I came in today because of broken equipment on my work truck. Ronnie was so helpful, she helped me find all the tools I needed as well as the parts and small accessories as well. It might have taken me four trips but she helped me every time without getting annoyed. I very much appreciate that kind of help. I also come here regularly for all my barbecue supplies. Great selection, great store, and great employees.

I have been buying there for years. In the past year two of the older clerks who were very knowledgeable retired. The store is local and close to home and good to me. If one person cannot help you, ask for someone else. Just because Home Depot says it has the lowest prices doesnt mean they do. Aces lumber is higher quality than Home Depot also. Love Ace. 2021 Still love Ace, local workers and a locally owned...still great!

I know Ive reviewed this store before, however it deserves another 5 Star review. As noted from so many others, they always have just what a person is in need of.Id like to address the comment from Mary Oak. I have no vested interest in the store or any employees, but I was surprised you had a bad experience there & I am truly sorry for that, as their employees have always been top notch. I see that your visit was 9 months ago, & I believe that puts it smack dab in the middle of lockdowns. There was a lot of pressure & people working were praying the didnt become infected. Anytime, in any retail outlet, if anyone thinks an employee is not treating you right just ask for someone else to assist you. Ive done that while being polite. Just, please dont act like a Karen, screaming & yelling. It is so unbecoming to you. (It makes you look stupid & ignorant.)

Way more pleasant to shop at that them other big box stores and you dont have to worry about getting you truck stolen or car broken into. Less stress all around.I will be shopping there again.

ACE really is the place! We used to shop there more often but then the Virus hit. Today was the first time back since the lockdown & the people are still really helpful & friendly, plus the store is still clean & orderly. And you know, its still a pleasure to shop there.

Amazing customer service! For THAT, I will pay a few cents more than the nightmare on the other side of town! There is always close parking and they have everything you would need for most projects. Unlike other ACE Hardwares, they dont have a lot of miscellaneous 5 and dime type stuff.

I always feel like a bother when I go there The staff will help you but clearly dont want to be bothered. I would never buy more than a pack of nails or can of spray there. Too bad.

I made my first table and could not have dont it without their help. People here were so, so nice especially since I had no idea what to ask for. They helped me sort out measurements and cut everything for me, and it all came out beautifully!

Had a project I was sent to get hardware and a tool for but unsure of where to look or depths needed and they came out took me to area, explained to me and helped me with tool selling me best for job not the most expensive one. I like them because they are knowledgeable and friendly - customer service puts them over the top. Several of their staff members are young women, which I appreciate - it makes it easier for me to ask the right questions. I go there first for all my hardware and generic lumber needs.

Is a great place. Well stocked, clean, friendly, knowledgeable staff, free popcorn and quality product. Unlike big box lumber, they treat each customer with respect and smiles. We lose that when we dont go to indepent small businesses.

Bad Mojo at this place. Ive never seen an owner so disrespectful to people with disabilities. He should get sued!While the place is close, relatively speaking, I would rather drive the extra mile to be greated by a friendly face and an accommodating merchant.

It is only after you confronted me (and I did hear you say Hes stealing from me, ) as you walked over.. it was only then that i let you know I have poor eyesight.. Is that what i should report to the appropriate agencies.. and, my attorney?Joe. It is clear now that you dont like me. And, i tried. Buying parts from you that i could have gotten a lot cheaper at Lowes.I really dont want anymore problems with you. So from here on out, I will only use your store in a pinch, and I WILL NOT interact with you in anyway. Its kinda your own fault. I didnt do anything to you except pick up and pay for my parts. I realize youre in a tough neighborhood; but, please dont take that out on me.ORIGINAL POST: Having spent over $400 on stainless steel and grade 8 bolts for my car, coupled with approx $100 in fasteners etc, youd think Id get better treatment here. But, I dont.My first experience here I overheard the owner Joe accuse me of sterling. Meanwhile, Im blind as a bat with anything closer than 2ft. So, Joe comes over under the guise of helping me to check me out.I felt badly that he would think of me in this way, so I made it a point if buying two Kregs jigs from him ~ $200 in an effort to show him I am not a bad guy and that his store is in essence becoming a preferred vendor for me and my company. It would seem Joes not having it.Today I came in to get some specialty lumber dropping almost another 200-bucks.. So thats well over a grand Ive spent in this place. Joe was outright nasty. Hey, its your store do what thou whilst. But, from now on Im going to the Ace Hardware in Napa for some good ole country folk customer service. I will use this place in a pinch, but I dont deserve to be treated like this. Another Vallejo- ho success tale. Sorry..

Using my kids account because i dont usually do this but i just spent over a hour at lows and home depot each. So almost 3 hour trying to find common hardware parts to fix my ac in this heat. They are right by my house so i thought they would be convenient. I also checked harbor freight because they sometimes carry the yellow jacket brand of hardware i needed but no luck. However at OConnor Ace i was led from the door right to the parts i needed and i was back to work fast!

People are right about the cleanliness and the bright aisles, but I have lived in Vallejo for 6 years, and not once have I been greeted when I walked in their door. I just went there today, there were 3 people behind the counter and not one of them could be bothered to say hello, let alone ask if I needed help! I prefer the Ace in Benicia!!

We had a garage door remote rail on us and they lent us a screwdriver to open it, found the battery, gave us a tissue to take out the corroded battery, disposed of the old battery and did everything short of replacing the battery themselves. Fast in and out, super helpful!

Ive been going to OConnors Lumber for 20 years. They one the best hardware stores in the Bay Area. The folks who work there have done so for years & years. This is a big plus as employees who have worked in a place bring with them important and needed experience to the customer knowledge of the products on hand and great advice. They are the go to hardware store for me.

Anytime I have a DIY job, I head to Ace Hardware. They have everything I need and I dont have to walk a mile and a half to find it. I cant tell you the number of times I went in there not knowing exactly what I needed. I described my project to the staff. One time I even brought in a half-finished backyard art project I was doing and got tips for how to complete it and the options I had. Id be lost without them.

I am hanging misc size portraits on my walls. I have metal studs. I needed an anchor kit and a few toggle bolts because I have one portrait that is extremely heavy. I didnt know what size drill bit I needed for either. Didnt catch his name, he was an older, taller fellow. He assisted me with a smile showed me how to find the right drill bit, then rang me up. Easy peasy with a smile. 4stars OConnor Lumber & Ace Hardware!!!!!!

Worst ACE hardware anywhere. I am the type of person that needs to shop hardware at least once a day. Been living in this area, and going to this Ace because it is closer than Lowe’s or Home Depot. I regularly use Ace in San Mateo, San Carlos, Menlo Park, Napa and now Pittsburg. At every other store I am greeted, and asked if I need any help locating anything. In 12 years, I have never been greeted, acknowledged or asked if I needed help, I can’t even find someone willing to help if asked. The nut and bolt prices are outrageous at this location.

Sure, the prices are a little higher than Home Depot, which has undercut everyone else and either bought or driven them out of business. I find the Ace staff very helpful, if sometimes a little hard to find. When I asked for a Siemens circuit breaker at HD, the only local alternative to ACE, the guy in the electronics dept. had never even heard of the brand. Ace didnt have it either but they knew what it was and told me I could find it at OSH (30 min away). I prefer to shop at ACE first and only go to Home Depot if Ace doesnt have it or if it is a larger item and the price is significantly higher. I havent forgiven HD for killing Yardbirds, which was my favorite and most convenient to my house..

Ace Hardware has a large and comprehensive selection of fasteners. Nuts & bolts of various sizes and designs. I needed a mounting bolt of an unusual size and found it there.
