We hired the Blue Lotus Insights Team to help plan our 3 event, Indian wedding (which happened April 2023). I had seen their work at 3 other events (2 weddings, 1 engagement party), and knew we had to have them help us.We had spoken to a few other event planners, but ultimately chose Neha and team because of their attention to detail, organizational skills, and Nehas ability to calm aunties and uncles down. My husband and I have families with very different opinions (from each other, and from ours), and Neha was able to communicate with them in such a way that eventually, they agreed with what my husband and I wanted to do. The BLI teams services are definitely worth the price.This was a bit of a destination wedding for us (we live in Northern California, and got married in San Diego), but we didnt feel as nervous knowing that Neha and the team were there to help us. And they were PREPARED. When it came to talking to the designer, Neha and JL had the dimensions of the room ready, ceiling height, etc. Things that I would have had no idea on. They were so helpful with the baraat as well - the Groom didnt know what he wanted to do for the longest time, and they sent over recommendations of different vendors and methods that he could use.The team is excellent at communicating. We had a group text with multiple BLI team members in, and someone was always responding. They are quick to reply to emails, and will call you with vendor updates / event updates / follow ups to questions you may have.To this day, I have no idea if anything went wrong at my wedding, the BLI handled everything so professionally and efficiently. Neha had told us on one of the calls that her goal was to make sure that we didnt feel any pressure even if things did go wrong, and she truly lived up to that.We had a lot of moving parts during our wedding events. On the day of the Sangeet, my husband and I wanted to go to the beach to do a photoshoot - Neha made sure that our cars were ready to go with video/photo, and made sure everyone was sticking to the timeline (the BLI timeline is UNMATCHED. It is so organized and detailed, and I think one of the best in the business). The week of our wedding, the Grooms mom decided they needed to have one more pooja in the morning before the Groom started the baraat (he was starting on a boat, cruising around for an hour, and then coming back for the walking portion). There was literally only 15 minutes in the timeline for that to happen, but Neha and the team kept everyone on schedule and made sure that the Baraat didnt get delayed (both during the boat portion, and the walking portion).The Grooms side of the family had strict Jains in attendance, which meant we had to have 2 kitchens, 2 separate food stations, etc. Neha and the team made sure that at each event, that there was no issues with the food, and that everyone was able to eat.Speaking of eating, THEY MADE SURE THE BRIDE AND GROOM ATE! This was huge for me, since I had heard stories of brides not being able to eat food at their own weddings. But Neha and JL hunted us down at each of the events, made us sit, and got us a plate of food so we werent hungry. They also made sure we had drinks in our hands when we needed it, and gave us water constantly so we werent dehydrated.I wanted to give a shoutout to Rose too, who was the Bridal attendant on the day of the wedding. She had coffee and a breakfast sandwich ready for me first thing in the morning, had an emergency kit with makeup touch ups and Aspercreme spray for my heels - she was prepared. Not to mention, she held my phone for me all day and took some behind the scenes pictures.It feels so weird now not having Neha and JL on the phone with us every week - the BLI team truly becomes your best friends/family. We are SO thankful for everything you did for us, it was the wedding of my dreams. I cannot recommend BLI enough to any future Bride! Seriously, just hire them. You wont regret it.

The Blue Lotus Insights Team is absolutely wonderful to work with! The planning and execution of our wedding events was phenomenal. Due to COVID-19 our planning with Blue Lotus was extended and they were extremely helpful along the way by helping us work around a postponed wedding date, vendor closures, and last minute emergencies. Our wedding was a multi-day multicultural wedding and they helped ensure every event was planned just how we wanted it. They are very well-connected in the wedding industry, so Neha and her team had plenty of recommendations and suggestions along the way, but they always made sure not to dissuade us from our vision for each event. While there were many vendors we wanted to work with that Blue Lotus Insights was familiar with, there were also quite a few we specifically wanted that were new to them, but the team was very open to each one and took care of everything. Neha and Courtney kept us on track throughout the entire planning process and Courtney made sure that everything was completing leading up to our wedding events. Courtney individually checked in with each vendor throughout the process and ensured that everything would run smoothly. The week of our wedding we had several issues arise. First, our Priest got COVID-19. Neha was quick to call many priests and let us know who our options were. Second, we had two different vendors surprise us with price increases or additional items. Neha and Courtney spent countless hours on the phone with each vendor working out details and securing the original contracted prices without impacting our events. The BLI team organized monthly and weekly meetings and were always available if we had a question for them or if a new idea popped into our minds. We have received many, many compliments on the execution of our events from many guests and we truly owe that to the BLI team! On the day of the events we (the bride and groom) and our families were very relaxed as we knew that the BLI team had everything under control. The timelines are incredible and they truly know how to make the events run smoothly. Neha and her team helped make our wedding weekend feel magical and we are forever grateful for their dedication to our wedding events. Courtney, you are so incredible and truly a pleasure to have on our team. We miss our weekly calls and are so grateful that you do what you do! Neha, you have built an incredible wedding planning business and you know exactly what you are doing and how to do it. With this team, your wedding will be the wedding of your dreams! Hiring Blue Lotus Insights to plan + design your event is the best decision you will make! Neha and her team came all the way out to Porterville, CA and transformed my parents home for my engagement ceremony + party.Neha drove several hours for multiple site visits/walkthroughs and had so many ideas on how to utilize the space. She coordinated all of the vendors seamlessly despite working with most of them for the first time as they were local to the Central Valley. She and her team even helped us find a valet parking vendor after the one we had booked cancelled just days before the event! She handled all of the rentals (chairs, tables, bars, lounge furniture, vendor tents, tableclothes, plateware, glassware), built a beautiful wooden ceremony stage, and helped with the overall styling of all the decor. This is all on top of the planning and day of coordination!The BLI team really does it all and there is no way we could have pulled this party off without them. Im beyond excited to be working with them on my upcoming wedding as well. Thank you BLI!

I dont know if I can capture into words just how incredible Neha and the team from BLI are. We spent a year and a half together planning my wedding. Neha is absolutely the best wedding planner in the business! She and the team fully planned, designed, and executed our mehndi party, garba, ceremony, and reception. Every part of my wedding week that was touched by her was absolute perfection.Neha and the BLI team are so detail oriented. From day one we were on shared documents with spreadsheets, timelines, and goals to hit each month. With a busy work schedule, I needed some (aka a lot) of hand holding and Neha and her team were there every step of the way. She truly felt like my best friend through this process and I honestly miss my calls with her. She was never there to push her ideas and always honored by vision. She gave options for vendors, but also was open to anyone I was interested in working with. All of this resulted in 4 incredibly executed events that really showcased my vision with her expertise. She has incredible taste and really knows how to create beautiful events. Her rental company was such a lifesaver and even helped with events she wasnt planning. She took care of literally everything and handled tons of phone calls with the decorator, lighting, DJ. I had always dreamed of having my elderly, wheelchair bound uncle walk me down the aisle and this required some problem solving with my raised aisle. They went to four different stores to find a ramp that would work and ended up having the hotel lift him onto the aisle. At no point did she give up and say it wasnt possible--of all the events this was probably my most treasured moment.I could keep going and going, but honestly, you will not regret working with the BLI team. Ive had countless friends tell me they didnt have the best experience with their planners, but that will not be the case with Neha. The best investment and decision I ever made was hiring Neha from the start. She was amazing at navigating things with my parents and really eased a lot of tensions and concerns. I wish I could have another big event just so I could work with Neha and her team again.

After having to postpone our wedding due to Covid and ultimately deciding on a smaller wedding than we had originally planned, we feel so lucky to have found and gotten to work with the Blue Lotus team because they created and delivered the wedding of our dreams on very short notice and made us feel like we got the full wedding experience.Throughout the process they handled the changing Covid restrictions and the effect it had on our guest count, venue room, and reception logistics with grace and efficiency. Neha and her team kept us on track through the planning process and their creative input helped bring our vision to life. Planning a wedding during Covid and on short notice presented many potential hickups but Neha never made us feel like we were behind the ball or that there were any last minute hurdles that we couldnt plan around or overcome. The day of team was prompt, efficient, and thought of every detail to keep us comfortable, excited, and on track.The whole team was a pleasure to work with, made us feel special and understood, and made our wedding go off with out a hitch. Our wedding day felt magical and we credit Blue Lotus with making it so special. My wife and I only have amazing things to say about BLI and their whole team after they helped us plan our wedding in Santa Barbara in 9/2023. Jasmine was our lead planner, and she was on it! Neha played a role in the background the whole time and a more hands-on role as the event approached, which was greatly appreciated. We shopped around for SoCal-based event planners, and we went with BLI based on their reputation, experience, and connections in the industry - and we do not regret it one bit! They were the first vendor that we hired (even before the venue), so they guided us along every step of the way. Some of the aspects of their services that were most appreciative of:- Our sangeet venue was a private estate build-your-own venue. We truly could not have thrown this event without their support and event-planning knowledge. The detailed floor-plan/layout that Jasmine created (she measured the whole property herself), the insights on every little thing for us to bring, and the coordination of all of the vendors who came - all seemed insurmountable for us, but Jasmine made it seamless.- Pre-event style: The month before the wedding is hectic - it feels like there are a million details flying around. Jasmine did SO much work behind the scenes, and looped us in only when critical. We appreciated this so much, as it allowed us to stay up to date on what was happening with the events, but also tend to other matters including family in town, etc- Day-of coordination: Both of us went into the weekend expecting it to feel hectic and scattered. But amazingly, we felt present and calm throughout all the events, and were able to soak up time with friends and family. This is such a gift, and only possible because of Jasmine and her team!-Friendliness: So many aspects of wedding planning can be daunting, but the BLI team approached everything in a lighthearted, positive way that made us trust them even more. We truly enjoyed our frequent planning calls!!Overall, we would not have had the amazing and unforgettable weekend we did if we hadnt hired them, so we highly recommend BLI!

Ill start this off by saying that I thoroughly interviewed 8 - 10 different wedding planners because I knew it would be someone I would be spending a lot of time with. I was looking for someone who is knowledgable, replies quickly to emails, stays calm under pressure, and can also balance the needs of both me and my parents especially when it comes to figuring out how to spend money on modern vs traditional elements as so many Indian weddings are rooted in rituals and traditions. Additionally, I had a fusion wedding so I was also looking for an experienced team who could thoughtfully blend two cultures together. (I also come from a background in the wedding industry so I admit I was probably putting more thought into my wedding day vendor team than most). I will say when I was meeting with other vendors, many of them said they especially enjoy working with BLI because Nehas timelines are so detailed and shes always willing to listen and make things work the best she can on both the vendor and client side.I hired BLI for full service planning and coordination (minus venue search) so we had the pleasure of working together very closely for a long time. When I think about my planning experience, what stands out to me is the teams availability, positive attitude (I admit Im glued to my inbox and phone and it feels like they are too - theyre always ready to text back, reply via email, or jump on a quick unscheduled phone call when needed!), and of course their expertise. We got married at an estate where literally everything needed to be brought in so there were SO many moving pieces, and we also built a giant truss structure over our reception space which was a big production. Neha & team spent weeks going over diagrams, measurements, chandelier weights, fabrics, etc - she even personally oversaw all the construction happening the day before.We maybe felt the strain a little bit in the middle of our planning as there were some team changes going on that caused delays in emails or confusion in trying to keep certain details straight but I also understand the crazy increase in number of weddings this year that can naturally cause a few road bumps maybe causing the team to feel stretched, but in the grand scheme of things it doesnt factor into how we felt about our experience with BLI because were really overflowing with so many positive things to share.Fast forward to wedding day, there were a few things that didnt go as planned (as expected though like every wedding!) but the team was so calm and handled everything professionally. We had a medical emergency right before the ceremony where an ambulance needed to be called and neither my mom or I even knew about it until after everything had been handled. Their team approached us so calmly and we appreciated that so much - Thank you!The week of our wedding was an absolute dream, and BLI was the glue that held everything together. Its really hard to put on a wedding and I know it may feel overwhelming with the amount of emails flying back and forth, but know behind the scenes Neha & team is also doing extra work with vendors making sure we have the best day and ensuring it all goes as seamless as possible. The amount of time and effort is something Ill never take for granted and they are truly on your team.They deserve all 5 of these stars - if youre still thinking about it just hire them. Neha is so wonderful to work with and the team she has hired is also so sweet and understanding. Neha Shah is the best wedding planner in the business. Period. I found her online without any referrals because I noticed so many of the most beautiful Southern California Indian weddings I saw on blogs had Blue Lotus Insights as their wedding planning team. I reached out to Neha, she got back to me ASAP and we could tell from the start that she was extremely experienced, savvy, kind, and flexible.My husband and I started planning our wedding about 15 months in advance during the evolving Covid pandemic. We are based in San Francisco and planned our wedding in Southern California so we heavily relied on Neha’s expertise as we weren’t familiar with the SoCal area or vendors.Some of the many reasons we loved working with Neha and her team include- Neha never pushed us to go past our budget. When we told her what we were envisioning and what our budget per vendor was, she always gave recommendations and advice based on our comfort level.- 6 hours before our first event, our covid testing service fell through and Neha immediately came up with multiple plans to solve the situation including going to Costco last minute to buy 400 covid tests herself!! She knew it was our big weekend and didn’t want us to stress about it at all and she handled it perfectly.- Any last minute changes to performances or schedule or logistics, Neha would handle immediately or come up with a great solution before alerting us.- Neha and her team would check on us every 30 minutes at every event to make sure we had enough food and drinks! People often say they don’t get to eat at all during weddings but we got to enjoy all the food and drinks at every event without ever getting near the bar or buffet since the team was at our service!- Every single one of our vendors (DJ, photographer, videographer, hair and makeup artist, henna artist, etc) were so stoked that Neha was our planner and even informed us that she was one of their favorite planners to work with because of how organized, sweet, and flexible she is!After our wedding, several of our family members and friends told us how impressed they were with the diligence, competence, professionalism, and kindness of the entire BLI team. They told us that every event went seamlessly and felt like clockwork because of how well the BLI team handled things behind the scenes. My husband and I were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment of all our wedding events because of Neha and her incredible team.We like to joke that the best decision we made after choosing to get married to each other was hiring Neha as our planner but it’s true! Neha helped turn all our wedding dreams into reality and we are forever grateful to her and the BLI team.

From start to finish the whole Blue Lotus Team was amazing to work with. They understood our needs and vision and ensured our wedding day went without a hitch.Not only were they efficient and organized. They brought that personal touch to make us feel truly special throughout our wedding week. My family and I looked forward to our weekly planning calls.Our wedding week went perfectly and we were truly able to enjoy all our events and mingle with guests while BLI handled everything behind the scenes. Our wedding was so magical and it was a dream come true, we truly are at a loss for words and cannot say enough good things.
