Wow.... they renovated the hotel, and its absolutely gorgeous. Our room is huge. It has everything - microwave, frig, table & chairs, big screen TV, large bathroom with roomy shower/tub, kitchenette, closet w/extra pillow, ironing board, hairdryer.It is so comfortable and quiet. There is the bowling alley connected, they also are connected to the Village Cafe, plus they have their own complimentary fresh made breakfast with many choices.I will definitely return.I stayed with my boyfriend on the solar eclipse weekend.

We had a great experience staying here. Everyone on staff was amazingly helpful and kind. We stayed for 4 nights. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but that’s perfectly fine. The breakfast was delicious. The women working in the dining area were also wonderful. This was a great “home base” for our trip. We definitely plan on staying again when we return to Cali.

The service and cleaniness of this hotel was a delightful surprise! I travel a lot and stay in hotels of varying quality from Best Westerns to Four Seasons, and I have to say that this BW exceeded my expectations! Every staff member I encountered was extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean. It’s also one of the few hotels I’ve stayed in since Covid where they cleaned the room, made the beds and changed the towels during my stay. I will definitely recommend the hotel to friends and stay here again myself when I visit family.

Probably one of my best stays in Los Angeles. Great helpful staff, extremely clean room and bathroom. Nice breakfast and free and convenient parking. The Orange Metro Line is several minutes walk away and plenty of lunch and dining options in nearby malls and strip malls.

The general manager was absolutely awesome! The breakfast bar is top notch, always a plus when traveling with two teenagers. The pool and jacuzzi were more than we expected nice warm pool and hot jacuzzi in the evening.

Nice placeI liked the fact that they served actual real breakfast. Im talking about sausage, eggs, cereal, French toast fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, coffee, tea, water, etc. The service was exceptional( the ladies work hard) - tip them, please!!!My favorite part was soaking in the tub. With my medical condition, it helps when I can soak and just relax - de-stress myself.They have a pool and jacuzzi if Im not mistaken. I just didnt want to go out and get bit up by mosquitoes (you know they are on the prowl right now in the Valley..Guuuudddd Jesus!!! Its like connecting the dots on your body.But overall, this was a nice little getaway for the weekend.My only suggestion is that the hotel looks into sealing the tubs a bit. They have some cracking going on, and you know what that will mean later on down the line. Big mold issues...if not addressed.Other than that, I have no complaints.

The only reason its a 4/5 is because it was really pricey. But it is pride month. I stayed two nights.The room was very clean and smelt nice. It didnt have a stale smell, which was a nice surprise. The view wasnt great but it was an inner room overlooking the spa/pool area.The bed, bedding, and pillows were great. Very clean and smelt clean.Lots of goodies in the bathroom and the brand of shampoo and conditioner contracted with best Western actually made my hair soft, so that was a nice surprise. I normally dread washing my hair in hotels, and always forget my own, but it smells amazing and was decent.The staff was absolutely 10/10, everyone was kind, helpful, and willing to offer advice on what to do and where to go, restaurants, etc.The breakfast was a full breakfast with plenty of options. And the breakfast room was clean and nice.If you need a place to stay thats a little out of the hussle and bustle, this place is perfect.

Very clean rooms. Smelled like it had just been cleaned. Not musty or stale. The lady at the front desk was awesome. Very friendly and courteous. My wife and two kids stayed the night but there were only two towels in the bathroom. When I requested two more they were promptly given to me with a smile. Overall a great experience and a very pleasant stay. Id recommend this place to anyone who needs a hotel in this area. Keep up the good work and thank you for making the night easy to enjoy.

My first time staying here. Definitely enjoyed it. Room was super clean. The bed was so comfortable I had a good nights sleep. Breakfast buffet was delicious . Hot food was available (eggs, bacon, waffles) Staff is great, very helpful. Will come back in the future. Just FYI, theres a $200 (cash or card) deposit for incidental charge but you get it back when you check out. Just wanted to say that because its included in the website description. Thank you!

Anyone looking for a small hotel north of Los Angeles; this is it; one of the best small hotels we have ever stayed in!! Everything is exceptional from the cleanliness of the room to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The beds are super comfortable and the breakfast was great! Had the Pleasure of Staying at this Best Western, we were in town for a very Sad occasion, however the Night Staff and Morning Staff was Top Notch! Very attentive and thoughtful of our needs. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast staff was Lovely and very accommodating. I’d Love to give a shout out to Shay, Ray, Alex and Carlos at the front Desk! Oh and I don’t want to forget about Shay’s Very Sweet Mum who served us all a wonderful Breakfast and even gave my hubby extra Bacon lol! The staff is friendly and went through all the options to get us a discount (we used AAA) also its connected to a bowling alley and arcade with a bar and restaurant so we didnt even need to leave the parking lot! had a blast

The room was clean, the staff are friendly and helpful.But we were thrown off by the 200 dollar deposit we didnt know about since it wasnt on the website for this place. That only thing that irked me. But we got the money back at check out.The breakfast dining area is very nice, staff was nice. The food is very good fresh!lot of options too! Ill start off by saying the hotel is a little dated, but dont let that turn you away. Theres a great breakfast every morning, a bowling alley, a bar, and cafe next door, along with plenty of other options. Its pretty centrally located to most things in the valley and about a half hour from Malibu or Santa Monica. Overall, its was a great stay and I would definitely stay there again.

My room was very clean and nice. The complimentary breakfast was good. They also have a complimentary happy hour from 5 to 6 pm. They serve beer, wine and appetizers. The hotel is located next to a bowling alley. I was given a coupon for a free game and a free drink. There is a cafe attached to the bowling alley. I didnt go in the pool but it is clean. The staff is helpful and professional. I would stay here again.

Nice staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. However, I didnt like how the 2 asain ladies were treating me at the breakfast room. They were so rude and unprofessional towards me, because I asked for seconds. The lady refused to give me service . I was calm about the situation and immediately told staff what happened. The gentleman working at the front desk brought out my breakfast and apologized to me for their unprofessional behavior. That experience alone made me write a 1 star review. I felt completely embarrassed because other guest was inside the breakfast room while this was taking place. I would love to come back in the future and hopefully they would be retrained on how to treat customers.

This is by far one of the best little motels Ive ever stayed at. The rooms are clean and the property is well kept and secured. I was in town for work and felt safe leaving our work trucks outside due to the security cameras and staff. The staff was very friendly Ashley was always on top of what rooms we preferred and always smiling. The continental breakfast was amazing and so is the managers reception. The managers reception included 2 beers per guest and appetizers which are more than appreciated after a day of work. The pool and spa were both very clean. Last thing the motel is connected to a bowling alley, billiards hall, arcade, bar and cafe. This place was extremely pleasant and very enjoyable to visit. Thanks to all the staff for a great time!

When, I travel to California, especially the Los Angeles area, I expect to pay more for for less. So, when I saw the cost per night, I was hesitant. However, after seeing the reviews, I just had to try. I am so glad I did. Looks as though its been newly remodeled. The decor, fresh, modern, and nice. The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. Made me feel very welcome. I was completely surprised by the breakfast area. There were SO MANY choices and fresh options! My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I asked for a room on the back side away from the road and traffic noise. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend you stay here too!

I needed a last minute room and am so glad I booked with this best western location. Rooms were clean, service was great and lots of FREE parking. The continental breakfast was delicious as well. I would like to comment on Ashely who I believe is a manager there but she went above and beyond to handle a billing situation where I was mistakenly billed twice. Ashely was so polite and quick to respond to the situation. She made sure to make follow up calls to see if the issues were fixed or if I had any concerns/questions. So thank you so much Ashely. I will definitely book with them again if I’m ever in the area.

This hotel was very clean, had comfortable beds, and a very warm, friendly and helpful staff! The complimentary breakfast offered a substantial variety of items, including fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, eggs, sausage or bacon, and a waffle maker. They offer a very nice fitness center with what appears to have fairly new equipment, and a very clean laundry area. The pool doesn’t seem to be heated and the hotel is located on a main street, so you do hear some street noise, but it would not deter me from staying here again! It was a nice home away from home.

Was looking for a last minute hotel for my trip to LA and honestly, this is probably best hotel ive stayed at so far. This was almost year ago, but the building were just renewed, everything was clean, comfortable. The staff was extremely nice. It was quiet. The breakfast was amazing. Overall a great experience and im looking forward to coming back! The location wasnt anything to be worried about, it is next to a bowling alley which is great for fun at night. Ok..Im so happy with our 1 night sunday labor day weekend stay not sure where to begin..1st I called when I was 30 minutes out to see if they had a room(s) and they did!! The gentlemen quickly gave me the price with tax and took my information. Upon arrival staff were nice...efficient and helpful. I loved seeing all the masks on.. hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes placed all around. We walked into our room upstairs and it was sooooo clean..no fingerprints...no stains...not a crumb!!....bedding was plush comfortable and clean..the Air conditioner worked amazing especially for being 104° that day. There was ample parking and we enjoyed the pool. Morning time we enjoyed breakfast downstairs with respects to social distancing the staff served the 3 of us and was polite..quick and pleasant to talk with..We were impressed with cleanliness..decor and staffing. I realized left a travel pillow in the room..when I called they instantly figured out It was me and already had it behind the front desk in a clear bag with my name on it. Upon picking it up approx 7 hours later..I walked in..they ID me and handed me my pillow and said I was waiting for you lol..Impressed!!!We now have a home away from home .We are so glad we found this hidden gem and we cant wait to return everytime we go to LA. The ac smell/ room smell was pretty bad. Made my allergies turn up. Other than that everything looked fine. Checked in with Gustavo and he was nice. Breakfast was included and was warm and good. There for two nights. Newly renovated; very clean room; comfy bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast was not great, but good, with a large choice of options. Bowling alley is connected to the motel, along with a restaurant. There is also a bar & grill, called Lane 33. We were there on karaoke night and had a great time. It is not a Plus motel, but rooms had micro and fridge. A slight downside, hence the 4 rating, was the bathroom. It also had been renovated, but did not have an exhaust fan in bathroom. Would stay there again, and have already recommended it to other family members.

Ashley was a delight from beginning to end!!! I am a best western employee but I promise I’m not being biased at all!! This hotel was great!!! The location was perfect so close to the highway that leads to and from LA, cute and CLEAN room decor!! Super up to date!! I loved how everyday the housekeepers were always attentive and kind and the housemen/maintenance were super on top of everything from what I saw, constantly painting or repairing things not personally because of course our stay was problem free!!! It was my first time in California and I swear I would go out of my way to stay here again!! We unfortunately didn’t go to the bowling alley and cafe but next time for sure!!! I would have given this place 5 stars hands down but while we stayed there, and thats for quite a long time, they were under construction.They have a great staff. They were fully booked or very close to that because they had people that moved out of their houses in Porter Ranch check in temporarily.Breakfast is okay. The management is constantly looking for ways to improve the place and thats a sign of a good hotel.Rooms are clean. Theres a bar, arcade games, pool tables, and a bowling alley connected with the hotel so thats a good way to stay busy while youre there. That being said weekends might be a little busy down on that side of the hotel.They got a diner next door (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and across the street literally walking distance, theres a Persian restaurant with an amazing lunch buffet (if you like kabobs). Theres a Mexican restaurant and a burger/hot dog joint also walking distance away.

Stayed here overnight to visit family, and was very impressed. Staff was very nice and professional at check in and check out. The room was bigger than any standard room Ive seen. Very clean and new with nice toiletries, tv, bed, etc. We enjoyed the spa and the free breakfast. I have recommended it to others who are visiting soon, and would not hesitate to stay again if in the area.

I love this particular hotel...clean, well-kept grounds, friendly staff, wonderful cable (actually works well), internet, and the breakfast room is great! All the usual offerings, fresh fruit, cereals, breads/pastries, hot foods too. The staff in the breakfast room is quick to clean, to offer to get you something, and friendly. The beds and pillows are comfortable too, as I am very picky about that kind of thing. Best Western is a good brand and this one lives up to its reputation.

This hotel was an unexpected gem for a one night stopover in Van Nuys. Everything was immaculately clean throughout the common areas and our room. I always stay here when I’m in LA. The rooms are very clean and service is great. The rooms aren’t so spacious but I still love it. The heater/ac is pretty old though. They have a swimming pool, gym, elevator and breakfast in the mornings. They’re also located right next to a bowling alley. I enjoy staying here all the time

Considering this is right in the middle of a city and right next to a bowling alley, it was super quiet. We slept well! Very nicely appointed. Had a fantastic breakfast, including eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. Pool was even heated in February, though my kids only braved outside temps for a few minutes! Has laundry facilities onsite that were inexpensive. Had an evening snack time that we didnt get to. It is definitely a place I would return to if we need a hotel in the same area again.

Havent been here in a few years. First time back and they have really stepped their game up. I was really impressed. From the time you step in to the lobby everything has been upgraded. The breakfast was amazing. I stay in lots of hotels for work and this one has been one of the best ones by far. Very friendly staff. This hotel has many pluses. Helpful and pleasant staff, quite large and well furnished rooms with comfortable beds. Fridge, microwave, good toiletries. Clean and quiet. A nice hot complimentary breakfast and an evening complimentary drinks and snacks social (Mondays to Thursdays). A gym with free weights and a combo exercise machine in addition to the aerobic machines. Quiet, with internal corridors. Free parking. Free coffee and tea most hours near the reception desk.Outdoor pool (unusable in winter). We received(but didnt avail of) discount coupons for the bowling alley next door.Stragglers beware - breakfast items were removed promptly at 10 am and they like the breakfast area cleared out by 10:15 am, The complimentary WiFi in room worked but seemed a bit patchy at times. There are no special handicapped accessible rooms / bathrooms and the bathroom door is not wide. So getting my Dads walker into and out of the modest sized bathroom required a little manipulation every time. Housekeeping replaced and removed the barely used soaps in bathroom instead of leaving them be and simply adding new toiletries. Slightly surprising in this CA drought time to see that toilet flushes were still the old 4 gallon variety instead of the new water efficient ones. But overall we had a very pleasing stay.

This place is a hidden gem. I was not expecting much from a hotel in Canoga Park, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully appointed. The staff couldnt be any friendlier and helpful and truly sincere. The breakfast will blow you away. More food and more variety of food than I have ever seen in a free hotel breakfast. We arrived late and were greeted by Dee at reception and she was wonderful. We got into the room quickly and she provided us all the information we needed about the amenities of the hotel. We met Rado at reception the next morning and he was help too - we needed to find a place interesting for someone traveling with teens. He recommended the Santa Monica Pier and it was perfect. The hotel was clean, the room was spacious and comfortable. It is about half hour outside LAX and near a lot of shops and local businesses. The breakfast was fresh, a lot of choices and good coffee. We were on the first floor which was a little noisy, but it didnt detract from the comfort. Moderately priced, we will definitely consider staying again the next time we travel to California.

If you want to be away from all the hustle and bustle of L.A. but still be in the center of this hotel. Excellent service and large rooms. This is my third time there and the only thing I was disappointed with this time is breakfast realizing there is corona but it was not convenient to be dependent on the submissions that were there and seemed to have to apologize for anything we asked for (sure it was not burnt but felt unpleasant). One can leave everything in closed boxes and give people the freedom to put together the breakfast they want.

A stellar hotel with rooms that are comfortable and a bed that provides a relaxing experience. The breakfast and evening reception were far superior than what other hotels offer. The grounds are clean and there is plenty of FREE parking. There is a bonus when you stay at this property: bowling, a restaurant, and lounge on the premises. You are even given discount tickets for bowling and drinks at the lounge. This is a fabulous amenity. It is well worth it to stay at this fabulous hotel.

We go out of our way to stay at this hotel whenever we visit our son. The hotel is modern & new. Ashley at the front desk provides a cheerful first impression of the property. Everyone comes from service & our stay is always pleasant. The breakfast room is staffed by wonderful folks -- a cheery way to start the day. We even received a call one late night to let us know we left our dome light on in the car. This hotel was centrally located for the attractions we were planning on visiting (Six Flags, Universal Studios, WB Studios tour); its nice not having to switch hotels when youre away for a vacation.The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly bountiful of choices and extremely clean and organized. The front desk and housekeeping staff were amazing. While we didnt have time to partake in bowling or the arcade, it was nice to know it was there in case we had an early day and needed something to keep the kids occupied. The attached diner was very good if you love greasy spoon spots.If in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed here for 40 days paid for by the homeowners insurance company due to water damage. The room was very nice and quiet, the breakfast provided plenty of choice and the managers snack from 5-6pm Mondays to Thursdays was appreciated when we were able to attend. All the staff at the front desk and the breakfast room were very nice and accommodating to everyones needs. We didnt take advantage of the bowling alley and restaurant on the grounds, but they seemed to be popular.

Let me start by saying I travel for work most weeks, and stay in a lot of hotels. So when I say I was highly impressed with this one, you can trust that I have a well-based opinion.Pros- Clean updated rooms with fridge and microwave, unbelieveably comfortable beds, well-rounded gym with free-weights, the best complimentary hotel breakfast Ive ever had. Theres an adjoining bowling alley, and youre given buy 1 / get 1 drink tickets or bowl games daily.Cons- Its not in the greatest neighborhood, but not dangerous. I went running on the streets while here, and its right up the road from a college, so the appearance of a bad neighborhood seems to be just that- an appearance. This is the only real con I can come up with, and its mitigated by the fact that I felt incredibly safe and peaceful here.Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay, and actually hope Ill be sent here to work again so I can stay again!

We got a room on the bottom floor right next to the hot tub. Was very cool. There free breakfast is better then the usual free breakfast you get at hotels. Monday through Thursday they have the managers cocktail hour from 5 to 6 p.m. they give you a free glass of wine or free beer. And of course its always fun to go bowling or karaoke at the bar.

The ONLY issue I had during my 10 day stay here was a single employee who was allergic to customer service. An older Asian woman whom made everything as difficult as possible. Not just for me either. I witnessed interactions between her and other customers as well that ended badly. Otherwise the other employees are GREAT! Even the housekeepers go out of their way to show you the best customer service possible. The rooms are gorgeous. And theres something about the color scheme around the entire place that is so welcoming! And last but not least, a REAL BREAKFAST. Ive had the displeasure of experiencing many continental breakfasts in my time. This is different. So much to choose from. Pretty good stuff too! Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, apple juice, orange juice, grapefruit, and more! And they run it from 7am to 10am; much more convenient window than other hotels offer. I made sure I was there at 7am daily. Thats how much I enjoyed the breakfast! All in all, this is a great place. This was a rare time I was provided mouthwash, facial towelette and cosmetic kit with cotton balls and Q-tips for FREE. Room had quality bedding and extra pillows and blankets. Little touches in room and throughout hotel like designer waste baskets, upgraded drapery, extra hallway seating and accessories for elderly or if needed. Pool and spa clean and inviting. Pool towels included at pool and my teenagers had fun. Night shift Alex and security were awesome. Definitely felt safe knowing he was observing and rounding on property. Saved the best for last BREAKFAST THIS WAS AMAZING!!!! full service breakfast with made to order waffles. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Fresh fruit, cereal, fresh pastries. Due to my work I spent at list five nights a week going from one hotel to the other and Ill tell you what this one has the best coffee ever, I guarantee you they will not water it down, Maite, the lady that works helping with the food for the continental breakfast she is the best, very polite very sociable, with a big smile, the rooms are okay the one I stayed in smelled a little bit funky but it was okay, now the parking in front of the hotel you got a bowling center there I cant remember the name so its kind of crowded, then on the side of the hotel there is not much space to park so check the picture and youll see what Im talking about, Hotel stuff very helpful and nice.
