Ive been using these guys since the mid 90s. Havent had a need to find another bike shop. They also service my wifes wheelchair for us. Many times their mini skate shop has got me out of a bind. Theyre hardworking good guys over there.

Outstanding experience for a Sunday bike rental - plenty of availability, Robert was extremely friendly and helpful getting my wife set up with the most appropriate and comfortable ride, and he offered a level of attention and welcoming spirit that made an impression. Rented from Bicycles of Ojai today to ride the Valley Trail - Robert and staff were helpful, friendly, and funny - going the extra mile also to allow us to return late. Bike availability and suitability for our activity was great too. It doesnt get better!

We had a flat at the worst time and the kindness the owner showed was immense! Not only did he help us, but we learned how to prevent flats in the future and interesting historical facts about Ojai.Princess (the dog) was extremely grateful she didn’t have to walk all the way home.Thank you, the entire experience mad our day!

The owner was so helpful, respectful and kind. In my experience, many bike shop employees are either condescending or creepy to female riders- but not at Bicycles of Ojai! The owner listened patiently to my issue and advised without being pushy. He was busy but took the time to show me the process while he was fixing my chain. The piece I needed was older and a bit outdated but they had it on hand at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!!!

Deep cycling history inside these walls. Museum. Friendly, real staff. Go there, stare at everything, and buy something. Very very good bike shop. The Cycling Gods smile upon a shop like this. Thank you for existing, Bicycles of Ojai. 29 years!

The guys in this shop are olde time and have the goods throughout the shop to prove it. I was visiting the area from Florida and rented a 56cm Roubaix w SRAM red components. The mechanic was great. He swapped the 23mm tires to 28’s in a snap and gave me a bunch of suggestions on where to ride in the area. Highly recommend.

Stopped in while riding through Ojai because I got a flat and was in need of a new tube. These guys are awesome. Not only did they get me a new tube, they changed it on the spot in less time it would have taken me to get the wheel off!Super friendly service and they have everything from cruisers to e-mountain bikes. Cool shop, give them a try!

Ron is a hero! We called him 15 minutes before closing time. He said bring it over…I’ll wait for ya. He happily replaced the tube on our tandem recumbent trike in minutes and had us back on the road. It is so nice to meet such a wonderful guy! Thank you from Pasadena!!

We came in with a stripped out crank arm on a Ries-Muller and Bob tapped a helacoil insert into our crank arm !!! He used a special puller and removed our crank arm that no other bike shop could do. Simply amazing. This is the ultimate bike repair shop. Thank you much Bob for saving our bike trip.

This is the best shop around! Twice now they’ve helped me when I was here from out of town and needed some emergency repairs. Both times they got the job done within just a few hours of me giving them the bike. They are very knowledgeable and can fix just about anything! And the price is always very fair. I love this shop and would recommend it to anyone! It’s probably worth your drive if you’re down on the coast as well.

This is a real old school bike shop. Lots of bikes for sale, and lots of parts as well. Very friendly folks that are more than happy to help you get back on the road. We needed a new wheel for my nephew and a new tire for me, they hooked it up and got us back out on safe and sound bikes in no time. I walked a block to the local convenience store and by the time I got back (10-12 min) all the repairs were done and we were rolling again. This was all in the first hour of being in town, these guys really made our trip come together and enabled us to do what we came here to do. Theyre awesome!

I bought a used bike at a garage sale so I decided to pay them a spontaneous visit to get a quote on tune-ups. One of the owners, Ron, was gracious enough to take a break from his busy schedule to take a quick look at the bike--he tightened a few bolts, greased up the chain and pumped air to the tires for free. He also gave a friendly quote on a full tune-up, so thats all set for next week.For a small city like Ojai that attracts a lot of weekend tourists, its reassuring to know that theres a local bike shop that feels homey and delivers solid reliable service. Ive purchased several bikes from this well established shop throughout the years and theyve always done well by me. Bob and Ron have 100s of thousands of miles on them and both rode competitively. This is the reason you buy a bike from a local shop and develop a close relationship with them

Wonderful place to look for bike accessories. Their prices are very reasonable and they had great customer service. We needed a rear bicycle basket and they had what we were looking for and they were super friendly.

Glad to see Robert Coble (Owner) and Ron are still there... Bob built me a beautifully lugged steel custom Colnago with superb paint job, and loaned my son and I an ancient and beautiful track bike to ride near Sepulveda, on the kids track nights for some years. I bought a Specialized Tarmac there, back when these were only $4000. The very best place to buy a bike in the area.

A good local bike shop. Specialized dealer with a selection of various models somewhat limited by small space. Limited selection of accessories. There is an excellent shop staffed by the very knowledgeable local owner and other assistants, Very helpful and willing to look up and order anything they dont have on hand. Reasonable prices. Rental bikes are available One of the two bicycle shops in town - this is the one the locals use.
