NOISY: look elsewhere if you want a good night sleep. The walls and ceilings are very thin - it sounded like the people above us were moving furniture around well past midnight every night and again at 6AM. Room cleaners moving their carts along the hallways sounds like a jet airplane flying by, and the maintenance people start hollering around 7AM across the courtyard. Other than that, it was the typical 2-3 star motel. The beds were comfortable.

You are definitely staying here for the location. The proximity to the Hollywood bowl and the Hollywood walk of fame is key. Found some hairs in the bed and shower but overall it was okay

I made this reservation as a last minute change due to travel time to the Universal Studios from our original hotel in Anaheim. Room was very spacious and clean. Staff we spoke to were all friendly and helpful. We were in a Jeep Wagoneer and parking was a little tight for the size of the vehicle but we made it work. The garage was very well lit and safe in my opinion. Area around the hotel felt safe and way better than a few blocks down near other hotels that we had looked at. It was a quick 5 to 7 minute drive to Universal Studios and drive was quick and easy. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed recently with 2 rooms for the family and ended up leaving after the first night. There were roaches. It smelled badly of mildew. The elevator smells like urine. Carpets and bathrooms were filthy. The security guard was following us very closely for over 20 mins. It was gross and felt unsafe. If we didnt get to town so late at night I would have left immediately.

Ive stayed at 6 hotels and an airbnb over the last four weeks and if I was ranking them, this place would be at or near the top. Its a motel, so I didnt expect much, but the room was clean and comfortable, the staff that I interacted with was friendly, and the location was great. I went to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and it was a short, easy walk to and from. I would definitely recommend this place and would consider staying there again if I go to see another concert at the Bowl.

I returned to the hotel last weekend and Pio was there with his gracious hospitality!! This hotel is fantastic quiet, safe and within walking distance to the famous Hollywood Blvd!!!!! 100% 5 Star Thanks Pio, see you again in June!!!I have traveled many times to Hollywood and always use Best Western. This property is excellent walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. But, best of all, best management I have ever experienced. I called the hotel traveling from Arizona and asked for an early check in if possible. Unbeknowst to me I had the GM on the phone his name was Pio his response was sure come on in and this was around noon three hours early, and when I asked if I could have a noon checkout he responded, Sure we give you the first hour free!!! This was the Best Experience I have had with Best Western. I will be back, also parking is on site and they have security, Thanks Pio your hospitality is 5 STAR!!!!

Room was okay. Bathroom was rough. The shower grout lines disgusting. Mold on the wall. The sink didn’t have shelf. The view from our window was a run down building and homeless tent. The area is extremely rough a lot of trash and homelessness and would not bring a family around. You for sure can not go for a walk at night in this area.

Easy walk to the Hollywood Bowl which was a pleasant surprise. Parking was $22 but much cheaper and easier than having to park at the venue. Room was clean and I liked that there was tile/laminate flooring instead of carpet. Hotel staff were friendly as well. Id stay at this location again.

This hotel is in a great location if you are headed over to the Hollywood Bowl for a concert. We took an Uber to the concert but the hotel was close enough to walk- we ended up walking back once our concert was over. The rooms are your standard room and were very clean-which was nice. Customer service was excellent.The Cons- even with a room in the back it is very loud. We heard every car driving on the very busy road and a domestic dispute at the hotel at 2 am which woke us up.The hot tub was not hot, it was the same temperature as the pool, kind of luke warm. Which was a bummer.

This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. Our check-in was smooth and pleasant, and the attendant gave us an upgrade. The hotel room design was so unique, rooms are comfortable and each room has a small balcony. Cant recommend this hotel enough and will definitely stay here again when Im back in Cali!The only thing that I would recommend is to clean the floor!

Hotel was clean and has a small restaurant on the first floor. We had two Hollywood Bowl shows that we were going to over one weekend, and this Best Western is within walking distance. It took us less than 10 minutes to mosey over. This is also walking distance to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and all the goings on over that way.

Love that they have whirlpool tub/spa rooms. Outstanding location. Parking is $22/night which was more reasonable than those charging $50!!! Super close to Hollywood Bowl. Few blocks from Hollywood Blvd, Chinese Theater, Dolby Theater, and great tourist stops. We didn’t try the highly rated restaurant downstairs, but heard good things. The staff were polite. What keeps it from a five star: We didn’t have reliable hot water, it wouldn’t stay on the same temperature. We let them know immediately, and while they did have someone come to the room, it wasn’t fixed.

Only good thing about this place was the location. Beds were small (double not queen) and uncomfortable. Hidden parking fee. Wi-Fi never worked. Semi-quiet. NO HOT WATER. When we brought this to their attention they acted like it was a brand new issue and tried to make us change rooms. A simple review search revealed it was a longtime problem. The place was not even 1/3 full but they refused to allow us to stay in our room and use a different shower. Eventually they refunded our parking fee for the water troubles. Unless you like cold showers do not stay here.

We stayed here one time and it said it was smoke free but it stank and once again we stayed and it has the strongest cigarette smell and it was stuck to my clothes and gave me a headache. The floors were very dirty. We only walked a couple of steps in the room with our white socks and they were caked with dirt. The location is horrible you have a hard time getting out . The parking spaces are so tiny too. Not happy with our stay . The people up front are nice so they get 5 stars but we will never be staying here again.

Great location, within walking distance to the Walk of Fame and a five minute drive to Universal Studios! Safe area with private parking (although parking spaces are tight). Relatively quiet for the location. Our room was updated, clean, and comfortable for our short stay. It had both a nice size fridge and a microwave. There were laundry machines and an ice-maker on our floor. We tended to take the stairs (elevator was slow and often skipped the 2nd floor) which should be secured by a door requiring a keycard to enter, but we often found it never latched shut. Be prepared to pay $22 a night for parking (which is cheaper than most of the area hotels) and if you speak to someone on the phone they will tell you they will comp it because you are a reward member, but you will get a different story once you check in. Also, there is a $45 fee to check in early, but early is defined differently depending whom you speak to (on the phone we were told no fee after 1pm, in person it was the normal 3pm check-in time). There is a small pool and hot tub at the back of the parking lot which looked clean, but we didnt utilize. Front desk woman was definitely not so friendly or accommodating. Juan, whom we spoke to both on the phone and in person demonstrated much better customer service, but did not fix the bill as promised. Other than the check in experience and poor service from the front desk staff, the stay was good for the price (in Hollywood) and we would likely consider staying here again.

Currently staying here. We will be staying from 7/16 to 7/19, 2022. So far it has been fun! The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. The pool looks nice. The rooms are properly ventilated and cooled. Sleeping is so nice here and we’re planning to swim at the pool! Not forgetting the close access to the Walk of Fame and a drive to Universal Studios Hollywood!

I read the reviews before staying here and was a little confused. They were either really good or really bad, so it was a toss up as to what our experience would be. My husband and I just flew in for the weekend, so we really just needed a place to rest our heads between various events and excursions. This place was absolutely perfect for that. Getting to and from the hotel was easy, even with Hollywood traffic. The check in was quick and simple, the room was clean and smelled good. It was small, but for the price, and location, it was perfect for us. We have stayed in really nice hotels and really sketchy ones. This one was perfect for what it was. And parking was reasonable! Only $18/day as opposed to the $45 charged by bigger hotels. Thanks BW. Job well done.

We had a great stay here…We had a concert at the Hollywood bowl recently, and stayed here, one for the points and two because it is close to the concert.The hotel looks older…the style of it, but our room was large, clean and had upgraded amenities.The room had a large TV, safe and small fridge.The hotel has 3 floors, with an elevator at each end.We also noticed there was an ice machine on each floor.The location is amazing.We walked to the Hollywood Bowl from here in about 10 minutes.And, after, we walked down the Hollywood area by Roosevelt Hotel in about 20 minutes.A great hotel.

The hotel staff is really nice. The rooms were clean. However the bed feels like you are sleeping on a bed of bricks. My whole body hurts. Plus you hear every sound outside of your room when you are trying to sleep.If it was not for that I would have given them a five star.

Great stay here. Short walk to the Bowl! Then shorter walk to the Blvd. Everything is within walking distance. The staff was awesome. Manager and owner really nice. Never seen a cleaner more organized hotel in my life. Couldnt find a piece of trash anywhere. Room was perfect. Nice shower with good water pressure. Kids loved the pool. Unbelievably quiet at night. Even on the weekend. Highly recommend this hotel for your California stay!

Recently visited this hotel, excellent service from the front desk to the wonderful housekeeping staff! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Left a bag in the room, called 15 minutes after I left and asked them to grab the bag and hold it until the next day. When I returned the next day they said they threw the bag away. Our room was good looking and spacious. Also the bed and pillows are super comfy. The only things that really were frustrating is our sink had no water pressure and no free breakfast (Knowing that when we booked of course). Also we had to replace our keys 3 times because they wouldnt open our door. The location is right by all sorts of activities that could be reached walking in 20 minutes. We might be looking at others next time, but this is a nice hotel.

Location was good, price was LA standard (pricy LOL), room was ok at least they provided a microwave inside so we can bring instant ramen for breakfast. Unfortunately, we had a little incident. One day we got back in the evening & our room not have been clean yet,I guess they missed our room. Im not angry about it,I saw some housekeepers still out there and asked them to fast clean washroom and make my bed that’s all. They send a guy and I guess he looked panic & confused and asked us what do we want him to do. After explained to him we left and came back around 15 mins later & they were gone. We entered the room & everything was ok until I realized our instant ramen in the plastic bag on the table was gone. I called the receptionist & the way they handled it was so disrespectful. Asked how much it was and said they have ramen in their vending machine. First of all, our ramen not the cheap one we bought from Canada, 2nd it’s not the same with the one in vending machine, even though they said had ramen in vending machine I asked the guy are you gonna buy it for us for 2 more days? He didn’t answer it and toldUs to meet their manager tomorrow morning!!! That’s an insult for us. We came back to our room, around 30mins later someone knocked our door and it was one of the housekeeper guy but not the one cleaned our room. He brought a plastic bag of our ramen & asked is this the one that we’re looking for? He apologized that “a cleaner was a newguy” and today was his first day. He felt responsible about it and looking for a bag & found our ramen bag. He explained the guy was panic so he thought our ramen bag was garbage need to be thrown.He speak limited English as he fluent in Spanish. I understand the situation and thankful that he found our ramen back & returned it to us. He also came back to our room & brought us 4 bottles of water. I really appreciated his respond to our problems compared to the reception guy. Btw housekeeping guy name is Valencia (at least it was namein his work T-shirt).

Totally disappointed and I love Best Western Plus hotels. First of all the deposit is $100, for this place. I have stayed at a way better one down the street and deposit was less 🤷‍♀️ Then notice of pool still closed not posted when you book the room. I literally saw a guy jump over the gate and for in the pool to chill. I called front desk to let them know. Hopefully they kicked him out. The rooms are non-smoking, but they smell like someone has smoked a whole carton. This stay was an emergency with my kids and disabled husband. It was not pleasant, but we already had booked and too late to cancel.

Very dissatisfied. Booked through the 800#, never was told that there wasnt breakfast, or that I would have to pay for parking. This hotel should not be deemed a Best Western more like a Motel 6. I have used Best Western many times and this is the first time having having NO Service for the rooms. Paying for parking, and zero breakfast accommodations. People who checked in the 2nd night had cops there and the music was loud. $500 for two nights not worth it. Definitely in need of upgrading all the way around.

The hotel is located five minutes from Universal Studios which is great but the hotels beds were super hard. The drink machines were broken. Homeless people hung in the hotel. I had to wash my clothes so when I used the machine, sand came out of the pipes and dirtied my clothes. I had to clean them before putting them in the dryer. While waiting for my clothes to dry in the laundry mat, there was a homeless man sitting on top of the dryer doing drugs. That was scary! The door to the hotel restroom is also somewhat broken. It’s hard to open and close. Over all, just a bad bad hotel. For almost $1,000.00 I would not stay here ever again. Location is good but trust me, safety is more important.

Parking is awful. We have a minivan and the parking spots are a tight squeeze. Check-in was easy--the ladies were very nice. The room was decent, microwave smelled like shrimp, possibly from previous travellers. Beds were comfortable, pillows were small and flat to me, but my husband liked them. Swimming area was enjoyable. Water pressure and shower head were excellent. I like the shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser in the shower too. Sink drain ran a little slow. Wifi was spotty most of the time. Excellent location if youre going to an event at the Hollywood Bowl--quick 5 minute walk. No continental breakfast, which was a big bummer. Might possibly stay here again, but I would first check out the Hilton Garden Inn that is next door first.

Nice clean property in an excellent location in West Hollywood, walking distance to Hollywood Bowl. Very friendly efficient staff, clean room. Good value for the price in that area. Also, cold water dispenser available in the lobby daily was nice. Internet connection speed very slow in the room, and my A/C wasnt working first night. Maintenance was sent up to replace it, very courteous guy, but didnt finish until after midnight and I was exhausted. No restroom in the lobby, which was odd, only restroom other than in the rooms was on the 3rd floor. Plan accordingly! But overall a good stay. I will return.

The place was clean and the staff friendly. Pool and hot tub was pleasant. Had a microwave and refrigerator. The water pressure was wonderful. Within walking district of the wall of fame, Dolby theater, and a bunch of other things. In a safe location.Downside the walls are a bit thin so you might need earplugs if youre a light sleeper. Also room service does not listen to do not disturb signs. This might have just been on the final day but there was no knock. They just tried to come in even with the sign.

Rooms smell awful, had a terrible night from the strong smoking smell even though my room was non-smoking and the street noise is terrible as well. I also didnt feel safe at night. I dont understand how this hotel has so many 5 star ratings.

Good location to get to everything within walking distance. Very loud so don’t expect a peaceful nights rest. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. Bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way and sink drain was shut so had to have water drain very slowly, but that can all be fixed. Ok stay for the price.

We stayed two nights at this hotel when we visited Los Angeles with the kids (2 boys). This is a no-frills hotel, clean and conveniently located. The staff is not particularly welcoming, but gets the job done. Our deal didnt include breakfast, but saw other guests enjoying a breakfast, most likely for an additional cost. Although the hotel is more like a motel style facility, the rooms are of decent size and clean. The bathrooms are spacious and clean as well with attached soap, shampoo, and lotion dispensers. The beds were clean and comfortable. Overall, it is an okay value in LA. I prefer not to at stay at a motel style facility, considering we paid about $200/night.

Wow what an experience. After traveling for almost 12 hours we come to check-in to this hotel only to find out there is no warm water. Hot tub was also out due to not having hot water and the price wasnt adjusted or no form of accommodation was made for not having these amenities for MORE than 24 hours. I get that things happen, but the fact that there was an entire day of cold water that we paid for all services to be up and functional. I think its a little ridiculous that no form of adjustment in price or offer was given to accommodate this inconvenience. Especially after a long travel day and not being able to take even a lukewarm shower... pretty upsetting. Will definitely be thinking twice before using booking.com to book in the future or for this hotel..

At check in, we were asked if we had a car and we told the gal that we would have one the 2nd night. She told us it would be free for that night as I am a Diamond Select Member. After we got our rental the next day, my husband went to the lobby to get a parking pass and was told there would be a charge. He told them we had been told it would be complimentary and only after he was told we had to give a 10/10 rating would our parking be free, horrible!! The beds were the worst ever, I had to use my travel insurance for medical treatment. It was like sleeping on a giant, hard ball that you cant rest your full body on. The rooms were bleak and boring. I requested a kettle, nope, and was hoping for a room upgrade, no to that as well. I couldnt wait to leave!

I found and booked this hotel solely based on its proximity to the Hollywood Bowl. This was our first time staying here for a concert, but will definitely not be our last. We arrived early, but were able to check in and then easily walk to fun tourist destinations and, later that evening, walk to the Bowl. The room was spacious and had a small fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Though we didnt use the pool this time, it looked like a fun place to hang out. The cafe on-site offered a nice variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and had great coffee. We had a wonderful, quick trip up to LA and this hotel was a big part of keeping the logistics easy. Looking forward to staying again soon!

Good enough room with A/C, reasonable parking, and tiny swimming pool. The best part is that its within walking distance to Hollywood Bowl. Reception staff and restaurant staff were helpful, professional, and polite. Standard bedding, clean towels, standard furnishings. If you are seeing a show at the Bowl and need a place to stay, come here. Located near the venue, its a quick walk over, and you dont have to deal with parking :) Its clean, quaint and the service is awesome. If youre into celebrities and the walk of fame or whatever, its also easily within walking distance, without all the hustle bustle of being located directly on Hollywood. The only complaint Ive got is when they come around to do cleaning, their cart against the ground sounds like what I imagine an earthquake would sound like. There also is an $18 nightly parking fee, which we werent aware of until our arrival. Other than that, its lovely.

The house keeping did a good job. The day front counter attendants were polite. The night attendant acted like it was an inconvenience to ask them to break 20. While swimming in the pool the manger came and talked to us, he was polite but let us know that the rooms were half of what we were paying for them and since we reserved our rooms online “how almost everyone does now days” there wasn’t anything he could do. There was a security camera pointed to the pool/hot tub area but must have been for show, since I saw people having sex in the hot tub, didn’t appreciate especially since my kids were in it the day before!

The main selling point is the location though, you cant do much better!However, our return flights were cancelled multiple times and a flight was re-arranged for us out of our hands, we had to cut our stay short by 2 nights. Booking.com have been unable to get a response from the hotel multiple times, and I have had no response after emailing the manager directly, this was over a month ago. I have also emailed Best Western customer service and they have been unable to get a response from the hotel. I have given the hotel plenty of time to reply due to the ongoing corona issues and in case they had closed, but I see they are still open and accepting customers. By all means stay at the hotel, but dont expect any form of customer service.

I really dont know how this place earns a 4 star rating. The rooms are small and cramped, and we only had 2 adults and 2 kids. The bathrooms are tiny, our toilet flush noise was a high pitched whine that lasted 5 minutes. The AC unit made about 10 different noises per cycle, all of them loud and annoying. The beds are the hardest Ive ever slept on. The walls and ceiling are so thin I could hear every foot step from above us, as well as talking and showering from the rooms around us. Same for the door and window, you could hear everything. Parking exists, which is good, but its cramped and the spots are tiny. Would not recommend this place, the price is not worth it.

Great location to downtown Hollywood. It’s a 10 minute max walk to Hollywood and Highland and the same the other direction for the Hollywood Bowl. We were attending a concert at the. Bowl and it was nice afterwards walking back to our motel rather than fighting traffic back home. The room was tight quarters but we slept comfortably. The staff at the front desk was very polite and helpful. Parking was pretty tight to maneuver around as well. I would definitely come back.

The rooms are spartan but cleans and comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and there is a pool and jacuzzi each with an awkwardly slow medieval looking handi-capable differently abled mechanical dipping mechanism to ensure everyone can enjoy the pool and jacuzzi (kinda like the crane for the shore tender on a yacht but for people). They did not honor our internet reservation price, the taxes are enormous and 20 dollars a night to park. We had 2 motorcycles and they wanted 20 dollars each to park. The hotel is close to a heavyly trafficked road and there is some noise in the room. PSA: I GOT SCAMMED AT THIS HOTEL. During my stay I received a call from the phone inside of my room. On the other end of the phone was the front desk asking me to verify my Credit Card information, I obliged. Turns out it was a scammer on the other end not the front desk.The front desk agent sent a random caller to my room without having to provide any sort of verification, all the scammer needed was my room number to reach me directly. The scammer did not need to know my name, and the front desk agent did not call me before transferring the call to my room. I’m a Platinum Best Western Rewards member and a Gold Member of Hotels dot com since 2015.Short Review: Rooms are all exterior access and an elevator is on site. Checkin was quick and friendly but since COVID, you must use the check-in window and no breakfast is offered. My room was super clean and recently renovated but all the rooms are small at this location. I was upgraded to a slightly larger room with a sofa for being a rewards member. WiFi didn’t seem to really work much even though it was a strong signal. I kept receiving errors of “no internet connection.” It would go in and out. Parking (self) is $18 and stalls are not designed for large vehicles and trucks. Soda machine on site accepted cash only. Smoking area in the rear. Perfect location steps from the walk of fame. I would return in the future.Further reading: This hotel (like most in Hollywood) is a bit loud due to partying guests with sound echoing through the exterior access corridors. It’s only a 10 minute walk to the walk of fame and underground metro subway that connects you to Union Station, universal studios, and DTLA where you can transfer to the blue line to go to Long Beach. I come to LA frequently but I only visit Hollywood maybe once a year. It’s a bit ghetto with some homeless, druggies, and crime. The night before my arrival a teenage girl was killed by stray bullets from a fight on the corner. I advise traveling in groups if you go out at night. This was just a one night stay for me until I continued the rest of my trip further down at a different Best Western in Norwalk. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Hollywood over the years.

I told the manager that he absolutely DID leave it there and asked if the housekeeper would have thrown it away or kept it and I was told AGAIN that there is no way my son left it and I better not accuse his staff of stealing. Also, while he and his friends were there (for 4 nights), the manager was rude and disrespectful to them MULTIPLE times. They were MILES from home and had already had a bad experience with the hotel the booked originally denying them their rooms because no one was 21 and then had to deal with disrespect from this man and his staff. While there, my sons friend tossed a wallet to another friend and it hit the TV and broke it. When they called down to the front desk (immediately) they were told they would have to talk to the manager in the morning. When they did, the manager said it would be $650.00 to cover the cost of the TV and another employee tried to get him to lower the cost because they thought it was too high and he wouldnt budge. When the boys went to the lobby to pay CASH for the TV, the manger was very rude and condescending to them (talking down to them and giving them dirty looks) and treated them like they had purposefully damaged the TV. Also, after the TV was broken and then PAID FOR, a new one was NEVER put in and they had the rest of their stay with no TV!!! These young men are 18 and on their first trip by themselves before college and at least were being honest about what had happened! For them to get treated with such disrespect when they were only doing the right thing is terrible! My son said he was rude to them and acted like the king of a castle their entire four night stay! My. Kumar was not polite to me on the phone AT ALL, and it got worse after I gave him the room number! Now it makes more sense! Not to mention that when I asked Mr. Kumar if there was anyone he reported to that I could talk to, I was told no, that he answers to no one. I will call corporate. What a terrible experience for these young men to have!

The location of the hotel was perfect 5mins walking from the Hollywood walk of fame in Hollywood Boulevard, you can also see the sign of Hollywood that is 10mins driving, and 15mins away from Griffith Observatory with the amazing view of the city. Downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Bel Air and all the beaches are not far away too. As for the hotel, we believed it was better, as a 3 star hotel, with more modern decoration, but still is decent and clean to stay. They provide microwave oven and espesso machine in every room, that is very convinient! There is no roof in the coridors of the hotel, we found it strange! The only thing we didnt like is that they CHARGED us 19.80dollars per day for PARKING and they didnt mention the extra amount while we were checking in! We booked in a different currency so we didnt realise how more they asked at that time! Thats too much!! We paid 100 dollars extra, they could have it free of charge for the clients!

The employees of this property are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they have a lot stacked against them due to the condition of this property. Thin walls contributed to a miserable experience (child continually/purposefully setting off car alarms in the parking lot, party in the room next door). The room itself wasnt well kept. Reeked of cigarettes and weed, stains on one of the bed spreads. There was also a significant flood in the bathroom from a hole in the tub/shower, loud swishing noise in the ceiling, rattling fridge, broken remote. We left 3 hours into our stay after a long day at Universal Studios. We opted to take the loss on money spent and make the long drive home instead of staying at this property.

I happened to stay at the Lowes the night before and an extended business engagement necessitated my stay at the Best Western since there was no vacancy where I stayed.Very much to my pleasant surprise I had a much better experience at Best Western. As a Best Western Diamond Member, I was dissappointed with this hotel. On average I stay at BW 45-60 nights a year all over the country and UK. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST BW I HAVE STAYED AT.Customer service was pleasant.Rooms were very dated and a bit musty. The interior made me feel dirty and uncomfortable. Although the bed had a brand new mattress, it was rock hard. The shower head piping was curved upward and the adjustable nozzle would only point down enough to hit me right in the chin standing at the back of the tub and Im 6 tall. My two boys (8 and 12) had to stand on the back of the tub to shower. Needless to say they were not going to take a bath. The tub smelled clean prior to entering but the overall feeling of the room made it seem dirty.I rarely give out 1 and 5 star reviews as I know it can always be worse and in most cases, it could be better.

I come to LA probably 4 to 5 times a year on Business and always stay at thsi property. The manager and his staff are caring and very helpful. While there is no free breakfast there is an attached restarurant that has a good breakfast for purchase. The rooms are comfortable, internet works very well, matter of fact it works better than other properties I have stayed at. The television also is a nice flat screen TV, the channel options are satisfactory. The water pressure in the showere is also very good. There is a pool but I never have need to use it.

Cynthia is phenomenon in customer service but the over all hotel policy in this particular branch in Hollywood is not proper.We did not request for any room service, and we just gone out for couple of hours, when we came back to the room, the a/c is off, our face towels and hand towel were taken but not the trash. I wasnt sure what to expect from a hotel in Hollywood, but I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. We chose this hotel due to how close it was to the Hollywood Bowl. It made parking and walking to the concert easy. It was nice to just head back to the hotel instead of fighting parking lot traffic and having a long drive home. After check-in we walked across the street to grab sandwiches at Subway and beverages at the little liquor store. The room did have a fridge and a microwave, so we bought additional sandwiches to eat post-concert. The hotel is close enough that one could walk to Hollywood & Highland, but depending on the time of day - Id probably Uber it back. I wont shy away from concerts at the Hollywood Bowl now that I know of this little gem.

This is a very nice hotel with great views of the Hollywood hills, close to Hollywood blvd and all of the attractions and a very nice pool area with hot tub. We stayed in a double bed room that had a microwave, mini fridge, keurig, large TV and built in shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. The staff are very nice and accomadating and were very quick to get us anything we requested. There is also a restaurant in the hotel called Spice. I didnt try it but it always smelled good when coming and going from my room. It only took us around 7 minutes to walk to Hollywood blvd, the mall, chinese theater, bus tour places and all of the cool museums such as Madame Tussauds and Ripleys Believe it or Not. Lots of good places to eat in walking distance too. This hotel is very nice, clean and quiet and I will definitely stay here again when we come back to LA, in fact, I will continue to always choose best western hotels to stay in wherever I go. When searching for a place to stay I noticed that there is a Hilton Garden Inn and a Holiday Inn Express next door which are both considerably more expensive, even the nightly parking fee. I would highly recommend this hotel!

ZERO STARS! This was our 6th stay at this location and was by far the worst ever! New Management/Owners? Phones were locked this time so we couldnt even use our toll-free calling plan to call home or pull messages from our home phone. That was more than disappointing. We couldnt call home and missed an important call regarding a medical test message we needed to know about. We dont make long distance calls while on vacation. We have a pre-paid calling plan so we can use a toll-free number that charges to our pre-paid plan. We couldnt dial out! First time ever this has happened at a hotel where we couldnt dial a 1-866 number! The TV was set to shut off at 60 minutes to save electricity. Real pain in the butt when watching a movie or a baseball or football game to have the TV shut off after an hour and had to turn the TV back on again! The staff were rude and not helpful at all! No smiles or appreciation for our business. More like being treated like an inconvenience. The guy in the mornings was clueless. One would think your front desk staff would be helpful. No, this fella in the mornings didnt know which way was North or South and he said he was not good at that kind of stuff and when I asked where Milner St. was, he said he didnt know, but I found it myself by walking a half a block away. The Manager didnt know why the phone was locked (bull!) and it wasnt fixed until almost near the end of our 4 day stay. To make matters worse the Manager called and woke us up at 11 pm to say the phone was fixed. Who the hell calls at 11 pm!? That scared us as we thought something was wrong at home! The TV was never changed to stop turning off as they supposedly didnt know where the master remote was. The Manager mentioned compensation for this nonsense but didnt come through with that either. Instead, I had to ask at check out if the Manager gave us a discount as mentioned. Was told no he didnt and was given a measly $10.00 off per night from the desk clerk for the inconvenience This was more than an inconvenience! Nowhere near worth the over 175 bucks a night they charge. Will never stay here again. Previous stays here were great, this one sure wasnt. We dont like being treated like a thief at a fly by night motel. We always use Best Western for all of our trips but this hotel does not deserve to use the Best Western name.

But, let me tell you, the location is perfect if you are just looking for a clean place to stay. Easy walking access to all the main points of Hollywood. I would not stay at this hotel ever again the elevator did not work, I didnt feel say I felt as if drug deals were going down outside, a light was on in the bathroom when we got there scared my daughter and I! It noisy, they carpet in front of the refrigerator was wet and there was a pubic hair on the back of the toilet! Will never stay here again cannot say this enough!

Parking is a nightmare I drive an f150 there isnt many places for me to park and once there gone there gone also charged me 100$ extra when what they told me waiting to see if it gets refunded

Bathroom was leaking all night long.Woke up to a soaking wet floor.Management made it seem like they did us a favor for switching the room for our week stay.Attempting to reconcile the situation with management was like pulling teeth; would not recommend based on my experience.

The rooms were small but clean and the bed wasnt super comfortable. The hotel is very close to the Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Boulevard. Overall it was a good experience.

The Hollywood Plaza Best Western rocks! It is perfect when we go to the Pantages or the Hollywood Bowl or just playing tourist. I live in Ventura and it is great to stay there for a week-end get-a-way! It is clean, comfortable & affordable and the staff is very pleasant & efficient!

A great place to stay if you are going to an evening concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Its an easy walk from the hotel. Our room was very clean and they have a small restaurant on the premises that has great food.

Its pretty basic. Not bad and not good. Its a place go to sleep and it works. Rooms are small but hey there is a pool. Dont show up in a big car. Small spaces to park.

Would have given 5 stars but the staff (well one young man) refused to lend us a corkscrew for our bottle of wine. He offered no solutions to our problem so we just walked back to the liquor store and bought one. But still - hotels usually have corkscrews!

Perfect place to stay. Staff are extremely friendly and are eager to help in any situation. Close to Hollywoods Walk of Fame and only a couple of miles from the Famous Universal Studios.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Walked to go to the Hollywood Bowl. I stayed three different times when in LA. Excellent staff and a great restaurant.
