Very Nice location with a pool and decent gym. I stayed in the whirlpool room definitely worth the little bit more. It comes with fireplace and jet tub they also had a bbq which was out of propane i presume the hot tub is working the one by the pool. The continental breakfast was great a lot of food quiet location close to the bay area. right across the freeway from a steakhouse and cheesecake factory and the mall it is close to the freeway. Which has its pros and cons but i did not hear it inside my room. Even with the window open overall worth the price had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend and return in the future.

In was SO impressed by this hotel!!!! Its a best western. Not Hilton. But it feels like a Hilton!!! Very cozy rooms in a great location. The free breakfast is a great little perk. Actual hot food in a sit down restaurant on premises. Rooms are clean. Property is well kept. I would highly recommend!

The property is beautiful, with a vintage-looking facade. Inside the rooms are very nice and modern. All the amenities worked as expected and the bed was huge and comfortable. Even though its located near the highway there was no road noise in the room. There are individual patios with tall privacy fences and trees if you like to sit outside. They are pet friendly. The front desk staff could not have been nicer or more helpful, making sure that I had all the discounts available. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

Loved the huge pool, even tho it wasnt heated! Spa is out of service, that was disappointing. Breakfast is free and pretty darn nice. All the workers here are really nice and considerate and helpful. Clean place that is a bit outdated but still a nice quiet place with a great, safe location.

The room I got was not maintained and smelled strongly of cigarettes, so much I booked elsewhere rather than staying for two nights. Hotel was unhelpful in getting a refund for the second night I didnt stay.

Wife last stayed here 5 years ago and she felt as though the property didnt appear to have received much TLC since then. Room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast, which was included in the price was average at best. Limited selections. They quit serving breakfast at 9:30 am which was fine for us but the staff made it very clear that they closed at 9:30 and basically shoved us out the door.

This is a no frills hotel. I will say that the staff was very kind, front desk was lovely and the cleaning ladies were attentive.The rooms are run down and the whole property could use a makeover. The jacuzzi outside has black sludge in it making it unusable. Location is great though.

Love this place. Ive stayed here since I was just a kid. Hands down the Best Best Western Ive ever stayed at. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay. With the court yard and the Olympic size swimming pool in the middle of it all. It has a super relaxed atmosphere that hasnt changed over the 30 years Ive been coming here. Highly recommended 5 stars all day long.

Very disappointed. We stayed here for two weeks and the reason I chose this hotel was for the hot tub, and the whole two weeks the hot tub was not working. I inquired with the manager about it and she stated we are waiting for corporate to get someone to maintain it which translates to me as we are doing nothing about providing a hot tub for our guests. Two weeks and nothing. Very disappointing.

The room was very clean and nice. The beds were very comfortable. The gentleman who checked us in was very polite and explained everything it great detail.. They serve breakfast at 630am and they have a lot of great choices. I will definitely be staying at this establishment again next week when I come back for work.

Nice little inn. Good location, in new development area, shopping mall is on the other side of the street. Room is comfortable. Breakfast is ok, they have people to serve hot stuffs behind a counter, self service on cereal/coffee. It seems they bought a huge restaurant by their lot and make it their dinning area, Parking is bad, space is small and can hardly have enough space for everyone who stay. They ask us to sign waiver on car damage/break-in which made me nervous, it means there is problem in the area

Conveniently located to access lots of activities in the area. Couldn’t hear much noise from neighbors or room keeping which is good. I think this hotel provides good value.

This was the first time here and not my last. The staff are over the top nice and it was in a very convenient place for me to doy work. There is a HUGE heated lap pool; which you rarely see, and a hot tub, but unfortunately, there was construction nearby and both were not heated. Its a very unconventional place. Breakfast is included and even their system for that was unusual. You order the hot food (eggs, bacon, and potato hash) from the server, but everything else is self serve. Unfortunately there wasnt much I could eat because I dont eat carbs, but the eggs and bacon were delicious. They use a very large dining room and I asked if it was a restaurant for lunch and dinner, and they said no. Seemed like a waste of space. The lobby looks like an old ski lodge--fireplace included! Overall, I enjoyed my stay and hope to return soon.

When we are on this side of the Bay it is great to visit Sausalito and Tiburon also. Freeway on ramp is right out your door!!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff is friendly and helpful. I used the business center and they have one of the best breakfast selections I’ve had. I was in town for my dad’s surgery and the hospital didn’t have a waiting room so the family gathered in the lobby and outside lounge area at the hotel to wait and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere. There’s a shopping center across the street with many food choices and a gas station nearby. It was right off the freeway and made it very convenient for getting to the hospital for visiting. (It was 15-20 minutes from Kaiser) I would definitely stay here again for leisure. They have a really nice pool & miniature golf.

PROSFriendly, accommodating staff. Best Western is one of the few corporate hotels who is making a real effort to communicate consistently with their customers. They are, from my experience, responsive and responsible. Everyone working at this hotel is to be commended for a job well done, including the manager. They keep the place up, as best they can, and are truly hospitable. Five stars here.The pool is terrific, though understandably busy on summer weekends. The breakfast has plenty of options and the people working in the breakfast room are saints. The common areas and rooms (we had two) are kept clean and tidy. Not easy as this is a large, five acre compound with lots of rooms. Its also an older property and all that goes with it.CONSIf you are disabled, keep reading.In spite of offering #ADA rooms, this is likely not the hotel for you. The two #ADA rooms we booked were at the very back of the hotel (Room 134 and 135) as far from the pool and breakfast room as possible. Parking for the rooms is also some distance from the actual rooms themselves and requires you to traverse along narrow corridors, past many rooms opening directly onto your path (and onto you, if you happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time) In front of the so-called #ADA rooms, there are three very steep steps (photos attached) which could be dangerous for disabled persons and guide dogs.Additionally, the floors in the two rooms mentioned here are uneven, with a jolting hump between the area with the shower and toilet, leading to the outer sink. This is a trip hazard for anyone with mobility issues. The rooms were clearly not designed for disabled people. There was no place for a wheelchair, the furniture was arranged the same way as all the other rooms I saw. And while I noticed some rooms had attractive, wood or lino flooring, our rooms had badly stained carpet no amount cleaning can save.The only thing that made the rooms suitable for some disabled people is the roll-in shower. Alas, a roll-in shower alone does not make a hotel room fit the disabled. I wish more hotels understood this.

Wow! This Best Western exceeded all our expectations. We stayed here under a wedding block, and I was impressed by the amenities. The pool is huge and there are two hot tubs. There are rocking lounge chairs near your room so you can look out on to the expansive courtyard with picnic tables and a basketball court. They even took over the restaurant next to the them for the complimentary breakfast so there is plenty of space for large parties.The rooms were typical for a Best Western but everything else was not. I took one star off because the staff were pretty grumpy when we asked if we could do an early check-in.

Had a pleasant 2 night stay. The facility is dated but kept very clean. Beds were cozy and front lobby is beautiful. Hotel looks like a converted apartment complex. Breakfast was in a building that wasnt super convenient from our room location, and we ended up not eating on site. Those with courtyard rooms would be closer to the breakfast area Front staff were kind and we felt very safe. Hotel is located across the street from a shopping center with restaurants and stores including grocery. It is right off the highway but we did not hear any noise from cars. Easy drive to the city for sure. We would stay there again if in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Corte Madera this past weekend! The family suite easily fit our family of 5, and we appreciated having a mini-fridge available as well. The pool was really fun for the kids, and we all slept very well. It was very quiet despite being close to the freeway, and the beds were very comfortable. Excellent communication before we arrived, and we really appreciated being able to check in an hour early. The hotel was very convenient to stores and shopping as well. We would love to stay here again when in the area!

Can you say Bargain and Fab Location? Our gang are really big Best Western fans. The properties are consistent clean and well-managed - as a rule. This particular site is outstanding! Location is superb... And the staff were easy and delightful to work with. We were blown away by the quality of the rooms. Love the hot tub, love the trees and garden aspects. We dined across the street most nights. Had to go into San Francisco for doctors appointments and love the fact we could simply cross the Golden Gate Bridge, have the appointment, and scoot back over the Bridge to quiet, less expensiveMarin County. Did I mention free parking? See if you can find that in San Francisco?!

Robes in the room were a nice touch. The hot full breakfast was good although the cut off time was a bit early (9:30am). A reasonable charge for having a dog was great. The street noise was noticeable when outside but quite in the suite. The atmosphere was nice outside with trees and bushes and our room was private even though it was next to the street. It could use a little updating, but it was ok. The location was very good for us; we had a good stay. We will stay there again.

The rooms were clean. The amenities were reasonable. The morning breakfast was better than expected as far as variety goes. The location is ideal. However the parking is an absolute nightmare if you do a late night check-in. I highly advise getting in and getting a parking space before 2030 hours or 8:30 p.m.I had no real complaints with the hotel staff either at the front desk or the cleaning. The rooms are clean the lighting more than adequate. The beds were neither too firm nor too soft though I didnt much care for the blanket on the sheets. They have a square pattern that kept waking me up due to a tactile sensation that was odd.They do have a 10% AAA discount. The room rates are comparable to those in the surrounding area.

Overall a pleasant experience for my mother and I during her hospital procedure in San Francisco. Much better with free parking than staying in San Francisco! Wish I could have used the pool or spa, I would have liked a regular coffee pot in the room and/or a small fridge but the pod type worked okay and lots of ice helped keep some of our leftovers cold for awhile. Great overall experience!

The Best Western Corte Madera Inn is a very pleasant and friendly place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it. It is an older property, but whoever did the renovation on it did a wonderful job. My room was spacious and very homey and pleasant (which was pretty important since I was there for 6 days!). I loved the balcony, and the lovely view out over the pool area to the coastal mountains in the distance. The Inn has really beautiful grounds with many big trees and carefully tended walks and flowers blooming. The grounds are pretty large, so be prepared to do some walking (to breakfast or the lobby) if your room is toward the back of the property, as mine was. They have a HUGE, well tended pool with lots of places for people to sit (the biggest pool Ive ever seen in a motel/hotel situation!). Their staff is excellent, and they go out of their way to accommodate their guests and to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It must rub off, because other people staying there seem to be quite friendly too. I would definitely stay there again if I happen to be in the area!

This is a great hotel for the price, great value. Its easy to find, has restaurants nearby, the staff is very friendly and professional, and the breakfast was very good. This is a very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a chance to talk with the manager and he was accommodating. My room was tidy and clean. The grounds are beautiful and quite unusual. This is not your standard corporate hotel, which is refreshing. The pool is large and the hot tub was great. My group really enjoyed the fire pit at night. The free breakfast was pretty standard fare, nothing exciting, but substantial. Id say this hotel provideds excellent value for the area.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to 101 and a shopping center with many food options. The staff is helpful and polite. The rooms leave a lot to be desired though. The decor is outdated, doors, walls, furniture are old and patched, re-caulked or re-painted many times. The room was clean enough, but the carpet felt a little scummy and was constantly wet in one spot (not near bathroom). The bed is lumpy and caved in the middle, we didnt sleep well. The grounds are well kept and pool in particular was pretty awesome. Huge and deep (like 10 feet deep). The hot tub was set way too hot to be comfortable, almost dangerous hot. I think we will try another hotel next time.

The water was taking awhile to get warm so the bottom floor they werent booking but the suite I wanted was on the first floor so they had a maid wait to see how long it took for your water to turn on(20 min) then called me to inform me access see if I still wanted the room(which I did) it was so nice! Nice place, with a good location.Positives:Comfy beds, large rooms, nice pool, grocery store and restaurants across the street. Quiet even though it is near a highway. Breakfast was good and plenty of places to sit and eat.Negatives:Outdoor pool is not heated during certain times of the year. We couldnt use it because it was too cold. No microwave in the rooms with kitchenettes. Tap water didnt taste right, so bring bottled water. The Deluxe Buffet breakfast was actually much smaller than described. It is sufficient though, just not as many options or as good of quality as other hotels that offer a similar layout.

Weve stayed here for years. We stay due to location. I also love their pool area, And grounds amenities. The rooms are dated and in need of a renovation. Dust, cobwebs, and dirty tub were issues during our latest stay. But the beds were comfortable and linens clean. Also no microwave in a 2 bedroom suite. We heard a lot of noise from our neighbors. Breakfast was okay. No bread options to go with eggs. Staff was over all very friendly. Exercise room was closed, which was disappointing for me. Close to plenty of dining and freeway access. A solid, affordable option in marin.

A very basic hotel with pretty old rooms which were clean and well-kept nonetheless. The service was really impressive though, from delivering coffee pods to my room within minutes to very quick assistance with a maintenance problem. The hotel could do with an elevator, or even a porter to assist guests with heavy luggage, even if its a paid service Id happily take it up.The laundry room was great - you dont have to buy your own detergent (like I did) - there are dispensers with detergent and fabric softener which are reasonably-priced.

Conveniently situated, attractively adorned with roses and poppies, well-kept by friendly staff. The breakfast was generous and the room facilities were fine. For a person in a wheelchair, the roll-in shower was excellent. However, it was remarkable that the ADA-compliant rooms were literally the last rooms in the large complex. Therefore, it was necessary to slog in a wheelchair about 1/4 of a mile on a route encircling the entire complex to reach the breakfast area and the pool. The only shortcut available had steps--too bad there was no ramp there.It would be advisable to have a restroom in the pool area, as people have to go back to their rooms to relieve themselves. This is especially impractical for children and people in wheelchairs.Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay in this sunny locale.

We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is gorgeous, very vintage but loved the decor. The breakfast was amazing. The room was nice, bed was comfy. We were very impressed with the staff. They were all so kind and helpful. They recommended a few places to visit and where to eat. The shuttle was a very big help! This was our first time visiting San Fran and it was amazing! We plan to visit this year again and we plan on stay at this hotel again. Thank you guys for making my birthday weekend pretty great!

The breakfast is wonderful and you have so many varieties. When I was there, there was construction however it did effect the quality of staff service or the room quality. The Best Western Corte Madera is pleasantly deceiving. While on first glance appearing to be a traditional American motor hotel, all it shares with those establishments is architecture. The lobby is modern, well appointed and upscale. The staff are pleasant, courteous and helpful. All that being said, its the rooms that really exceed expectations. I stayed in the executive wing, which is a separate building a few yards away from the main building, sharing a common parking lot.The room was significantly larger than expected. While the decor was a bit dated, the king-sized bed had a wonderfully comfortable mattress and mattress topper, the sofa and chairs were tasteful and well maintained, the climate control system was modern and looked to have been recently upgraded, and the bathroom, shower and sink were spotless and perfectly functional.The hotel is situated across the street, literally less than a five minute walk from a mall. I had two excellent meals at the Pacific Catch restaurant, and would go back. The proximity is convenient and eliminates the need to drive everywhere.All in all, I have no problem recommending the Best Western Corte Madera!

This was my second stay at this great hotel. The first was for pleasure, this was for a conference. Everything was clean, easy to find, the grounds well-maintained, breakfast was delicious, room was quiet and warm. Huge disappointment and waste of money. Its summer, but the air conditioners have a governor on them, so they will only stay on a few minutes at a time, I was miserably hot the whole time, could not sleep because of it the first night and ended up having to buy a fan for the next day and night. The water pressure is so low in the shower that I could barely rinse my hair of shampoo and the Free deluxe breakfast was a joke. It seems that the hotel chain is cutting as many corners as they can to stay afloat but the customer is going to suffer for it. We paid $500 for a two night stay but this hotel chain is no where near a high end hotel. We have spent Much less on much higher quality rooms in the past. The two good things I will say is that all the staff are EXTREMELY helpful, kind and professional, and the bed was the Most comfortable I have slept on EVER.

When booking my accommodation for this trip, the Best Western in Corte Madera was the top of the list, but only because the other two places in the area rank lower. That said, I was extremely pleased with the customer service and facilities. The breakfast was alright but nothing to write home about. My room, an executive king, was much better than I was expecting, and I often forgot I was in a motel. The bed was wonderful and every is recently new. Im not sure when BW renovated this place, but it shows and its welcome. The one glaring issue I had was the noise. I made a reservation on best Western online on March 5 at 1 AM. The reservation reflected checking in on March 5 and checking out on March 6. I am a diamond club member. I checked into my room at 1:30 AM and at 11 AM I had a knock on the door asking me to check out or pay for another night. The person that knocked on my door was extremely rude and presumptuous and when I spoke to the person on the desk I feared know better. I was asked to leave on a day that I was supposed to check in and that blows my mind. I will never stay in this property nor will I ever recommend it to anybody else ever again. It is a safe area, but still has a Motel feel. You can make a nice trip out of going to the park in the morning, heading to the beach, and then coming to this place for the night. I got the impression hat the housekeeping staff took pride in their important work. We had an excellent experience with Corte Madera Best Western. We used the hotel as a jumping off spot for a visit to San Francisco (by ferry). That proved hassle-free with the free shuttle to the ferry dock and reasonable hotel price for the area. Their buffet breakfast was pretty standard, but the breakfast space was huge, by comparison, which allowed for a much better and more relaxed breakfast experience. Most importantly, we did not have a place to park our vehicle while in the city. Hotel staff suggested we park it where they could keep an eye on it, and they did-so at no charge. Staff here is terrific. They are always willing and able to meet our needs. We come to this area frequently for medical appointments for my husband. Yesterday when we checked in the front desk employees immediately came out to help him when they noticed him struggling.The rooms are clean and neat and we appreciate having the refrigerator. The breakfast each morning is a giant plus! The grounds are so pretty - my husband enjoys sitting out by the firepit in the evenings.This location is perfect...just minutes to the Golden Gate bridge and UCSF VA Center. I was in the Bay Area for a Doctors appointment. This site was chosen for the convenience of being close to San Fran without paying the price of being in San Fran. Access to HWY 101 in morning traffic was easy. This is the best by far Best Western I’ve stayed in. The staff were great and even upgraded our room for being a rewards member for free. A doctors visit stay was transformed into a beautiful evening with my wife because of the generous and professional efforts of the staff. The breakfast area is the only area that was standard and did not live up to higher standard of the main facility. Overall it was a good value and experience. Thank you!

We recently stayed at the Corte Madera Inn while on a holiday in the San Francisco area. We were very impressed with the property. Corte Madera Inn has easy access from and to 101 South and is very close to all that Sausalito has to offer. I was initially concerned that traffic noise would be a problem but Corte Madera is situated on an oasis of trees, shrubs and flower beds surrounding a fantastic swimming pool. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. After night of sound sleep we enjoyed an excellent breakfast buffet. I highly recommend the Best Wester Corte Madera Inn.

Stayed June 1st thru June 8th 2019 in the Executive King room. Everything was immaculate. Had a small fridge and coffee maker. We asked for a microwave and it was there in an instant. Bed was very comfortable; plenty of supplies, and fluffy white towels exchanged as you needed them. The free breakfast was much appreciated with several choices everyday. The waffles were exceptional. Fresh fruit was plentiful as well as juices, yogurt and small pastries. All food and eating areas were always kept clean. Recycling was easy. Office employees were so helpful and friendly (Kyle, Hugo, Christina) and very knowledgeable about area shopping, religious services and also the free shuttle to the ferry dock Even though it was located near busy roads, it was always so quiet Never even heard the people next to us..We would go back in a heartbeat if it wasnt so far from New York Thank you BW for a delightful vacation experience

We stayed here because I wanted to get a ferry across to San Fran stay this side of the bay so we could drive up North easily without doing the Golden Gate. I swam in the large pool each morning, heated and clean. We also used the Spar just off the car park until about 10pm which made a change. Across the road is a shopping centre with shops, restaurants and a Safeways. The ferry to San Fran runs from Larkspur which is easy to drive to and parking free.

This is definitely the best hotel in the immediate area but not worth the high cost. We saw a few rooms before booking with a group for our wedding. Rooms are clean but look like they were decorated too many years ago and smell musty. The night of my husbands bachelor party he returned at 1am and his key did not work. He had to go back to the front desk multiple times, never worked, and was told he could not knock loudly because it would disturb other guests. He didnt want them to call the room and startle me but after an hour the front desk person called me without his permission and said your husband is trying to get into the room and hes very upset and she hung up on me. They never figured out why it wasnt working and we received no apology or compensation for this terrible inconvenience 2 nights before our wedding.

We accidentally arrived a few hours earlier then our check in and the staff was amazing at getting a room ready for us with no extra charge. The whole place was wonderful. Two really hot spas to relax in after our 9 hour traveling. Very neat and quiet rooms. Complimentary breakfast every morning with eggs bacon sausage hash and waffles, coffee and teas, milk and cereal bar. The corte Madera town square is within feet of the hotel with tons of fun shops and convenient stores for all needs. Also the freeway is right there too for very easy travel around san francisco. The rooms interior was exquisitely done with tremendous eye appeal but when in the room the awful smell was incredible. I dismissed it and opened the (3) windows thinking that airing it out would do the trick. I then jumped into the shower and found a mans trimmed mustache in the windowsill...e I would then lay on the bed and find that it was so soft I sunk down in the middle. Later, it started getting cool so I closed one of the windows and found the stink in the room to be overpowering!! How many dogs had been in that room that were not bathed??? I can only imagine! I was not able to sleep because of the stinky carpet in room #251 and I paid a little more then $230 for this miserable experience. This roo3was equivalent to putting a party dress on a skunk! Do yourself a favor and drive a couple extra miles and stay at the Embassy Suites in San Rafael.

We had to change our reservation 2 times and they were wonderful and very accommodating even though we made the original reservation through a third party. We were told by the third party that we would lose our money so I called the Best Western Corte Madera Inn directly and they honored our reservation and let us change the dates. The staff were wonderful and the manager called us at the promised time. This motel is in a great location with tons of shopping right across the street and in close proximity to great restaurants. It is very close to San Francisco at 1/3 of the price you would pay in the City. We always try to stay here when we go to San Francisco. Thank you for another great say! 5 Star!!!!

Hotel was very busy due to the wild fires, am sure it would be an excellent place to stay, good facilities with outdoor pool and hot tubs. Bed very comfortable and our room had a balcony which was nice. Our shower tap broke though and they werent able to fix it so we checked out early. Also breakfast pretty much ran out 20mins ahead of the close time, so get in early if you want to eat!

The Best Western Corte Madera Inn is the perfect choice when visiting the Bay Area. Its an easy ferry ride into San Francisco, eliminating the hassle of driving (parking) in the City. The hotel offers a courtesy shuttle from the hotel to the ferry terminal. The property itself is conveniently located across from the Town Center mall and a Chevron gas station. Its location also makes it easy to get to Sausalito, Marin Headlands, and the vineyards in Sonoma and Napa.The guest rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Not the Ritz Carlton, but well above average. The lower level rooms facing the garden/patio/pool area are nice, with outside chairs on each porch.The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This is the only place we stay when visiting the Bay Area.

I requested a roll away bed, it was in such bad condition you could see the springs through the mattress covers. It sunk in the middle. Clearly not suitable for a guest. I asked for a better one, the next one was held together with a bungee cord. There was not breakfast because of Covid, completely understandable, the coffee pot in the room did not work, I went to the front desk at 6:00 am to ask for another, the gentleman said he would send one immediately, that never happened at 8:00 am I called the desk, finally 8:30 am I got a working coffee pot. We have been staying here about 4 times a year for the past 3 years as my son is getting treatment at UCSF, we got back from a difficult appointment I went to wash my face, grabbed the face towel off the rack and it was a stained, torn, ratty cleaning cloth. This visit was unacceptable. These issues can’t be blamed on covid. It was poor customer service and employees not caring and paying attention.

By the recommendation of the front desk our room type was changed and it turned out that we went from a upgraded room with a fireplace and jetted bathtub to a very old suite with a terrible layout, bathroom at the front door, full size bed in a tiny room, living room with no place to eat. the toilet even overflowed and if it wasnt for my husbands quick action in turning off the main water valve the whole suite would have flooded like it did next door. when i asked to have a room change the answer i received was well well put in a request in but there isnt anything else. i would not have put you into that room, its one of the worse rooms in the hotel

I thought the pool was too cold but they say its heated to 80, so if you tend to need a really warm pool or get cold easy its not for you. The weather in Corte Madera hovers around 70 ish in summer. Convenient to San Fransico. Except delays when coming back over golden gate. In house laundry was nice as well.

I have put relatives up at 3 hotels in southern Marin County, Ca. (Holiday Inn Express, TraveLodge, and Corte Madera Inn/Best Western.) The Best Western is, hands down, the best value for the money AND the most beautiful and comfortable. Terrific friendly, competent, helpful, happy staff. King Courtyard rooms have beautiful tranquil views looking onto enclosed private grounds and an Olympic size swimming pool with hot tub and weight room; mature trees hosting nesting Night Herons and other birds; flowerbeds; a nighttime outdoor fire feature; a little putting green; & a basketball hoop/mini-court (!). Many rooms have little patios with wicker chairs looking towards the pool. Think of it as a modestly-priced resort and spa, not a motel. Dont be misled by the nearby freeway. You dont hear a thing. Just make sure you get a COURTYARD room, I wouldnt recommend the ones that look onto the parking lot or street, and that includes the suites. Full hot breakfast. Or walk across the street to the Town shopping center with stores, Safeway, Rite Aid, and coffee shops, great restaurants (Il Fornaio, Pacific Catch, Peets. Strange thing to say, but Town is my favorite shopping center ever -- like an Italian hill town.) Bottom line: if youre staying in southern Marin, I dont think youll find a better combo of value plus an oasis of calm unless you want to pay double or more and stay at one of the Acqua properties or the Mill Valley Inn in downtown MV. If you love to swim youll be in heaven, especially in the summer. I dont want to oversell this place, but I really think its terrific. I put my brother up here for Xmas and felt no guilt about not having him in my (too small) home. I discovered it because I belonged to its now defunct swim club for locals. Nobody paid me to write this!

From the moment i walk into their lobby I know that I can let go snd everything will be just perfect. They have struggled for years with managing breakfast. They got it right.
