner vehicle which again was not clean . My car that I dropped off for service shakes really bad when you step on the breaks the steering is compromised making it unsafe. Also, my car had this black smoke coming out of the tail pipe again . I had to call after 4 days to get in touch with our service adviser Michael who relayed to me that they have been very busy and unable to look at the car yet. After another few days I finally heard from Michael was in touch to let me know that my brakes are fine they noticed a slight shake but nothing they felt needed replacing. Then went on to tell me the turbo line needed replacing and the car would be done in two days. I explained the brakes to Michael and he went on to say the mechanic looked at them and they dont meet the criteria to have them fixed and they believe they are safe. I found this hard to believe so I met with the mechanic who has worked for BMW for over 20 years. The mechanic met me on Saturday and went on a drive with me. Interestingly enough the mechanic stated he told the service guy Michael that my brake pads were fine and measured at 11 mm, however the disk that they rotated in 2017 were worn and he said they need to be replaced. He then said BMW just started rotating disk and that it has made customers upset because the way the disks are made are not like a Chevy or Ford and are not intended to be rotated but need to be replaced. He apologized for wasting my time on a Saturday stated he would let Michael know and that Michael would send an email to a team that makes decisions to get the brakes fixed properly. The email was sent and the claim to fix my brakes was declined. I requested the email trail, which BMW would not give me. I was provided a 1.800 number instead. I called the 1.800 number and was walked through my warranty and maintenance coverage by a representative online and was shown where my extended platinum plan covers my brakes and disks at a 50.00 deductible. I provided this information and again they said that I am not covered and i would need to pay 455.00 out of pocket to have the brakes fixed. I have filed an official complaint . I also have left messages because I also have not been given the 200.00 hold deposit for the loaner vehicle back and have emailed James without response other then check with my bank which I did and they show no return hold from BMW and I relayed this to James and still no response. I have had similar problems when my car locks would not always unlock and even had a video to show them, this took me 3 visits to get the locks fixed. I was also told that because the locks worked some of the time that it wouldnt be covered under warranty? I am not happy with the service department in Escondido at all.

I felt like I was treated like a second class citizen. Harris kept saying I should wait for my car bc loaners were in high demand. He asked me when I will get it back to them and that it needs to be by 9 am! I explained I would do my best but I shoupd add I’ve been coming to this service center for the past 4 years for my BMW and that the issue they were fixing for the 3rd time was the back brake light bar that has fallen out due to being defective 3 seperate times and I was charged the first two times! Be kind and value your customers is the bottom line.

I bought a vehicle from BMW of Escondido in 2020. At the time of purchase, I paid for the Cilajet paint sealant or “Ceramic Coating.” The dealership completely skipped the paint preparation stage and applied the product, or so I was told. The process took about 45 minutes. The vehicle was left with swirl marks and water spots all over. Several months later, I scheduled an appointment to have the car prepped correctly and the product reapplied under warranty. I was told they would take extra care of it and remove all swirl marks. The staff was friendly throughout my visit, but the car still looks the same. It looks like they just washed it and halfway waxed it. Swirl marks were still all over the vehicle, and even water smear marks. They also applied the product inside the vehicle, and now my new car smells like chemicals instead of premium leather. Overall, BMW Escondido provided a great buying experience, but they are not professional detailers, and should not be pushing “Ceramic Coating” onto customers. Know better and don’t let a dealership wash or detail your cash, they will ruin the paint. Definitely skip the extra options they offer, regardless of how much they pressure you into it. A good experience turned bad by BMW Escondido because they wanted to make an extra $1200.

I should pick up my car on last Friday. But the car was ready without anyone’s notice. I left a message on Friday, Saturday and the following Monday. I kept checking my car status. Finally, The service advisor got the phone and told me that it was too busy to call me up on Friday. The car was ready on last Friday.I had a loaner car. There was a 100 mile limitation on the loaner car which gave me a hard time to cancel an important meeting in Los Angels. And there was no oneAnswered my phone at service department on Saturday too.
