The staff was absolutely amazing! My truck was towed in to their shop because AAA could not get the tire off to put the spare on, and within minutes they have the tire off and repaired. Everyone is so wonderful and helpful and they didn’t even charge me. They have definitely earned my business for life!

I got a flat on a Saturday night. Big brand tire was the only place open on Sunday. They got me in and fixed my flat Had me on the road in 15 minutes. No charge. Even rotated some of my tires. I would highly recommend.

Great service. All staff very friendly and helpful. I work close by so they gave me a ride to work while car was being serviced. I was offered a pick up to get my car after work was completed. Josh and Chris listened to my issues and gave me detailed information on my vehicle. Yes I would recommend.

Horrible service! I stood there for about 10-15 mins while the counter guys helped a single person, and answered phone calls. Because I guess they’re much more important than an actual walk in customer. I finally got a bit frustrated and walked out of that joke of a tire shop. I went to auburn tire service and was in and out in about 15 mins, 4 tires installed. Don’t waste your time with big brand.

My truck was near dead. Wheel bearing failed. Borderline not worth fixing it. And some of the parts needed are no longer made. Josh and the Big Brand GV team were super helpful at finding ways for us to cut costs, find the parts I needed, and make sure she would live to fight another day. Not only that, they found two other issues that would have been major problems down the line and fixed those as well. Don’t take your truck anywhere else. This is the joint. Rare to find honest mechanics, but here they are.

Rob and Josh really went above and beyond to help me out. My tires where locked on. No key in sight and with a very rare shape for a key (VW). They got creative and got me some new tires and back on the road. I feel safe driving and will return my business to them from now on. Update:Kenneth from Big Brand Tires gave me a call after I left my review, and offered to make everything right.They replaced the 6yo rear tires they sold me, with brand new ones that match the newer/different model front tires they had ordered the first time. Free of charge (as it should be).Kenneth also put free road hazard insurance on all four tires ($165).All in all, they made me whole, and I finally have 4 new tires on my car instead of a mis-matching set with new 6yo tires on the rear.Bumping to four stars, because while it shouldnt have happened in the first place, corporate stepped in and righted the situation.Thanks Kenneth, for your time.---Called ahead because I had a blowout on a car that doesnt have provisions for a spare.They said they had two in stock, and would order two more.Got towed there to get two on, and come to find out the tires they had were 6 years old, and places wont patch tires after they are 7 years old.Unfortunately, I had already been towed there, so had to take the two old tires. Best they could do was $60 off. I would have called other places first had they been up front.Put me in a bad spot.Also they said they couldnt align my car because it has to be ballast aligned by the dealer.I went to dealer and they said they dont ballast align this model, so a bunch of wasted time.

I had mechanic work done on my 2012 Chevy SonicatBig Brand Tires & Service ln Grass Valley CaliforniaMaster Mechanic Rob who did the work knew what the problem was and fixed it!!After other garage mechanics told me I needed a transmission. There was no problem with the transmission.After repairing the problem he took it for a test drive. Everything is working perfect and the price was very reasonable . Unprofessional staff and management. I went in this morning for a simple job of swapping my wheels and tires for a set of tires that were already mounted on the rims and just needed to be installed on the vehicle. I had placed the appointment last week on Thursday and was qouted one hour for the service originally. I got there early to let them know the tires were in the back and waited. It took over two hours for this job which I find unreasonable. I talked to the manager to let him know that this was unprofessional and that I was not a happy customer and got the simplest answer. He apologized to me and informed me that apparently they do not have enough tools in order to work on more than one car at a time. As a professional shop that is not an excuse to make a customer wait. I will no longer support the business that plaza used to be. The previous owners knew how to run the shop and I used them for over six years as a customer. Big Brand tire is an absolute joke. Unprofessional workers that are rude and a manager that does nothing to fix or solve the problem and can only say sorry. You have lost my business and Im sure other loyal customers as well because of this.

I came there around 9 am to get two front tires. I had a spare on from the night before. The clerk said he had two tires but they could do it untill 1130 I didn’t want to drive on spare so I went to car wash and came back. Told him I was there incase they could squeeze me in. He said he would try. At 1145 I asked if I was mistaken about the 1130 appointment. New guy said Sorry no one put you on the list. I asked if they could please add me now. He agreed and then went out to get some info from my car. Upon returning he said Sorry we don’t have any tires that size. So I waited for two hours for nothing? I would never bring them my business or refer anyone else. Very irritating not to mention now I’m in auburn getting tired. It’s now 124. Day will be done by the time these tires are mounted.

Excellent Customer Service. I had a tire going flat today. I first called the other big guys in Grass Valley for an appointment . I was told their first available appointment was 2 weeks out. Then I called Big Brand Tire & Service. They made me an appointment same day. They fixed my tire at no charge. Even though my tires were not purchased from them. Ive had stressful problems but positive visits at this location for numerous repairs and with different vehicles. Past couple times its been only having to roll in with a flat tire at a moments notice and they are always willing to help. Sometimes they are booked up but they make it their priority to get to your vehicle as soon as they can. Usually patching a tire is immediate and youre only there for maybe 45 minutes or less and very informative! Great job and thank you guys for handling my tire issue!

I love this shop! Always get my tires here. Also, had a free brake check to find out work from another shop was badly done. They were under warranty at the other shop, otherwise would have had the work done here for sure!The staff are also super friendly... Be sure to check wear of your brake pads on your receipt and have them explain it to you if you get new tires.

I needed a tire repaired on my Jag that had a screw in it that created a slow leak. These guys were quick, did a excellent job, and at no charge! Plus I had a warning light on the tire pressure monitor that has been on for quite a while. They used a device to check the sensor on each wheel, one at a time. All the sensors were working, so that part of the problem is now eliminated. They did the check as a favor, again no charge! They were personable and honest guys. Couldn’t be happier with my experience. Driving in town (GrassValley) when I noticed my tire pressure light came on. Pulled over and checked and I had a deflating tire. On a lunch hour I need to get my wifes tire repair. It was all last minute and knowing she had a big bolt in that tire I was not sure how long it would take. I simply drove up without calling them. Im not sure what to say about this trip to Plaza Tire, usually I go to the one in Penn Valley but they were backed up so they made an appointment for me in Grass Valley. I brought it in because there was a noise of a fan belt and pulley not working correctly. They replace the pulley that was loose but it still leaves the noise of a fan belt. They could replace the other two pulleys and cant guarantee if its going to do away with the noise or it could possibly be the water pump. They were very nice about it, I can bring the car back and they can try to fix it again but I just didnt see the necessary expense to get no guarantee that the noise would go away. Im just going to ride it out and see. I originally brought it in because about 2 weeks earlier the car would not start the battery seem to be dead so I was thinking something to do with the alternator. But then the car started every single time so again Im just going to ride it out and see what happens if it does it again then Ill take it to the shop

They took it back for diagnosis and found instead of all my break lights malfunctioning only one needed to be replaced. The folks at Plaza Tire and Auto Service are just genuinely nice people. The staff is very knowledgeable, and you always feel like theyre being 100% honest with you. Their prices compete with the big corporate tire centers (in fact, they were substantially cheaper to have my new Tacoma wheels installed than Americas Tire Co in Auburn). We should always try to shop local, even if it means spending a few more bucks. But Plaza Tire actually saves you money as you patronize a local family business. Its a win-win!

They are okay, nice enough but we prefer the Nevada City location. I got tires from the Grass Valley location last Spring. With in a week I was missing 2 of my hub caps and they are $50 a peice! Yesterday, my husband got 4 new tires from them and we woke up to one of the back tires completely flat with the air cap missing. Although I know they are closed on Sunday, I tried to call to leave them a message and they do not have an answering machine. The phone just rings, beeps and hangs up. My husband is upset because now instead of going to work tomorrow he has to get up and deal with this problem. I do not usually leave these sorts of reviews but being a business owner I do like to know when my clients are unhappy. Plaza tire has been around this area for a long time now and the owners should know that this location is not living up to the standards of the brand theyve built. We will see how they handle this situation tomorrow. It just may be it for us and this location. UPDATE: My husband was able to get the tire fixed on his own so he could get to work on Monday. Turns out the valve stem was not tightened. Ugg! I called Plaza on Monday morning to inform them of our experince and the gentleman was really nice about it. I will give them an extra star for customer service.

Total crooks. Ignition lock cylinder magically broke while they had the vehicle. Quoted my girlfriends mother 160 to replace a $20 part that takes about 10 minutes to install. Sent her on her way after they pulled the cylinder and started the vehicle with a screwdriver. Really great work guys .

This place charges entirely too much for labor. Had a window regulator replaced that cost over $425. charged me a diagnostic fee plus the cost of replacing the regulator . Avoid this place. There are other places in Grass Valley and Nevada City that do a better job at a better price.

They refuse to do test drives (I dont know how you diagnose things without that, but luckily the manager was there to passive aggressively answer that it wouldnt matter). Would not call to update me on matters I asked to be updated on before going forward. Staff was rude and uninformed.I go to local places like this for customer service and help. Had a problem on Friday after work and before my second job. 1 hour from home and over an hour to my second job.. needless to say I couldn’t wait 6 days to get it done.. didn’t want to get stuck so far from work or home.. they squeezed me in and took care of me and my car!
