Went on sunday 6/23 for a lesson with Ben. Ben has a great eye for catching your mistakes and offering helpful advice. Had a wonderful time, was able to pick up foiling in the first lesson! It really is a unique sensation when you manage to get the board up out of the water and foiling. My friend tried the scooter and I was on the carbon fiber flightboard. You dont need to have surfing experience to foil on a board, I definitely feel like surfing is harder than foiling.

Super fun experience, great way to start a Sunday. My wife and I were both able to stand up and turn the board in both directions after about 20 mins, even though we have different levels of experience with board sports. Definitely worth it.

Very relaxed lesson- the Alameda setting was great and I was given plenty of time and help to get up foiling. Only downside was I had so much fun now I bought a foil.

Mike and his crew are truly the best. Theyve got the best customer service, and go above and beyond to get me my gear, even super last minute before a surf trip. A+ company. Thanks guys!And in case you were on the fence about Fliteboard vs. other brands...Fliteboard all the way. Highest quality, dependable, and the best choice for e-foiling in surf.

I was a bit nervous about giving this a try because I’ve never done any sort of board sports or waterskiing. Mike was an excellent instructor and walked me through all of the steps and I actually ended up being able to get the hang of it by the end of the lesson. It was a ton of fun and the staff makes it all easy.

Im a struggling wing-foiler. This wing-foiling thing looks fun but is so damn hard. E-foiling looks like a good way to break down the struggle so I can focus on the foiling part.Mike was my teacher over the weekend. He was a good teacher. He gave good instructions, yet gave me time and room to play with it myself. I was able to get on the foil a few times by the end of lesson. Definitively plan to doing a few more to really nail down the basics. Heck I might ditch wing-foiling and stick with efoiling :-)

I had my first flite experience with Mike. He and And his partner Danilo walked me through all aspects of foiling…Absolutely amazing! Professional, one on one guidance and instruction. It takes time but worth the “take-off”! Highly recommend unlike any other water sport experience.

I am a 74 year-old male who has enjoyed many water sports in my life. In Dec. 2022, YouTube videos showed my the sport of wing foiling and efoiling. They looked great to me, but I wondered if I was too old for the sport and if San Francisco water was too cold. My curiosity was strong enough to try a lesson with Mike at BayFoils in January, 2023. With the wetsuit they provided, plus booties and hood, the water was very pleasant. I spent about 10 minutes on my belly and then about 10 minutes on my knees before I started foiling. After about 40 minutes, I could foil with stability on my knees. I decided not to stand up on my first lesson. My progress on day 1 was good enough. Next lesson will be for standing up.The sport is great, even for older people in the Winter. Bayfoils is a great place to learn. The instructor, facilities and equipment are great. Im looking forward to my next lesson.

For sure, a 5 out of 5 experience. Danillo is a great instructor and had me up cruising around right away. I had serious doubts about my ability to get up on foil my first time out, but the step by step instructions I received could not have been better. Im already making plans to go back with a friend in a couple weeks. What more is there to say? Thanks, Danillo!
