2024-05-23 22:50:31I am new to the world of underwater photography and called Bluewater with 1,000 questions. I am beyond thankful for the multiple conversations I have had with Mark in getting my first underwater kit! He went over every detail, multiple brands, lens options, etc and then some! I went in very confused and now feel so confident and excited with my choice. Bluewater has a new customer for life! Prices are fair, discussions are honest, and they truly help tailor to your needs.

2024-01-15 20:35:35Bluewater Photo is the best one stop shop for underwater photography. Ive bought equipment from them for over ten years and have always been impressed with the depth of knowledge of the sales team. Most recently, Ive worked with Mark Strickland. Marks friendly and approachable demeanor made the entire process enjoyable. Mark took the time to listen attentively to my requirements and provided expert advice on what gear would best suit my specific needs. He walked me through the pros and cons of different setups, ensuring I had a comprehensive understanding before making any decisions. His expertise was evident, and I felt confident in the choices we made together. He even shared some helpful tips for how I can take better underwater photos. Its clear that he is not just about selling products; hes passionate about fostering a community of skilled photographers.

2024-04-17 19:25:52Great products, fair prices, and excellent customer service! I have purchased multiple items from Bluewater Photo in the past and will continue to use them in future for all my underwater photography purchase. They are located outside of my state so I have ordered all of my items through their website. A great experience all around!

2024-05-07 01:30:44This is a very poor company that advertises stock and availability for a fast turnaround falsely and doesnt have the capability to communicate in a proper manner.I needed an urgent replacement for a small setup and they were advertising a very fast turnaround so I placed an order. I originally tried placing an order off my visa card by my bank immediately stopped it and refused to pay it. That should have been a red flag and I wish I listened to it. I was travelling in a remote area at the time, and finally managed to get an order through on paypal a few days later. They didnt have the camera and said Sony has stopped supplying it and so offered either 8 week turnaround on an order that was originally fast track. They also offered to sell a second hand camera they had as an alternative. As I live in a country where availability of premium goods is difficult I opted for the second hand option as I had no other viable option. Suddenly that vanished and they said that camera wasnt available. It turns out they had offered it to me and then rented it out to someone else at the same time. This incredibly poor communication took a week to accomplish. They made commitments to send me history and pictures which they didnt. The communication was handled by a bunch of different people, who none of them evidently felt any form of ownership for resolution, just bumbling along occasionally dropping another message. Half done email and half done on their website message which keeps closing chats out prematurely.I will now cancel the plans that were centered around this. I did manage to get my money back, after I got another person on the phone at 3:30AM in the morning. This was a horrible experience from start to finish. At least I got the money back, it felt really like a totally rogue trader, but I have had to cancel plans. The disorganization of these people is pretty unbelievable, they cant be relied upon. If you need something reliable I would suggest to avoid these people.

2024-03-14 13:48:52Id like to write a letter of recommendation here for Mark Strickland, a truly top-flight guy who has given me an enormous amount of help and advice buying scuba photo equipment over the last 7-8 years. Mark has collectively spent several hours via email or phone with me helping me choose the right equipment for the five 10-12 day dive trips Ive taken over this period.Buying camera equipment for remote dive trips on the other side of the world is tricky--you cant just add or change on-site at destination! Its got to be fully right, fully compatible and complete before you leave, with plenty of spare redundancies, or you can get shut out of all trip pictures. Too important and too risky to build systems without true professional guidance. And thats what Mark does in spades. In an area where there are many product types (strobes, cameras, etc. are all distinct) with many dozens of choices for each component. Not only is Mark exceptionally skilled at what he does, but he enjoys his work (diving after all is fun!). His enthusiasm shows, he is a very personal friendly guy who loves to help. Though Im sure my slowness to always follow along quickly was tedious for him at times. He knows that repeat business must be earned--and that repeat business is the best business.Except for small commodities here and there, I have bought virtually my entire system from Mark. Which I upgrade each trip with some component or other, or add more redundancy, or as is seemingly always the case, replace a failed component. Though Im not a professional photographer, Ill put my pictures up against the other 80% anytime--with equipment that was affordable and mostly all bought from Mark. Mark Strickland gets my highest recommendation! JIM MCGRATH, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
