I stayed here for two nights during a business trip. The room was very spacious and clean. Daily housekeeping was nice. The staff are all very friendly. The parking was convenient and offered lots of spaces. The breakfast was great with lots of options offered. Breakfast is also served in their on-site restaurant, which offers a great setting with plenty of seating available. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Been here a few times on business trips and Im really thankful for how clean and friendly this particular BW is. Gibbs (the attached restaurant) is delicious, and the morning breakfast is miles ahead of other hotels in the area made twice as enjoyable by the staff.Dogs are not allowed in or on the patio at Gibbs, which is a little trouble when grabbing breakfast in the morning.Not wanting to leave my dog in the room, I had to grab a bunch of food and wasnt sure how it was going to work out until Amanda, a genuinely kind woman and wait staff, went beyond grabbing me an assortment of Togo containers to help me sort the meal. We had the kind of conversation that makes early mornings much easier and I got the sense that, despite the patio being a no-go for dogs, the entire business is staffed with all around friendly folks who genuinely care about their customers.There is an area for dogs to go to the bathroom in the back of the hotel with dog bags available. And the grounds are looking real nice right now with the flowers just starting to bloom. I like the weight of the pillows here, and watching the strangeness that is daytime television. I keep telling myself Ill go swimming or get in the jacuzzi, but it hasnt happened yet. Got to hit it on the next visit, looks clean and inviting.X-Files is on channel 5 at 9:00 p.m. and its real fun to watch from the comfort of clean sheets. I like this place and Ill be coming back!

This place gave me the worst night of sleep I ever paid $190 for. This is not a three star hotel, its a mildly renovated motel. The beds are hard and lumpy, with deep wells in the center. The pillows are cheap, the blankets are thin and scratchy. The rooms are noisy external units close enough to I-5 to touch the trucks as they go past. The smoke detector makes a constant high pitched whine. The air conditioner is quiet and effective, except for when it occasionally starts rattling loud enough to startle you awake. When you turn that off you get to enjoy the loudest mini-fridge Ive ever heard, you can somehow hear it over the passing traffic and rattling plumbing. The curtains are an afterthought, hope you dont face east.Pros: its clean and it doesnt smell. The shower was ok.all in all, stay here if you want to be writing a review at 4am on the verge of tears from the hellish insomnia, terrified of the 600 miles you have to drive tomorrow.Edit: the breakfast wasnt even up to regular hotel standards. Theyre too cheap for a freaking waffle iron. They just have soggy eggs and toast and oatmeal. Im so sad. Im Gen Z so I feel guilty about giving a 1 star review to a place that isnt like... Infested with bugs or is just unusable, but I was miserable last night.

Terrible service. Came here with a team of 20. Reserved the room a month ago with lower rates. Checked in with no issues. Wasn’t until a day into our stay that they called and told us we had to pay a different rate. I ended up paying almost 2x the amount that the rest of the team payed without any help or wiggle room. They wouldn’t even put me under the teams nightly rate. I even put a gift card towards it and it didn’t even help. I’ve worked for a best western before, and that has never been an acceptable way to treat a customer. Not to mention, I still have the initial hold on my account if the original amount, yet I also paid the new amount, so I’m being double charged. All they want to do is gut you of your money.

Clean, quiet place to sleep off of I5. The breakfast buffet was really good! We checked in later in the evening after driving all day. The front desk personnel were extremely nice and welcoming.

Reserved throu app to get my points with notes that and arrivi g at 12 am. Checked in to clean friendly host thin young man. Guard outside. Beautiful grounds and room was very clean beds so cozy with 4 pillows a bed!! Double bed room so 8 pillows for 2❤️. Very quiet even though next to road. Breakfast was buffet smple but good quality. Eggs were delicious, big huge sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal fruit juices, restaurant quality in a actual restaurant but really nice. Breakfast hosts were keeping food going 6-930 and cleaning tables. No stale food there.The Bad : as checking out the morning woman host with dark hair. Was loudly talking on phone about guests. At another place, it wouldnt matter, but her attitude was stark contrast to the whole experience. But yes, Im coming back my next trip this way. Excellent stay.

We go through Redding about once a year and always stay at the Best Western Hilltop. Rooms are clean, comfortable and we always opt for extra room. Big plus for this Best Western is its restaurant. We look forward to having an excellent dinner there and the complementary breakfast buffet is exceptionally good.

Greatly exceeded our expectations. Stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast at their restaurant had lots of choices with plenty of dining space. Staff was helpful, courteous and always had a smile when they greeted you. Only drawback was the parking being somewhat tight, but still manageable and abundant. Overall, one of the best hotel experiences weve had in a while and worthy of a positive review.

Made the long drive down from Seattle and had another reservation with a hotel La Quinta down the road. They don’t have a room ready. They overbooked and were unapologetic about the situation. It was 9 am and I was dog tired from driving all night. I literally drove down the road to this hotel and asked if they had a room available and if they could accommodate me for an early check in. They went above and beyond to accommodate me. They had a list of clean rooms ready but just needed to be checked.i was in a room within 10 minutes. The hotel was heavily staffed and was ready for anything. Matter of fact while I was checking into my room the same lady that was helping me was helping a group of woman who were on Buisness trip. Seem to be some mix up with the billing. Shoutout to the woman behind the front desk. They were killing it! The rooms were very nice and spacious and the restaurant was top notch. The breakfast buffet was bar none the best free complimentary breakfast that I’ve ever had. Plus the parking was spacious and free! I definitely will be comming back to this hotel again!

The room was roomy. There were two beds. One bed sucked but the other was good. I wish they had a microwave to heat leftovers.I tried the breakfast but was not impressed. The day I went, the sausage was grey (undercooked), and the frechtoast was also undercooked. So I decided on oatmeal and found a hair. So I didnt go back during my 5 day stay.

We were tired when we reached Redding. We like Best Western. It was a bit pricy but worth it. Rooms were excellent. Clean and very comfortable. For tired travellers have and excellent restaurant in the same building for a very good supper and the next morning, a good breakfast was much appreciated. Well worth the price!

This is a nice hotel if you need a quick place to stay. Prices are competitive and the free hot breakfast is sooooo good. They had coffee, tea, juice, milk, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurts, toast, really good oatmeal with all the toppings, waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and really good sausage. Perfect start to the day. The only complaint I had is I was in the very back of the hotel and the freeway traffic was pretty loud. But, pick a different location and you will like this place. Very clean and felt safe as a single traveler.

⛔️⛔️ AVOID HERE, EVEN AVOID REDDING ⛔️⛔️Update regarding owners response:1. I am extremely shocked that the hotel used the third-party software as an excuse for the rooms deficiencies. As a small business owner, I have always believed that customers should be treated equally if they book through authorized channels. Moreover, the deal through this so-called third-party software was actually $150 per night for low-quality motel service. I must reiterate that the previous day in Eugene and the following day in the Bay Area, I stayed in four-star hotels at even lower prices.2. They keep emphasizing their better, remodeled rooms. However, they seem to forget that the kind lady later switched me to one of these “remodeled” rooms, which officially costs an extra $30 (to be fair, they did not charge me this upgrade fee, and I thank the lady again for that). The reality was that these rooms were merely upgraded from the 1970s to the 2000s in terms of buttons and flooring and faced the swimming pool, but everything else (beds, air conditioning, vanity, bathroom) was no different from the so-called standard room types. Imagine spending $200 in the off-season for a below-average motel.Original comment:Id give 5 stars to the kind lady who helped us switch rooms at 2 AM, but Im deducting 4 stars for everything else. The outdated facilities transported me back to the 1970s. If youre unlucky enough to get a room facing I-5, prepare for a 24/7 symphony of roaring traffic. The only possible praise might be that despite the stained bedding, we thankfully didnt encounter any bed bugs. However, this isnt just an issue with this hotel; it reflects a broader trend of decay and stagnation in Reddings hotel industry. For travelers like me just passing through, I strongly suggest bypassing this city. To illustrate: the next day we stayed in a modern four-star hotel in Sunnyvale for even lower price.

The rooms are clean but dated. Our bed in 210 had a hump in the middle with indentations where people sleep on the sides. The window A/C ran all night clicking on/off. Some people gave low ratings on the breakfast but I thought it was classy. Its not order as you please restaurant food but very good. The staff were kind and pleasant. At $212 a night for an Executive room, I thought it was a little high, but Ive stayed at other hotels with equal quality rooms for less, but the food definately made up for it. I would probably stay here again.

After some research, calling AAA speaking to AAA representative to verify 3 diamond rating despite less expensive Best western and other neighboring Hotels I decided on this one for our 6 night extended stay and I must say despite the excellent staff I was extremely disappointed! My review is as followsHospitality items 1-3 = 1 Star1. On day #1 : I asked 3X for extra pillows and was denied stating They didnt have any extra = Strike 1Im paying over 177.00 per night and NO extra pillows ? Seriously?2. On day # 1/2 I asked for microwave as I have medical need and was denied stating they had one in lobby. I need in room for my medical needs not in lobby! Strike 23. Day 1/2 They had nice marble round table (shown on their website) with 2 chairs. We are a family of 3 and needed one as indicated on their website and again was denied! This would indicate false advertising we personally never seen any in either our room or the rooms we happen to pass by they claimed they had some in other rooms but not ours and no extra for our room ! Strike #3So staff friendliness is just “fake” they appear nice but denied all requests!to make matters worse!4. Cleanliness = 1 StarThe rooms where not clean very dusty and we found old baby sock under chair with lots of dirt underneath and hidden as well as counters and the floors where so dirty the bottom of my socks where black ! They only cleaned our room 1X the 6 nights we stayed and didnt ask us if we needed anything ! NOT EVEN AT CHECK OUT ! If our stay was good or not! Under chair was sooo very dirty and who knows how long that sock was there!5. Breakfast = 1 StarWas horrible and doesnt reflect the C.R. Cribs or Best western Hilltop reputation or diamond rating on any level. It was the same every day .Runny watery eggs, burnt potatoes, sausage and French toast. Greasy bacon. They always started putting food away 45-1 hr before breakfast ends and Ive seen them use towel to quickly wipe up syrup on floor leaving floor sticky for others to track on their shoes and didnt seem to care . The staff was not very friendly and rude! The selection of breakfast was absolutely horrible especially for C.R. cribs and Even for a best western.6. Room = 1 StarVery small and extremely compact! Coffee maker in bathroom and toilet was so close to door you could not open if someone using! Not made for long stay !Unfortunately I would NOT stay there again and would not recommend for longer stays !P.S full disclosure: they have you signed and/or initial places in case you need medical attention, If they smell cigarette smoke (We dont smoke at all ) where if they wanted to could falsely charge you 250.00 if at their discretion smell cigarette smoke. So in reality if someone out side smokes and they lingers into your room you get charged ! They claimed that would never happen but who knows? If you refuse to sign you could find yourself scrambling to find another hotel at last minute! Be for warned!

The staff here were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. Thisnlocation had luggage trollies and an elevator, which a lot of hotels dont have. The breakfast area was in the adjoining restaurant. We were here for two nights and we enjoyed our stay.

Stopped in Redding for the night. I chose to stay at this Best Western because of the great reviews. The cost for one night was slightly higher but it was WELL worth it. I stayed in a room near the pool. I could park near my room. There is a restaurant attached. Breakfast there is included in room price. There was also a dog run on the Freeway side of the building.

Great location, clean room (Rm 151), King bed was terrible! Mattress needs to be replaced b/c it is lumpy & slants downward so I kept rolling off the edge!!!! Clearly children were using the mattress as a trampoline & mattress is broken. Breakfast was great, but the background music at 6:30 am was super loud hard Rock- like Bar music!!Could not carry on a conversation.

We’re currently staying here. We woke up in the morning to get ready for our day and there is zero hot water for showers. None. And when I called down to talk to the staff the boy who answered the phone was extremely rude and condescending. Refused to help in any manner or let me talk to any management. I would recommend staying next door or another hotel. Awful experience and I do not recommend this hotel.

We only stayed one night after a wedding, but the restaurant attached to the hotel was wonderful. We had the steak fries w/ fries and a strawberry beet salad. Both tasted perfect. The room was clean and had no odor. The same restaurant was where the breakfast buffet was served and that too was great. It included hot pancakes, eggs, large sausages, biscuits, gravy, and even fresh baked cinnamon rolls, in addition to the standard fare. We will be staying here again.

Newly renovated with all modern furnishings and decor. Cleanest room we have ever rented! It even has smooth floors so I didnt have to imagine what sort of grimey things might be stuck in the carpet.The entire staff was hard at work and very friendly. The pool and spa were pristine. The spa was 103°...which is the perfect temp for jumping outta the pool, into the spa, and back to the pool again! (So you know)(Short story time, if you want to keep reading. We were with a group, so we had multiple rooms, and a bunch of kids.(They havent seen each other in a while.)That being said...kids+hotel+second floor=loud for the first floor people😅Yet, I would say that the adjoining rooms noise level was fine.We had a conference room for the pre-wedding dinner here. The food was fantastic! Also, the waitstaff really knew their products! They were able to easily point out and give suggestions regarding food allergies and all that.Thanks, we had a great time!

This was the first Best Western we stayed in. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice pool to relax in the sun. The on site restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast with friendly staff and a comfortable bar. Shame other Best Westerns we stayed at were disappointing. Thank you for an excellent stay.

We rented the remodeled rooms coming and going from s. Cali from OR. I felt safe and the rooms are clean and fresh feeling. The pool decking is newer and the hot tub was a nice feature after a long drive, wish the jets were more powerful but does the tick. Hotel seemed quiet at night, even though it was busy place. The breakfast is served out of their restaurant which has I would say above ave food with real OJ, apple juice, serving real bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy and they change up the carb, it attracts an evening crowd and for a hotel restaurant says a lot. I like a strong coffee so I bring my own but they have everything to get that cup Jo before you go.I had looked at Hilton and they were more expensive and no breakfast, so with a family of 4 it was more convenient to eat here and of course costs less.

The gentleman who checked us in deserves all of the praise for his outstanding customer service. I am honestly frustrated I cannot remember his name because I would love to give him the recognition he deserves. Pleasant, welcoming and absolutely the person who you want greeting you after a long days drive. That man alone deserves 5 stars.Other pros of this hotel: very convenient location right off I-5, great for the pass through traveler. Pet friendly and whats even nicer is that they have ground floor rooms that open right to the outside AND they have a pet area right outside for the rooms in the back (and where I assume most pet traveling owners will be roomed).Coffee available in room, in front lobby and in restaurant where breakfast served. The area is local to reasonably priced gas stations (a rarity in some California locatioms!) and other nice restaurants if interested. The restaurant in the hotel is highly rated (although this is just general commentary of what I had heard, was not there long enough to enjoy dinner). Water pressure was GREAT.The cons and reduction for one star: because of the design, unfortunately, it is not as quiet as Id like. I get it, you have to sacrifice noise for the convenience of opening right to the parking lot, but that doesnt make it any quieter to the outside noise and highway. There has to be a way to get both. The breakfast was standard and limited and only okay/lukewarm despite us going in just after breakfast opened. Also breakfast started at 630 am which was a little surprising (doors were locked prior) - we were trying to get a really early start on that dayslong drive, but wanted to enjoy breakfast. Slight frustration that breakfast didnt start at 6 am.Overall, would absolutely stay again.

We went for a softball tournament and the stay was very nice. The pool is heated to 80° so the kids were able to swim any time. Curfew is 10 though so that was kinda lame. Huge restaurant, expensive, but very nice. Amazing breakfast! They have security guards and they were very nice and always seemed present so it added an extra sense of peace when visiting from out of town.

We were in town on a quick trip and enjoyed our 3 night stay here immensely. All of our staff interactions were so pleasant and super friendly; from the front desk to housekeeping. *Very welcoming and accommodating*. Top notch service! The room was renovated and very clean (and Im a stickler). Covid protocols were in place throughout the property and enforced/respected. Weve often found throughout our necessary travels during the Pandemic that often staff moral is been low and negatively impacts the service provided, but that was NOT the case here. We genuinely felt our business was appreciated and welcomed. We also had the complimentary breakfast every morning, and also a dinner at the adjoining restaurant. They too were super friendly and the food was great. Keep up the great work!!!

Parking can be at a premium but overall easy access to anywhere in Redding you might need to go. Excellent staff as well. Only downfall was the room decor is a little dated.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service at this hotel, particularly with their manager Vanessa. We booked a third party reservation for our road trip and hit extreme weather about fifty miles out from the hotel and there were zero access points to make it to the location. While I knew our reservation was not eligible for cancellation, I reached out to the booking agency and hotel directly multiple times to ask for leeway as this was an extreme situation. As a small business owner, I understand the importance of procedures but can also value situations that are completely out of customers hands and dangerous as this was. Vanessa agreed to make an exception to the cancellation and assured me she would honor it once the booking agency, Priceline, contacted her once more. From there, I went through half a dozen calls with Priceline and the hotel over the following two weeks and was told that accused me of lying and had made no such agreement. First I would call this a motel not a hotel, all rooms have outside doors. Older building with terrible insulation and lots of ware and tear. Pool is not heated hot tub is luke warm. Had a child running for over a hour around the room. Talked to Megan at the front desk, she said she would take care of the problem. The problem did not stop, we called and called and Megan would not answer the phone. I went down to the front desk and she was just standing there. She said she could not do anything about the noise with a huge attitude. We are Best Western Plus platinum members and stay at them only. We may have to re think about staying at Best Western Plus.It’s just very upsetting with as many times as we’ve stayed with BWP that the problem couldn’t be resolved. The staff was so friendly. Check in was one of the easiest Ive ever experienced. My son loved that in December the pool was heated and still open. That made it so worth it for him so stretch their legs and get some activity in from being in the car last three days. Loved the breakfast being at the restaurant. I did 4 stars only because the mattresses are not pillowtop and not the most comfortable. We were in a room with the two queen. I always feel that comfort is almost the most important.

I adore this hotel and wonderful staff. We arrived at 10:20 PM and the white lights wrapped at the base of several large Palm trees at the well lit entrance of the hotel created a wonderful ambiance. The front desk staff were helpful and extremely courteous. They placed us in a ground floor room with an exterior door so unloading our vehicle was a breeze. I was a single parent on this trip traveling with my teenage daughters. They informed us all that the security guard patrols the parking lot throughout the evening and that made my daughters feel good (nice touch!). The A/C unit didnt work, the shower temp fluctuated, but our room was clean, our pillows and beds were comfortable, the full service restaurant/bar was sweet, the easy access to I-5 was perfect, the staff was excellent and so was our stay.

We were so happy we chose to stop here and stay one night after 13 hours driving. The room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The restaurant was not your everyday selection, more special. We enjoyed a gourmet meal with excellent service, slept very well in a comfortable bed and had to leave at 5:30 am so we missed the full hot breakfast that was included. The front desk was more than accommodating of our needs (finding a room for 5 at the last minute is not an easy task). We stayed only for the night as this was the midpoint of a two day drive. When booking a room online, there was a choice of 2 queen beds, or 2 queen beds deluxe. I spent a lot of time deciding if I wanted to spend the extra money for the deluxe room. After reading the hotels description of the deluxe room as quiet and not next to the highway, I decided to book the deluxe since we would be driving all day. When we arrived around 1130 pm, we were assigned a room on the opposite side of the hotel lobby. Instead of taking our luggage and kids back to the lobby, we spent the night in the room and talked to the desk clerk the next morning. She argued that, the room met the description of a deluxe room. She said all the beds in the hotel are the same size and that is their queen size. We stayed at a Marriott hotel the next night and my husband said, now this is a queen. Take notes Best Western. After showing the clerk the hotel description of the deluxe room on my phone, she gave me a credit for just the price difference between the regular room and the deluxe. This was my express checkout.Find a better hotel, with better service, thats truthful about their descriptions and not next to the freeway.

This is an older Best Western that at the time was in the process of being remodeled. The rooms were very nicely re-done but at that point had no microwaves do to problems with older wiring....not sure if that was a permanent thing or has been dealt with. Was a bit inconvenient trekking our left over lunch down to the temporary lobby to have it re-warmed in the staff room but the front desk lady graciously re heated it for me. First off, the breakfast was incredible! Buffet style with all kinds of hot foods. The 2nd room we stayed in, had a lot better vibe and decor. The first room, was pet friendly as we brought a dog, but when we came in, we checked the sheets because were paranoid like that, and there were various hairs in the sheets, and a big matte of blonde hair stuck to the bottom of one of the comforters. We asked them to switch rooms, and the front desk employee seemed upset that we wanted to switch, which I could see as it was almost full and now they said they couldnt use the other room. So we switched to another room, but they said that wasnt pet friendly, so my pet had to stay in a crate in the vehicle all night. But then they forgot to take off the pet charge. So the next morning I had to inform them of that, and they graciously corrected it. All in all, not a perfect stay, and I prefer rooms where the doors are on the inside of a hotel, not on the outside, as it seems like a motel, and the room sizes are smaller than newer hotels. But the hotel graciously responded and corrected all our issues that we brought up with them. Again, awesome breakfast!

Overall, it was a positive experience. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and when I needed to extend my stay for an extra night it was no problem. The rooms seem to be recently remodeled; very clean and well appointed. No microwaves in rooms. The breakfast buffet is one of the best Ive had. Plenty of fresh fruit, juices and yogurt, plus eggs, bacon, and potatos OBrian. Lots of breads to choose from as well. Be sure to check out the GIBBS Restaurant located right off the lobby. The food is great and they have a full bar Happy Hour! 😊I definitely recommend the Hilltop.

In our most recent stay in Nov. 2017, The check in lady was very helpful, but do not have her name. Also the waitress and cook helpers in the restaurant were very good. In fact when I ordered the calamari for dinner, the guy from the kitchen came back and said they were out but that I could order something else, when the waitress brought out the menu he came back and asked me if I could wait about 15 minutes if they prepared a calamari dinner fresh. I said yes and so they brought me my original request with about half as much more than a regular size of the calamari dish and also gave me a free beer while I waited. This has to be the worst experience of any stay in the last 30 years. We were to stay 2 days but left in the early afternoon as all of the kids in our party got a severe rash from the swimming pool and had it for over 10 days. When I told the manager on duty MARY, she was very unpleasant and unprofessional and simply told me if I dont like their pool to pack up my things and get out! Didnt give a refund eighter. A bigger problem is noise; the exterior-facing rooms open to public walkways and passers-by made a lot of noise well into the night and early the next morning. Aesthetically, the rest of the property outside the lobby feels old and worn down and altogether not very inviting. I dont know what criteria Best Western uses to designate its Plus properties, but I dont believe this property deserves that moniker. Other Best Westerns (such as the Ashland or Mount Shasta ones) are much, much nicer (but also cost more). Perhaps the inconsistencies between different Best Westerns are more a product of their franchising model rather than the fault of any individual hotel.All in all, it was a fine stay, but Id probably choose the Red Lion Hotel just up the street rather than this property (at a similar price point). Its just a bit nicer and the rooms are more secluded.

It wasnt Clear online that this was an INN, so what was classified as down stairs and pool-side but the lady who helped me book the room, was more like down stairs, with sight of the pool, lol.. But I quickly got over that because the weather wasnt conducive for swimming. The room was a nice spacious size and clean. Dont stay here! The room stunk right down to the pillow!! The stench in the room was a combination of the lack of cleaniness and a mechanical smell coming from the air conditioning unit. It was disgusting. I actually washed the headboard off before trying to get some rest, because there was something nasty on it. Had we gotten there earlier, we wouldnt have stayed; however, we didnt arrive until 10:00 pm and had driven all day. The elevator stunk and had filthy carpet. Who puts carpet in an outdoor, non-ventilated elevator? Hotels outdoor walkways were dirty and the railings around the walkways have cobb webs on them.... so did the corner of our door into our room. How dated the room was pales by comparison. Funny...the hotel lobby is nice and the restaurant is clean and decent. Beyond that this hotel needs updating and a thorough cleaning. Staff was friendly.

Approached the front desk, only to see the staff go into the office and start discussing dinner.On their return it was more an interrogation than the usual check in process. Rude, abrupt and ignorant at the same time from the older lady.On checking into the room I was greeted by a noise/resonance that can ony be compared to sitting in an engine room on a cruise ship. To be diligent the first thing I did was check it wasnt the wall AC causing the noise. It wasnt, I stuck my outside the door and it was quieter outside than in. I5 is not more than 300 away.I decided to call reception and enquire if there were any other rooms available, instead I was put on hold for 8 minutes before I gave up and went down there.On speaking to the nicer of the two front desk staff, I was informed that i was next to the laundry room and it would shut off at 2100hrs and I could have some complimentary earplugs. That level of customer service is absolutely unacceptable and not befitting Best Westerns brand. On returning to my room I walked past the laundry room and observed that it doesnt shut down until 2300hrs.In summary, rude, thoughtless and ignorant staff. exceptionally noisy room and not worth the effort. If you are visiting Redding and have any other options, take them.

This is not just a Best Western! If youre thinking that this is a random motel on the side of the highway as you pull off desperate for some sleep, youll be pleasantly surprised to find that this motel chain location is really more of a hotel style spot. There are renovations in the lobby still, but they didnt disrupt our sleep at all.The breakfast, which was included in our rate, was very tasty and great quality - a filling buffet style breakfast and not just a sad, little toast, under ripe fruit, and a few yogurts that some places call breakfast. I cannot speak for the restaurant or bar since we didnt try it - we went straight to bed!The night auditor, Vanessa, who checked us in was fantastic. She got us a very quiet room that was mercifully close to the entrance and made the check in process very speedy. Checking out was also a breeze and there were no hidden fees.The reason I am not going full throttle five stars on the review is that the individual AC units in the room are pretty noisy so I had some issues falling asleep with them, a fully shutting door between the bathroom and the bedroom would have been great, and the decor of the rooms (i.e. popcorn ceilings) still has a motel-esque vibe.But dang, if I could rate this 4.5 stars I would. Definitely would stay here again!

Due to Front Desk error, we were locked out of our room - me and my child, in a remote corner of a giant hotel complex in a strange city. I have a shattered ankle and cant walk to Front Desk, which is about a football fields length and two stories away. Driving around would mean re-loading all of our bags back in the car first -- so I called the number on the key card to ask Front Desk to send someone with a new card or to let us in. I was told I was lazy and why didnt I walk myself, then I was told to send my 9 year-old by himself through the outside corridors next to the parking lot and down two flights of stairs, in a strange city, right next to the Interstate - then I was laughed at, and told I was being difficult, and after 20 minutes of begging I gave up and limped to the Front Desk. Front Desk manager Rosie told me if I was unhappy with how they handled it I was free to stay elsewhere.Ironic, or just sad, because night before -- when Rosie was not around - the staff were stellar and my son said, We should go on Yelp and tell people how great this hotel is! We were on our way back to the hotel to do just that when Rosies mistake had locked us out. She admitted her error but never apologized for it, and added after I told her I had a shattered ankle, My ankle gets sore, too. So sad one person can spread so much misery. My son said, Rosies one of those women who is mean but smiles when shes angry.So in fairness, we give it four stars when Rosie isnt around -- but call ahead to make sure shes not on duty. Her role isnt clear - she lead me to believe she was the Hotel Manager because I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager and there was no one above her. However, when I took pen and paper and started writing things down, she remembered that she wasnt actually the manager and she did have a supervisor, who may or may not be the Hotel Manager because she wouldnt give me his last name or his phone numberI cant give it five stars when Rosie isnt around because of the freeway noise another person wrote about. So loud it woke me up the first night throughout the night, and I am the worlds heaviest sleeper. Our whole room was rattling -- Im from the Bay Area and at first I thought we were having a small earthquake or S-wave because the room was moving so much. Then I thought the guests next door were operating some kind of loud medical equipment or machinery - then I realized it must be I-5 which is right next door. We are in wing of the complex close to freeway but not immediately facing. We didnt complain because the first night people were so friendly - good service is hard to find and we put up with a loud freeway if were treated with respect.

Stopped here for the EV charging which worked out well. Two Tesla, two normal EV chargers. Room was nice and fairly updated, though it seemed like there was too much furniture for the room so there wasnt much space to walk around.

Better make sure to show up ealrier than recommend check in time, this hotel will sell your room and tell you sorry there is nothing they can do about it. I booked a room about a week in advance. Upon arrival after a 3 hour trip with 3 teenage girls I was told the room I needed was sold out and there were no other double bed rooms available.
