I worked with Jim on a video he produced for my school. It was stunning! And Jim himself is so helpful, flexible, kind, and professional. I reached out to Jim at Blue Ocean Productions as to an immediate project at the time. My concert with my band needed to be filmed with good sound a few short days after establishing communication. Jim was very personable on the phone and we executed an agreement. He showed up and handled the filming independently and professionally with a smile and terrific personality. Thereafter he worked diligently on his own, on an ongoing basis to both edit the many song performances into individual videos. he also had to spend a considerable amount of time mixing audio of the concert.Jims work ethic and quality service is top notch. For our organizations biggest event of the year, the 2023 EECCOA Challenge, we had Jim as our photographer and we couldnt be more happy! Turn around time was fast so we can post the pictures on our own social media pages, which was greatly appreciated. We recently had a training on how to use Instagram more effectively for marketing, and even as a young adult, I learned SOOO much! Jim is very easy to work with, answers all your questions, and is helpful in whatever you hire him for.

Jim is phenomenally talented. We have worked with him on many occasions and wholeheartedly recommend him. He did an incredible job taking all of our family photos and creating a video for our wedding, which everyone loved! I worked with Jim on an underwater maternity photoshoot a month ago in Catalina, and I was amazed at how professional he is above and under the water. I knew he would produce great work based off of his portfolio that he has displayed, and I was anxious at first at how we would do working together in the water since photoshoots can be difficult. Not only did Jim come prepared with a vision, he incorporated what I had envisioned as well. Having been a diver for a long time, Jims experience in the water as a camera man is clearly apparent since he knows his camera and dive gear well enough to get quickly in the water and get things done! I think what impressed me the most was the quick turn around time for the photos he took, and how quick he responds to e-mails. I knew these photos would be a once in a lifetime opportunity and they had to be done with someone that could produce high quality photos, yet also have the proper experience in the water. Even though underwater maternity shoots arent as common, I would highly recommend anyone to work with Jim because he is highly creative, experienced, and professional.

Recently, I contacted Jim at Blue Ocean Productions to see if he could shoot a quick video with Jean-Michel Cousteau for a a climate event that I was hosting in Los Angeles. It was very last minute, like two days last minute. He was able to pull it together, and shot a great video. The sound was perfect, lighting was great and the image was sharp. Blue Ocean would be my first choice for any future video work that I might need.
