This was the fastest, most efficient in-store pickup experience Ive ever had at a Best Buy. Employees that arent busy are quick to help you out so you dont have to wait. This store in particular typically has more stock than other nearby stores, so its a great option if youre trying to find harder to nab items.

I have always had problems with any type of return or exchange with Best Buy. This time it included an exchange for Bose headphones I received as a gift. I wanted to exchange them for a different color and they insisted on charging me a difference for the headphones that were the exact same price the person that bought them paid. I was not aware as to why there was or should be a difference in price at all. The advisor and associate wouldn’t adjust the price to make it an even exchange. I contacted the person that originally bought them and ended up returning them completely. I called customer service to report the complaint and all they wanted to do was have me repurchase them and return to the store that gave me the issue in the first place. When asked if I could receive a discount for the inconvenience, they flat out refused. I took my business elsewhere. Doesn’t help with the language barrier of their customer service hot line with the call center being in south east Asia.

I have been putting off getting a new laptop for months due to not knowing a thing about computers. Jose Serrato at the Salinas Best Buy was absolutely fantastic. He was very patient and answered all of my questions as well as being professional and has a very eager to please attitude. I wouldnt have put it off as long as I did if I new I would receive the outstanding customer service that Jose gave me.

Total tech membership has been made an even better deal once youre a total tech member everything that I know of you buy that is electronic you automatically get a 2-year extended warranty you can also bring in your computer anytime to the computer desk they will do simple things with it or they will build you a computer with all the parts you bring them or change out your parts no charge. The picture is of the computer one of five but they have been building and maintaining and changing parts whenever we want for over 5 years

Nothing but disappointment all the time! after multiple appointments and buying different equipment with nothing done, they just like toying with people because they are lazy and don’t want to work… then they sabotage you by disconnecting the fans in your car so that you don’t have AC, heater or the fan that cools down your motor… then want to say that they have no one there to fix it ! And want me to wait a couple weeks ! NO

Stock here is underwhelming, unimpressive and poorly sorted and displayed. Admittedly, I come for DVDs, Blu-rays, Pops, amiibos and more, but those are all either all over the place, hard to find or just flat out missing and unavailable.They also are now ditching physical media as well. One of the main reasons I visit here is the choice of DVDs and Blurays, so now I have no reason come in anymore. You lost a customer. Congratulations.

Usually busy with enough employees that you dont have to wait too long, knowledgeable staff, friendly enough. For a long time I had posted a 5 star review of this business. That review went from 5 stars to 2 stars upon meeting the store mgr. I had a problem with a cell phone I had recently bought. The phone cost around $100 and I got less than a months use out of it...18 days to be exact. I did not buy the extended store warranty, so I left with a brand new phone and a 14 day store warranty. My bad. 18 days later Im back with my hat in my hand, asking the store mgr if I could get a refund since the phone died after only 18 days. It was a it never hurts to ask situation. I had spoken to a few different employees that day prior to meeting the mgr..and without fail, they all said the brand phone I bought was total junk. That they never recommend it to customers. The manager refused my request that he waive the 14 day store warranty. The guy was arrogant and far more interested in being a jerk than he was in helping me. I went home and demolished that phone rather than send it to the manufacturer for a repair. Theres already enuf garbage lying around everywhere.

Okay so this place has one of the worst customer services. I stood in the tech department line for a good ten minutes before finally someone came over and of course this person was not able to help me and told me to go to the mobile phone department in which I stood for another 10 to 15 minutes I asked the lady who was in front of me had she been out she told me yes but the lady had went somewhere and she doesnt know if they are done talkin or not so I asked the security guy at the front is there anyone here to help out at all he told me the lady was talking to the manager about something and she would be there in a few minutes so I went back and stood for another 10 minutes before finally asking the security as I was going out the door was she still asking a question to the manager and that must be one long question and he responds oh shes is done talking to the manger she is now helping another guest out in customer service I responded really you gotta be kidding me and walked out straight ridiculous how can you as a worker leave your area for that long and knowing someone is waiting for your help why would you go to a completely different department to help out there. Unprofessional and for the manager to allow that makes me wonder how they became manger

Got there with 10 minutes to spare before closing. Couldnt find the TV I found online for a great deal. Asked a really tall young man and he knew exactly where they store the cheaper TVs out of customer sight (in the back corner of top of highest shelves). In and out within 6 minutes, everyone was nice and helped me get out of there real fast.

Came here to pick up headphones and a charger cable while passing through town.About 1/3 of the the items where not stocked on the hangers.When I went to customer support desk I waited 15-20 minutes, I gave up and headed to the register, no one was Ther and I was told to go to customer service again which now had a line. I gave up, dropped my items and walked out.A huge waste of time, staff this place or shut it down.

Placed an online order for curbside pickup. Item was in stock and they had the color I wanted. When I arrived to the store I used the app to let them known was there. There were not many cars in the parking lot at that time. It took awhile for them to bring out the item. The associate was friendly and did apologize for the wait. Overall it was a good experience.

It is a good store but unfortunately there are a few people that take their job for granted. They forget that the person buying the products are essentially paying for their wages. They should take pride in their work and knowledge of their products. Half the time I feel as though I know more about their products and website than they do. Store is clean and organized and that is appreciated. Their in-store pickup is quick and they are normally attentive and ready at the registers. Overall a good store and better than others I have visited in the past.

Whenever I’ve needed to buy anything from here it’s fine, I’m just mad today because when I’d gone in to look at the phone chargers (which is I’m assuming an item that gets stolen a lot so I understand) this pasty lil girl with a headset stood by me pretending to look at them as well when she was CLEARLY watching to see if I stole anything. Loss preventions needs to be better or at least a little more inconspicuous or they’ll continue to UPSET genuine paying customers like me. Then when I asked if she could actually help me look for something *since she was there*, little miss ma’am didn’t even bother looking up at me to reply. She eventually obliged but gross. She had a big forehead too.

The staff here is so cool and helpful. You can tell that the team meshes very well, because the environment is relaxed yet professional! A few team members helped me in the gaming section and in purchasing a new car radio system. Purchasing and setting up an install appointment was super-duper simple! Nice employees. If they dont know an answer they will direct you to someone who will know. Payment plans on everything, but be careful. My first laptop was a payment plan and ended up only paying interest for a couple years. Make sure you can pay it off within the 0 interest period. Some customers dont know how to wait in line to ask a question. Dont be that guy. Be patient.

I did an online order for pickup in the Salinas location and apparently BEST BUY is giving away customers order to anyone. They are apparently not AUTHENTICATING with picture IDs they are only verifying with emails only. Unfortunately I was unlucky and someone compromised my email and was able to give the confirmation code to Best Buy and they just gave them my $1400 Mac Book Pro that I needed for work. The manager in the store says they cant help me to call customer care. I called they told me that they cant help me that it needs to be done at there store because thats the place the order was sent. So no one is helping me or taking the initiative to help. I tried calling back to talk to Mike the Assistant Manager and he says that I need to file a police report. For something that was not even my fault. Nor did I ever receive in my hands. According to customer care. Nationwide all Best Buys are being even more aware and more secure so we are checking IDs with all pick ups So sounds like the manager “Mike” doesnt want to take responsibility of one of his reps giving away a $1400 devise to the wrong person. Seems like they are just brushing me off so they don’t have to deal with it. Best Buy is leaving a sour taste in my mouth, sorry to say.

I bought a new television this morning. Since I’m out of my comfort zone, a friend helped research before I went shopping. The salesperson, Cutberto, was knowledgeable and nice, as were the employees at the store’s entrance. Cutberto suggested a sound bar and sub woofer. I told him I’d call him back later in the day, which I did. Three times. Calls go to a national call center. The first person could not help me because she was not part of the sale. She told me to return to the store. I called back a second time to explain my situation and was left on hold so long we became disconnected. When I called a third time, I was placed on hold until someone could answer. After awhile, I lost interest and hung up. My situation is this: I am recovering from a knee replacement. I do not have a handicap placard, so I need to park near the entrance. ALL spaces near the entrance are reserved for contactless delivery. And? It’s quite hot outside. This morning I walked from the far side of the parking lot, in the heat, and into the store. I’m not willing to do that a second time. And, people on the phone who were not part of the sale don’t have a clue what I want.

Had the part I needed, able to suggest alternatives, benefits. Also, a welcome thing for me... recognized that I needed help, approached quickly to offer assistance, went directly to the needed item without wasting time trying to sell some latest, greatest of the day. I appreciate also being able to make payment in the area of purchase, from the sales person I was dealing with rather than having to wait in another cashier line. Allows sales rep to suggest other cautions, suggestions. Feels more personal than the herd line of some other big stores.

Well the employee turned around and without even looking at the line walked off to help them out. Good 5-10 min wait and he decides to walk off and help them first. Not good customer service. I had to go to front checking lady - and wait while she dealt with other customers and didnt once look at me- to watch another employee walk by who I stopped as he was passing me by and not looking at me either so I could ask for help in refrigerator area.To be fair, the man did help us and go above and beyond looking at different stores to see which one had the freezer we wanted in stock, as well as models that were available for order when ours we were looking for were out of stock and not orderable.He is the reason there was an added star.

When I selected the number to reach the Geek Squad, it took me back to the beginning of the voice message. I tried the other numbers for sales, etc. with the same results. Nothing too special. It is an electronics store. One thing to note however, the employees here were MUCH more chipper and excited compared to other retail stores such as Sears or Walmart.I might have been lucky, but I would say that this is a good store to go to if you want to buy computer parts, especially for replacing parts in a desktop PC. I came here to buy a new power supply, (that is the part in a computer that turn electricity from your house into electricity that your computer can use), and it was a great experience. I asked for help from an employee and they were quick and snappy to respond. Perhaps even eager to help.At the checkout, I inquired about their return policies. Their return policy is not as generous as Amazon, (Amazon is king of retail) but 14 days for if you want to return your item is plenty long in my opinion. Also, the checkout lady was quick answer my questions and I would say very good customer service.I would recommend.

Ive always liked coming to Best Buy because of their customer service but today they lacked in that department. I was in to purchase a modem/router and I was having some difficulty on which one I should get. The thing that kinda bugged me was that at least 2 sales associates walked past me and didnt offer any kind of help. I was in that particular isle for at least 15 minutes looking confused but I got over it quick cause I found what I was looking for. A little acknowledgement goes a long way especially for people like me who have a confused look on their face. But this wont keep me from coming back. Today was an off day I guess you can call it for them which is rare. All in all I still would recommend coming her. Where else would you go? Walmart? No thanks!

Can’t even call for general questions.I placed an order online for store pick up, which stated “1 left in stock, order for same day pickup” and got an email after my order that it wouldn’t be ready until next week. Strange right? I tried to call an hour later so their system can update my order to ask if it really is going to take a whole week or if it was ready sooner, but the automated answering machine is just a hassle to get through, and when asking for customer service representative, I get put on hold for 20+ minutes until I decided to hang up. It was a Saturday so maybe they were just busy. I try again today, Monday afternoon, same exact thing. 20+ minutes on hold and I hang up. Something even stranger? The item I ordered is still listed online as “1 left in stock, order for same day pickup” If it’s not really available, just say so BestBuy. I gave you guys business over Amazon because you “had it in stock” but I don’t really think you ever did. Shame on your deceitful tactics.

I had to wait 45 minutes and asked for help four times before someone came over to help me. The person that was sent to help me could not answer any of my questions or even check to see if they have it in stock. So I left and went down the road to home Depot and found the exact same thing but it was $65.00 cheaper. I would recommend checking out ether places before going in there again. What a waist of time. I work all day and want to spend my hard earned money on a new stove and refrigerator with a good reputation and get treated like that. Ill spend my money where they treat me like its important to keep there doors open. By the way I ended up spending $3872.83 on them.

The only reason I got some help was I saw an employee ( you could tell by his shirt), who was using a cane, he said he was headed to break, but I was also using a cane and was starting to have pain just running around looking for help. Its a good best buy. Some things are overpriced but it offers a lot of tech. The TVs take a portion of the store as well as the movies and DVDs. The rows of movies and DVDs is one of the reasons I often go there. Small game area though if your looking on getting games there.

I am very upset with Best Buy/Geek Squad. I purchased a new washer on April 1st, 2021 to be delivered, installed, and the old washer to be hauled away today, April 7th, 2021. Everything was great. Chris Gutierrez pre-called me 30-45 minutes before his arrival, we did our part clearing a path to the old washer and had space in our driveway to make it as easy as possible for them. He came in for a few minutes, determined a hose was corroded and couldnt complete the install or haul away the old washer. After Chris left, my wife took a pair of pliers removed this supposedly impossible to remove hose to come off with ease and did the install herself in 3 minutes. When I called them to get the issue resolved and my money back for the install, the receptionist on the phone was of no help saying that because the washer was delivered that they wont refund anything for the services that werent rendered. When asked multiple times to speak to a manager, they refused to transfer me. So I told them no problem and would dispute the charge with my bank who were more than happy to assist me. After this experience, I would NOT RECOMMEND utilizing Best Buy/Geek Squad services for installation and hauling away old appliances.

I had an appointment for a Double-Din radio install with video at the Salinas, CA Best Buy location on July 10th. The auto tech, Jim, did not hook up my backup camera with the new radio install and I have been without it since. He neglected to call me to inform me that the backup camera could/would not be connected and just gave me my car back with that missing AND the USB port in the car that connects to the radio no longer working. This port is needed for Android Auto, which is the entire reason I bought the head unit in the first place. So I came out of the install with 2 things not working in my car that were working prior to the appointment. I have struggled to get a redo appointment since. I am very unhappy that I have a safety feature now missing from my car and I dont even have the feature I wanted out of my head unit due to a failed install.This installation was for a 2017 Toyota 86 Special Edition. I went through the Geek Squad Vehicle Fit Guide and purchased every part that it recommended for the install of the particular head unit I bought. This included a USB harness that the installer simply did not use and probably was necessary for the USB port he left not working. A few days after the install, the stores ASM, Mike, callled to explain to me that the backup camera was not connected due to the cars camera being digital and the head units video signal input being analog. He said this could be fixed with another product they sell and some custom work from the installer which would involve splicing a cable. I had specifically mentioned in the comments section of my appointment entry that I would be happy to pay for any missing accessories or services neccessary for the install, which Mike acknowledged when he called me after the failed install. Despite this, Jim failed to call me to inform me that there were any issues and decided to go forward with an incomplete installation when he should have simply consulted me. I would have been fine with either not going forward with the install, or paying for the additional required product and custom work. This product, by the way, does not appear on the vehicle fit guide. (SKU 4630722) I have since purchased this product at the store but I cannot get another appointment to redo the install. Jim should have just added this product to my bill and gotten it done.Since this event, I was instructed to wait until today, Thursday, July 16th to call the store to see if new appointments have opened up, because this is the day the new installer is supposed to be posted. I called the store at 10:00 AM Pacific when they opened, waited on hold for 25 minutes, and was told the scheduler has not been updated and to call again later. The employee could not give me an estimate for when the schedule would be up. I had tried to create a new appointment on the website today prior to calling. I reluctantly created an appointment at the Mountain View store which is over an hour away from me, and the earliest I could get is August 2nd. I did this because I wont be surprised if the Salinas store continues to let me down. Although Id much rather go to the Salinas store 10 minutes from my house than the Mountain View store over an hour away, at the beginning of next month.I have been without a key safety feature, my backup camera, for six days and counting due to a botched installation. This is unacceptable. Best Buy has repeatedly failed to accommodate a redo appointment to fix this error, even after instructing me to wait nearly a week only to, so far today, hear nothing about when I might be able to get this fixed.Update: Jim was able to fix the backup camera but left my dash cam no longer working in parking mode. Took my car to Mobile Audio and Electronics in Salinas. They fixed it quickly and explained that Jim had mismatched 2 color-coded wires which was why parking mode no longer worked. He put red to yellow and yellow to red instead of matching and ran the USB power incorrectly. Mobile Audio and Electronics explained everything and everything in my car works. Go there.

I today had the worst experience I have ever had at Best Buy. I came to purchase a pair of ear buds with my family, thats it. I was ready to make my purchase but my family was not so I decided to go look around. Either this Best Buy designates certain employees to serve you throughout your time at the store or they dont know the difference between a thief and a customer holding merchandise in their hand. While I was looking around the game section I noticed the manager which Ive had unpleasant encounters with before, assisting to a customer in the same isle as me. Right then and there I decided to browse and walk in the opposite direction as her, as I did not want to be confronted by this lady. As I walked away some other co-worker of hers asked me how I was doing today and I answered with great. . . I then headed over to the CDs just to get away and prevent an unpleasant day at Best Buy for myself. After scanning through the CDs I walked towards the samsung phones as that was where I last saw my family. As I walked to the phones I noticed my family wasnt there and I also noticed the shrimpy manager and her co-worker walking my way. I just thought oh great to myself. To my inconvenience, the co-worker stood right across from me as if he was. . . I absolutely do not know what he thought he was doing standing there. I decided to call my family on my phone and ask what part of the store they were and turned the other way. I did not want to look at his or the managers annoying face. I noticed my family were up front near the desk at the exit/entrance doors and walked over to them to let them know I was going to buy my ear buds so we could leave. Once I was in line at the cash registers I noticed a huddle of workers at the front desk, manager and same co-worker I spoke of, included. I dont know if it was all me misunderstanding but if you ask me, I felt as if I was being followed. I dont think they know what good customer service is. As a dedicated returning customer to many Best Buy stores, as many others are, I just want to say that this isnt the first time that this has happened. Ive just have had it with this Best Buy in Salinas. Every other Best Buy I have been to has given me good customer service. I know good customer service. The cashiers and few other employees are always very nice and deliver every time, with smiles. The few others that I wont mention and I already have are always uptight and seem to not enjoy talking to others but their own clan. I dont care to leave any kind of ratings and Im all too bored writing this one but I am so annoyed of these people with their cheap service. I would stop coming to this Best Buy but because there is only one in this city, I have to deal with this. I dont want to go to the next city just to buy. . . (ear buds). The worst ‘jaw dropping’ customer experience ever and probably the lowest customer retention rate!I purchased a Fitbit Charge HR as a Christmas present for my mom in Elk Grove during their 4 Hour sale. After a long, terrible drive from Sacramento to Salinas, I discovered that the item is too small and needed to be exchanged. Considering my mom isn’t tech savvy and me not wanting to make another 6-hour round trip, I went to Best Buy in Salinas as an attempt to exchange the item.While waiting a minimum of 20 minutes in their Customer Service line, my mom decided to grab a large Fitbit Charge HR in a different color. I explained to the rep that I needed to make an exchange, which she then blind-sided me by telling me that there will be a difference of $40 in price. She and her manager mentioned that the item is no longer on sale, which is why I would have to pay full price. Their argument was that the item, regardless of the model, is different by color and size than the one I needed exchanged. Arguably, even if we were to select the same color and opt for a larger size, they would still charge me full price.After my mom, my girlfriend and I took turns explaining how absurd their policy was, as well as their lack of concern for losing a customer, I told them they can refund me my money, as they will NEVER have me as a customer ever again.** I did, by the way, purchase a laptop from this location online for my mom as a prior Christmas present, hence why I will never be their customer again.

I did some comparrisons online and found that they were cheaper but I didnt have the patience to wait for it (it was my only day off and I really wanted to treat myself). So a minute went by, and it quickly turned to five to ten to twenty-five and I was still standing there just looking at the damn thing. Funny thing that its right next to customer service and in direct view of the associates!!! I looked around the desks and aisles to ask for help but they were too busy chatting or laughing it up with coworkers. I ended up leaving but somehow kept waltzing back in and out in hope of catching their attention. They still didnt get the hint even after I returned about 5 or 6 times. I finally saw one that wasnt busy so I asked him if I could get help but he just ended up telling me that it wasnt his zone. Words cant describe the anger they put me through so I just walked out. Probably the best decision I made because I ended up buying it on Amazon for $100 cheaper later that week.Seems they dont learn either. Once in a while I go in to keep myself updated and kill some time while Im at it. Just a few days ago I was walking around the appliances and overheard a couple bickering whether or not to buy a set of washers; after a while they got fed up of waiting at the register and stormed out. By the sound of it, they most likely headed over to Sears (excellent choice lol).I feel bad for the residents of the valley because its been this horrible since Circuit City closed. Its almost as if they stopped caring because theyve realized that theyre the only store on the block that specializes in tech. For me, it all goes back to 2012, where I had an abysmal experience with their car audio installation department (something to do with racial profiling). Do yourself a favor; spend an extra 10 minutes and drive out to the Best Buy in Marina, where they actually talk and care for you, because if you shop here, youll definitely be getting the worst buy.

Store has done a great job managing customers during this time complicated by covid 19. They limit the amount of people in the store, clean tills between purchases and have someone at the front to answer any questions.
