We came after reading reviews and the reviews did NOT lie! Our bill was a bit pricey but it was definitely worth our spend. We left FULL. The place is small and the only thing that was a bummer was they advertise “happy hour” but it was not the “happy hour” you would normally get anywhere else drink option wise. They only have bottled drinks but they a pretty decent small selection. And my snapper was not the full fish like I’m used to, but it was still delicious. Other than that it was great :)

My first time trying out Black Pearl Seafood & Grill and I have to say I am left SPEECHLESS. Everything from the customer service to the dishes were immaculate! I had their fish tacos that comes with a side of coleslaw & garlic parmesan fries. The food tasted like a little piece of Mexico 🇲🇽❤️. I definitely recommend and will be coming back. My husband and I went here for the first time and being Japanese and Mexican food lovers we were excited to try it out. They went past our expectations and we absolutely loved it. Attentive service, such delicious fusion food and we also got a fried zucchini taste test served on the house! It was so nice and unexpected! Definitely recommend to anyone. We will be back!

Came here last week to do a late fathers day celebration with the family. It is a very small place with a quaint atmosphere. The service was unbelievably fast. We got our food for 5 with a very short wait time and the food was amazing. I will definitely be ordering from here in the future.

Great new find yesterday in Moreno Valley called The Black Pearl. This place had outstanding seafood.For my first visit, I tried the red snapper, fish n chips, and surf n turf. The fish was incredible! My red snapper was grilled beautifully while moist and glistening inside with great flavor. The fish n chips were fried to perfection with a perfect batter to fish ratio. They were served with crispy, savory garlic parmesan fries. The grilled shrimp with the surf n turf were good size and sautéed in a delicious butter and garlic sauce that smothered the steak.I cant wait to go back and try the fish tacos, seafood tower, aguachiles, and burritos!2nd Visit:Black Pearl is here to stay! My 2nd visit was even better than the first.I came in today because I saw a picture on Yelp of an amazing looking burger. I was heartbroken to find it that the burger I saw was a special from several months before. I showed the picture to my server and let out a sigh. To my surprise, she went to the kitchen and asked the chef if he had the ingredients to make it for me. She came back with a big smile and said he could do it. I was so happy! The burger was phenomenal and needs to be on their everyday menu.I also had the shrimp burrito. It was loaded with shrimp in EVERY bite and was served with the most delicious aioli that brought it to the next level. I was so glad I decided to stop in today.Thank you for the excellent food and superior service. I cant wait for the visit!

Great homemade Michelada during happy hour. The chipotle cream sauce made this the best burrito I’ve ever had (I ordered the Burrito Chipotle). Yummy poke nachos with a generous portion. Service was informative, kind, and very personable. I would 100% recommend and 100% go back!

Dont let the small space fool you! My husband is a truck driver and we stop by every time we go through here. The entire staff is super friendly and the food is full of flavor! Ive tried the fajitas and the salmon but, the snapper is my favorite! My husband wont even try anything else but, the snapper. Today we tried a cornbread cake topped with ice cream. Best dessert Ive had recently. I really cant wait until we come back. We have traveled to many states and this is the one place I cant wait to eat at again!

I chose this place because I was staying down the street for my job based on the high rating. After being greeted by the very friendly staff I understood why. Their food was very good and the staff was very attentive. The chef in the kitchen saw me going for some hot sauce and personally came back from behind the kitchen and came to my table and asked me if I like spicy hot sauce. He personally went to the back and prepared me some on the house and brought me out more tortillas. He then asked me if Id like some chips with it and went back another time to the kitchen to bring me chips. He didnt have to do any of this, yet went out of his way to welcome me. While eating another lady came in and planned to have her daughters birthday here because she loves it so much. Absolutely recommend!

Easily one of the top restaurants in the area. I was completely taken aback by the overall quality of the meal I had.The items I had:Zucchini Frites - Good mix of flavors and breaded perfectly.Grilled Red Snapper - Prepared and cooked like I was at restaurant that would cost 2x more. I had it with the ginger rice and garlic parm. fries. Good mix of spices on the fish and I definitely recommend ordering the fries if you get the chance.Overall great experience, I will definitely be back.

Tried this place as its a newer business, we walked in and were sat right away. There is minimal seating as it is a small location. Food was cooked to order and fresh, therefore there was a slight wait for the food but it was for a good reason. I put three stars for the atmosphere only because 1) the location is small and 2) the seats are not plus size friendly which made it a very uncomfortable dine in experience. Food was tasty, however overall meal was overpriced. My husband got the fish and shrimp plate which came with a salad and rice for $28.00 and I got the Burrito Chipotle Mojado which was $18.00 (just for the burrito). However, understandably the food was delicious and made fresh to order.

First time here, they opened about a week ago as of this post. We had the Poké nachos, Zucchini Fritte, and the jumbo shrimp and fries. The nachos had good flavor, spicy, and the Tuna was tender and delicious. The Zucchini is really crispy well seasoned and paired with a lemon ayoli that that puts a twist to the dish. Next we had the Jumbo shrimp and fries. The sauce is mouthwatering along with the shrimp. They are devained, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also had some drinks, one was mango and the other tasted like watermelon. Both were refreshing and not too sweet but my favorite was the watermelon. They also have vegan options available. Highly recommend this place, I will b back.

We found this place on Google and gave it a try. We had the Red Snapper and steak fajita. The Snapper was delightful, fresh and properly cooked. Excellent Job by the chef. The Fajita was cooked properly but product was less than desirable. The steak was full of grizzle. Probably 25% was not good. It would have been perfect if the steak had been properly trimmed.This is a small place with no atmosphere. I will try it again because the fish was perfect. It is good for a quick late meal. I do recommend the fish but the fajita needs a little work.

Our 1st time here. We were excited to try it out based on the reviews. I got the carnitas tacos. The presentation was nice but when I took my first bite, I bit into fat!! The tacos were 50% meat, 50% FAT. It was awful!! Yuck! Unfortunately, I wont be back. Ill spend my $16.95 elsewhere.

This is a local restaurant you should definitely experience. We had the catfish and grilled red snapper. The food was served on a wood platter and was very well presented.We shared and both dishes were excellent.The service was outstanding and they were completely flexible in changing sides to something we each liked - swapping cole slaw for Spanish rice, etc. My wife loved the rice! Atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing and we completely enjoyed our meal.

My wife received an email about the Black Pearl & I read about it on Facebook, Moreno Valley Matters.We decided to give it a go. We ordered a number of dishes, all of which were delicious. My dishes were the Asian Shrimp &Calamari. WOW, were they great. Our group consisted of 4 people & everyone was pleased with their meals & the appetizers. Now for the service at Black Pearl. Liza assisted us with our choices. She is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu items. She is very kind, charming, and has a great sense of humor. 7 tiny tables inside, looks like a fast food/quick service place, but they do wait tables. A big TV was playing basketball and they have a walk up counter.Service is fast and friendly too. Overall a very strange ambiance.Tried 3 different things: salmon melt (was amazing) with fries (also pretty good), fish tacos (not so great, the tortilla was cold and hard and the fish was fried and tasted like fish n chips (nothing wrong with that, just not what I was expecting nor what I like), and a sushi roll. This is not a sushi place and it shows. The sushi flavors didnt go well with one another and was easily the most unsatisfying thing we ordered.But its worth going back to again for the salmon melt.

Ok in all fairness I didnt eat here I walked inn with my wife and the older dude at counter just kept staring at my wife not like a checking you out but creepy look really creepy he noticed me looking at him and he stop for 5 seconds until we sat and he was giving just a very creepy look made my wife very uncomfortable to point where she said he keeps looking so we walked out. Never tried food just very uncomfortable atmosphere and that creepy guy it was very awkward

Excellent! Me and my wife wanted to try this new place out. We got the shrimp chiviche, calamari Fritti, whole fried fish, chiliqulies, churros.Shrimp Chivche: was very flavorful and light.Calamari: was the best calamari I have eaten. The batter was light and flaky. The Calamariwas so tender it melt in your mouth.Whole fish: very juicy and the flavors where so outstanding that you had flavors through out the entire fish. This was the best fish I have had.Chiliquiles: super flavorful, had just a good amount of spice to it! One of the best that I have had.Churros: light fluffy and the flavors where outstanding!10/10 would definitely be coming back and recommend for you to try

Update: Black Pearl has now been open for 4 weeks. Went back to try the food it was great. Lisa gave me sample of the rice with Ginger in it it was good had the rice with my fish and chips.Black Pearl is not open yet, looked in the window and still in development or construction. Looks nice inside thus far, so giving a 3 at this time until they open and we come back to try their seafood…

This was the first time my wife and I have gone to this restaurant. We both got the garlic seafood alfredo. The flavor was incredible, and they do not hold back on how much seafood they throw into it, especially the mussels. The amount of shrimp and calamari was quite generous as well. The atmosphere was pleasant with some music in the background, and the temperature of the room was alright. There is not a lot of seating available, but the workers are very hospitable and make the experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back in the future.
