When the heat of summer is creeping into your house, this is the only company I would ever recommend! Bernardinos Air Conditioning is in a league of their own. Bernadinos replaced my heater. Jim is great addressing and taking care of all of my concerns. Carlos and Eric had my heater working like a charm. They also fixed the wires and the wall so it looked amazing hiding ugly wires. Ask for there guys! They are amazing!

Installed a new heater and AC unit in October 2022. Heater was having big issue and did not worked for 3 months with many technician visits to understand the problem. Jim the owner was supposed to replace the defective unit but did not. They find a way to get it run. I let them know that the heater is making a very loud noise for 2 or 3 minutes when starting, it feels like I have a jet engine on the roof. I contacted Jim many times by email and he is not responding anymore, they know this unit has a major flaw and he is playing dead and not taking the responsibility that they installed a defective product that will not last long before beeing changed again. Not trustable!Edit: easy to deny, technician was Erik, Jim the owner came himself twice to see what is wrong. But Jim the owner of Bernardino is no more answering emails because he knows that the system installed is broken and does not want to lose money.

For over twenty years Bernardinos has been servicing my heating/air conditioner unit as needed. I would not call anyone else. Jim is great and so are his technicians. Bernardinos Air Conditioning has raised the bar for air conditioning companies not just in the Los Angeles area, but period. Jim and his team are responsive, knowledgeable, reliable, and incredibly skilled. They replaced our entire air conditioning system and ducts and completely changed the temperature of our home finally giving us control over the often oppressive San Fernando Valley heat. Theyve saved the day multiple times in terms of maintenance and really perfected the system. Among many incredible technicians, I have to specifically commend Art. Hes an AC genius and true wizard at his craft. His maintenance in 2023 made our system better than ever. Hes smart, funny, and extremely responsive. I used Bernardinos to repair one of my AC units which required installing new motor and for maintenance for both units. I was very pleased with Erick who came out to give me an estimate. He was professional, polite, honest, approachable and thorough. I was equally pleased with Jim who was polite, thorough and worked with me very patiently in explaining the the process and exploring options of ordering motor. I have been using Bernardinos for about 4 years now when I needed a new furnace installed. As my house ages and the HVAC appliances that came with it, Bernardinos has been taking care of either replacing units or repairing those that need it. There are 3 separate A/C compressors and furnaces at my house so its a lot. Everything is repaired impeccably, and their service technicians are professional and knowledgeable. Their technician Erick came out the last two calls, and he was very responsive. He let me know his arrival times in advance, took care of everything so I didnt have to worry, and generally did a fantastic job. Bernardinos office is also very well run. They are reachable and do their best to get you scheduled as soon as possible. You guys are great!

Ive been using Bernardinos A/C for maintenance on my air conditioner. This time when Joel came out he noticed a problem with my air filter base and recommended several services to improve the quality Ive been getting from my unit. He explained very throughly and was very patient with all the questions I had. He made sure my concerns were acknowledged and even came out the day of my service to ensure I was fully taken care of by the team! Bernardinosalways does a great job of servicing our two evaporative coolers. All their technicians are very friendly and fair about only doing what I can afford . Ive had them work on my coolers and also install a furnace. We had some glitches during that installation, but over two more visits they addressed all the isues. Their more experienced, older techs seem to be more knowledgeable than the younger guys. Thank you Bernardinos!

We used Bernadinos for a major remodel of my dad’s house in Reseda. They adjusted some ducting, added return air and all new registers, added a new thermostat, serviced the system and installed a new range vent pipe and hood. Their price was reasonable, they were responsive and always showed up when promised and did great work. We were really happy with the finished product.

I live in an apartment building and needed a new air conditioning unit for my apt. So property management called Bernardinos A/C and heating to come over to replace the old air conditioning unit with a new one. Art and his helper ripped out the old unit and replaced it with a new air conditioner. The new one works great and the air even reaches to the kitchen where I never had any cool air at all. Art was friendly and very nice to talk too. He even loved my dogs and my dogs loved him!

My AC went out and I immediately called Jim at Bernadinos Air. They came out the next day, assessed the issue, gave me my options and let me know up front that a part for an older unit (almost 30 years old) could take up to 4 weeks to get. Luckily for me Jim is very resourceful and found the genuine (Carrier) part locally and was able to fix it within a few days. The technician, Ignacio was professional, focused and knowledgeable. He explained everything as the job was going. It took a little longer than expected but he was diligent in making everything work perfect. THANK YOU!! Recently my dryer stopped working. When the repair person came to fix it he warned that I should not restart the dryer without having the dryer duct cleaned as the build up of debris in the duct created the overheating that caused the problem in the first place. He further warned of the possibility of a fire if I did not get it taken care of. I searched Yelp and found Bernardinos Air Conditioning. They were fast, on time, and most of all affordable. My daughter was shocked by the amount of debris removed and we counted our blessings that the lesson had been learned without any serious consequences. I just called again to have them provide the same service for my elderly fathers home. Who knew that we should be doing this on an annual basis..now I do. I highly recommend you call for this service and keep them on speed dial for the annual duct cleaning. Great value and good people.

Ignacio came over to assess a condensation leak from my AC. I’ve had technicians come for this before in the past several years and he was the only one who found the root cause of the leak instead of just clearing the pipe as a short term fix. He explained the problem thoroughly and my options to fix it.Ignacio returned with Ernie on time as scheduled several days later to install a new AC. They were both very professional and efficient, with the added bonus of being polite. They spent time going over with me what they’d done before leaving and told me to call Bernardino’s I’d i notice anything wrong.So far, so good. We had to have our condenser replaced today, and Bernardino’s did a fantastic job. Justin came out today and had it done quicker than I had imagined it could be done, which saved us and our small children from having to deal without AC during a valley heat wave. Raymond came out yesterday to diagnose the problem and gave us a fix to get us through the night. Both were professional, knowledgeable, courteous and on time. We have been using Bernardino’s for years, and have had Justin work in our home on multiple occasions as we have slowly upgraded our system, finances permitting. Jim and all of his crew have always been wonderful to work with, and made what could easily have been miserable experiences with a different company exceedingly pleasant. We’ve had an old AC unit for a few years and have used Bernardino’s services quite a few times when it broke down. Every time they come out promptly and fast, they’re professional, fixing the problem at hand and never doing unnecessary work or trying to oversell or overcharge. Finally, we had to replace our unit and they came out the very next day to replace it. Justin and Joel was the team who came but every single person who I’ve ever encountered from this company has been a pleasure. Justin and Joel came on time, for straight to work and we had a new unit on the roof in about an hour. They are even sending someone later to replace our dirty filters. Amazing service! Wonderful experience with this company. Called many companies because my air conditioning wasnt working as efficient as I would like it to be. Spoke to Jim and liked what he had to say, we made an appointment for the following day. His service tech Sal showed up and looked at my air conditioning. Cant recommend. They dont seem straightforward. Quoted me 26 thousand dollars in repairs to replace all HVAC equipment. When I asked what the price would be to just get the system operational they said they could remove the cost of new ducting.Went to a different repair shop. 300 dollars later, they replaced the freon in the units and some air filters. Said my system was old but in working order. Everything is working fine for now.Bernardinos might provide great service but they may gouge you as well.

Called because my air wasn’t blowing cold. They came out with in 2 hours. My motor blew out so joe took my old fan back with him and came out the next day to reinstall the new motor and also filled the Freon. They also fixed my heater last November. Our AC wasnt working the fan on the compressor unit in the backyard wasnt running called Bernadinos for an appointment. Ignacio was the technician who took care of our problem, he was on time very professional and explained what he had to do and also explained what I should look out for. The system was running good, then Friday night was back to square 1 the fan wasnt working again I called and Ignacio came back. On time professional friendly checked the unit and the furnace the problem led him to the thermostat which ended up being bad he replaced it and explained the problem and did a thorough walk through of the furnace the tower to make sure they were getting full power and running smoothly. Our A/C stopped working on 7/4 the next day we called Bernardinos and Ignacio came out to check it. He found out what was wrong, a motor had stopped working and a circuit board went bad.It took a few days to get the part because it was a weekend and its an older unit but the parts came right when they said they would and Ignacio came back to install them.While installing the parts Ignacio noticed that the circuit board had a problem and told me that the motor might still be good. He installed the new board, tested the motor out and found it was still working fine so he only charged us for the circuit board. These guys are horrible. Including the owner. They replaced an ac/heater last year. Took over a week, sending incompetent workers 5 different times.... They cant speak English, or they are condescending. Cant answer simple questions, etx.Guess what? Just had to call a real company to deal with the ac/heater which has not been functioning for a few weeks nowThe guy is here fixing it now. Said the wiring is not correct! It was a very hot day when my ac went out. Thats when i called bernardinos after searching local hvac companys on google, and i must say they were on point! From the scheduling to the quality of service provided, sergio and ignacio showed up on time and didnt leave my residence until my unit was up and running at 100 percent. Heat wave in LA .... and we realize the AC is *barely* working :( yikes! I assumed wed be stuck for a week without AC in the Valley because these guys are probably swamped.Ignacio came out to inspect the problem and give us an estimate on the same day. He was professional, friendly and liked our dog (its the little things!) He explained the problem throughly. We confirmed with a friend who owns an HVAC company out of town that we were getting a fair price and reasonable explanation for the problem. We called back later that day to set up the repair. Sergio & Jesus came out the next day and fixed it in less the quoted timeframe, and worked past 6pm to complete the job! They were friendly, showed us how to spot future problems and they were neat & respectful. So very happy with our service - our house is finally cool again! We will call them to set up routine seasonal inspections - something I didnt even realize we should have been doing all along.
