2024-04-09 12:03:11Huge fan of Bird Rock 🐦🪨 and this location has the best views. The staff is always friendly and good at what they do. You can also order ahead if youd like to. Ive never had to wait long for a drink. Highly recommend if youre an early bird and in the area. Parking on weekends and during busy beach season can be tricky. Grab a latte and head up to the Torrey Pines nature preserve nearby!

2024-03-30 16:34:07I absolutely love this café! It boasts a lovely atmosphere and serves great coffee, making it the best place to enjoy a cup especially on a rainy day. Theres something about the cozy ambiance that pairs perfectly with the sound of rain outside. Highly recommend for any coffee lover looking for a warm and welcoming spot to relax and unwind.

2024-01-02 17:51:22Beautiful place to visit. It’s an ocean facing coffee place and has a variety of drinks including their own house made beans and special coffee drinks. I visited the place while visiting Torrey Pines. The place has both indoor and outdoor sitting. We ordered a cappuccino and vanilla bean latte. Both amazing. I am definitely going there again to try their other drinks. The street parking is mostly available around the cafe.

2024-01-24 03:32:44Overall this coffee shop has a lot of potential for what it is and where it is. Its a very nice and open coffee shop catered to a younger audience. Fresh made coffee with top quality espresso machines. Baristas all seem to be well trained in latte art. The outside patio has a wonderful view. The only problem I experienced was with receiving my food order. I had ordered two egg muffins and one avocado toast. The customers behind us ordered one egg muffin and an avocado toast. Our order came out (2 muffins and 1 toast), but it came out under the name of the customers after us. The employee told the customers behind us to take the one muffin and toast, and told us we could have the other muffin while we waited for another muffin and toast to come out. This was poor customer service. Not only were their tickets out of order, but it was clearly our food. We ended up waiting about 25 minutes for our food when the customers behind us waited only about 5-7 minutes. Accidents happen, but this was easily avoidable.

Be sure to indulge in their signature Honey Bee Latte and classic Flat White. If you time your visit during the golden hour, prepare to be captivated by the views – making it one of San Diegos top coffee destinations.

2024-05-12 17:56:09This location cannot deal with crowds. On Mother’s Day—which is busy—they had just one person who seemed to have little experience working the register. It took at least 15 minutes just to order with only 4 people in line ahead of me. The line behind me had roughly 20 people by the time I had ordered. Waited another 12 for my drink, and I was served before two people who were ahead of me. One star for good coffee and one for ambiance, but I would avoid this place on busy days.

2024-04-29 23:50:49Tried an oat milk mocha and the vanilla drink with regular milk. I’ve been to other bird rock locations before and this was unfortunately disappointing. The coffee was very watery and light :(

2023-10-03 03:24:31Had vanilla bean latte after morning hike at delmar beach. It was perfect for post hike drink. Liked the way it was served. A cute and small place but has lot of seating on the deck.

2023-09-16 18:58:16I really dig this coffee joint for a Saturday morning breakfast, and it’s super close to Torrey Pines State Reserve. I went for their Breakfast Sandwich, which is packed with a croissant, egg, bacon, cheddar, arugula, and house aioli. Of course, I had to add some avocado to the mix. Despite the line, the wait was totally worth it. And hey, the coffee was pretty good too!
