My print arrived quickly and I am exceptionally happy with how well it turned out! I worked extensively with Byron who helped me determine how large the image could be printed and sent me photo paper swatches so that I could best decide the right paper for the image. When I asked for his expertise, he was always happy to provide it and did so with kindness and patience. I am most grateful and highly recommend Bay Photo to anyone wanting to print photos they care deeply about. Thank you so much! :)

Ive ordered many prints from them over the years. Metal prints are my favorite! I sent my eclipse photos to another big online printing company TWICE; each time the photos looked like hard boiled eggs cut in half. Bay Photo Lab printed them BEAUTIFULLY the first time. I could not be happier with their excellent service.

Bay Photo failed to produce an order for my client leaving both my client and I string along for several days. Their team lied about delivery dates and production time. Never was an as much as an apology offered or an explanation as to why our order was not made. Will absolutely never do business with them again.

I always use Bay Photo when I want a metal print but during a time I needed a metal print delivered to MA from CA for a funeral they went above and beyond. I placed order through web site and called with my expedited need for a friend who passed in an airplane crash, it was met with zero resistance. The representative was new (Cindy) and created the rush order with sincerity. The order was placed @ 3PM Monday (Martin Luther King Day) and it was on my doorstep @ 11AM on Wednesday. The print was flawless!. Thank you so much for meeting this need!

I am very disappointed by my recent order of prints. Colors are dark. Pictures are flat. These prints are unusable and Im simply throwing the prints away.Requested color correction with the hope that some human would review the prints, compare against the JPEG as shown on a monitor and realize how poor the print matched up.I have used Bay Photo Lab a couple of times never being satisfied. I only used them this time because my local lab was unavailable and I needed these prints to keep a deadline.Maybe because I am a nature photographer my images are not handled well by their processes. But I will never use them again and would discourage anyone I know.

Multiple issues with sending my clients broken frames with poor product quality. They do not provide refunds, only remakes, which my clients have declined several times due to poor quality. Find another lab if you care about quality, professionalism, and providing a good service for your clients.

Excellent customer service and amazing quality! I ordered 3 large (36x24) metal prints and they came out looking incredible! My clients were very pleased with the quality as well. Would definitely recommend! These photos do not do justice to the actual product because the prints were still inside their protective plastic.

Asked for too much apparently. Spent 270 dollars with high hopes of getting feedback on ensuring color would come out as first image. Got a dull metal print instead. This was supposed to evoke awe and it’s just quite dull in print. Sent notes and called and was assured my thoughts and requests would be considered. Feel like I wasted money, although I’m trying to see the glass half full.Update***After giving them a call, they owned up the error and have said they will send the right print expeditiously. Customer service saved on this order. Just wish they read the notes earlier.

Amateur photographers first time experience with Bay Photo and I must say I am THRILLED with the results. The team at Bay Photo lab worked with me through multiple revisions to get my panoramic 3 metal prints (20 x 20) to absolute perfection! Definitely use the sheer gloss finish if getting metal. It looks amazing on water, sky, buildings by letting the metal reflect light through the print. Highly recommended!

Great print quality and level of customization. I ordered a large framed photo print. Only issue was the print did not stick to the surface within the frame. Awful adhesive, I had to glue it back on. Rather disappointing considering the cost paid for this order.

These folks are absolutely wonderful. I just picked up a larger print, 55x18 and its amazing. The physical print is gorgeous, the stretch is PERFECT, the frame is all NEW pine - with vertical supports. Even the packing was NUTZ! Wrapped, protected, THEN boxed.And setting up the print online? OMG - the software is solid enough that I didnt have to ask any questions. Laid it out, squared it up, option/option/option - GO!An absolute wonderful experience front to back. Recommended doesnt begin to cut it.Thank you *ALL*.

Service has gone downhill ever since they were sold to Circle Graphics company. I spent $12,470 will them in 2020 and $10,909 with them this year. So Im a regular customer. Shipping on time seems to be an issue and frames are damaged upon arrival about 20% of the time. The canvas prints occasionally have minor defects, but less than frames. Photo prints have always been good and so have metals. Color consistency is very good though.Customer service is very good on the phone while email support is not very responsive. Id consider them an average lab but a few years ago I considered them a top lab. Ill still use them, because of the color consistency, but I would recommend against using them for frames, especially with delays in shipping. I ordered a frame 15 days ago and it still hasnt started production.EDIT 12/28/21 - Bay photo responded. I appreciate this. However, they have not responded to either of the 2 emails I sent (sent 8 days ago and 5 days ago). They just responded to this review. I understand their issue with the supply chain, but this was never communicated to me until I wrote this review. There is one way I believe they can improve.* Respond to emails within 48 hours and tell us what is going on. For example...Im sorry, weve had unexpected issues with the supply chain. I know you wanted this before Christmas but we dont have an update on when they frames will be finished. We will ship it as soon as we can. Again we are very sorry for the issue and hope to have it resolved soon

Fort Worth fire department hired these jokers to do our yearbook and individual photos. Not only do they overcharge you for every single “upgrade” possible, the quality is subpar. Just got my photos and it’s unbelievable. No border at all in between sheets of pictures in order to be able to cut them out. On top of that, they found some way to crop out our entire fire department patch off our sleeve and out of the picture. Then, when I brought this to their attention on their instagram page they immediately blocked me and reported the comment.They obviously operate as you would expect after you meet them. SHADY.

I will never go to another printing company again. Bay photo is my go to for everything when it comes to prints and products for not only my walls but for my clients and customers. They are fast and efficient. If something is wrong, shipping or damage, they remake it within 24 hours and drop ship to the address in less than a few days. How was Bay Photo Lab? I dont know yet my print still hasnt shipped. Ive used BPL in the past though & their quality was always excellent. So, Im guessing thats why it takes so much longer than other online print ordering services that get your products to you sooner. Plus I ordered the gator foamboard with float mount which takes longer for some reason. I actually ordered prints & statuettes from another company on the same day & received all of my orders the next day. The quality was good to great. Im hoping Bay Photo Labs quality is still excellent. If I remember I will follow up when I finally receive my print.Okay... following up after receiving my print. First, the Bay Photo Lab website has a list of products they make & the fulfillment time it takes to make each of them. The print I ordered with gatorboard & float-mount backing takes 5 days to make, then I paid for 2 day shipping. I ordered my metallic print on a Thursday evening & received it on the following Wednesday morning. So I actually received my beautiful print sooner than expected. The quality was superb and my wedding couple loved it.

I have been ordering for years. Completely disappointed in my last order with regards to production time. In their chart it says 2 days for Prints under 30 inches. Yet my order took 5 days of Production time. My order is also taking another 8 days of shipping to New York. I have referred 100s of clients but can not continue to do so . Taking my business elsewhere. Its a shame. If you are looking for a quick turn around take your business elsewhere.

I would give them a 4.5 if there was half stars. Ended up with a near perfect product but not without issues. First book they left out a page and printed another twice. The white text was yellow and sometimes orange. I had mostly white text and some grey text and after discussing the color issues with them we decided to change the grey to white text. This was supposed to be at no charge but they charged my credit card again (over $500) and it took over 10 days to get money back. The 4 to 5 day production time is closer to 21 days. Overall, I am happy, but there are other places for less money with same quality. Not sure if I will go back but I might.

First and last time I will use B*& Photo Lab. Terrible experience. Still havent received. Ordered on Tuesday, 20 Sept, shipped on Wednesday with 2 day shipping and still waiting 7 days later. I called and met miss sassy, who said they were losing money on the shipping rate and they mailed with two day label not their problem. I felt like she was competing. You didnt get it on time, BUT we paid more than we charged you I asked her name and she said Have a good day and hung up. Definitely not worth it.

Bay used to be the best on every level. Things have changed, Im a 10 year customer. Everything has gotten harder for businesses in the last few years and theyve been sold. I feel the difference in customer service. Quality of the work is still good, I just dread calling if I have a problem. Packaging is also changing without notice and with their drop ship service, I need to know how my orders are being shipped to my customers. They dont always know. Price changes happen without notice, and as a business owner myself, I dont feel their concern for their clients on that level. Supplies get more expensive, I know. You, Bay, are MY supplier so your frustration and need to increase pricing is also trickled down to my need to do the same. Some notice would be nice. How good or how bad a lab is ultimately reflects on a photographers business. Thats not a concern Bay ever expresses. Still a customer, but you just arent what you used to be, sadly.

I have ordered many pictures from Bay Photo and just love the quality. Its more expensive than, say, Costco, but definitely worth it when it comes to canvas pictures. Shipping is expensive too, but I happen to live very near it so I can always go to there to pick up my photos.

Several years ago as I was developing my business a mentor recommended using Bay Photo. I was initially really pleased with their work but over the past 12 months I have seen not only their quality decrease but also a significant fall off in customer service. I recently had a show I was going to and I placed an order almost two weeks in advance paying for expedited shipping. While checking frequently for the updated shipping information, I only saw that the order was pending shipment. I called customer service and they said they had made an internal error and would expedite the shipment so I had it in time for my show. They didnt expedite the delivery and the package didnt arrive in time. I also sent an email to Bay Photo asking about what happened with no response. I understand that things happen but it shows poor customer service and unreliable delivery timing.The thing I have really been disappointed with is the inconsistency in quality of the prints. Everything from green and purple hues in the shadows to softening of the prints. I know people will continue to use them but I would be wary if you do so and I have even had inconsistencies between the same print. As a small business, I just cant afford to deal with these mistakes and poor customer service. If you are going to use, them, I would absolutely be cautious before putting in large order. Its a bummer to have to write this but Bay Photo has really fallen from the quality and standards they use to have.

I just received my first ever mounted photo print. It’s completely perfect! I edit my own photos on a large, vivid monitor and I wanted it to look exactly as it did on my computer- and it does! I placed a commercial order of a coal tipple. Difficult subject the workers dressed in black against black machinery. (In my opinion) - it was printed a little dark and Bay Photo reprinted it without any question. I was very impressed as it could be a personal opinion until you see the final print to be sure.

This is my go to lab for printing. I hate to admit it, but I use to patronize their retail store when I was in college at UCSC and they were located downtown where I use to buy film, books and chemistry from them. Years later, when I started outsourcing my digital prints, I used Aspen Creek. Bay Photo acquired them which is how I started patronizing them again. They have a great product line; good pricing; and great quality control. Can’t recommend them highly enough. A+

I hate leaving negative reviews but my experience wasnt great. I ordered a simple print as a gift with plenty of time and paid for the two day shipping just to be safe. A week later it hadnt arrived. I contacted them and it said the print was still in production. An hour later they said it shipped. Too late for the birthday. Bummer. My guess is they forgot about me. I ordered two metal prints for the first time from Bay Photo. I had googled metal prints, and they were in the top ratings. I had to make a couple of changes regarding delivery address and they were so responsive and friendly! I was nervous about how the prints would look as I had never tried having photos printed on metal. They were beautiful, even better than I had hoped! If I could give 0 stars for service I would, to say I’m completely disappointed would be an understatement. I will never use Bay Photo again. I place an order and it said on the website if I placed it by a certain day, it would be here by Christmas. The bad part wasn’t that it didn’t get here until the 28th but there was absolutely no communication from the company. I started calling the week before Christmas and each person said they were trying to send it out the next day, so I called the next day when I didn’t get a notification it was sent and I was told it was finished and sitting there since the 13th and the person wasn’t sure why it wasn’t sent out yet. Finally by the 4th day of calling I requested to speak to a supervisor, the supervisor explained the process of making the book and said she was not sure when it would be sent out, when I asked if I could speak to someone that is processing my order, I was told that they were not taking calls. All I needed was to know if I would get the album by Christmas or not since this was a gift and I would have to make other plans for Christmas Day, needless to say, it did not arrive and that was very disappointing, the book arrived today and it’s fine but I won’t make a mistake using them again.

They use to be good. I ordered 2 different mental prints, hot 2 of the same. I also noted the colored were terrible. They said they would correct and sent out. That was 3 weeks ago, went a week off and on hold. Told today it was canceled and they have dumbed the 2 picture. No remake or refund.

Ive been very pleased with my experiences ordering from Bay Photo.Their acrylic prints are affordable and high quality. The color has always been spot on. I switched to Bay Photo after having issues with other labs, such as misaligned acrylic and miscolored images. Im happy with my decision to switch!The only issue I had was resolved quickly. I received a large print that was improperly done; I contacted them and they sent me a replacement. Great customer service!Ive also found their online ordering system to be one of the easiest to use.

I am so grateful that my college told me about this printing lab company. I recently did a huge art show called the Nyack Art Walk near NYC. This company Bay Photo I dont know what I would have done without them? The owner Darren personally called me that was amazing that he truly wants his customers completely satisfied. My order was taken on by specifically by Matthew the expert printer who was able to navigate the files and figure out a solution. Even though these guy are in Santa Cruz I felt like I met the entire team. Everyone was working with me for my success & finally Angel the last person that I spoke to took care of all delivery & issues so my work arrived on the opening day of the show. I dont know how they made this work but they showed me the true value of what a successful team is. This is my business of choice now for metal prints & more. I found Bay Photo Lab after running into a supply issue with my usual print shop. I ordered two medium / large size metallic prints, matte finish.The quality and appearance of the prints far exceeds what I expected. The contrast and tones really pop when under lighting, but also exhibit a mysterious quality when viewed indirectly. They are very lively prints.My ONLY complaint is that one print was wired upside down using the exhibition mounts. In their defense, however, most of my work is abstract and it would be easy to hang them at a different orientation. This would not have been a big issue, except for the fact that one of the set screws were very badly damaged, making it impossible to reposition the existing hanging wire. The other print had two minor surface flaws (pictured) .The shipping material and packaging was extremely secure and well put together, so much so that it would probably take a major incident to damage the artwork in shipment.Turnaround time was less than a week, and the art actually arrived two days ahead of the estimated arrival date.Overall, Im very pleased, and will be printing with this company in the future.

Turned a one star to a five star! Shortly after posting the below review, I was contacted by Customer Service Supervisor Jennifer. She immediately, and without any hassle, rectified the situation. My current order was cancelled to allow me to upload the correct image in a new order, which I have done. I was very happy with the quality of the first order I placed, and am looking forward to receiving my second.Incredibly disappointed in the customer service I received. My first order with them was great, so I placed another. There was a mix up with the file upload, and I contacted them to see if I could upload the correct image, and was told no, theres no way to change, correct, or cancel the order at this time. It has not left their facility and isnt scheduled to ship until 6 days from now, but Angel R was incredibly dismissive and not helpful at all. I am out hundreds of dollars for my order, and will never use this company again.

There was a mix up where my photo was printed rather dark and I called Bay Photo Lab and spoke with Byron and he was absolutely amazing. He communicated how that could’ve happened with my order specs and their lab editing and had absolutely no issue sending me another print free of charge with the corrections. He was so awesome to talk to and ever sparked conversation about the photo (it was of a candid photo of my partner proposing to me). He congratulated me and was absolutely a pleasure to talk to about everything.For every print in my future, I will be working with bay photo lab. Extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with the delay in producing my order and lack of response from the company.I placed an order for prints on December 3rd. On the website, my order was scheduled to be shipped on December 8th, but today is December 16th and my order has not yet been shipped! I have already contacted support via email and via the website, but have not received any response. I have a deadline to meet with my clients and I dont even have a forecast when I will receive my photos! There is no way to work with a company that, in addition to not meeting the deadlines that the company proposes, does not provide an answer to the customer.

I believe the metal photo prints are well done but the turn around time is surprisingly long. They give you an estimated ship date and dont end up shipping for awhile after that. I was surprised with how long, once I emailed them and asked what was going on, they sent out immediately, and were responsive. I recommend, but just know that it wont be delivered all that fast.

I called the customer service phone # 3 times and finally got someone who would answer the phone, wanting to know why my order was still not to me within their time limit. Only answer I got was rude, sorry you decided to order at the end of a school year, you will just have to wait. I will never order from Bay Photo again. Been a customer for 9 years, it used to be great, not anymore.

Also, when you pay for shipping, you shouldnt have to wait a week before they fulfill the order. I’ve always used BayPhoto and loved their prints. However, I have to give 2 stars because they require you to download and use their App BayROES for certain orders.BayROES gave me nothing but trouble. I tried to design calendars for my photo business. I think I had to re-design the whole calendar at least 10 times.Once I thought I had the calendar the way I wanted it, I ordered it and the invoice showed the front cover was missing its picture. 3 weeks later I was notified I finally could get a refund.I re-designed the calendar. AGAIN. The invoice showed everything was perfect. Therefore, I took orders from clients and ordered 6 more calendars. I received two and double checked the invoice and it was right. I’m so glad I opened them before shipping them to clients. The months’ pictures are messed up, and there was a picture that had printed for 2 months in a row. I spent over $100 on calendars for my professional business and had them all come out wrong.If BayPhoto allowed every order to be designed on their website, rather than on their glitchy app, I don’t think these problems would have occurred because every other print I’ve ordered in the past has been amazing.

OMG! Bay Photos customer service is AMAZING! We have always received great service from them but just recently Byron went above and beyond expectations and fixed a problem that was OUR fault! Im sure that most companies would not have helped, but Byron did not hesitate to fix the problem without blame. I ordered prints from Bay Photo Lab on January 13th. They advertise, on their website, how they will have photos printed and in the mail in 1 day. Well, today is the 18th of January and they still have not completed printing. I ordered 11 photos...not 1100, 11. I emailed and sent chat correspondence for days, and never received a response from this company. Today I finally got hold of someone through the chat...she says, at this very moment when they finally are responding to me, that they are putting finishing sprays on my photos and they will be completed soon... Why in the heck would Bay Photo advertise printing to be completed in a day, when they cannot complete it in 5 days? I asked for a refund and to cancel this order... their answer was NO... Over the past years Ive had 4 or 5 images printed and mounted by Bay Photo ... The good: since I proof everything myself I cant comment on their color correction. My prints and what I receive from their lab match perfectly... The turnaround is outstandingly fast with ball park pricing, I had an issue on a previous large print which took care of immediately (more on that later). The not so good: I usually print myself and have a frame shop in San Rafael do my mounting, their prices are quite reasonable and everything they do is of great quality.. But I need to drive across the bridge drop it off and pick it up a week or so later, not a big deal if Im having multiple images mounted. I will use Bay photo sometime when they have a special... although what you see is not always what you get. I just used one of their specials. It was any 2 prints at least 16 inches in size for 40% off. Sounded pretty good to me so I mastered a couple of images and sent them off. They came a day or so later, very fast. Problem was there promo was a little misleading, it was 40% off for the prints and nothing else, mounting the spraying and everything else was the normal price, feel a little cheated on that one, as I couldve printed those myself had San Rafael do it and saved 70 or $80. The 2nd issue which I mentioned earlier, I had a large metal print (60x20) done by them as it was ..of course... on special. Problem was it was mounted on gator board and when delivered to me was slightly warped. Called them up they jumped right on it and sent me a 2nd print. That one is a little warped as well... Luckily it was a personal print for me, if it had been for client it that would not have flown. The problem is the gator board is just too thin for that size image. They should have used thicker gator board, or used two vertical mounting blocks on the back along with the 2 horizontal blocks they use keep the warping in check. ... I gave them 3 stars and might use them again, but next time I will be a lot more careful on what I order.... and for sure read the fine print!

Bay Photo lab makes excellent photo prints! I am very happy with the quality. Been looking for a real photo lab for a while. It seems, that what once was standard, has slipped away. Photos nowadays tend to look like jokes (even when loaded up in full resolution or tiff formats), fuzzy, blurry, low pixel count. Customers get to hear the fairy tale, that computers are backlit. Therefore images would look better on screen than printed out. Hogwash! If anything, print-outs, any printouts, should look better than an image on a screen. Went photo lab hunting and tested several around the country - remote upload. Bay Photo Lab came out my winner by far! Crisp prints, range of nuances, in-depth-details, natural colors, wonderful gradients, nice array of available photo papers. I am using them for all high quality photo needs now. Like! 👍👍👍

Always a problem with Bay Photo. Problem #1- took a oversized photograph there to be scanned. It was a restoration job for a client. Photo was extremely damaged and I was hired to fix it. But my scanner wasnt large enough to scan the photograph, so I took it to BayPhoto to simply have it scanned and put as a digital file on CD. Once I got the CD home & opened the image, I was absolutely shocked that the technician decided to try to fix the image! It was covered in gigantic clone stamp (Photoshop edits) marks! It looked awful.Needless to say, I had to go out of my way and make a second trip to BayPhoto and again wait even longer for the turnaround to just have a simple task as scanning done .Problem #2- Twice upon picking up an item at the Branciforte store, after I ordered through the BayRoes application, I received the wrong item! They gave me another photographers CD case! Twice!! So again at my inconvenience I had to re-order re-upload and go through the whole process all over again twice!Problem #3- I once again ordered another CD case for a wedding client and decided to do the local route delivery which is a great convenient way to receive my products at my doorstep if they delivered the right product. Again I received the wrong CD case!!! Absolutely puzzling.Problem #4- Youd think I would have learned my lesson! But I ordered again through BayRoes some prints for a client and had it as a pick up at the Branciforte store, dragging along my 2yr old son. After spending 15 minutes with a crazy toddler & the person behind the counter who could not locate my item. I decided to call the Scotts Valley Lab. As if the employee couldnt do that! They informed me that it was shipped over to the Soquel store! So I had to load up my toddler and drive across town at 4 oclock in the afternoon on a Friday to pick up my prints that shouldve been at the Branciforte store. Inconvienced again!Problem #5- just this past Tuesday again ordered a DVD case for a client and had it as local route delivery which usually is a turnaround time of 24 hours. Today is Friday and I have yet to receive it. So once again, I called the Scotts Valley Lab, only to be informed that it wasnt in production yet! And the soonest they can get it to me was Monday if I still chose the local route delivery. For some reason they didnt have a delivery driver, yet no one took the time to call me and let me know of this inconvenience. And to make matters worse the gentleman who answered the phone was very rude and very unapologetic. Its supposed to be ready for pick up tomorrow at the Branciforte store. God help me if its actually there.Perhaps Bay Photo needs to pay closer attention to their clients needs and the efficiency of the delivered item.Absolutely will not do business again with Bay Photo. Such a bummer as Santa Cruz had limited options

On the invoice next to a picture of my family.My baby girl was the one that opened the package from Bay Photo and she doesnt understand why someone would boo us. NOT A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT. As a professional photographer, I cant use any of the medium to larger canvas, stretcher wrapped prints that I spent a couple grand on. The canvas becomes wavy across the frame, it is not stretched flat. The stretcher is cheap finger jointed wood, it is not a real painting stretcher that can be adjusted with wedges. The stretched canvas products are NOT professional. I cant and wouldnt put any of these in the gallery. After spending over three hundred on the larger prints, now I have to buy stretchers and redo them, though I will never recover the ultimate adjusted cost of these reworked prints. Very disappointed.

I was told the resolution was too low; however, I was only told about the quality of the image after I paid $120 for the photo. The piece arrived with a crooked horizon line (stretched incorrectly- you could tell from the border line on the sides that it was the production rather than my image) and without the float frame that I had ordered.
