Great hotel. Great location. Loved that they had an underground parking garage with elevator access! Rooms were big, beds comfy, clean. Wish they had a microwave in the room, but we just used their microwave in the dining area. Good breakfast. Will definitely stay there again!

No. Just No. I know this is supposed to be a Best Western Plus but it was so mediocre at best. The front desk service was slow to respond to just about any request, they refused to hand you things over the front desk counter and instead tasked house keepers with taking it up to you. Slowest elevator in history. The ac in room was busted and outdated and made a loud plane noises when it was actually running. The Mini fridge in the room took two days to actually get to cold fridge temperature. There is one communal microwave in the lobby for all hotel guests, none in rooms, and it’s old and sucked. Oh and biggest failure? The Hot tub (which I called to verify worked before I booked four weeks before hand) didn’t work at all and was broken. The front desk told me it was working and then it wasn’t. Also, the hotel in the gym sucked and none of the machines actually worked except for one sitting bike.Outdated, expensive and so NOT worth it. Don’t do it.

Pros: friendly staff, clean rooms, clean common areas, comfortable beds, nice toiletries provided, ample traditional breakfast selections, efficient member check-in, those orange easy chairs (see notes below)Cons: some traffic noise affects all hotels on the row, small parking spacesI stay here with some frequency for work, and both the front desk staff and housekeeping staff are always friendly and helpful. Staff are quick to respond to requests or issues, even when busy. The dining room is kept clean, the food fresh and frequently replenished, and the staff are attentive. My rooms have always been very clean and well-stocked, with comfy beds. Those new squeezy bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner are quite nice, and pleasant to use with a gentle natural citrus scent. I like the decor of this hotel, kind of a vintage 70s cool vibe to the main lobby, and a 90s earth tone warmth everywhere else. Im obsessed with the comfy orange chairs in the rooms, and spend a lot of time curled up in them. Part of their charm is their happy color. I hope the hotel never changes to that common, overused grey scheme that Ive seen so many hotels remodel in, as it is impersonal, unfriendly and rather depressing (that exam room grey thats everywhere). These rooms are done in shades of sand, orange and brown, and always feel more homey and welcoming.I cant speak to the pool area, as Ive never been, but I do often spend time in the lounge area. Its not huge but its nice, with seating and tables and a little store area on one side where guests can purchase various necessities and snacks. It does not have books or magazines, though, so bring your own if youre a reader who prefers not to read on a screen. Legend has it theres a laundry room, but to date Ive not been there.Overall, I recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, friendly staff and fair pricing. Its convenient location is near restaurants and shopping, and Ive never personally encountered any of the issues some reviewers mention. I stay here roughly 8 -15 x per year. This is not a 5 star resort, but a very nice stay for business or leisure travelers who want a pleasant hotel with good amenities without dropping 4 figures for two nights.

*Rarely* do I give out a full 5-star. Im not ultra picky, I just know the difference between acceptable and quality.The room? Immaculate. Not so much as a lone dust bunny or sneaky tissue hiding anywhere. Stocked amenities, lovely folded towels, everything clean as a whistle.The service? Immediate, friendly, helpful. Went out of their way to help me out in the middle of the night, even.The location? Right along some decently busy streets, but far enough back that I couldnt hear any of it. Thats what counts in my books.Theyve got all the frills, they keep it downright neat, and theyre quick to help out. Ya just cant get anything better than that without tripling the price.Will be staying with em again.

I am giving service a 2. We had called for a noise complaint for a room playing extremely loud music our room was literally vibrating from the for hours. Nothing was done. My family including my children were up all night. I called multiple times. Horrible nights sleep. There were also hairs (that didn’t belong to us) on our towels.

We stayed for about 2 weeks. Everything was great. Good location. Only downside is there is no washer and dryer to use and the rooms do not have microwaves. They brought one to our room though when they seen us constantly microwaving things in the lobby. Overall, very good stay and nice management, staff, and owner. They are constantly cleaning!

I am super upset with the stay! Especially the managememt !I dont like anything about this property, theres Ant in the room, and the staff and manager Maggie Tai didnt care at all, I got my face got really bad rushed itching every morning after woke up, and when I leave the room at day time, I am completely ok. Theres not even an apology from the management. The light plug was lose, the the light been going on and off. Theres this really bad noise I can hear dont know from where the whole night, which I cant sleep well at all. The bed is not comfortable at all. This is an extremely bad experience here! Manager Maggie offer 25% off for one of the night, and she doesnt think all those issue is a big deal!Dirty, management (GM: Maggie Tai) suck!Facilities old, and bed suck!

The beds are comfortable tho.About half of the pictures posted here arent from this hotel. The pictures with the more modern rooms are not from this hotel.

The reason I give this hotel such a low rating is because when my family and I got to our rooms they were ok. But the one thing that really bothered me is that there was a cockroach in the bathroom. All the other hotels were already booked so we couldn’t book another hotel and we had to stay here. Other then that the staff was nice.

The BEST hotel we stayed at on our trip! We stayed at about 8 different brands of hotels, a different hotel every night. John was Great! The room was great. We took a taxi ( thank you, Charlie)to TGIF and an Uber back. This is the hotel we will return to on our next visit to West Covina, CA. The owner of this hotel knows how to run a hotel!! They take pride in their business!! The customer service is great and the employees were friendly !! In this day and age, Pride is one thing that has disappeared along with customer service and tradition. This is now our hotel when visiting the area!!!

Booked this room as a part of a Route 66 tour. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Covina is centrally located and within easy driving distance from the route, and this hotel was more affordable than most in the LA area while maintaining good customer ratings. Only complaint, and it comes with the convenient location, is the highway noise from I-10. White noise phone application helped with this.

Good location, specious rooms.This hotel is conveniently located right off the 10 freeway. You can even see it when you drive by. The parking is plenty in the back. The front entrance and lobby are not huge and fancy as others, but the rooms are spacious. The heater and air conditioner work very well, so you dont have to wait for a long time to be comfortable. The bathroom is clean and neat. It does have a very small coffee maker, maybe just for one person at a time. The small refrigerator is not cold inside, so your drinks may stay warm. Plus, there is no microwave.However, the bed is big and comfortable, with very clean beddings.The whole experience is good enough with typical American standards and it is reasonable for the price.When I travel abroad, I always try to stay in this hotel chain first.

The room I had was nice. It was the wet at room with fridge and microwave. I loved the bed, it was nice and comfy. I loved the set up as well with the chair and desk. The tub was clean too.I loved my location easy to get to. I loved the breakfast in the morning as well. But they could’ve used some variety. I stayed 5 nights so after the 3rd day of waffles I was over it.

Went to the banquet room, for a class. The woman at the desk was very rude. And accused lots of stealing from the vending machines. She even made it a point to come in the room and state. That people need to pay.Let me just say No One stole anything. We All Paid.I will Never return.

This Best Western Plus, was terrific when it comes to location, close to lots of restaurants, shopping mall, excersize establishments, Freeway Travel/Street and so much more. The place is pretty clean, with lots of guests, not to mention, Free Breakfast every morning. Also, the staff here are courteous, benevolent, they maintain the place, very well. Its highly recommended. The only issue, I may have been concerned of, is the people walking around the Hotel at night... not something I enjoy seeing or even placing myself and loved ones around. But, if you keep to the indoors, at night, youll be fine. Im totally honest, about all my posts and places Ive been, never sugar coating anything... but still, I will stay here again, and again... thanks Best Western, I realize you cant possibly cease any person from walking the property, but thank you for moving rapidly when addressed to your attention. Thanks again.

We enjoyed a clean, cozy room. The room was cooled down prior to our checking in!! great detail. The workers are friendly . We were very impressed with the honest people that are employed there. In addition to a great stay, our family member stayed there too he left a money clip with money while rushing out. The hotel called him to tell him know . When the money was picked up all of it was accounted for .He was very happy and left a reward. We were very happy too. We have stayed several times and always enjoyed it very much. Staff was friendly, beds were very comfortable, pool and hot tub were nice and it is centrally located. Only one downside is that it is so close to Interstate 10 you get some road noise but its not really bad. Definitely would stay there again especially if they consider giving discounts for repeat customers.

Roaches.We booked the Jetted Tub King Suite for 3 nights.June 26th - night 1I found a roach crawling across my pajamas which Id set on the table. My wife began inspecting the room and found these dark spots on the mattress pad. We immediately began shaking out our things to leave. When confronting the front desk night manager Martin, Martin said theyre not roaches, theyre garden beetles. Reassured us the spots in the mattress pad werent bed bugs, but are plastic. He had a housekeeper who spoke zero English cut open the mattress cover to prove it. Martin also said theyve had to cut other pads open for other guests. Why not replace the mattress pads? Why even allow a paying guest to experience that scare?As for the garden beetle aka Roach, Martin promised we wouldnt see another. I was so tired from traveling, I needed to sleep. I figured if I saw another Id get my full refund and leave. A very unromantic first night.June 27th - Next day. Breakfast items were being taken in and out of the kitchen to keep the food fresh... Never experienced this before, and I wondered... but pushed to the back of my mind. They did this each morning with their food.June 29th last day, I woke up and when I turned the light on, 2 roaches ran about the shower tiles. I was beyond upset, knowing I shouldnt have settled the first night.I went to the front desk and told the assistant manager Minnie, that this was unacceptable. Best Westerns have great reputations, and roaches are not okay. Minnie said yes, weve been dealing with them for some time now, Im surprised Martin didnt move your room. WHAT?! So Minnie admits theyve been dealing with roaches. Martin LIED to us.We had to fly home and wash all our things in hot water and throw away luggage.We were told a day manager Maggie would call us to compensate for the situation. But kept being called back by the same assistant manager Minnie offering us unacceptable compensation. 20% off one night. Then 50% off one night.Im now contacting Best Western to have the situation handled professionally. Unacceptable. Over $800 to have a HORRIBLE stay ending with piles of roach exposed laundry and luggage in the trash.Im certain they put the food in the kitchen until guests hit the dining room to make sure there werent roaches as they brought the warming food trays back out.Unacceptable. Disgusting. Horrible guest service. Who lies about a roach infestation? Then argues well... were just a franchiiiise. Psh. Best Western will have their logo taken off this building.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a last-minute trip with some tricky logistics. With only a one night stay in an unfamilar location, the hotel portion of the trip needed to be perfect, and it was!This Best Western is adjacent to three other hotels. It offered the best price by far, and the level of quality and service was perfect. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and professional, and the whole experience was as good as it could be. With so many unknown variables in this trip, this was a wonderfully smooth stay! Thank you for help in making the trip a success! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

After looking trough many hotels around the area this was our last choice. I seen reviews and wanted to try it for ourselves and to top it off price was very good. And wow, we were amazed how clean our room was. Kids loved it as well. The sheets, bed and pillows were clean and super comfortable. The bathroom and shower we’re very clean as well. I love how they had a small coffee machine and big mirrors and closet to hang your clothes. One thing we didn’t like the walls were very thin or idk but we can hear the other people next to us doing their business lol. They also had sit down breakfast with our stay but the worker was serving it for you. The breakfast was good but we were craving waffles but that’s ok food was good and the girl serving us was very nice. Thank you so much for keeping it clean and so comfortable! We will be coming back for sure to this hotel. We love clean and comfortable affordable hotel like this one. You get my 5 stars.

Very nice place to stay at reasonable cost for the area. Convenient location. Access to microwave at all hours. In room coffee snd. Comfy bed. Great buffet breakfast with something for even picky eaters like me. Gym available all day. Only comment is id like herbal teas offered for breakfast. In room ironand ironing board appreciated. The shampoo and soap dispensors in the shower are easy to use and less wateful than the usual small bottles.

I had a room on the 4th floor. I booked to sleep well on site before my sons race (running). The noise of the freeway was abysmal, all night long, relentless. We both could not sleep, my son tried with noise canceling earbuds, I tried with pillows. I regret I did not think of bringing earplugs. I think at the counter they should provide you with earplugs by default. I will never book this hotel again. PS: also the room was really hot. It did have a 1970s air conditioning you could turn on, but I did not immediately find it because it was below the window.

We were treated very well by all staff from the second we arrived. Alex took very good care of us even with last minute walk in. We needed two beds but only one bed was available for friday night. Hotel graciously let us switch rooms on Saturday and gave us same room rate both Friday and Saturday. Several restaurants in walking distance and many more within 3 mile radius. What a beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. I LOVE this place and will return. The breakfast staff were so nice and helpful. The breakfast was great.The only issue I have is they dont have convenient electrical outlets near the bed. We had to unplug a lamp to use our CPAP machine. Id suggest getting the lamps that have built in outlets in the base. Just a suggestion. We will be back.

Conveniently close to I-10 highway & shopping center. Breakfast is very good, has a wide variety of items. The high-speed internet is great, we had no issues with it.

All the little things that make your stay enjoyable are present here. This has one of the better included breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns. The coffee machine is high tech and makes a good fresh cup of coffee each time. The facility is under renovation however it appears to be almost complete. The room was very comfortable clean and updated. I recommend that you get a room on the even-numbered side of the building to be away from the freeway noise.

The hotel lobby/grounds were well-kept and appealing to the eye. Parking was a breeze and we were able to secure parking every night in the main parking area out front of the Inn. All of the hotel staff were pleasant and took the time to greet us every time we passed in the hallways or in the breakfast room and at the front desk. I recommend this location for anyone staying in the area - you will have a very nice time.

The location for this hotel is somewhat out of the way, behind the highway. It may be difficult to spot from the highway and nearly impossible to know about if you were not from that area. The rooms are very clean and neat and sufficiently spacious. The staff is professional, friendly, and helpful. The service is what would be expected at a hotel in this price range. For the most part, whatever you need, within reason, they will oblige you.

Its an old hotel. So many of them are. The room was clean and the furniture that was in there was fairly updated. The bed was incredible. By far the bed was the best part of the room. Was quoted a reasonable price over the phone and then charged 30% more at the desk. Didnt notice it immediately. Top it all off they charge a premium for the jacuzzi room where the jacuzzi does not work. Are you kidding me. The jacuzzi in the jacuzzi room does not work. They need to call the bathtub room or something like that but its not a Jacuzzi room unless you call it a broke Jacuzzi room... still have not heard from the manager that I was told would call me about the overcharge and a discount for the jacuzzi in the jacuzzi room not working. Not going to hold my breath to hear anything from them

Although we enjoyed our stay overall, the minuses were: 1) Front desk person (Elizabeth), was polite, efficient but was somewhat aloof. As guests, we did not feel what every guest would like: a sense of being welcomed. 2) In this era of electronics, the room had no spare power outlets. I believe only three which were all taken. 3) Not a single hook in shower area, essential for hanging a set of clean clothes after a bath.

I stayed here for several nights about a month ago. For hotels, my biggest concerns are always cleanliness and safety, and this hotel rates 5/5 for both of those. The front lobby is clean, well-lit, and inviting. There are two computers with internet access available. The continental breakfast isnt bad at all.....they have good creamers for the coffee, they have cereal, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, toast, bagels, eggs, sausage, potatoes I think. Plenty of food. Coffee available all day long.The hotel is 3 stories. They have a pool, which I didnt use. Overall I would absolutely go here again.

We booked this hotel because of the great reviews, the fitness room and the jacuzzi. I think they need to add signs saying that the only way to enter the pool is through the ghetto conference room in the lobby. We got locked out of the hotel just by following signs that lead you to the pool. (Once you exit the door that’s leading you to the pool it locks and there’s no where to open it with your room key) So we had to walk all the way around the hotel in our swimsuits at night to get in to the lobby. That’s putting your hotel guests in possible danger. All doors should allow you to enter with your hotel key not just one door in the back of the hotel. The jets don’t even work for the jacuzzi and the jacuzzi water is barely even warm! It was hard to rest with the room ac system on. It was very loud. Also it was inconvenient that each time we wanted to workout we had to go to the front desk and get a special key. All other hotels I’ve been to allow you to enter with your room key so that’s very odd. Also no one mentioned that your treadmill is broken. What I did appreciate is your staff. They are very kind people. The location of the hotel is close to a lot of businesses. You can hear the cars on the freeway at night but we weren’t too bothered by it. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again.

We enjoyed this location and our stay very much. My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks prior to my hospital admittance for transplant at City of Hope. We had a lovely, clean, spacious and recently remodeled room on the first floor. They have an extensive morning breakfast also in a beautiful newly remodeled room; with several hot dishes, plus self serve fresh waffles as well as various pastries, breads, cereals, etc. Juices, coffees and teas. In the afternoon they always have coffee/tea and fresh cookies available. Most of all I cant express the genuine sincerity and helpfulness of the guest staff and manager. We made several new friends with the desk staff during our stay and even kept in touch with some of them from the hospital. I just booked our family of four coming from Hawaii to visit me at the hospital, they enjoyed the hotel and staff as much as we did. This hotel is nicely located in proximity to many restaurants and several malls. Theres a large movie (17 plex) complex just a few miles away.

Room we were checked into had broken refrigerator, and was also infested with ants and what appeared to be termites. We ended up killing about 20 to 30. Also while we were out for the day, we returned to an unbearably hot room. The air conditioning had been turned off by the cleaning staff. Plus, we had to ask for another wash cloth, in a room that was reseberrd for two people. Granted they had rooms under construction, but thats no excuse. I wanted to add, this is the first time we have ever had any issues with this location. We have stayed here many times in the past. Great value. Booked on Priceline for about $75 per night. Room was spacious and clean ; all of the things I needed were in there including ironing board, hair blow dryer, and refrigerator even. Weve stayed in 3 OTHER hotels in Covina. This one is by far the best for us. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean, convenient to many attractions. Im not saying they will be perfect every single day. But theyre the closest weve found over the years. The last few years, we stay ONLY at this location each time we visit the area. Maybe 6-7 times a year. They recently upgraded the breakfast, by offering more than just the basic fare. There is a lot more to choose from now. There is also a new room off the lobby, with comfortable seating, a large screen TV and a few comps, including coffee and fresh cookies.The only thing missing for us, is a microwave in the room. Its not a big deal, but it would be helpful for some evenings when we want something hot to snack on. Or a cup of cocoa.All in all, we really like this hotel. And theyre pretty much always able to give us one of our favorite 3 rooms. (I call ahead for that)Give them a try sometime.

I have stayed at this Best Western around 70 days a year for the past three years for work in the area. I stay at Best Westerns throughout the country, and its safe to say this one is mediocre at best. The breakfast is on par with most others offering the same bagels, muffins, watered down eggs, and cheap bacon and sausage. However, they have recently added rotating items like ham and burritos, so thats a plus. The hotel is going under a major renovation of sorts. At any given time two to three rooms per floor is under construction. The lobby and dining room are also receiving work. So thats a little off putting to some. They work decent hours, but if your near a room that is being worked on, and need to sleep during the day, forget it. What is sad is that the renovated rooms are exactly the same as the old ones. Just fresh. Im assuming the majority of the work is behind the walls. The most annoying aspect is the free wifi. My dial up internet in the 90s had faster speeds. Its completely unusable, so have a good data plan on standby. The most redeeming quality is the staff. They are top notch, even if the hotel isnt. If you are getting a single king bed your in luck. Comfy mattress and amazing bedding. If its a double queen however, its standard hotel scruff. I dont understand the disparity on that one. If you need a place to sleep it does the job, if you need a place to relax and enjoy a hotel look elsewhere.

Not sure why this Best Western is considered a Plus. It is over-priced for the amenities provided. The room had only one wall plug available for devices and not on the lamps as expected for a Best Western Plus. We kept our towels/washcloths to conserve water, but the washcloths were taken and not replaced. The complimentary shampoo/conditioner/lotion are all the same color and so we had all three conditioners only - that seems minor, but important to me anyway. We stayed here two nights. This hotel is in a good location with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, including a Dennys. A FULL breakfast is served! I had to stay here because my work got me a room here. Great place with a great breakfast. Now the rooms are very different. I stayed my first week in room 406. Great shower pressure, horrible freeway sound from that room. I’m pretty sure the window isn’t locked properly either, because I can feel cold wind coming through it even when shut. My WiFi worked pretty good from room 406. I had to come back the week after and got room 407 across the hall. Room 407 had horrible shower pressure, still had freeway noise, a refrigerator that sounds like a tractor. Oh and the WiFi was super sh!tty from 407. Crazy how moving across the hall makes such a huge difference. Also the doors to the pool and jacuzzi are locked. Even when you slide your room key nothing happens. Gym equipment is old too and they rarely restock the towels and stuff in there.

The first night our windows were kept open (Luckily I realized) the next day a family kept their doors open for a min and someone just grabbed away their purse (It had around $1500 and 4 passports)... I had a terrible and horrid experience at the hotel when I visited them from 27 to 29 May 2016. The staff is rude and unfriendly. The Hotel has no CCTC cameras.My wifes sling consisting of 4 passports of my family, USD 2000 and a brand new cell phone was stolen from the room on 29th May 2016. The manager of the hotel was not there and on leave. The 2 front desk officials refused to help. They did not pay any heed to our request of searching the housekeeping staff. Our stay in US had to be extended, my family passed through a terrible time an we had to pay through our nose to come back to India.The Hotel authorities were least bothered and their response was you manage your own belongings. Great hotel that felt very comfortable in. The room was clean, quiet, and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was eggs, sausage, potatoes, and coffee. The hotel is next to alot of restaurants and an outdoor shopping center which has more restaurants and shopping. Overall very happy, would stay again.

Room was a little drafty and seemed a little dated but the bed was comfortable and the staff was really friendly. The location cant be beat, being near restaurants and right off the 10 freeway for quick access to LA.Recommended.

Upon check in was told they needed to charge an extra $100 for security since I booked online. Then upon check out, told me they couldnt give me a receipt because I booked online. Now I have no invoice to expense my stay. Honestly, I believe they are racists against white people. Will never stay there again.

Nice service, we went to the Best Western in Diamond Bar, met a worst service ever of the front desk! And then we came here, nice service, and there has a more clean environment and friendly guy of front desk, and he heard my bad experience from DB Best Western, he initiative to give me 10% off, Thanks again !

Just stayed here a week while on business. The staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. The beds are better than sleeping at home. If you stay here make sure you try the Peruvian restaurant a block to the east.

Working out of town and stayed there 3 nights on the 1st floor. 1st night was good, 2nd and 3rd night I noticed bugs on the walls. I made sure to shake out my bags before I left.

I was outside early in the morning smoking a cigarette and the guy came out said something about where I was. I moved further from the door was a good 30 feet away and he started waving at me to go further away. No one else was around and I wasnt in the path of the door. There was no excuse for him making such an issue of it.

It was back in 2002 when I stayed in this hotel. Because it was my first visit to the USA, the hotel was ok for me with little restaurants nearby. I couldnt evaluate the location because I had no clue about the area. The rooms were ok and the staff was average.

The West Covina BW is a modern up to date hotel. They go out of there way to make your stay a great expearance. I would stack up against the other 3 High End hotels next up.
